Cognitive impairment due to multiple sclerosis (MS) is common and often limits occupational functioning, contributes to disability, and reduces quality of life. Early detection of cognitive involvement in MS is critical for treatment planning and intervention, and frequent, regular cognitive monitoring may provide insight into subtle changes in disease progression.
To compare the sensitivity and specificity of clinical, computer-based and experimental measures to early cognitive involvement in MS.
Cognitive functioning was compared in MS participants early in the disease course to matched healthy controls using conventional, computer-based and functional assessments the Brief International Cognitive Assessment in MS (BICAMS); the computer-based Cogstate Brief Battery (CBB); the Attention Network Test-Interaction (ANT-I), including intra-individual variability; and the Test of Everyday Cognitive Ability (TECA), a functional measure of instrumental activities of daily living.
MS participants (n=25, mean disease duration= 5.82±3.65years) and demographically matched healthy controls (n=29) completed the cognitive assessments. The Cogstate measure of choice reaction time (AUC=0.73, p=.004), intra-individual variability on the ANT-I (AUC=0.79, p=.001), and TECA (AUC=0.78, p=.001) scores were the most sensitive and specific markers of cognitive involvement in MS.

However, abnormalities in white matter (WM) functional networks and their associations with widespread network dysfunction are still being identified in mTLE. Accordingly, we investigated the altered functional activities in WM networks in mTLE using fMRI, which has recently been used to probe WM function. We collected resting-state fMRI data from 39 unilateral mTLE patients with hippocampal sclerosis and 29 healthy controls. Eleven WM networks were clustered according to temporal correlation profile. The functional connectivity (FC) of the WM networks were evaluated and compared between the two groups. Furthermore, we assessed the capacity of WM FC for seizure lateralization. According to our analysis, mTLE led to decreased FC within deep WM networks. In addition, the cortical regions involved in seizure propagation and several brain regions displaying interhemispheric disruption showed enhanced functional coupling with deep WM networks. FCs between the ipsilateral deep WM networks and the insula, temporal lobe, and supramarginal gyrus demonstrated positive correlation with seizure frequency. Moreover, the seizure onset zones of 33 patients out of 39 patients could be correctly lateralized. Our findings reveal functional disruptions in WM networks extending to extratemporal regions, supporting the network disorder hypothesis and suggesting that deep WM networks are key network nodes associated with massive dysfunction in mTLE. Herein, we explored how temperature impacts the development of Dermestes tessellatocollis Motschulsky, 1860 (Coleoptera Dermestidae). At seven constant temperatures (16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, and 34 °C), the developmental time from egg to adult was 163.87 ± 9.19, 103.56 ± 3.02, 63.59 ± 2.88, 51.49 ± 2.74, 47.86 ± 3.01, 44.62 ± 4.65, and 41.80 ± 4.87 days respectively. Four morphological indexes, including head capsule width, pronotum width, mesonotum width, and body length, were taken in vivo at regular intervals to identify methods for larval instar determination in D. tessellatocollis. The acquired morphological data were used to simulate fitted curves and equations depicting the relationship between the four morphological indexes and instars. From the validation experiment, we could hardly determine a specific instar based on the morphological indexes. The combination of morphometric data (head capsule, pronotum, and mesonotum width) generated the classification accuracy at 100%, 87.5%, 85%, and 93% for the 1st, 2nd/3rd, 4th/5th, and 6th/7th instars, respectively. Nevertheless, the accuracy was unsatisfactory for application in forensic casework. This study provides fundamental development data for adopting D. tessellatocollis in minimum postmortem interval (PMImin) estimations; however, further studies are needed to improve the classification accuracy for the larval instar determination.

Clinical trial registered with ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT02036879).This study explores the community-based strategies that a group of trans women living in Lima, Peru, employed to resist the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their wellbeing. Data was collected through participant observation and focus group discussions during the implementation of a social aid campaign targeted to this population and analyzed through reflexive theoretical thematic analysis. Resistance strategies were understood as forms of social capital grounded in relations of support and connectedness. Results underscored the importance of social cohesion to ameliorate increasing levels of precarity, community leaders as key for linking trans women across different networks, and unified efforts of social groups who share values to influence institutional power. The analysis also captured barriers and challenges that could hinder the development and articulation of social capital. Fostering trust relations and community-organization should be fundamental components for advocacy programs that seek to support the trans women community.Since the 1990s, thousands of Latin Americans have died or disappeared along the US-Mexico border, following the funneling of migration through remote desert regions. Morphologic parameters include, for example, circularity, aspect ratio, and solidity, while chemical parameters could include elementary ratios (e.g., N/C ratio), isotopic enrichments (e.g., δ13C), or chirality (e.g., molar proportion of stereoisomers), among others. Statistic trends distinguishing the different systems are then searched for empirically. The trends found are translated into "decision spaces" where the different systems are quantitatively discriminated and where the potential microfossil population can be located as a single point. This approach, which is formulated here on a theoretical level, will solve several problems associated with the classical qualitative criteria of biogenicity. Most importantly, it could be applied to reveal the existence of cellular life on other planets, for which characteristics of morphology and chemical composition are difficult to predict.

We sought factors associated with false-negative results in the diagnosis of invasive breast cancer via non-contrast breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using fused high b-value diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and unenhanced T1-weighted images (T1WI).
Between 2018 and 2019, 316 consecutive women (mean age, 54.6 years) with invasive breast cancer who underwent preoperative breast MRI, including fused high b-value DWI and unenhanced T1WI, were retrospectively evaluated. Malignancy confidence ratings of the most suspicious breast lesions evident on fused DWI were derived by two radiologists using a 6-point Likert-type scale. Both clinicopathological and imaging features were analyzed. Multivariate regression analysis was performed to identify factors associated with false-negative DWI results in the diagnosis of invasive breast cancer.
Of the 316 breast cancers, fused DWI yielded 289 (91.5%) true-positive and 27 (8.5%) false-negative results. To investigate inter-scan and inter-scanner variation of iodine concentration (IC) and attenuation in virtual monoenergetic images at 65 keV (HU
) in patients with repeated abdominal examinations on dual-source (dsDECT), rapid kV switching (rsDECT), and dual-layer detector DECT (dlDECT).
We retrospectively included 131 patients who underwent two abdominal DECT examinations on the same scanner (dsDECT n = 46, rsDECT n = 45, dlDECT n = 40). IC and HU
were measured by placing regions of interest in the liver, spleen, kidneys, aorta, portal vein, and inferior vena cava. Overall IC and HU
for each scanner, their inter-scan differences and proportional variation were calculated and compared between scanner types.
The three scanner-specific cohorts showed similar weight, body diameter, age, sex, and contrast media injection parameters as well as inter-scan differences hereof (p range 0.23-0.99). Absolute inter-scan differences of HU
and IC were comparable between scanners (p range 0.08-1.0). The aim of this study is to report the long-term outcomes of a homogenous series of patients who underwent subtalar arthroereisis (STA) for the treatment of symptomatic flexible flatfoot (FFF).
Thirty-four pediatric patients who underwent STA with a bioabsorbable implant were enrolled and radiographic measurements, clinical outcomes, and patients' satisfaction were evaluated.
At a mean 180 months follow-up, radiographic measurements showed significant improvement. A physiological footprint and a proper hindfoot alignment were shown in more than 70% of patients. Mean AOFAS score was 90.4 ± 9.2 (72-100), mean SF-12 was 44.7 with 30 out of 34 patients (88.2%) satisfied with the procedure.

We sought factors associated with false-negative results in the diagnosis of invasive breast cancer via non-contrast breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using fused high b-value diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and unenhanced T1-weighted images (T1WI). Between 2018 and 2019, 316 consecutive women (mean age, 54.6 years) with invasive breast cancer who underwent preoperative breast MRI, including fused high b-value DWI and unenhanced T1WI, were retrospectively evaluated. Malignancy confidence ratings of the most suspicious breast lesions evident on fused DWI were derived by two radiologists using a 6-point Likert-type scale. Both clinicopathological and imaging features were analyzed. Multivariate regression analysis was performed to identify factors associated with false-negative DWI results in the diagnosis of invasive breast cancer. Of the 316 breast cancers, fused DWI yielded 289 (91.5%) true-positive and 27 (8.5%) false-negative results. We retrospectively included 131 patients who underwent two abdominal DECT examinations on the same scanner (dsDECT n = 46, rsDECT n = 45, dlDECT n = 40). IC and HU were measured by placing regions of interest in the liver, spleen, kidneys, aorta, portal vein, and inferior vena cava. Overall IC and HU for each scanner, their inter-scan differences and proportional variation were calculated and compared between scanner types. This study contributes to our understanding of blood fluke infections in Southern Bluefin Tuna and their interactions with ****.This study evaluated the presence of bioactives in wild nettle leaves and stalks during the phenological stage and in the context of natural habitat diversity. Thus, wild nettle samples collected before flowering, during flowering and after flowering from 14 habitats situated in three different regions (continental, mountain and seaside) were analyzed for low molecular weight polyphenols, carotenoids and chlorophylls using UPLC-MS/MS and HPLC analysis, while the ORAC method was performed for the antioxidant capacity measurement. Statistical analysis showed that, when compared to the stalks, nettle leaves contained significantly higher amounts of analyzed compounds which accumulated in the highest yields before flowering (polyphenols) and at the flowering stage (pigments). Moreover, nettle habitat variations greatly influenced the amounts of analyzed bioactives, where samples from the continental area contained higher levels of polyphenols, while seaside region samples were more abundant with pigments. The levels of ORAC followed the same pattern, being higher in leaves samples collected before and during flowering from the continental habitats. During reverse transcription, polypurine tracts (PPTs) resilient to RNase H cleavage are used as primers for plus-strand DNA synthesis. Nonnucleoside RT inhibitors (NNRTIs) can interfere with the initiation of plus-strand DNA synthesis by enhancing PPT removal, while HIV RT connection subdomain mutations N348I and N348I/T369I mitigate this effect by altering RNase H cleavage specificity. Now, we demonstrate that among approved nonnucleoside RT inhibitors (NNRTIs), nevirapine and doravirine show the largest effects. The combination N348I/T369I in HIV-1BH10 RT has a dominant effect on the RNase H cleavage specificity at the PPT/U3 site. Biochemical studies showed that wild-type HIV-1 and HIV-2 RTs were able to process efficiently and accurately all tested HIV PPT sequences. However, the cleavage accuracy at the PPT/U3 junction shown by the HIV-2EHO RT was further improved after substituting the sequence YQEPFKNLKT of HIV-1BH10 RT (positions 342-351) for the equivalent residues of the HIV-2 enzyme (HQGDKILKV). The COVID-19 pandemic is affecting people with dementia in numerous ways. Nevertheless, there is a paucity of research on the COVID-19 impact on people with dementia and their care partners.
Using Twitter, the purpose of this study is to understand the experiences of COVID-19 for people with dementia and their care partners.
We collected tweets on COVID-19 and dementia using the GetOldTweets application in Python from February 15 to September 7, 2020. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the tweets.
From the 5063 tweets analyzed with line-by-line coding, we identified 4 main themes including (1) separation and loss; (2) COVID-19 confusion, despair, and abandonment; (3) stress and exhaustion exacerbation; and (4) unpaid sacrifices by formal care providers.
There is an imminent need for governments to rethink using a one-size-fits-all response to COVID-19 policy and use a collaborative approach to support people with dementia. Collaboration and more evidence-informed research are essential to reducing COVID-19 mortality and improving the quality of life for people with dementia and their care partners.

Urinary incontinence (UI) is a serious condition for which often times insufficient non-surgical treatment options are provided or sought. Mobile health (mHealth) applications (apps) offer potential to assist with the self-management of UI.
To perform a systematic review of available mHealth apps for UI in Brazil.
A search for UI mHealth apps from the Google Play Store and AppStore in Brazil was performed by two independent reviewers on June 4 2020, and the quality of eligible mHealth apps was assessed using the Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS).
Of the 1111 mHealth apps found, 12 were eligible for inclusion. Four offered exclusively exercise programs, six offered exercise and educational content, and two offered tools to track patient-reported symptoms. The included apps scored poorly on the MARS quality scale, with a mean ± standard deviation score of 2.7 ± 0.6 on a 0-5 scale. Most apps scored poorly based on credibility, user interface and experience, and engagement.
Although there is growing interest in the development of mHealth technologies to support patients with UI, currently available tools in Brazil are of poor quality and limited functionality. Effective collaboration between industry and research is needed to develop new user-centered mHealth apps that can empower patients with UI.

The use of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) shows promising results in the treatment of paraphilic disorders. Although the side effects of ADT can be intrusive, there is no research into the experiences of patients with pedophilic disorder themselves.
This research aims to explore the psychological, physical, and sexual experiences of ADT from the perspective of sex offenders diagnosed with pedophilic disorder.
Twelve semistructured in-depth interviews with male adults diagnosed with pedophilic disorder were conducted using a phenomenological approach. Six of the 12 respondents were on luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonists and the remaining on anti-androgens. Half of each group were inpatients, and the other half outpatients. The respondents were recruited in collaboration with one psychiatric hospital. The data were analyzed with help of a qualitative software application NVivo.

There is an imminent need for governments to rethink using a one-size-fits-all response to COVID-19 policy and use a collaborative approach to support people with dementia. Collaboration and more evidence-informed research are essential to reducing COVID-19 mortality and improving the quality of life for people with dementia and their care partners.Remote approaches for dementia research are required in the era of COVID-19, but moving a research program from in person to remote involves additional considerations. Mobile health (mHealth) applications (apps) offer potential to assist with the self-management of UI. To perform a systematic review of available mHealth apps for UI in Brazil. A search for UI mHealth apps from the Google Play Store and AppStore in Brazil was performed by two independent reviewers on June 4 2020, and the quality of eligible mHealth apps was assessed using the Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS). Of the 1111 mHealth apps found, 12 were eligible for inclusion. Four offered exclusively exercise programs, six offered exercise and educational content, and two offered tools to track patient-reported symptoms. The included apps scored poorly on the MARS quality scale, with a mean ± standard deviation score of 2.7 ± 0.6 on a 0-5 scale. Most apps scored poorly based on credibility, user interface and experience, and engagement. Although there is growing interest in the development of mHealth technologies to support patients with UI, currently available tools in Brazil are of poor quality and limited functionality. The use of androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) shows promising results in the treatment of paraphilic disorders. Although the side effects of ADT can be intrusive, there is no research into the experiences of patients with pedophilic disorder themselves. This research aims to explore the psychological, physical, and sexual experiences of ADT from the perspective of sex offenders diagnosed with pedophilic disorder. Twelve semistructured in-depth interviews with male adults diagnosed with pedophilic disorder were conducted using a phenomenological approach. Six of the 12 respondents were on luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonists and the remaining on anti-androgens. Half of each group were inpatients, and the other half outpatients. The respondents were recruited in collaboration with one psychiatric hospital. The data were analyzed with help of a qualitative software application NVivo. The respondents described experiences on the use of ADT on a physical, psychological, and sexual level. The effect of advance care planning (ACP) interventions on the trajectory of end-of-life treatment preference congruence between patients and surrogate decision-makers is unstudied.
To identify unobserved distinctive patterns of congruence trajectories and examine how the typology of outcome development differed between ACP and controls.
Multisite, assessor-blinded, intent-to-treat, randomized clinical trial enrolled participants between October 2013 to March 2017 from 5 hospital-based HIV clinics. Persons living with HIV(PLWH)/surrogate dyads were randomized to 2 weekly 60-minute sessions ACP (1) ACP facilitated conversation, (2) advance directive completion; or Control (1) Developmental/relationship history, (2) Nutrition/Exercise. Growth Mixed Modeling was used for 18-month post-intervention analysis.
223 dyads (N = 449 participants) were enrolled. PLWH were 56% male, aged 22 to 77 years, and 86% African American. Surrogates were 56% female, aged 18 to 82 years, and 84% African American. Two latent classes (High vs. Low) of congruence growth trajectory were identified.ACP influenced the trajectory of outcome growth (congruence in all 5 AIDS related situations) by latent class. ACP dyads had a significantly higher probability of being in the High Congruence latent class compared to controls (52%, 75/144 dyads versus 27%, 17/62 dyads, p = 0.001). The probabilities of perfect congruence diminished at 3-months post-intervention but was then sustained. ACP had a significant effect (β = 1.92, p = 0.006, OR = 7.10, 95%C.I. 1.729, 26.897) on the odds of being in the High Congruence class.

To better understand the highly mechanical pathophysiology of pulmonary embolism, we set out to develop an in-vitro thrombus mimic and to test this mimic under large deformation simple shear. In addition to reporting on the mechanics of our mimics under simple shear, we explore the sensitivity of their mechanics to coagulation conditions and blood storage time, and compare three hyperelastic material models for their ability to fit our data. We found that thrombus mimics made from whole blood demonstrate strain-stiffening, a negative Poynting effect, and hysteresis when tested quasi-statically to 50% strain under simple shear. Additionally, we found that the stiffness of these mimics does not significantly vary with coagulation conditions or blood storage times. Of the three hyperelastic constitutive models that we tested, the Ogden model provided the best fits to both shear stress and normal stress. In conclusion, we developed a robust protocol to generate regularly-shaped, homogeneous thrombus mimics that lend themselves to simple shear testing under large deformation. Future studies will extend our model to include the effect of maturation and explore its fracture properties toward a better understanding of embolization.Indoor biomass burning produces large amounts of small particles and hazardous contaminants leading to severe air pollution and potentially high health risks associated with inhalation exposure. The study found that daily PM2.5 inhalation exposure level was as high as 121 ± 96 μg/m3, and over 84% was finer PM1.0. For PAHs, the exposure level was 113 ± 188 ng/m3, with over 77% in PM1.0. High molecular weight PAHs with larger toxic potentials enriched in smaller particles resulting in **** high risks associated with PAHs inhalation exposure. Indoor exposure contributed to ~80% of the total inhalation exposure as a result of high indoor air pollution and longer residence spent indoor. The highest exposure risk was found for the male smoker who conducted cooking activities at home.Citric acid (CA) can regulate the balance of anions and cations in plants, and improve their resistance to heavy metals. Content of Cd in grains and other organs increased with the increase of Cd content (0.1-2.4 mg kg-1) in soil, while decreased with the foliar application with CA. We established a male Sprague-Dawley rat model of PM2.5 (1.5 mg/kg) exposure-induced reproductive injury, and observed the intervention effects of STF083010 (an IRE1 inhibitor, 1 mg/kg). After 4 weeks of exposure, reproductive injury-related indicators and IRE1-cascade protein expression were analyzed. Our results showed that sperm quality and serum testosterone level significantly decreased and apoptotic index increased after exposure to PM2.5. After STF083010 intervention, sperm quality and serum testosterone level were significantly improved, while the apoptotic index was reduced. Under light microscopy, we observed that the structure of spermatogenic cells in the PM2.5 group was loose, and that the numbers of spermatogenic cells and mature spermatozoa were reduced. After STF083010 intervention, the structural damage to spermatogenic cells was improved, and the number of cells shed was reduced. Western blotting analysis showed that the expression of IRE1, phosphorylated JNK (p-JNK), beclin-1, and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3(LC3)II/LC3I proteins was significantly upregulated, and that the expression of p62 protein was significantly downregulated in the PM2.5 group. The concomitant administration of STF083010 significantly antagonized the aforementioned adverse effects. STF083010 exerted specific protective effects on reproductive injury-related effects in male rats exposed to PM2.5, with effects mediated via IRE1/JNK/autophagy signaling.

A decrease was noted in crude and age-adjusted mortality rates between 1992 and 2010. Several provinces, cities, and FSAs had higher incidence/mortality rates than the national average. Several of the FSA postal codes with the highest incidence/mortality rates were adjacent to one another. Several Canadian regions of high incidence for prostate cancer have been identified through this study and temporal trends are consistent with those reported in the literature. These results will serve as a foundation for future studies that will seek to identify new regional risk factors and etiologic agents.
Trans-arterial radioembolization (TARE) has shown promising results in treating hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We identified independent predictors of radiological complete response (CR) in patients with intrahepatic HCC who were treated with TARE.
Patients with intrahepatic HCC treated with TARE between 2011 and 2017 were recruited. CR was defined according to the modified Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors. Cox regression analysis was used to determine independent predictors of CR.
The median age of study participants (83 men and 19 women) was 64.3 years. The mean survival after TARE was 55.5 months, and 21 (20.6%) patients died during the study period. Patients who achieved CR (14 patients, 13.7%) had significantly higher serum albumin level (median 4.1 vs. 3.9 g/dL), lower total bilirubin level (median 0.6 vs. 0.7 mg/dL), lower aspartate aminotransferase level (median 30.0 vs. 43.0 IU/L), lower alkaline phosphatase level (median 79.0 vs. 103.0 IU/L), lower alpha-fetoprotein level (median 12.7 vs. 39.9 ng/mL), lower des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin level (median 575.5 vs. 2772.0 mAU/mL), lower model for end-stage liver disease (MELD) score (median 6.0 vs. 7.0), and smaller maximal tumor diameter (median 6.3 vs. 9.0 cm) compared to those who did not achieve CR (all

The domains "stakeholder involvement" and "values and preferences" were identified as methodological weaknesses requiring particular attention and improvement in future guideline efforts.
COVID-19 has invariably changed the way lung cancer surgical care is provided in Canada. Despite relevant management guidelines, the way in which cancer care has been affected has yet to be described for thoracic surgical populations. Routine lung cancer physiologic and staging assessments are unique in that they are droplet producing and aerosolizing procedures. Our objective was to quantify the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on surgical lung cancer care as perceived by practicing thoracic surgeons during the first wave of the pandemic in Canada.
An electronic survey was distributed to members of the Canadian Association of Thoracic Surgeons. The survey was designed to determine surgeon perception of lung cancer preoperative care during the Canadian pandemic-instilled period of resource reallocation compared to standard care. Planned analyses were exploratory in nature; with count and frequency distributions of responses quantified.
Fifty-three thoracic surgeons completed the survey. Surgery-related complications occurred in 46 (8.9%) cases which included confusion in 31 (5.98%), intracerebral hemorrhage in 7 (1.3%), vasovagal attack in 3 (0.58%), respiratory distress in 2 (0.38%), postoperative aggressiveness in 1 (0.19%), and blepharospasm in 2 (0.38%) patients. Complications related to the DBS hardware were found in 35 cases, including erosion and infection in 22 (2.95%resents the most frequent hardware complication. DBS surgery is safe and the complication rates are acceptably low. The Proteobacteria and Bacteroidota are key lineages encoding PHA depolymerases, but PHA depolymerases were predicted from members of the Bdellovibrionota, Methylomirabilota, Actinobacteriota, Firmicutes, Spirochaetota, Desulfobacterota, Myxococcota and Planctomycetota.
This study aims to adapt the London Measure of Unplanned Pregnancy (LMUP) developed by Barrett et al. to Turkish by checking its validity and reliability.
The sample of this methodological study consisted of 596 pregnant women who were referred to the antenatal outpatient clinics of a public hospital in eastern Turkey. Data were collected from those who agreed to participate in the study, by using a personal information form and the six-item LMUP. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 24.0 statistical package programs, and statistically assessed using descriptive statistics such as number, percentage, mean and SD, language and content validity, explanatory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), Cronbach's α reliability coefficient, and test-retest analysis.
The EFA revealed that the Turkish version of the LMUP consisted of five items and one factor. The items' factor loadings were above 0.30, and explained 68.89% of the total variance. The CFA supported the one-factor structure of the scale, which was revealed by the EFA. As a result of the CFA, the fit indices were found to be very good. The Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was determined as 0.90.

Odontogenic tumors are relatively common oro-facial tumors seen in our environment with challenges encountered with management in terms of inadequate infrastructure and high cost of treatment. They are often associated with bone resorption with concomitant collagen degradation and excretion of their by-products in serum or urine. The aim of this present study was to evaluate urinary hydroxyproline level in patients with benign mandibular odontogenic tumors.
Twenty-two consecutive patients with histologically diagnosed mandibular odontogenic tumors were recruited. Twenty-two controls who matched the study group for sex and age were also recruited. The study group had CT-Scan of their lesions done. All participants were required to fast 12 hours overnight and their early morning second void urine collected between 7 a.m and 8 a.m. The collected urine samples were stored frozen at -20°C until analysis. Colorimetric method of analysis of urinary hydroxyproline and creatinine were done using Biovision hydroxyproline kit and Randox creatinine kit, respectively.
