  • Hypnotic line art is a modern form in which white narrow curved ribbons, with the width and direction varying along each path over a black background, provide a keen sense of 3D objects regarding surface shapes and topological contours. However, the procedure of manually creating such line art work can be quite tedious and time-consuming. In this paper, we present an interactive system that offers a What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) scheme for producing hypnotic line art images by integrating and placing evenly-spaced streamlines in tensor fields. With an input picture segmented, the user just needs to sketch a few illustrative strokes to guide the construction of a tensor field for each part of the objects therein. Specifically, we propose a new method which controls, with great precision, the aesthetic layout and artistic drawing of an array of streamlines in each tensor field to emulate the style of hypnotic line art. Given several parameters for streamlines such as density, thickness, and sharpness, our system is capable of generating professional-level hypnotic line art work. With great ease of use, it allows art designers to explore a wide variety of possibilities to obtain hypnotic line art results of their own preferences.Geological analysis of 3D Digital Outcrop Models (DOMs) for reconstruction of ancient habitable environments is a key aspect of the upcoming ESA ExoMars 2022 Rosalind Franklin Rover and the NASA 2020 Rover Perseverance missions in seeking signs of past life on Mars. Geologists measure and interpret 3D DOMs, create sedimentary logs and combine them in 'correlation panels' to map the extents of key geological horizons, and build a stratigraphic model to understand their position in the ancient landscape. Currently, the creation of correlation panels is completely manual and therefore time-consuming, and inflexible. With InCorr we present a visualization solution that encompasses a 3D logging tool and an interactive data-driven correlation panel that evolves with the stratigraphic analysis. For the creation of InCorr we closely cooperated with leading planetary geologists in the form of a design study. We verify our results by recreating an existing correlation analysis with InCorr and validate our correlation panel against a manually created illustration. Further, we conducted a user-study with a wider circle of geologists. Our evaluation shows that InCorr efficiently supports the domain experts in tackling their research questions and that it has the potential to significantly impact how geologists work with digital outcrop representations in general.Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have emerged as a powerful tool for object detection in 2D images. The proposed relation graph network comprises a 3D object proposal generation module and a 3D relation module, making it an end-to-end trainable network for detecting 3D objects in point clouds. Recent graph-based methods are inherently limited in the weak spatial context modeling capability due to fixed interaction pattern and inflexible shared weights of GCN. To address above problems, we propose the Multi-View Interactional Graph Network (MV-IGNet) which can construct, learn and infer multi-level spatial skeleton context, including view-level (global), group-level, joint-level (local) context, in a unified way. MV-IGNet leverages different skeleton topologies as multi-views to cooperatively generate complementary action features. For each view, Separable Parametric Graph Convolution (SPG-Conv) enables multiple parameterized graphs to enrich local interaction patterns, which provides strong graph-adaption ability to handle irregular skeleton topologies. We also partition the skeleton into several groups and then the higher-level group contexts including inter-group and intra-group, are hierarchically captured by above SPG-Conv layers.

    A previously healthy young woman presented with a 3 to 4 day history of fever, headache and a maculopapular rash that also affected her palms. She was in a stable condition and was admitted for observation and further investigations without initiating antibiotic treatment. During the next two days her condition improved spontaneously, and her symptoms were initially interpreted as a viral infection. On day 3, blood cultures taken on the day of admission came **** positive for Streptobacillus moniliformis, the causative agent of rat-bite fever. A more detailed patient history was taken, and the patient reported that she had several pet rats and one of them had given her some superficial scratches a few days before she fell ill.

Currently available literature reports suggest technical advancements on specific deep learning structures, with specific inputs and usually on a limited CLD fibrosis stage class group, with limited comparison on competitive deep learning schemes fed with different input types. The aim of the present study is to compare some popular deep learning pre-trained networks using temporally stable and full elastograms, with or without augmentation as well as propose suitable deentation led to lower performance for all networks. These findings can provide potential networks with higher accuracy and better setting in the CLD diagnosis and progress assessment. Statistical relationships found between the predictor variables and arsenic measurements are broadly consistent with major geochemical processes known to mobilize arsenic in aquifers. In addition to known high arsenic areas, such as along the Ganges and Brahmaputra rivers, we have identified several other areas around the country that have hitherto not been identified as potential arsenic hotspots. Based on recent reported rates of household groundwater use for rural and urban areas, we estimate that between about 18-30 million people in India are currently at risk of high exposure to arsenic through their drinking water supply.   • Purpose  To determine the reproducibility of corrected quantitative cerebral blood flow (qCBF) through measurement of transit flow time using multi-delay three-dimensional pseudo-continuous arterial spin labeling (pCASL) in healthy men and women and to evaluate the differences in qCBF between not only men and women, but also the follicular and luteal phases of the women's menstrual cycle. Methods  The participants were 16 healthy volunteers (8 men and 8 women ; mean age, 25.3 years). Two MRI were conducted for all participants ; female participants were conducted in the follicular and luteal phases. The reproducibility of qCBF values was evaluated by the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and differences between the two groups were estimated by voxel-based morphometry (VBM) analysis. Results  The qCBF values were lower in men than in women, and those in females were significantly different between the follicular and luteal phases (P  less then  0.05). In VBM analysis, the qCBF values of the lower frontal lobes were significantly higher in women than in men (P  less then  0.05). The qCBF values of the frontal pole were significantly higher in the follicular phase than in the luteal phase (P  less then  0.01). Conclusion  Multi-delay pCASL can reveal physiological and sex differences in cerebral perfusion. J. Med. Recent trials revealed that tolvaptan inhibits disease progression both in early-stage or late-stage ADPKD ; however, stratified analysis showed a difference of favorable factors correlated with tolvaptan efficacy between early-stage and late-stage ADPKD. Thus, we examined the efficacy of tolvaptan in ADPKD with a wide range of estimated glomerular filtration rates (eGFR). We enrolled 24 patients with eGFR 35.3 (28.0-65.5) ml / min / 1.73m2 and evaluated treatment effect as ΔΔeGFR (ml / min / 1.73m2 / year) or ΔΔtotal kidney volume (TKV) (% / year) that was calculated as post-treatment annual change - pre-treatment annual change. Pre ΔeGFR was significantly low in eGFR responders, defined as ΔΔeGFR > 0 ml / min / 1.73m2 / year. In eGFR responders, pre ΔeGFR, post ΔeGFR, eGFR, TKV, and proteinuria were significantly correlated with ΔΔeGFR. In TKV responders defined as ΔΔTKV > 5 % / year, we identified hypertension history, proteinuria, TKV, and post ΔTKV as significantly correlated factors with ΔΔTKV. In conclusion, pre ΔeGFR may be a predictive factor of therapeutic efficacy on kidney function. Tolvaptan may have greater efficacy in early-stage ADPKD with rapid GFR decline or with well-controlled blood pressure. J. Med. Invest. 67 315-320, August, 2020.The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of intranasal corticosteroid (INCS) administration on histamine H1 receptor (H1R) gene expression in the nasal mucosa of healthy participants and the effects of dexamethasone on basal and histamine-induced H1R mRNA expression, and histamine-induced phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) in HeLa cells. Sixteen healthy participants were given INCS once daily for a week. After pretreatment of dexamethasone, HeLa cells were treated with histamine. Levels of H1R mRNA and phosphorylation of ERK were measured using real time PCR and immunoblot analysis, respectively. Levels of H1R mRNA in the nasal mucosa of healthy participants receiving INCS was significantly decreased. Dexamethasone suppressed basal levels of H1R mRNA, and histamine-induced up-regulation of H1R mRNA and ERK phosphorylation in HeLa cells.     Purpose  To determine the reproducibility of corrected quantitative cerebral blood flow (qCBF) through measurement of transit flow time using multi-delay three-dimensional pseudo-continuous arterial spin labeling (pCASL) in healthy men and women and to evaluate the differences in qCBF between not only men and women, but also the follicular and luteal phases of the women's menstrual cycle. Methods  The participants were 16 healthy volunteers (8 men and 8 women ; mean age, 25.3 years). Two MRI were conducted for all participants ; female participants were conducted in the follicular and luteal phases. The reproducibility of qCBF values was evaluated by the intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) and differences between the two groups were estimated by voxel-based morphometry (VBM) analysis. Results  The qCBF values were lower in men than in women, and those in females were significantly different between the follicular and luteal phases (P  less then  0.05). In VBM analysis, the qCBF values of the lower frontal lobes were significantly higher in women than in men (P  less then  0.05). The qCBF values of the frontal pole were significantly higher in the follicular phase than in the luteal phase (P  less then  0.01). Recent trials revealed that tolvaptan inhibits disease progression both in early-stage or late-stage ADPKD ; however, stratified analysis showed a difference of favorable factors correlated with tolvaptan efficacy between early-stage and late-stage ADPKD. Thus, we examined the efficacy of tolvaptan in ADPKD with a wide range of estimated glomerular filtration rates (eGFR). We enrolled 24 patients with eGFR 35.3 (28.0-65.5) ml / min / 1.73m2 and evaluated treatment effect as ΔΔeGFR (ml / min / 1.73m2 / year) or ΔΔtotal kidney volume (TKV) (% / year) that was calculated as post-treatment annual change - pre-treatment annual change. Pre ΔeGFR was significantly low in eGFR responders, defined as ΔΔeGFR > 0 ml / min / 1.73m2 / year. In eGFR responders, pre ΔeGFR, post ΔeGFR, eGFR, TKV, and proteinuria were significantly correlated with ΔΔeGFR. In TKV responders defined as ΔΔTKV > 5 % / year, we identified hypertension history, proteinuria, TKV, and post ΔTKV as significantly correlated factors with ΔΔTKV. In conclusion, pre ΔeGFR may be a predictive factor of therapeutic efficacy on kidney function. Sixteen healthy participants were given INCS once daily for a week. After pretreatment of dexamethasone, HeLa cells were treated with histamine. Levels of H1R mRNA in the nasal mucosa of healthy participants receiving INCS was significantly decreased. Manuscripts were included if they were written in English and published in 1999 or later; focused specifically on DV and criminal justice and/or community responses; research outcomes were specific to cases, victims, or offenders; the intervention was clearly described and evaluated using an experimental or quasi-experimental design; and was implemented in the United States. Findings suggest that there is a great deal of variability across CCR studies involving law enforcement officers with regard to (a) whether studies used the term "coordinated community response" to describe the intervention being evaluated, (b) the types of cases included, (c) the nature of the CCR being evaluated, (d) the outcomes that were examined, and (e) how these outcomes were operationalized. These variations make it difficult for scholars to draw broader conclusions about the effectiveness of CCR interventions. Future research should include the identification of core outcomes that can be used across studies to allow for comparison studies and meta-analyses. In two experiments, we created and tested the effectiveness of a new game, Cyberpass, and investigated whether exclusion in this game increased positive attitudes toward violence in participants with high levels of narcissism. Cyberpass was effective in influencing feelings of lack of acceptance, and feelings of exclusion. Narcissism was correlated with less boredom and stronger feelings of rejection in the exclusion condition in Cyberpass. The Entitlement/Exploitativeness facet of narcissism was correlated with higher acceptance of violence in the exclusion condition. Results indicate that narcissistic individuals may be more supportive of violence after social exclusion but in order to experience this, they may require more explicit cues of ostracism.

In symmetric coordination complexes, the use of group theory and the symmetry-adapted linear combination (SALC) of fragment orbitals allows for a very accurate and informative interpretation of MOs, but the same procedure cannot be performed for asymmetric complexes, such as Schrock and Fischer carbenes. In this work, we present a straight-forward approach for classifying and quantifying MO contributions to a particular metal-ligand interaction. Our approach utilizes the topology of MO density contributions to a cross-section of an inter-nuclear region, and is computationally inexpensive and applicable to symmetric and asymmetric complexes alike. We also apply the same approach with similar decompositions using Natural Bond Orbitals (NBO) and the recently developed Fragment, Atomic, Localized, Delocalized and Interatomic (FALDI) density decomposition scheme. In particular, FALDI analysis provides additional insights regarding the multi-centric nature of metal-carbene bonds without resorting to expensive multi-reference calculations.
    This follow-up analysis of a Swedish prospective multicentre trial had the primary aim to determine invasive disease-free (IDFS), breast cancer-specific (BCSS) and overall survival (OS) rates, and their association with axillary staging results before and after neoadjuvant systemic therapy for breast cancer.

    Women who underwent neoadjuvant systemic therapy for clinically node-positive (cN+) or -negative (cN0) primary breast cancer between 2010 and 2015 were included. Patients had a sentinel lymph node biopsy before and/or after neoadjuvant systemic therapy, and all underwent completion axillary lymph node dissection. Follow-up was until February 2019. The main outcome measures were IDFS, BCSS and OS. Univariable and multivariable Cox regression analyses were used to identify independent factors associated with survival.

    The study included a total of 417 women. Median follow-up was 48 (range 7-114) months. Nodal status after neoadjuvant systemic therapy, but not before, was significantly associated with al axillary staging after neoadjuvant systemic therapy.The structural characterisation of actinide nanoparticles (NPs) is of primary importance and hard to achieve, especially for non-homogeneous samples with NPs less than 3 nm. By combining high-energy X-ray scattering (HEXS) and high-energy-resolution fluorescence-detected X-ray absorption near-edge structure (HERFD XANES) analysis, we have characterised for the first time both the short- and medium-range order of ThO2 NPs obtained by chemical precipitation. By using this methodology, a novel insight into the structures of NPs at different stages of their formation has been achieved. The pair distribution function revealed a high concentration of ThO2 small units similar to thorium hexamer clusters mixed with 1 nm ThO2 NPs in the initial steps of formation. Drying the precipitates at around 150 °C promoted the recrystallisation of the smallest units into more thermodynamically stable ThO2 NPs. HERFD XANES analysis at the thorium M4 edge, a direct probe for f states, showed variations that we have correlated with the breakdown of the local symmetry around the thorium atoms, which most likely concerns surface atoms. Together, HEXS and HERFD XANES are a powerful methodology for investigating actinide NPs and their formation mechanism.
    Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is recognized as a leading cause of obstetric morbidity and mortality. Population-wide studies have used International Classification of Diseases (ICD) diagnostic codes to track and report the prevalence of PPH. Although the 10th revision (ICD-10) was introduced in Sweden in 1997, the accuracy of ICD-10 codes for PPH is not known. Thus, the aim was to determine the accuracy of diagnostic coding for PPH in the Swedish Pregnancy Register.

    We performed a retrospective cohort study of 609807 deliveries in Sweden between 2014 and 2019. Information on ICD-10 codes for PPH and estimated blood loss were extracted from the Swedish Pregnancy Register. Using an estimated blood loss >1000mL as the reference standard, we evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of ICD-10 codes for PPH by estimating sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value with exact binomial 95% confidence intervals (CIs). In our secondary analysis, we assessed the ICD-10 coding accuracyicate that ICD-10 codes for PPH in Sweden have moderately high sensitivity and excellent specificity. In this work, we present a straight-forward approach for classifying and quantifying MO contributions to a particular metal-ligand interaction. Our approach utilizes the topology of MO density contributions to a cross-section of an inter-nuclear region, and is computationally inexpensive and applicable to symmetric and asymmetric complexes alike. We also apply the same approach with similar decompositions using Natural Bond Orbitals (NBO) and the recently developed Fragment, Atomic, Localized, Delocalized and Interatomic (FALDI) density decomposition scheme. In particular, FALDI analysis provides additional insights regarding the multi-centric nature of metal-carbene bonds without resorting to expensive multi-reference calculations. This follow-up analysis of a Swedish prospective multicentre trial had the primary aim to determine invasive disease-free (IDFS), breast cancer-specific (BCSS) and overall survival (OS) rates, and their association with axillary staging results before and after neoadjuvant systemic therapy for breast cancer. By using this methodology, a novel insight into the structures of NPs at different stages of their formation has been achieved. The pair distribution function revealed a high concentration of ThO2 small units similar to thorium hexamer clusters mixed with 1 nm ThO2 NPs in the initial steps of formation. Drying the precipitates at around 150 °C promoted the recrystallisation of the smallest units into more thermodynamically stable ThO2 NPs. Thus, the aim was to determine the accuracy of diagnostic coding for PPH in the Swedish Pregnancy Register. We performed a retrospective cohort study of 609807 deliveries in Sweden between 2014 and 2019. Information on ICD-10 codes for PPH and estimated blood loss were extracted from the Swedish Pregnancy Register. Using an estimated blood loss >1000mL as the reference standard, we evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of ICD-10 codes for PPH by estimating sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value with exact binomial 95% confidence intervals (CIs). In our secondary analysis, we assessed the ICD-10 coding accuracyicate that ICD-10 codes for PPH in Sweden have moderately high sensitivity and excellent specificity.      In patients with cancer-associated venous thromboembolism (VTE), the risk of recurrence is similar after incidental and symptomatic events. It is unknown whether the same applies to incidental VTE not associated with cancer.

     = 131; 52% without cancer) and symptomatic (
     = 1,931) VTE included in the SWIss Venous ThromboEmbolism Registry (SWIVTER). After incidental VTE, 114 (87%) patients received anticoagulation therapy for at least 3 months. The mortality rate was 9.2% after incidental and 8.4% after symptomatic VTE for hazard ratio (HR) 1.10 (95% confidence interval [CI] 0.49-2.50). After adjustment for competing risk of death, recurrence rate was 3.1 versus 2.8%, respectively, for sub-HR 1.07 (95% CI 0.39-2.93). These results were consistent among cancer (mortality 15.9% vs. 12.6%; HR 1.32, 95% CI 0.67-2.59; recurrence 4.8% vs. 4.7%; HR 1.02, 95% beneficial regardless of the presence of cancer.
     Direct oral anticoagulants are recommended for the treatment of cancer-associated thrombosis (CAT) as an alternative to low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH), but an increased bleeding risk in patients with gastrointestinal cancer was reported. The Caravaggio study compared apixaban and dalteparin for the treatment of patients with CAT. Here we describe sites of bleeding, associated cancer sites, clinical presentation, and course of major bleeding in patients included in the Caravaggio study.

     The Caravaggio study was a multinational, randomized, open-label, noninferiority study. Bleeding events and the severity of major bleedings were adjudicated by a committee unaware of treatment allocation using predefined criteria; for the purpose of this analysis, data were analyzed in the safety population.

     Major bleeding occurred in 22 of 576 patients on apixaban (3.8%) and in 23 of 579 patients on dalteparin (4.0%). The sites of major bleeding and their distribution according to the type of cancer were similar between the two treatment groups. Major bleeding occurred in nine patients with gastrointestinal cancer in each treatment group. The clinical presentation of major bleeding was severe or fatal in 6 patients on apixaban and in 5 patients on dalteparin, while the clinical course was severe in 5 patients on apixaban and in 7 patients on dalteparin.

Here, we collected paired liver and blood samples concurrently from 27 individuals undergoing liver surgery. We performed targeted bisulfite sequencing for a set of 35 hemostatic genes primarily expressed in liver to analyze DNA methylation levels of >10,000 cytosine-phosphate-guanine (CpG) dinucleotides. We evaluated whether DNA methylation in blood could serve as a proxy for DNA methylation in liver at individual CpGs. Approximately 30% of CpGs were nonvariable and were predominantly hypo- (70%) in both tissues. While blood can serve as a proxy for liver at these CpGs, the low variability renders these unlikely to explain phenotypic differences. We therefore focused on CpG sites with variable methylation levels in liver. The level of blood-liver tissue correlation varied widely across these variable CpGs; moderate correlations (0.5 ≤ r  less then  0.75) were detected for 6% and strong correlations (r ≥ 0.75) for a further 4%. Our findings indicate that it is essential to study the concordance of DNA methylation between blood and liver at individual CpGs. This paired blood-liver dataset is intended as a resource to aid interpretation of blood-based DNA methylation results.

  • In the absence of clear interstitial invasion, encapsulated papillary carcinoma (EPC) of the breast may be attributed to an extremely good prognosis if handled similarly to ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) with suitable local treatment. Here, we report our experience with a case of EPC of the breast that presented with carcinomatous pleuritis and lymphangitis carcinomatosa postoperatively, which rapidly resulted in a poor outcome. A 67-year-old woman was diagnosed with DCIS of the left breast and underwent left partial mastectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy. EPC was diagnosed because the pathological examination showed no sign of interstitial infiltration. Postoperative radiation therapy was performed. Five years and 9 months postoperatively, the patient began experiencing cough and shortness of breath on exertion. Imaging showed right pleural effusion and consolidation of the lung field, but nothing suggesting local recurrence in the preserved left breast, local lymph nodes, or opposite breast was observed. Postoperative recurrence of breast cancer, carcinomatous pleuritis, and lymphangitis carcinomatosa were diagnosed based on the results of pleural fluid cytology. One month later, multiple brain metastases were found, and the patient died of the primary disease 5 months after recurrence. After surgery for EPC without clear interstitial infiltration, there was a small possibility of a poor outcome from distant metastasis. A 70-year-old man with no previous history of diabetes was treated with nivolumab monotherapy for gastric cancer in November 2018. After 8 courses of nivolumab, he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes associated with ICI; consequently, insulin therapy was initiated in March 2019. In April 2019, he was transported to hospital due to suffering from prolonged hypoglycemia, disturbed consciousness, and fever. A Japanese man in his sixties with a 31-year history of ulcerative colitis had a 1.1-cm-sized intramucosal well-differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma in the rectum resected by endoscopic submucosal dissection. At the follow-up colonoscopy, a biopsy near the endoscopic submucosal dissection scar revealed poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, and a total proctocolectomy was performed 6 months after the endoscopic submucosal dissection. The whole colorectal pathological exam showed 2 flat foci of intramucosal poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, 4 and 2 mm in size each, near the endoscopic submucosal dissection scar in the rectum, and an increased number of Paneth cells, thickened muscularis mucosa, and widening of the distance between the gland base and muscularis mucosa in the transverse colon to the rectum. Adenocarcinomas were not found in areas where architecturally severe changes of the mucosa or the highest number of Paneth cells proliferation were detected. A Japanese man in his sixties with a 31-year history of ulcerative colitis had a 1.1-cm-sized intramucosal well-differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma in the rectum resected by endoscopic submucosal dissection. At the follow-up colonoscopy, a biopsy near the endoscopic submucosal dissection scar revealed poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, and a total proctocolectomy was performed 6 months after the endoscopic submucosal dissection. The whole colorectal pathological exam showed 2 flat foci of intramucosal poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, 4 and 2 mm in size each, near the endoscopic submucosal dissection scar in the rectum, and an increased number of Paneth cells, thickened muscularis mucosa, and widening of the distance between the gland base and muscularis mucosa in the transverse colon to the rectum. Adenocarcinomas were not found in areas where architecturally severe changes of the mucosa or the highest number of Paneth cells proliferation were detected. These advances in telemedicine range from individual to population levels, allowing the exchange of patient information for diagnosis and management of health problems, primary care prevention, and education of physicians via distance learning.

    This scientometric investigation aims to examine collaborative research networks, dominant research themes and disciplines, and seminal research studies that have contributed most to the field of telemedicine. This information is vital for scientists, institutions, and policy stakeholders to evaluate research areas where more infrastructural or scholarly contributions are required.

    For analyses, we used CiteSpace (version 4.0 R5; Drexel University), which is a Java-based software that allows scientometric analysis, especially visualization of collaborative networks and research themes in a specific field.

    Reporting cumulative antimicrobial susceptibility testing data on a regular basis is crucial to inform antimicrobial resistance (AMR) action plans at local, national, and global levels. However, analyzing data and generating a report are time consuming and often require trained personnel.

    This study aimed to develop and test an application that can support a local hospital to analyze routinely collected electronic data independently and generate AMR surveillance reports rapidly.

    An offline application to generate standardized AMR surveillance reports from routinely available microbiology and hospital data files was written in the R programming language (R Project for Statistical Computing). The application can be run by double clicking on the application file without any further user input. The data analysis procedure and report content were developed based on the recommendations of the World Health Organization Global Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System (WHO GLASS). The application was tested AMASS is a useful tool to support the generation and sharing of AMR surveillance reports.

    In this two-arm, single-blinded RCT, a smartphone app that includes interactive features designed to enhance participants' motivation and personalized messaging is compared with a smartphone app that provides only government guidance on alcohol consumption. The trial will be conducted in a veteran population that has sought help through Combat Stress, a UK veteran's mental health charity.

  • The analyses reveal a relationship between the density and mobility of single atoms, particle sizes and their nature in the immediate neighbourhood. The results are combined with practical catalysts important in technological processes. The findings illustrate the complex nature of sintering and deactivation. They are used to generate new fundamental insights into nanoparticle sintering dynamics at the single-atom level, important in the development of efficient supported nanoparticle systems for improved chemical processes and novel single-atom catalysis. This article is part of a discussion meeting issue 'Dynamic in situ microscopy relating structure and function'.In situ electron microscopy can be an effective tool to investigate the underlying science of many transformation mechanisms in materials science. Useful utilization of these experimentations will provide greater insight into many of the existing theories, as microstructural changes can be visualized in real time under some applied constraints. In this study, we have investigated two basic phase transformation phenomena diffusionless and diffusional mechanisms with the help of in situ cooling and heating techniques in scanning electron microscope (SEM). In situ cooling experiments have been carried out on secondary hardening ultra-high-strength steels to understand the diffusionless transformation of austenite to martensite. Nucleation and growth of the martensites have been observed with cooling in different steps to -194°C. Details of the formation of different variants of martensites in steel were studied with the help of orientation imaging microscopy. Diffusional transformations were studied in terms of oxidation of pure copper in SEM using in situ heating technique. Different heating cycles were adopted for different samples by in situ heating to a maximum temperature of 950°C for the oxidation study. Nucleation of copper oxides and subsequent growth of the copper oxides at different temperatures were studied systematically. Raman spectroscopy and orientation imaging were done to confirm the formation of oxides and their orientations. The thermal cycling phenomenon was replicated inside SEM with heating and cooling and it has been demonstrated how the nature of copper and its oxides changes with the thermal cycle. The aim of this study is to use public community benefit reports for all children's hospitals in the United States to assess the extent to which children's hospitals partner with external organizations to address five key health needs health care access, chronic disease, social needs, mental health, and substance abuse. Strategies that involved partnering with community organizations were most common in addressing social needs and substance abuse. When adjusted for institutional and community characteristics hospitals in a multilevel regression model, hospitals had higher odds of partnering to address chronic illness and social needs. To encourage hospital engagement with complex social and behavioral health needs and promote health equity, support should be provided to help hospitals establish local population health networks.Erythrina crista-galli L. In October 2019, anthracnose-like lesions were observed on the leaves of E. crista-galli planted in Haikou, China. 5-30% of leaves were infected. At first, the circular spots of 1-2 mm in diameter were reddish-brown on the leaves, and then enlarged to circular, subcircular or irregular spots with reddish-brown center and surrounded by a diffuse yellow margin. Neighboring spots sometimes coalesced. Under continuously wet or humid conditions, the lesions expanded quickly, and became gray, subcircular or irregular spots covered by grayish-white mycelium and orange-pink conidial masses. Diseased leaves eventually fell off the trees. To identify the pathogen, diseased leaves were sampled from four gardens. Leaf tissues (5×5 mm) were cut from the margins of typical symptomatic lesions, surface-sterilized in 1% sodium hypochlorite for 1 min, plated on potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium, and incubated , subcircular spots similar to the field disease symptoms were observed on the all inoculated leaves after 7 days, whereas no visible symptoms appeared on the non-inoculated leaves. The pathogen was re-isolated from inoculated leaves thus fulfilling Koch's postulates. C. gloeosporioides has been previously reported as a pathogen causing leaf spot on Erythrina (E. indica var. picta, E. variegata var. orientalis) in Guam in 1983 and Brazil in 2012. Stem rot incidence (12-14%) was observed in widely cultivated rice varieties viz., Swarna, Sabour Surbhit, Samba Mahsuri and Bhagalpur katarani. Brownish to black water-soaked lesions without distinct margins were visually observed on rice leaf sheaths in Pusa, Bihar and Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh (India). To isolate the causal pathogen, pieces of symptomatic leaf sheaths were treated with 1% sodium hypochlorite solution for 1 min, rinsed with sterile distilled water for 2 min, and then transferred to potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium for incubation at 280C.
