A 72-year-old man with history of chronic lymphocytic lymphoma presented with a tender, ulcerated cutaneous eyelid lesion. Excisional biopsy revealed a diagnosis of eosinophilic dermatosis of malignancy. This rare paraneoplastic eruption is associated with hematologic malignancies and characterized histopathologically by lymphocytic infiltration accompanied by numerous eosinophils. To our knowledge, eosinophilic dermatosis of malignancy involving the eyelid has not been previously reported.
To describe the frequency, clinical features, and histologic subtypes of biopsy proven lacrimal sac lymphomas, and to compare these results to the previously published literature.
A retrospective chart review was performed at a single institution from 2004 to 2017. Pathology reports, operative notes, and patients' medical charts were reviewed.
Of 566 lacrimal sacs submitted for routine histopathologic evaluation, 16 cases of lymphoma were identified. All were low-grade, non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphomas, biopsied at an average age of 71 years. Thirteen patients (81.25%) had a pre-existing lymphoma diagnosis; the average interval between the diagnosis of systemic or nonocular adnexal lymphoma and lacrimal sac lymphoma was 7.9 years (range 2-26 years; median 5.5 years). Three cases of primary lacrimal sac lymphoma were identified. Histopathology showed 3 cases (18.75%) of follicular lymphoma, 3 (18.75%) of extranodal marginal zone lymphoma, and 10 (62.5%) of chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphtion. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma was the most commonly identified cause of secondary lacrimal sac lymphoma. Distinguishing primary from secondary lacrimal sac lymphomas is important, as the extent of disease and histopathologic subtypes differ, which may affect patient management.A 46-year-old man with refractory migraine headache was treated with decompressive migraine surgery of the supraorbital and supratrochlear nerves. This is a retrospective study on all of the consecutive patients with EFL. Patients with previous trauma and surgery and less than 2 years follow up were excluded. Short- (6 months) and long-term (≥2 years) patient satisfaction (visual analog score [VAS], 0-100) were recorded. Patients' perspectives on temporary versus permanent complications were also documented.
Mean age and follow up were 46.4 and 7.1 (2-13) years, respectively. Long-term satisfaction (79.9) was significantly lower than the short term (96.6). The long-term satisfaction decreased in 95.7%, increased in 2.7%, and remained the same in 1.6% of the patients. The enamel prisms structure at all ages has a regular, ordered shape with 6-sided and 7-sided figures. The most constant structure occurs at the age group of 41-50, 51-60 years. The fastest enamel prisms growth occurs in the direction that increases the prism length at all ages. Growth on a plane which increases the prism width is slow at 41-50 years. It is catching up with the growth rate of enamel prisms in length at 51-60 years old.

Reports of mailed fecal immunochemical test (FIT) outreach effectiveness over time are minimal. We aimed to better evaluate a mailed FIT program with longitudinal metrics.
A total of 10,771 patients aged 50 to 75 years not up-to-date with colorectal cancer screening were randomized to intervention or usual care. The intervention arm received an advanced notification call and informational postcard prior to a mailed FIT. Usual care was at the discretion of the primary care provider. Patients were followed for up to 2.5 years. The primary outcome was the difference in cumulative proportion of completed FIT screening between arms. Screening was further examined with the proportion of time up-to-date, consistency of adherence, and frequency of abnormal FIT.
The cumulative proportion of FIT completion was higher in the outreach intervention (73.2% vs 55.1%; P < .001). It supports interactive and responsive (linked) visualizations across a set of predefined graphical layouts. i2dash addresses the needs of data analysts/ software developers for a tool that is compatible and attachable to any R-based analysis pipeline, thereby fostering the separation of data visualization on one hand and data analysis tasks on the other hand. In addition, the generic design of i2dash enables the development of modular extensions for specific needs.
Due to its systemic nature and interconnection with all the other systems in the body, the immune system is an attractive target for aging intervention because relatively targeted modifications to a small set of cells have the potential to improve the health of multiple organ systems. Therefore, anti-aging immune targeting therapies could represent a potent approach for improving healthspan. Here, we review aging changes in the major components of the immune system, we summarize the current immune-targeting therapeutic approaches in the context of aging and discuss the future directions in the field of immune rejuvenation. To identify and assess the magnitude of effect of pregnancy outcome predictors in women with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) by means of systematic review and meta-analysis. PubMed and Embase were searched (13th June 2020) for studies reporting on pre-pregnancy risk factors of pregnancy outcomes in APS patients. Literature screening and data extraction were conducted by two reviewers independently, in a blinded standardized manner. Pooled univariate odds ratios (OR) were computed using a random effects model. Heterogeneity was assessed by I %. The search yielded 3013 unique results; 27 records were included in this meta-analysis. Previous thrombosis was associated with a decreased live birth risk (OR 0.60, p<0.01, I =40%), increased neonatal mortality (OR 15.19, p<0.01, I =0%), an increased risk of antenatal or postpartum thrombosis (OR 6.26, p<0.01, I =0%) and an increased risk of delivering a small for gestational age neonate (SGA) (OR 2.60, p=0.01, I =0%). The intervention arm received an advanced notification call and informational postcard prior to a mailed FIT. Usual care was at the discretion of the primary care provider. Patients were followed for up to 2.5 years. The primary outcome was the difference in cumulative proportion of completed FIT screening between arms. Screening was further examined with the proportion of time up-to-date, consistency of adherence, and frequency of abnormal FIT. Osimertinib is the main treatment choice for pretreated patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harbouring epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) T790M mutations. However, the choice of subsequent therapy when progressive disease has developed after osimertinib treatment remains a major therapeutic challenge. This study evaluated the efficacy of osimertinib-based combination therapies in patients who developed progressive disease after treatment with osimertinib.
We enrolled NSCLC patients harbouring T790M mutations pretreated with first- or second-generation EGFR tyrosine-kinase inhibitors and were receiving osimertinib at two tertiary referral centres between August 2015 and July 2019, and the subsequent treatment efficacy was assessed.
Osimertinib-based combination therapy yielded better overall survival (OS) than chemotherapy alone (not achieved vs. 7.8 months; hazard ratio, 0.39; 95 % confidence interval 0.17-0.89; P = 0.025) according to the Cox proportional hazards model adjusted for possible confounders. Synergism (combination index <1) between AZD9291 and chemotherapy and a higher proportion of apoptosis cells in combination treatment were also demonstrated in the T790M-positive PC9 cell line with acquired resistance to AZD9291.
Our data supported the hypothesis that osimertinib-based combination therapy is associated with improved OS among patients with clinical progression following the use of osimertinib. These findings warrant further validation in a randomised controlled study.

However, the production and release of second pollutants, particularly chlorine-containing products, have been neglected. The mechanism for the transformation of chlorine during the pyrolysis of plastic wastes remains unclear. Herein, a thermogravimetric Fourier transform infrared mass spectrometry technology was used to investigate the migration and transformation of substances during the pyrolysis of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic from 200 °C to 900 °C with heating rates of 5, 50, 100, 150, and 200 K min-1. Results show the first stage of weight loss is at 200 °C-360 °C, where the dehydrochlorination of PVC mainly occurred, accompanied by the formation of conjugated double bonds and a small number of hydrocarbon compounds. The second stage of weight loss is at 360 °C-550 °C, where the breakage and rearrangement of the long polyethene chain may occur. Kinetics analysis shows the higher activation energy value is in the second stage, which indicates that the second stage reaction is less likely to occur and the Flynn-Wall-Ozawa method is more suitable for the study of plastic pyrolysis kinetics. This study suggests that second pollutants can be minimized during controllable pyrolysis.Gas sensors fabricated using In-Ga-Zn oxide (IGZO) thin films doped with Fluorine (F) were used to detect nitrogen dioxide (NO2) gas. IGZO films with a thickness of 250 nm were deposited onto SiO2/Si substrates via radio-frequency magnetron sputtering, followed by F-doping by an ion-implantation procedure with implant energy of 45 keV and a dose of 3 × 1015 ions/cm2. The NO2 gas detection performance of the fabricated thin-film sensors was tested at various temperatures and NO2 concentrations. The F-doped IGZO (F-IGZO) sensor showed high NO2 gas sensitivity the ratio between the responses to NO2 and air (Rgas/Rair) was 590 at 250 °C and 100 ppm NO2 gas concentration. F-IGZO sensor showed superior selectivity toward NO2 over other gases. The stability of the sensor was also investigated; the sensor was observed to exhibit stable performance for 2 weeks.Leachate treatment is challenging owing to the complex composition of pollutants. This study investigated the treatment performance of a membrane bioreactor (MBR) and the microbial community structure corresponding to the effect of prolonged sludge retention times (SRTs) under restricted aeration. In the present study, a pilot-scale MBR was designed to treat leachate after being pretreated with an anaerobic filter for continuous operation for 240 days. The experimental results showed that removal performance of over 90% was achieved for biochemical oxygen demand, total Kjeldahl nitrogen, ammonia-nitrogen, and suspended solids when the MBR was operated at SRTs of 150-300 days. The results on microbial communities revealed that Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, Planctomycetes, Chloroflexi, and Actinobacteria were the major phyla. Furthermore, ammonia-oxidizing bacteria belonging to Nitrosomonadaceae were considered to play a vital role in the ammonia-nitrogen removal. A high abundance of Rhizobiales was detected on the biofilm of the membrane, which could be the key driver of bio-fouling. The dynamic changes in the microbial community indicate steady performance of MBR and can act as an indicator of membrane bio-fouling. .INTRODUCTION Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a chronic disease with symptoms of persistent pain or resting pain, joint stiffness, numbness, limitation of activity and even disability, with significant associated costs and effects on individuals' life quality. The use of acupuncture for the management of chronic pain is receiving increasing recognition from both the public and professionals. The aim of this study is to identify the effects of three commonly used acupuncture treatments for KOA. METHODS/ANALYSIS In a prospective trial involving six hospitals in Zhejiang Province (China), 360 patients with KOA will be included. Eligible patients will be randomized into six groups Acupuncture, Electro-acupuncture, Mild moxibustion, Warm-needling, Sham acupuncture and Celebrex treatment. Twelve treatment sessions will be performed over a 4-week period. The primary outcome will be the visual analogue scale and Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) function scores (the average of the past 3 days) at weeks 2 and 4 and at 3-month and 6-month follow-up. Secondary outcome measures will be as follows the WOMAC pain score and WOMAC stiffness score (the average of the past 3 days); the Physical Activity Scale of the Elderly (PASE); knee joint swelling measurement; the WHO Quality Of Life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) life quality scale; and the incidence of adverse events. METHODS Participants from five medical schools in Israel completed anonymous questionnaires in Hebrew, based on the "Medical Students' Attitudes Toward the Underserved" (MSATU), which assessed students' attitudes regarding the professional responsibility and societal expectations towards the migrants. It also evaluated students' views of the migrants as eligible for expensive medical procedures. RESULTS A total of 891 students completed the survey with a median age of 28 years. The majority were Jews (N = 816, 91.6%) and singles (N = 681, 68.5%). Participants in the pre-clinical years were likely to be female and unmarried compared to those in clinical training. They also demonstrated higher scores on professional responsibilities and societal expectations than students in clinical training, but no significant differences were found in their views on expensive medical services. .INTRODUCTION Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a chronic disease with symptoms of persistent pain or resting pain, joint stiffness, numbness, limitation of activity and even disability, with significant associated costs and effects on individuals' life quality. The use of acupuncture for the management of chronic pain is receiving increasing recognition from both the public and professionals. The aim of this study is to identify the effects of three commonly used acupuncture treatments for KOA. METHODS/ANALYSIS In a prospective trial involving six hospitals in Zhejiang Province (China), 360 patients with KOA will be included. Eligible patients will be randomized into six groups Acupuncture, Electro-acupuncture, Mild moxibustion, Warm-needling, Sham acupuncture and Celebrex treatment. Twelve treatment sessions will be performed over a 4-week period. The primary outcome will be the visual analogue scale and Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) function scores (the average of the past 3 days) at weeks 2 and 4 and at 3-month and 6-month follow-up. A study of 90 days duration was conducted to determine the production performance, nutrient utilization and rumen fermentation of lambs on milk replacer allowance at different weaning age. Sixty-six Malpura lambs (10 days of age) were randomly divided into 3 equal groups. Lambs in control group were allowed conventional free suckling of dam up to 90 day of age, whereas lambs in the two treatment groups, that is W60 and W90 were offered milk replacer and weaned at 60 and 90 days, respectively. Lambs in all groups were offered ad-libitum creep mixture, Ziziphus nummularia leaves, Vigna unguiculata hay and fresh Ailanthus excelsa leaves. Overall weight gain was 12.7 per cent higher (p less then 0.05) in W90 than control whereas in W60 group it was statistically comparable with both control and W90 groups. Overall average daily gain was 12.1 per cent higher (p less then 0.05) in W90 group as compared to control. In case of nutrient digestibility, there was significant depression of dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), crude protein (CP) and neutral detergent fibre (NDF) by 16.9, 17.2, 9.3 and 32.0 per cent in W60 than control; however, in W90, CP digestibility was higher (p less then 0.05) than control and W60. After lung transplantation (LT), gastroparesis is frequent, occurring in 25-63% of cases and leading to pulmonary infections. In refractory disease, classical management has demonstrated limited efficacy. Gastric peroral endoscopic myotomy (G-POEM) is a recently developed safe and effective procedure that has been performed here on five patients with severe post-LT gastroparesis.
In all patients, the diagnosis was confirmed by disturbed gastric emptying scintigraphy and GCSI calculation showing severe disease. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopies confirmed the absence of organic lesions. All patients were informed about the procedure and signed informed consent forms. The procedure consisted of performing an endoscopic pyloromyotomy under general anesthesia.
The patients were between 35 and 64years of age. Four had chronic disease, starting approximately 1year following LT, and one had acute, severe gastroparesis requiring intubation in the intensive care unit. All patients underwent G-POEM after failure of medical treatment, without any complications. Three of the patients with chronic disease improved; they resumed a normal diet and gained weight. The patient with acute disease was discharged within a few days following the procedure and resumed oral intake.

Due to a substantial decline in pancreas transplantation (PT) across the United States over the past 15 years, we sought to understand the perceptions and practices of US PT programs.
Surveys were sent to members of the American Society of Transplantation Surgeons and the American Society of Transplantation by email and professional society postings between August 2019 and November 2019.
One hundred twenty three responses were recorded from 56 unique programs. Program characteristics were obtained from the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients. Respondents were transplant surgeons (71%), transplant nephrologists (17%), trainees (9%), and allied professionals (3%). Programs were defined according to annual volume as low (<5 PT/year), intermediate (6-20), or high (>20). High-volume programs reported that these factors were most important for increased PT expansion of recipient selection, more aggressive donor utilization, and hiring of PT program-specific personnel. At both the program and national level, the vast majority (82% and 79%, respectively) felt the number of PTs currently performed are not in balance with patients' needs.
Overall, programs reported that the option of PT is not offered adequately to diabetic patients and that strategies to maintain higher PT volume are most evident at intermediate, and especially, high-volume programs.

The aim of the present study was to test an explanatory model for individual and social wellbeing which incorporates the advantages of using digital technologies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was carried out in Italy, one of the countries that has been most severely affected by the pandemic worldwide. The study was designed to include variables that might be specifically pertinent to the uniqueness of the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. Adults living in Italy (n = 1412) completed an online survey during the lockdown period in March 2020. https://www.selleckchem.com/screening/chemical-library.html Results showed two distinct digital interaction processes highlighted by the facilitating use of online emotions ("e-motions") and online social support ("e-support"). In short, e-motions were positively related to posttraumatic growth, which in turn was positively associated with positive mental health and higher engagement in prosocial behaviors. Moreover, individuals who perceived themselves as having greater e-support were characterized by higher levels of positive mental health, which it turn was positively associated with prosocial behaviors. Three CNNs (AlexNet, GoogLeNet and ResNet-50) were trained, validated and tested (in the MATLAB 2020b software) for the recognition of selected liquids (ethanol, propanol and pentane) using photographs of the flames they produce. For training, validation and test photographs of the liquids under investigation burning in a 106-mm-diameter vessel were used. The accuracy of all the CNNs under investigation during the tests was above 99%. In addition the trained CNNs were tested using photographs of the flames generated by the liquids under investigation burning in a vessel with a diameter of 75 mm. The accuracy of the trained CNNs in this additional test ranged from 37 to 42% (GoogLeNet) through 62-73% (ResNet-50) up to 51-80% (AlexNet) - the results varied dependent upon the relative size of the flame in the photograph under analysis (in most cases an increase in the relative size caused an increase in accuracy). The accuracy of the AlexNet can be improved from 80% to almost 96% using an algorithm. The principle of the algorithm is the analysis of 10 photographs of the same liquid in the same vessel (taken over a few seconds) followed by the recognition based on an identical classification for at least 6 out of 10 photographs. An accuracy of 96% is sufficient for the rapid recognition of burning liquids in practical applications.

The study also examines whether this relationship is mediated by the tourist perception in Bangladesh. The study is of quantitative design, and the relationships between tourist knowledge, tourist health risk, and destination personality with tourist hesitation were explored using a sample of 322 Bangladeshi prospective tourists. The three relationships were also examined through tourist perception. By using cross-sectional data, the researchers hypothesized that tourist knowledge, tourist health risk, and destination personality have a positive and significant effect on tourist hesitation. Besides, the researchers also hypothesized that tourist perception mediates the relationships between tourist knowledge, tourist health risk, and destination personality with tourist hesitation. In this respect, the Smart PLS 3.0 was employed to analyze the data. The results of the study confirm findings of previous related studie. Besides, the results may assist stakeholders of tourist destinations in understanding tourist perception and the causes of tourist's hesitation.The growing availability of data and the emergence of business analytics ecosystems offer possibilities for companies developing innovative business models. The study is based on four instrumental cases where Big Data organisations were faced with challenges to their legitimacy. The findings elaborate how digital transformations require companies to understand and manage how **** to disrupt and how **** to conform to social norms and values. Big Data businesses face a dynamic and paradoxical tension between the potential costs and benefits of their disruptive business models. Through the lens of cognitive dissonance theory, this study investigates the role of health professional encouragement as well as patients' security concerns in influencing continuous use intention and deep structure usage among users of a patient portal. The analysis of data collected from 177 patients at a major medical center in the Midwestern region of the United States shows that health professional encouragement helps increase the continuous use intention and deep structure usage of the patient portal, while security concerns impede them. Interestingly, health professional encouragement not only has a direct positive influence on continuous use intention and deep structure usage but also lowers the negative impact of security concerns on them. The study also examines whether this relationship is mediated by the tourist perception in Bangladesh. The study is of quantitative design, and the relationships between tourist knowledge, tourist health risk, and destination personality with tourist hesitation were explored using a sample of 322 Bangladeshi prospective tourists. The three relationships were also examined through tourist perception. By using cross-sectional data, the researchers hypothesized that tourist knowledge, tourist health risk, and destination personality have a positive and significant effect on tourist hesitation. Besides, the researchers also hypothesized that tourist perception mediates the relationships between tourist knowledge, tourist health risk, and destination personality with tourist hesitation. If this problem can be successfully addressed, it could have a positive impact on various stakeholders. Through the lens of cognitive dissonance theory, this study investigates the role of health professional encouragement as well as patients' security concerns in influencing continuous use intention and deep structure usage among users of a patient portal. The analysis of data collected from 177 patients at a major medical center in the Midwestern region of the United States shows that health professional encouragement helps increase the continuous use intention and deep structure usage of the patient portal, while security concerns impede them. Interestingly, health professional encouragement not only has a direct positive influence on continuous use intention and deep structure usage but also lowers the negative impact of security concerns on them. Arsenite (As(III)) is more toxic and difficult to remove than arsenate (As(V)). In this study, an S-doped Cu-La bimetallic oxide (S-CuLaO) decorated with metal-organic framework (MOF) composite (S-CuLaO@UIO-66) was synthesized and applied for the adsorption of As(III). The maximum adsorption capacity of As(III) by S-CuLaO@UIO-66 was as high as 171 mg/g, which was **** higher compared with other MOF compounds reported to date. The boron dopants and defects were simultaneously introduced by potassium borohydride, resulting in an excellent activity towards PMS activation. The dominant reactive oxygen species was singlet oxygen, which was determined to originate from PMS activation over photo-induced holes initiated by an electron transfer process. Calculations based on density functional theory revealed that at excited states, due to the dopants and defects, the electron-hole distribution was altered from an even population to a significant separation, which was beneficial for photocatalytic performance. Besides, the engineered electronic structure weakened the catalyst resistance to charge transfer, enabling easier electron transfer between the catalyst and the PMS. Moreover, the strengthened and enlarged positive electrostatic potential areas on heptazine rings oriented the electron transfer process from the negatively charged PMS to the catalyst, facilitating the generation of singlet oxygen. Owing to the severity of heavy metal pollution in certain parts of the environment, biosurfactants have garnered great interest and attention as an emerging multi-functional technology of the new century for successful removal of heavy metal pollutants.

Work on curved tracks, e.g. on circles, is commonplace within all forms of horse training. Horse movements in circles are naturally asymmetric, including the load distribution between inner and outer limbs. Within equestrian dressage the horse is expected to bend the **** laterally to follow the circle, but this has never been studied scientifically. In the current study 12 horses were measured (optical motion capture, 100 Hz) trotting on left and right circles and on the straight without rider (soft surface). Data from markers placed along the spine indicated increased lateral bending to the inside (e.g. left bending on the left circle) of the thoracolumbar **** (difference left circle vs. straight - 3.75°; right circle + 3.61°) and the neck (left - 5.23°; right + 4.80° vs. straight). Lateral bending ROM increased on the circle (+ 0.87° and + 0.62°). Individual variation in straight-circle differences was evident, but each horse was generally consistent over multiple trials. Differences in **** movements between circle and straight were generally small and may or may not be visible, but accompanying changes in muscle activity and limb movements may add to the visual impression.Kitchen elbow sign (KE-Sign) is a skin abnormality on the extensor side of the elbow and forearm that is often observed in patients with adult spinal deformity (ASD). The preoperative and 1-year follow-up evaluations included radiographic parameters [C7 sagittal vertical axis (SVA), pelvic incidence (PI) and lumbar lordosis (LL)], the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), visual analogue scales (VASs) for low **** pain, leg pain, and satisfaction, and Short Form 36 questionnaire (SF-36). Multi-regression analysis was performed to identify patient satisfaction predictors and improvement in the ODI as dependent variables and preoperative background factors as independent variables. Our model uses input data from several static or dynamic experiments and is based on the well-supported assumption that thermal injury accumulation rate increases exponentially with temperature (known as a thermal death time curve). The model also assumes thermal stress at different temperatures to be additive and using experiments with Drosophila melanogaster, we validate these central assumptions by demonstrating that heat injury attained at different heat stress intensities and durations is additive. In a separate experiment we demonstrate that our model can accurately describe injury accumulation during fluctuating temperature stress and further we validate the model by successfully converting literature data of ectotherm heat tolerance (both static and dynamic assays) to a single, comparable metric (the temperature tolerated for 1 h). The model presented here has many promising applications for the analysis of ectotherm thermal tolerance and we also discuss potential pitfalls that should be considered and avoided using this model.JCOG1113 is a randomized phase III trial in patients with advanced biliary tract cancers (****) (UMIN000001685), and gemcitabine plus S-1 (GS) was not inferior to gemcitabine plus cisplatin (GC). However, poor renal function often results in high toxicity of S-1. Therefore, we examined whether GS can be recommended for patients with low creatinine clearance (CCr). Renal function was classified by CCr as calculated by the Cockcroft-Gault formula high CCr (CCr ≥ 80 ml/min) and low CCr (80 > CCr ≥ 50 ml/min). Of 354 patients, 87 patients on GC and 91 on GS were included in the low CCr group, while there were 88 patients on GC and 88 patients on GS in the high CCr group. The HR of overall survival for GS compared with GC was 0.687 (95% CI 0.504-0.937) in the low CCr group. Although the total number of incidences of all Grade 3-4 non-haematological adverse reactions was higher (36.0% vs. 11.8%, p = 0.0002), the number of patients who discontinued treatment was not different (14.1% vs. 16.9%, p = 0.679) for GS compared with GC in the low CCr group. Forty-seven students (mean age of 19.47 ± 0.54 years; 43 females; 4 males) were included; 23 students comprised the VR group. Both methods showed to improve knowledge significantly, the improvement between groups was not different. The RaD group showed to have a significantly higher score on expectancy than students in the VR group. Task value scores regarding finding a task interesting, useful and fun were found to be significantly different in favor of the VR group.
