Blockchain’s self-sovereign identity model empowers users to control their personal data, granting advertisers access through tokenized permissions. This not only strengthens privacy but also enables consumers to benefit from sharing their data.

However, scalability remains a hurdle. Decentralized networks introduce latency issues in real-time ad bidding, and platforms like Ethereum still grapple with high transaction fees. While programmatic advertising demands speed and efficiency, blockchain must evolve to meet these performance standards without sacrificing transparency.

Implementing blockchain in advertising requires an upfront investment. Businesses must carefully assess risks and allocate resources before integrating blockchain into their marketing infrastructure.
