1. Use lean beef

The best way to get rid of fat is to use lean meat. Lean meat contains less than 10% fat and is much healthier than fatty meats. If you want to add flavor to your hamburgers, try using ground beef with 20-30% fat content.

2. Add salt

Salt is a great addition to any dish, including burgers. Salt helps to enhance the flavor of food and adds a nice crunch to the burger. You can find many different types of salt at your local grocery store. Try adding about 1/8 teaspoon per pound of meat.

3. Cook the meat thoroughly

Cooking meat thoroughly means cooking it until no pink remains. When you cook meat, the natural juices inside the meat are released and mix with the seasoning to create a flavorful sauce.

4. Make sure the grill is clean

Grilling should always be done over an open flame. Never use gas grills or electric grills to grill burgers. Gas grills produce toxic fumes that can cause cancer. Electric grills do not provide enough heat to properly sear the outside of the burger.

5. Keep the temperature low

When you grill a burger, keep the temperature low. A high temperature will dry out the meat, making it tough and chewy. Low temperatures allow the meat to remain juicy and tender.

6. Let the meat rest

After you have finished cooking your burger, let it sit for 5 minutes before serving. This gives the juices time to redistribute throughout the meat.

7. Serve immediately

Serve your burger right away after you finish cooking it. If you wait too long, the juices will leak out and run down onto the plate.
