The term “ASET Assessment” can be explained as an alternation of technical report approved by the “Board of Examiners” to detect the quality and level of technologists in this technical field. In this particular course, the board members urges to the candidates to generate and submit an additional report as “ASET Assessment” for the curriculum. The fundamental requirement is to develop an ideal technical report.

Reasons for the requirement of technical report guidelines             

Engineering students have been following the “technical report guidelines” to make a proper report for their academic purpose. The primary objective to generate a technical report in the Engineering sector is to effectively solve the issues that have already been bothering the engineering activities. In that case, it can be observed that maintaining “a technical report guideline” can help to proceed the work with ethics and authenticity. “A technical report” should follow all the guidelines and the report must be made up with at least 3000 words. On the other hand, “technical report guidelines” already excluded some components such as, “summary”, “bibliography”, “appendices” and “table of contents”.

“Categories of ASET”:  “ASET Technical Report'' is mainly divided into three different categories. They are

●       “Laboratory or Analytical report”: It is a special type of investigative description of an analytics or laboratory based and  that includes lots of equipment . In addition, examinations of “software packages” are required for analytical reports.

●       “Research report”:The formation of a research report includes a deep search regarding relevant topics from literature, libraries and brochures. This kind of report needs to cover a wider range of areas, hence government data can be taken as one of the authentic sources of information.

●       “Construction Report”: Construction report is mainly associated with real time application and “performance tests”. Other components of “construction report” are, “investigation”, “specification” and “application”.

“Guidelines for ASET”: “ASET technical report” need to follow some guidelines such as,

●       Appropriate application of documents and proper references need to be done.

●     Report should contain footnotes of relevant Engineering topics to demonstrate the depth of the understanding of that specific topic.
