Diablo 4 Season 1 is based on the Malignant theme which players will witness many new challenges, such as the Malignant Tunnels and Malignant Hearts. Malignant enemies have taken over the Sanctuary, and defeating them will drop loot with powerful buffs. Among other things, crafting the Malignant Invokers is a key part of collecting Malignant Hearts in Season 1. As a result, progression throughout the season may be difficult if players are unable to obtain Malignant Invokers. Fortunately, this guide will show you how to craft and use the Malignant Invoker.

What are Malignant Invokers?

The Malignant Invokers are crafted items introduced in Diablo 4 season 1. It works similarly to the Nightmare Sigils and is used to activate large Pustule formations called Malignant Outgrowths inside of the Malignant Tunnels. Stab an Invoker into its corresponding Outgrowth, and it will summon a Fully Corrupted Malignant Elite, which you need to defeat to get a corresponding Malignant Invoker. The Malignant Tunnels are filled with tons of enemies and are a great place to get D4 Items.

How to Craft Malignant Invokers?

There are four types of Invokers, which are Vicious Invoker, Brutal Invoker, Devious Invoker, and Wrathful Invoker. You can craft three of these types of Invokers at Cormond's Workbench. Different types of Invokers require different crafting materials. But inevitably, you'll need to collect enough Malignant Ichor first, which is the primary crafting ingredient for making Malignant Invokers. The easiest way to collect Malignant Ichor is to defeat Malignant enemies in the Malignant Tunnels, which drop large amounts of Malignant Ichor. You can also salvage the Malignant Heart at Cormond's Workbench to get Malignant Ichor. Once collecting enough Malignant Ichor, you can craft Invokers. If you want to craft a Brutal Invoker, you'll need 20 Vicious Malignant Ichor, 20 Devious Malignant Ichor, 50 Brutal Malignant Ichor, and 1000 D4 Gold For Sale.

It's worth mentioning that you can't directly craft a Wrathful Malignant Invoker. You can only randomly get it from Uncertain Invoker.

How to Use Malignant Invokers?

When you get to the end of a Malignant Tunnel you'll see a Malignant Outgrowth there, stab it with an Invoker of the same color to summon a Fully Corrupted Malignant Elite, which you need to defeat to get the Malignant Heart that drops.

Go to the game and use the Malignant Invoker to activate the Malignant Outgrowth, and defeat the Malignant Elite to get the Malignant Heart.
