The assessment of qualification involves evaluating the educational level comparability of your qualifications on the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and determining the relevancy of your qualifications for your chosen occupation.
VETASSESS employment assessment involves determining if your work experience (obtained either in Australia or overseas) is at an appropriate skill level and related to your chosen occupation.
A successful assessment of both qualifications and employment is necessary to achieve a positive skills assessment for migration.
Skilled Occupations Lists:
Occupations may be eliminated from either the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), the Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and the Regional Occupation List (ROL) anytime and without notice from the government of Australia. If VETASSESS is the designed evaluating authority for your chosen occupation, refer to the official website or hire a VETASSESS expert to know about the VETASSESS assessment criteria for your chosen occupation. In summary, the VETASSESS Skills Assessment takes into account the relevancy of qualifications and employment to the chosen occupation. The qualification/s assessment evaluates the general educational level of the qualification in Australian terms and the relevancy of the major area of study. Only a qualification/s assessment is necessary for a 485 visa. An assessment of both employment and qualification/s is necessary for permanent residence purposes.

Click on Apply or Track Application (on the official website) and complete the online application form. When applying online, upload high-quality colour scans of the necessary documents. If you want to have your application processed under Priority Processing, choose this option on your on our application when you submit it.
Your application will be given to an evaluation office and if there are extra documents necessary, the authority will inform you online.
Once your skills assessment application is complete, it will enable you to view and download your skills assessment outcome letter from the online portal. You will not have a hard copy of the outcome letter posted to you unless otherwise indicated in the postage payment section of your application.
