The characteristics of natural light are mostly collected through specialized measuring equipment, such as a spectroradiometer, and some suggested measurement methods through a small RGB sensor. However, specialized measuring equipment presents difficulty in its high cost, and the RGB-sensor-based method has the limitation of being unable to measure the wavelength characteristics of natural light that are needed to implement lighting that supports circadian rhythms. This paper presents a method for calculating the short-wavelength-ratio-based color temperature of natural light in real time. First, an analysis of the correlation between the characteristics of natural light collected through a spectroradiometer was performed to determine the factors that were needed to accurately measure the color temperature of natural light. Then, the short-wavelength ratio of natural light was calculated through chromaticity coordinates (x and y), which are output values of the RGB sensor, and an equation for calculating the color temperature of natural light was derived through the short-wavelength ratio. Furthermore, after producing an RGB-sensor-based device, the derived equation was applied to calculate the color temperature of real-time natural light that reflects the wavelength characteristics. Then, as a result of the performance evaluation of the proposed method, the color temperature of natural light was accurately calculated within 1% of the average error rate.This study aimed to determine the injury prevention-, safety education-, and violence-related factors pertaining to tooth fracture experience (TFE) in Korean adolescents. The participants completed a self-administered questionnaire. The explanatory variables, including school safety education and violence, were assessed in relation to prevention of traumatic injuries. Complex-samples multivariable logistic regression models were applied to explain the factors related to TFE over the past 12 months. The overall prevalence of TFE was 11.4%. Risk factors related to tooth fractures were not wearing a seatbelt on an express bus, not wearing helmets while riding motorcycles and bicycles, clinical treatment due to injuries at school, injuries associated with earphone/smartphones use, and lack of school safety education such as danger evacuation training. The top risk factor was injuries associated with earphone/smartphone usage, followed by lack of familiarity with school safety education. Thus, to prevent tooth fractures among adolescents, schools should strengthen their safety education, including education regarding mobile device usage, and wearing a seatbelt and wearing a helmet. Care should be taken to manage facilities around the school and to prevent injury related to tooth fracture. Further studies on various risk factors related to tooth fractures are warranted.Botulinum neurotoxins (BoNTs) are highly potent, neuroparalytic protein toxins that block the release of acetylcholine from motor neurons and autonomic synapses. Currently, the only pharmacotherapy for botulism is prophylaxis with antitoxin, which becomes progressively less effective as symptoms develop. Chief among these are mechanisms by which BoNT is internalized into neurons and trafficked to sites of molecular toxicity. Elucidating how receptor-bound toxin is internalized and conditions under which the toxin light chain engages with target SNARE proteins is critical for understanding the dynamics of intoxication and identifying novel therapeutics. Optimization of chances for healthy offspring is thought to be one of the factors driving mate choice and compatibility of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is assumed to determine the offspring's fitness. While humans have been claimed to be able to perceive information of ****compatibility via the olfactory channel, it remains unknown whether humans use such information for mate choice. By investigation of 3691 married couples, we observed that the high polymorphism of ****leads to a low chance for homozygous offspring. ****similarity between couples did not differ from chance, we hence observed no ****effect in married couples. Hormonal contraception at the time of relationship initiation had no significant effect towards enhanced similarity. A low variety of alleles within a postcode area led to a higher likelihood of homozygous offspring. Detail on the mechanics of large-scale programs is often missing from empirical research studies, but is a crucial aspect of organizational learning and development. Moreover, by focusing on the complex ways in which capacity-building is being institutionalized through an embedded model of in-service mentorship, this article bridges research and practice. We point to a number of areas that require further research as well as considerations for program managers designing comparable workforce strengthening programs. With careful planning and cross-national policy learning, we propose that in-service nurse mentoring may offer a cost-effective and appropriate workforce development approach in a variety of settings.The use of biomaterials and biomaterial functionalization is a promising approach to support pancreatic islet viability posttransplantation in an effort to reduce insulin dependence for patients afflicted with diabetes mellitus type 1. Extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins are known to impact numerous reparative functions in the body. Assessing how endogenously expressed pancreatic ECM proteins are affected by posttransplant-like hypoxic conditions may provide significant insights toward the development of tissue-engineered therapeutic strategies to positively influence β-cell survival, proliferation, and functionality. Here, we investigated the expression of three relevant groups of pancreatic ECM proteins in human native tissue, including basement membrane (BM) proteins (collagen type 4 [COL4], laminins [LAM]), proteoglycans (decorin [DCN], nidogen-1 [NID1]), and fibril-forming proteins (fibronectin [FN], collagen type 1 [COL1]). In an in vitro hypoxia model, we identified that ECM proteins were differently aerials for the treatment of diabetes mellitus. A collagen-1 hydrogel is shown to attenuate the effect of hypoxia on β-cells and their ECM expression. The functionalization of the hydrogel with endothelial cells increases the β-cell response to glucose and rescues essential basement membrane proteins.Fabrication of multifunctional scaffolds with biomimicking physical and biological signals play an important role in enhancing tissue regeneration. In this study, we leverage naturally derived extracellular matrix (ECM) as chemically controllable hydrogel carrier to effectively load functional biomolecules. The use of ECM hydrogel takes advantage of both native functionality of ECM components and tunability of hydrogel in controlling release of loaded molecules. As a proof of concept, porous acellular bone scaffold was selected as the solid pristine scaffold to be composited with BMP-2 and VEGF, which are loaded by spinal cord-derived ECM (SC-ECM) hydrogel. Crosslinking degree of SC-ECM hydrogel is tuned by changing genipin concentration, which renders the control over release kinetics of BMP-2 and VEGF. The mechanical strength of scaffold maintained after hybridization and is not significantly decreased in wet condition. In vitro evaluations of scaffolds cocultured with osteoblasts and mesenchymal stem cells (****) demonstrate the biocompatible and bioactive features resulting from the composite scaffolds. Evidenced by alkaline phosphatase test, immunofluorescence, and real-time polymerase chain reaction, differentiation of **** towards osteoblast lineage is significantly enhanced by composite scaffolds. Mycotoxin analysis was performed with commercial ELISA kits. Infants were weighed, and z scores of weight-for-age (WAZ) were calculated with WHO standards. The first quartile of the mycotoxin levels was classified in subgroups as low-level, the last quartile as high-level, and between them as middle-level. The subgroups of AFM1, OTA, and DON had similar infants' WAZ. When cases without maternal smoke exposure were selected and WAZ at birth, infant age, and gender were adjusted, higher infant WAZ on admission was detected in high-ZEN subgroup (p = 0.033). Further cohort studies in exclusively-breastfed infants and absence of maternal smoke exposure could clarify the effect of ZEN on infant growth.

The aim of this retrospective cohort study was to determine if recovery expectancies were associated with actual postdischarge recovery after laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy.
Study subjects (N = 167) undergoing laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy were asked to preoperatively predict the likelihood of a prolonged postdischarge recovery (> 42days). Low, medium, and high recovery expectancy groups were created from responses to the likelihood of prolonged postdischarge recovery question. Previously established predictors of actual recovery 42days after laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy included age, body mass index, Charlson co-morbidity index, short form (SF)-36 bodily pain scores, doctors' and others' health locus of control, and sick role investment. One parsimonious hierarchical linear and logistic regression model was constructed to determine if preoperative recovery expectancies were independently associated with PSR13 scores and "significant" postdischarge recovery after controlling for previously established predicdifiable predictors, making them a candidate for an expectancy manipulation intervention designed to optimize recovery after pelvic reconstructive surgery.
Growing literature details the critical importance of the microbiome in the modulation of human health and disease including both the gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems. Rectovaginal fistulae (RVF) are notoriously difficult to manage, many requiring multiple attempts at repair before correction is achieved. RVF involves two distinct microbiome communities whose characteristics and potential interplay have not been previously characterized and may influence surgical success.
In this pilot study, rectal and vaginal samples were collected from 14 patients with RVF. Samples were collected preoperatively, immediately following surgery, 6-8weeks postoperatively and at the time of any fistula recurrence. Amplification of the 16S rDNA V3-V5 gene region was done to identify microbiota. Data were summarized using both α-diversity to describe species richness and evenness and β-diversity to characterize the shared variation between communities. Differential abundance analysis was performed to identify microbme has not been previously described. Expansion of this pilot project is needed to confirm findings. Taxa associated with successful repair could be targeted for subsequent therapeutic intervention.
To evaluate the available literature to assess the safety, efficacy, and outcomes of lasers in the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and overactive bladder (OAB).
Pubmed search was conducted up to May 2020, including observational and investigational human studies that documented the effects on laser treatment in SUI and OAB.
A total of 27 studies, recording subjective or objective measures in SUI or OAB were included. Lasers used included ErYAG and Fractional CO2 lasers. The overall quality of studies was poor, and 23/27 studies were case series (LOE4). https://www.selleckchem.com/products/Sodium-valproate.html ErYAG laser showed a modest reduction in mild SUI cases, with benefits lasting a maximum of 13-16months. ErYAG laser for OAB showed conflicting results, with a trend to improve OAB symptoms for up to 12months. Fractional CO2 laser showed an improvement of mild SUI in few studies; however, no long-term data are available. For OAB symptoms, studies showed minimal improvement that was evaluated in short term studies. When reported, adverse events were insignificant, however, they were not reported systematically. Several limitations have been noticed in the current literature of vaginal lasers, including large variation in laser settings and protocols, short term follow up, lack of urodynamic evaluation, and appropriate objective measures.
Based on the available literature, lasers cannot be recommended as a treatment option at this time. Future better-quality studies are needed to document the exact mechanism of action, longevity, safety and its eventual place into the current treatment algorithms of SUI and OAB.

We aimed to report the demographics and management of iatrogenic ureteral injuries (IUIs) with different surgical specialties. Moreover, our goal was to analyze the predictors of late ureteral strictures and secondary intervention after primary surgical management, and the final effect on the kidney.
A retrospective study, between 2006 and 2019, enrolled all patients undergoing urological, abdominal, and pelvic surgeries performed through open, laparoscopic, or endoscopic means. Three of the patients had a vague lower abdominal pain, and five had ipsilateral flank pain; all had vaginal leakage. Physical examination, ultrasonography, and IVP were done to confirm the diagnosis. Ureteroscopy was the first treatment attempt, using two or three guide wires to find the proximal part of the ureter and insert a JJ stent.
In six patients, we could insert guide wires, find the proximal part of the ureter, and finally insert a JJ stent. In two patients, we could not even pass a guide wire, so we changed the position, and ureteral reimplantation was done. The stents were removed after 6weeks, and after 3months an IVP was planned again that showed all fistulae had resolved with no evidence of ureteral stricture.
The aim of this retrospective cohort study was to determine if recovery expectancies were associated with actual postdischarge recovery after laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy. Study subjects (N = 167) undergoing laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy were asked to preoperatively predict the likelihood of a prolonged postdischarge recovery (> 42days). Low, medium, and high recovery expectancy groups were created from responses to the likelihood of prolonged postdischarge recovery question. Previously established predictors of actual recovery 42days after laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy included age, body mass index, Charlson co-morbidity index, short form (SF)-36 bodily pain scores, doctors' and others' health locus of control, and sick role investment. One parsimonious hierarchical linear and logistic regression model was constructed to determine if preoperative recovery expectancies were independently associated with PSR13 scores and "significant" postdischarge recovery after controlling for previously established predicdifiable predictors, making them a candidate for an expectancy manipulation intervention designed to optimize recovery after pelvic reconstructive surgery. Rectovaginal fistulae (RVF) are notoriously difficult to manage, many requiring multiple attempts at repair before correction is achieved. RVF involves two distinct microbiome communities whose characteristics and potential interplay have not been previously characterized and may influence surgical success. Additionally, a markedly enhanced anti-tumor efficacy for CUR/shRNA-NPs was achieved on SKOV-3 and Hela cells. Under the optimal conditions, the UCNP-LFIC assay enabled sensitive detection of tetracycline (TC) as well as of oxytetracycline (OTC), chlortetracycline (CTC), and doxycycline (DOX) within 10 min, with IC50 values of 0.32, 0.32, 0.26, 0.22 ng/mL, respectively. There was no cross-reactivity with ten other antibiotics. Similarly, we evaluated the experimental results for matrix effects. Experiments involving spiking showed the four tetracycline antibiotics displaying mean recoveries ranging from 93.95 to 111.90% with relative standard deviations (RSDs) of less then 9.95%. The detection results of actual samples using the developed method showed a good correlation (R2 ≥ 0.98) with the results using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Melanin nanoparticles have the natural ability to bind metal ions, which can be labeled with isotopes for nuclear medicine imaging. When the melanin nanoparticles were labeled by 68Ga, we observed that the pH-induced physical aggregation in tumor sites resulted in enhanced PET imaging. The pH-triggered assembly of natural melanin nanoparticles could be a practical strategy for efficient tumor targeted imaging.To regulate the optical and electrical properties of the crystals and films of the intrinsic methylammonium lead iodide (CH3NH3PbI3), we dope them with sodium (Na) by selecting sodium iodide (NaI) as a dopant source. The highly conductive p-type sodium-doped CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI3 Na) perovskite single crystals and thin films are successfully grown using the inverse temperature crystallization (ITC) method and antisolvent spin-coating (ASC) method, respectively. With the increase of Na+ doping concentration, the grain size of the film increases, the surface becomes smoother, and the crystallinity improves. Hall effect results demonstrate that both the MAPbI3 Na thin films and single crystals change their quasi-insulating intrinsic conductivity to a highly conductive p-type conductivity. The room-temperature photoluminescence (PL) peaks of doped MAPbI3 films slightly blue shift, while the photocarriers' lifetime becomes longer. The optical fingerprints of the doped levels in MAPbI3 Na perovskites can be identified by temperature-dependent PL. Obvious fingerprints of Na-related acceptor (A0X) levels in the doped MAPbI3 Na were observed at 10 K. The finding revealed an antiknock index of RAG (91.15%) and ARG (83.05%), atmospheric distillation of RAG (185°C) and ARG (184°C), Reid vapor pressure of RAG (0.53 kg/cm3) and ARG (0.36 kg/cm3), gravity of RAG (0.771) and ARG (0.683), sulfur content of RAG (0.014%/wt) and ARG (0.02%/wt), while Flash point for RAG were Pensky Martens -25°C, Abel-Pensky -33°C and ARG Pensky Martens -27°C, Abel-Pensky -35.36°C, respectively. The research octane number, motor octane number, Reid vapor pressure, sulfur content, and specific gravity of RAG were (ASTM) compliant while only the final boiling point and sulfur content of ARG were within ASTM range.

Adenosine is an endogenous nucleoside that plays a major role in the pathophysiology of airway diseases, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It is also an effective drug at terminating supraventricular tachycardia and used for pharmacological stress testing with a relatively safe side effect profile. There is a contraindication for the use of adenosine in patients with asthma and a caution to use in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. We present a case of a 63-year old female patient who was treated with adenosine and subsequently went into respiratory distress. She was placed on bilevel positive airway pressure and had rapid resolution of symptoms.Clostridium sordellii infections are known to be associated with high morbidity and mortality. To date, only a small number of cases with necrotizing soft tissue infection due to C. Sordellii have been reported. We report a case presented with necrotizing soft tissue infection of the right upper extremity caused by C. sordellii in a patient with known use of injected heroin. Despite broad spectrum antibiotics and surgical debridement, the patient's clinical course became rapidly fatal, within 24 h of admission. C. sordellii necrotizing soft tissue infections are particularly virulent. Therefore, new approach permitting glioma targeting ability that can allow an efficient therapeutic delivery into the glioma regions is urgently required. Ligand-mediated liposomes have shown great potential for improving the efficiency of glioma treatment. In our study, the multi-targeting liposomes based on glucose and biotin were constructed for the first time. We synthesized two ligands (Glu3-Chol, Bio2-Chol), prepared three types of modified liposomes (Glu3-Lip, Bio2-Lip and Bio2 + Glu3-Lip) and evaluated the glioma-targeting ability of these liposomes which were using paclitaxel (PTX) as the model drug in vitro. Besides, the uptake mechanism of Bio2 + Glu3-Lip was investigated. PTX-loaded Bio2 + Glu3-Lip (PTX-Bio2 + Glu3-Lip) exhibited satisfactory targeting effect in Bend.3 and C6 cells in vitro, in which the cellular uptake of Bio2 + Glu3-Lip were 4.04- and 3.49-fold more than that of the uncoated liposomes (Lip). The results suggested the multi-targeting liposomes (Bio2 + Glu3-Lip) is a promising formulation for glioma, which was almost consistent with the results of in vivo imaging. Bypass grafting is the standard of care for chronic aorto-iliac occlusive disease (AIOD, aka Leriche Syndrome) but is associated with mortality rates of up to 25% if surgical re-intervention is necessary. Despite a recent shift towards an endovascular-first strategy for TransAtlantic InterSociety Consensus II ("TASC II") C and D lesions, reports from Leriche Syndrome are still limited.
15 high-risk patients (11 male, 4 female), mean age of 60.6 years, with chronic aorto-iliac occlusive disease were retrospectively reviewed. Retrograde approaches via the bilateral femoral arteries for aortic occlusion less than 4cm in length and/or antegrade fashion from the brachial artery for juxtarenal type lesions were made. For the latter, thrombolysis prior to angioplasty was also performed. Intraluminal or if necessary, subintimal angioplasty was performed with deployment of either bare metal stents or stentgrafts in a kissing-stent fashion.
A total of 28 iliac arteries and 14 occluded abdominal aorta were treated with 100% technical success, of which 25% success were achieved by using subintimal technique. Two minor complications occurred, including vascular rupture and distal emboli in one patient apiece, which were successfully managed via endovascular fashion. There were no complications of renal artery emboli. Primary and secondary patency rates at 1, 3 and 5 years were 92.3% and 100%; 83.9% and 100%; and 83.9% and 100%, respectively.
Endovascular therapy for chronic aorto-iliac occlusion has a high technical success rate, with good short- and mid-term primary and secondary patency rates and may provide a valid alternative to surgery for high-risk patients.

Intraluminal or if necessary, subintimal angioplasty was performed with deployment of either bare metal stents or stentgrafts in a kissing-stent fashion. A total of 28 iliac arteries and 14 occluded abdominal aorta were treated with 100% technical success, of which 25% success were achieved by using subintimal technique. Two minor complications occurred, including vascular rupture and distal emboli in one patient apiece, which were successfully managed via endovascular fashion. Materials and methods A virtual escape room, "Escape the Toxin Online!" was created to test knowledge of toxicologic ingestion and antidote utilizing Google Forms and delivered using Zoom teleconference software to two EM residency programs in the Philadelphia region. After small groups completed the gamified activity, their scores were calculated and they completed an anonymous evaluation. Results Residents at the program where a Medical Toxicology fellowship is located found the virtual escape room to be more effective and enjoyable compared to the second program. Despite some differences in perceived effectiveness, the majority of participants were able to correctly solve the puzzle and get to the antidote. After consultation with urology, they revealed that the patient did not understand how to properly use his implanted device. Urology experts have recommended minimal urethral instrumentation in patients with artificial urinary sphincters due to the risk of complications. Although we present a rare cause of urinary retention, emergency physicians should avoid catheterization in these patients. Bedside renal ultrasound is useful for the diagnosis of hydronephrosis and hydroureter and confirmation of pump and balloon placement. We recommend a prompt urology consultation. This case is an important example of appropriate postoperative education and close-ended communication. Operative time was significantly more in the SILACIG group as compared to CMLA. Pain on the second postoperative day was less than CMLA, and the size of the operative scar was significantly smaller than 2 cm in the SILACIG group as compared to the CMLA group.

A 50-year-old man underwent transcatheter closure of PFO with mild interatrial septal bulging and tunnel-like morphology with a NobleStitch device. A transthoracic echocardiography performed immediately after PFO closure showed residual shunt (RS), which persisted unchanged at staged controls, due to the inability of the delivery system to capture both the septum primum and the septum secundum. A second procedure was performed with the implantation of a Figulla Flex II 27/30 mm device, with no RS detectable at control echocardiography.

A 50-year-old man underwent transcatheter closure of PFO with mild interatrial septal bulging and tunnel-like morphology with a NobleStitch device. A transthoracic echocardiography performed immediately after PFO closure showed residual shunt (RS), which persisted unchanged at staged controls, due to the inability of the delivery system to capture both the septum primum and the septum secundum. A second procedure was performed with the implantation of a Figulla Flex II 27/30 mm device, with no RS detectable at control echocardiography. The NobleStitch device is interesting in its concept, but several pitfalls may be encountered during its deployment. Opposite to permanent metallic devices, RSs after the procedure are not expected to decrease over time and should be managed with a different approach. Serum neuron-specific enolase was a useful biomarker both for chemo- and immunotherapy response.Patients with advanced-stage mycosis fungoides (MF) and Sézary syndrome (SS) have a poor prognosis. Allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is a potentially curative treatment option; however, since most patients with MF/SS are elderly, they often have difficulty in finding HLA-matched donors. In recent years, HCT from HLA-haploidentical donors (haplo-HCT) using posttransplant cyclophosphamide (PTCy) as graft-versus-host disease prophylaxis has been conducted for patients without HLA-matched donors. Infectious complications, particularly cutaneous bacterial infections, are common among patients with MF/SS. The lower incidence of severe infectious complications after haplo-HCT than after an unrelated cord blood transplantation could lead to lower transplant-related mortality. Here, we report on a patient with SS who was treated successfully with haplo-HCT with PTCy. The patient has remained in complete remission for more than 24 months.Lactic acidosis is pathophysiologically classified into type A and type B. The latter is a rare but potentially life-threatening emergency, mainly described in hematological malignancies. The association between Type B lactic acidosis and malignancy is known as the Warburg effect. Patients with the Warburg effect have a very poor prognosis. Herein, we report a case of gastric diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) with severe lactic acidosis and hypoglycemia owing to the Warburg effect that were effectively treated by prompt introduction of chemotherapy. A 73-year-old woman with a 2-month history of abdominal distension was referred to us for suspected peritoneal cancer. Pathological examination revealed gastric DLBCL with peritoneal dissemination. After hospitalization, blood test results revealed prolonged hypoglycemia, with a blood sugar level of 50-70 mg/dL; severe lactic acidosis with pH 7.166; lactate level 12.7 mmol/L; and base excess -21.0 mEq/L, despite continuous administration of glucose and sodium bicarbonate. The cause of lactic acidosis and/or hypoglycemia was considered to be the Warburg effect. We initiated a 50% reduced-dose CHOP (cyclophosphamide, vincristine, doxorubicin, prednisolone) chemotherapy regimen without rituximab until information on the CD20-positive status was available. During chemotherapy, acidosis, hypoglycemia, and impaired consciousness promptly improved. If lactic acidosis or hypoglycemia is present in patients with malignant tumors, it is important to suspect the possibility of the Warburg effect and to introduce cancer treatment as soon as possible.Orbital metastases are rare. The cutaneous adverse events gradually recovered after addition of dabrafenib to trametinib. The patient eventually achieved a durable complete response, has excellent tolerance of his treatment and remains fully active.

Other factors negatively affecting the sustainability of the livestock sector have been the shortage of workers due to the lockdown/curfew, the strong decrease in the purchasing power of the consumer, and the intensification of health care tasks. Such an impact is not only highly relevant because of their economic consequences, but also because of the effects of the lockdown and sanitary rules on animal care and welfare. The current review aims to offer (a) a comprehensive overview of the impact of COVID-19 on the welfare of farm animals and on the performance of livestock farming systems, on food chain sustainability, and finally, on the global economy and food security; and (b) a prospective outline of alleviation actions.The viruses of the family Coronaviridae are ubiquitous in nature due to their existence in a wide spectrum of mammals and avian species. The coronaviruses, as RNA viruses, exist as quasispecies because of their high rate of mutations. This review elaborates on the pathogenesis and the developed vaccines of most of the ubiquitous coronavirus' diseases, mainly bovine, dromedary camel, porcine, feline, canine, and avian coronaviruses. The review emphasizes the significant setbacks in the full exploitation of most of the pathogenesis of the coronavirus' diseases, raising the prospect of effective vaccines for these diseases. The therapeutical trials for the treatment of SARS-CoV2 and the setbacks of these trials are also addressed. The review draws attention to the lessons accumulated from the large number of studies of the pathogenesis of animals and birds' coronaviruses and their vaccines, particularly the bovine, feline, and avian coronaviruses. The lessons drawn from the studies will have an immense influence on how the human coronaviruses pathogenesis and vaccine development will proceed. The results in the current study will contribute to our understanding of chicken astrovirus in China.[This corrects the article DOI 10.3389/fvets.2020.00155.].The objective of this study was to ascertain the cellular and functional parameters as well as ROS related changes in sperm from bulls with varied sperm freezability phenotypes. Using principal component analysis (PCA), the variables were reduced to two principal components, of which PC1 explained 48% of the variance, and PC2 explained 24% of the variance, and clustered animals into two distinct groups of good freezability (GF) and poor freezability (PF). In ROS associated pathophysiology, there were more dead superoxide anion positive (Dead SO+) sperm in GF bulls than those in PF (15.72 and 12.00%; P = 0.024), and that Dead SO+ and live hydrogen positive cells (live H2O2+) were positively correlated with freezability, respectively (R2 = 0.55, P less then 0.0130) and (rs = 0.63, P = 0.0498).
