In this study, the serological surveillance of Rift Valley Fever virus (RVFV) in southern Egypt was carried out for 460 serum samples collected from domestic animals (unvaccinated), including cattle, sheep, goat, camel and donkey reared in three different provinces (Qena, Luxor and Aswan). Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect RVFV antibodies. The results showed that 97 out of 460 animals were positive by using blocking ELISA. The percentage of RVFV infection in cattle, sheep, goat, camel and donkey was 5.55%, 65.21%, 14.44%, 20.65% and 0%, respectively. Geographical distribution and breeding system were taken into consideration for RVFV infection in these animals. The most prevalent type of infection was identified in intensive breeding farms systems (27.63%), and then in individual breeding systems (11.68%). Qena had a higher infection rate of RVFV (23.55%), in comparison to Aswan and Luxor (20.65% and 14.14%, respectively). Marked seroprevalence recorded in this study indicates a high incidence of infection in sheep (65.21%) and camel (20.65%); this necessitates the application of more effective strategies to control these types of infections in Egypt. This study provides a concise picture about the RVFV disease in southern Egypt. Early diagnosis of hypertension prevents a significant number of complications and premature deaths. In resource-variable settings, diagnosis may be limited by inadequate access to blood pressure (BP) machines. We sought to understand the availability, functionality and access of BP machines at the points of care within primary care facilities in Tororo district, Uganda.
This was an explanatory sequential mixed-methods study combining a structured facility checklist and key informant interviews with primary care providers. The checklist was used to collect data on availability and functionality of BP machines within their organisational arrangements. Key informant interviews explored health providers' access to BP machines.
The majority of health facilities reported at least one working BP machine. However, Health providers described limited access to machines because they are not located at each point of care. Health providers reported borrowing amongst themselves within their respective units or from other units within the facility. Some health providers purchase and bring their own BP machines to the health facilities or attempted to restore the functionality of broken ones. They are motivated to search the clinic for BP machines for some patients but not others based on their perception of the patient's risk for hypertension.
Access to BP machines at the point of care was limited. This makes hypertension screening selective based on health providers' perception of the patients' risk for hypertension. Training in proper BP machine use and regular maintenance will minimise frequent breakdowns.

The aim of this study was to determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices of private hospital-based staff regarding physical activity in Johannesburg.
A cross-sectional study was conducted. Data were collected using a self-administered questionnaire. Data were analysed with a combination of descriptive and inferential statistics. A p-value less than 0.05 was deemed statistically significant.
A total number of 217 participants responded to the questionnaire. The majority of participants (n = 179; 82.49%) displayed excellent knowledge of physical activity, had a good attitude towards physical activity (n = 157; 72.35%) and displayed satisfactory practices (n = 137; 63.13%). Participants with the highest level of education had better mean knowledge, attitude and practice scores as opposed to those with lower levels of education. There was a statistically significant difference amongst staff categories in terms of knowledge (p = 0.004) and practice scores (p = 0.031). In addition, there was a statistically significant difference amongst different levels of education in terms of knowledge (p = 0.000), attitude (p = 0.02) and practice scores (p = 0.004).
Staff members who participated in the study displayed only satisfactory physical activity practices. The hospital's employee wellness programme should establish appropriate strategies to improve staff practices of physical activity in order to promote health.

South Africa adopted the concept and implemented the Standard Treatment Guidelines and Essential Medicines List (STGs/EML) in 1996 when the National Drug Policy for South Africa was launched. The STGs/EML was meant to address the inequities in medicines access and use and to ensure a standard of care to all citizens, yet these inequities still exist. The implementation of the new National Health Insurance (NHI) scheme is envisaged to relieve this healthcare inequity. The STGs/EML still forms the basis of care in the public sector, but a critique of implementing this tool and lessons that can be applied from this implementation for NHI are lacking. This piece addresses these shortfalls and highlights questions surrounding the implementation of the STGs/EML.

Methoxyflurane is a fluorinated hydrocarbon gas which has analgesic properties when inhaled. Penthrox is a methoxyflurane autoinhaler recently licenced in Europe. Its ease of administration, safety, and fast onset of action make it of particular relevance to emergency medicine. We designed and registered a study protocol for a systematic review and meta-analysis on randomised controlled trials, comparing inhaled methoxyflurane and either placebo or standard caeview will summarise the best available evidence and definitively establish if inhaled methoxyflurane is a superior analgesia to standard care in the acute trauma setting. This knowledge will directly impact emergency care in the UK and worldwide and may require amendments to European pain relief guidelines.

Cockayne syndrome is a progressive multisystem genetic disorder linked to defective DNA repair and transcription. This rare condition encompasses a very wide spectrum of clinical severity levels ranging from severe prenatal onset to mild adult-onset subtypes. The rarity, complexity and variability of the disease make early diagnosis and severity assessment difficult. Based on similar approaches in other neurodegenerative disorders, we propose to validate diagnostic and severity scores for Cockayne syndrome.
Clinical, imaging and genetic data were retrospectively collected from 69 molecularly confirmed CS patients. A clinical diagnostic score and a clinical-radiological diagnostic score for CS were built using a multivariable logistic regression model with a stepwise variable selection procedure. A severity score for CS was designed on five items (head circumference, growth failure, neurosensorial signs, motor autonomy, communication skills) and validated by comparison with classical predefined severity suof future therapeutic interventions. Prospective studies will be needed to confirm these findings.
Klebsiella pneumoniae brain abscesses are a rare entity and typically present in immunocompromised patients. We present a case of an overall healthy patient who developed a Klebsiella pneumoniae brain abscess in the absence of liver pathology.
A 46-year-old Vietnamese man with past medical history significant for hypertension presented to the hospital with acute on chronic worsening of altered mental status, personality changes, and gait dysfunction. Initial vitals revealed temperature of 37.1°C, heart rate 87 beats/minute, blood pressure 150/87 mmHg, respiratory rate 18/minute, and oxygen saturation 99% on room air. Physical exam was notable for altered mental status, Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score of 14, and right lower facial droop. Cardiopulmonary exam was within normal limits. Head computed tomography (CT) showed a left frontotemporal mass, with subsequent brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealing a ring-enhancing lesion concerning for a brain abscess. The abscess was urgently drained; howeverch is required for a potential favorable outcome.
Early detection of colorectal carcinoma (CRC) would help to identify tumors when curative treatments are available and beneficial. However, current screening methods for CRC, e.g., colonoscopy, may affect patients' compliance due to the uncomfortable, invasive and time-consuming process. In recent decades, methylation profiles of blood-based circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) have shown promising results in the early detection of multiple tumors. Here we conducted a study to investigate the performance of ctDNA methylation markers in early detection of CRC.
In total, 742 participants were enrolled in the study including CRC (n = 332), healthy control (n = 333), benign colorectal disease (n = 65) and advanced adenoma (n = 12). After age-matched and randomization, 298 participants (149 cancer and 149 healthy control) were included in training set and 141 (67 cancer and 74 healthy control) were in test set. In the training set, the specificity was 89.3% (83.2-93.7%) and the sensitivity was 88.6% (82.4-93.2%). In thylation markers were promising in the early detection of CRC. Further validation of this model is warranted in prospective studies.

Obesity is a globally increasing health epidemic requiring early lifestyle intervention. Our main objective was to examine the effectiveness of companion-intensive multi-aspect weight management (CIMWM) in Chinese adults with obesity.
In this 6-month, prospective, open-label, multicenter, randomized controlled clinical trial, we recruited 272 obese adults aged 18-50years with a body mass index (BMI) ≥ 28.0kg/m
and capable of using smartphones. CIMWM (n = 136) offered both daily online instructions and monthly face-to-face guidance by physicians, dietitians, and health managers along with the provision of meal replacements in the first 3months. Traditional multi-aspect weight management (TMWM, n = 136) provided monthly face-to-face guidance by the same panel of professionals and the same meal replacements as CIMWM group, but required subjects to complete daily self-monitoring instead of offering daily online instructions. Body composition and metabolic parameters were assessed at baseline, 1, 2, 3, and 6months by physicians.

After adjusting for demographic factors and COVID-19 testing, mean anxiety and COVID-19 burnout scores were significantly higher among physicians whose patients experienced either delays in surgery, adjuvant chemotherapy, radiation, breast imaging or specialty consultation. A multivariable model adjusting for ten physician COVID-19 concerns and delays showed that "delays will impact my emotional well-being" was the strongest concern associated with anxiety, sleep disturbance and COVID-19 burnout factors.

This study therefore undertook to investigate the roles of BMP10 in muscle physiology, using mouse-derived C2C12 myoblasts. Bmp10 silencing prevented a number of biological processes such as myogenic differentiation, glucose uptake, and lipid catabolism, whereas exogenous induction of BMP10 in C2C12 cells significantly stimulated the expression of proteins and genes involved in these processes, as well as mitochondrial biogenesis and thermogenesis, resulting in reduced lipid accumulation. A mechanistic study revealed that BMP10 stimulates myogenesis mainly via the Smad 1/5/8 signaling pathway. In conclusion, our data unveiled a previously unknown mechanism in the regulation of lipid metabolisms by BMP10 in muscle cells and identified its significant roles in systemic metabolic homeostasis, shedding light on BMP10 as a pharmacotherapeutic target to treat metabolic disorders.
The snorkel technique for a juxtarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (JAAA) is an important treatment option for high-risk patients. We report the lift snorkel technique through the trans-femoral access for a type Ia endoleak after fenestrated endovascular aneurysm repair (FEVAR) in a case of difficult trans-brachial access.
A 76-year-old woman who had JAAA presented with a type Ia endoleak and sac expansion after FEVAR. We planned for proximal additional stentgraft with the bilateral renal artery snorkel technique. However, during the secondary intervention, it was difficult to cannulate to the left renal artery through the trans-brachial access due to interference of the supra-renal stent. Stentgraft was eventually delivered into the left renal artery via the trans-femoral access with a 5 Fr sheath. A plain angioplasty balloon was inserted coaxially through the sheath. The balloon was inflated in the proximal end of the stentgraft and then pushed up to replace the proximal end from down to up. The additional aortic cuff was deployed parallel to the snorkel stentgraft. One year after the additional treatment, computed tomography (CT) revealed aneurysm sac shrinkage.

We investigated the association of FOXP3 rs3761548, rs3761549 and rs2294021 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) susceptibility and response to therapy. Bmp10 silencing prevented a number of biological processes such as myogenic differentiation, glucose uptake, and lipid catabolism, whereas exogenous induction of BMP10 in C2C12 cells significantly stimulated the expression of proteins and genes involved in these processes, as well as mitochondrial biogenesis and thermogenesis, resulting in reduced lipid accumulation. A mechanistic study revealed that BMP10 stimulates myogenesis mainly via the Smad 1/5/8 signaling pathway. The snorkel technique for a juxtarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (JAAA) is an important treatment option for high-risk patients. We report the lift snorkel technique through the trans-femoral access for a type Ia endoleak after fenestrated endovascular aneurysm repair (FEVAR) in a case of difficult trans-brachial access. A 76-year-old woman who had JAAA presented with a type Ia endoleak and sac expansion after FEVAR. We planned for proximal additional stentgraft with the bilateral renal artery snorkel technique. However, during the secondary intervention, it was difficult to cannulate to the left renal artery through the trans-brachial access due to interference of the supra-renal stent. Stentgraft was eventually delivered into the left renal artery via the trans-femoral access with a 5 Fr sheath. A plain angioplasty balloon was inserted coaxially through the sheath. The balloon was inflated in the proximal end of the stentgraft and then pushed up to replace the proximal end from down to up. The additional aortic cuff was deployed parallel to the snorkel stentgraft. One year after the additional treatment, computed tomography (CT) revealed aneurysm sac shrinkage. In addition, CNVs and enhancers cooperatively regulated the expressions of cancer-related genes. Genome-wide TF binding profiles revealed that enhancers were pervasively regulated by TFs. A network-based analysis of TF-enhancer-gene regulatory circuits revealed a core TF-gene module (58 interactions including seven genes and 14 TFs) that was associated survival of patients with glioma (p less then 0.001). Finally, we validated this prognosis-associated TF-gene regulatory module in an independent cohort. In summary, our analyses provided new molecular insights for enhancer-centered transcriptional perturbation in glioma therapy. We show that anions selectively bind low charge states of these oligonucleotides. Ion-mobility measurements are made to determine the collision cross section (CCS) of these oligonucleotides with anion adduction. We utilize both a nucleic acid exact hard sphere simulation (EHSS) calibration and a protein calibration. In addition, the nonmolecular crystals show reversible contraction and recovery during multiple heating-cooling cycles due to the self-restorative shape memory effect. The reversible actuation of the CP could be repeated for 20 heating-cooling cycles in differential scanning calorimetry experiments, suggesting its great potential as a multicyclic actuator. In this work, we study the kinetics of perovskite grain growth with surface energy calculations by first-principles density functional theory (DFT) and reveal that the surface energy-driven preferential grain growth during NIL, which involves multiplex processes of restricted grain growth in the surface-normal direction, abnormal grain growth, crystallographic reorientation, and grain boundary migration, is the enabler of the material quality enhancement. Moreover, we develop an optimized NIL process and prove its effectiveness by employing it in a perovskite light-emitting electrochemical cell (PeLEC) architecture, in which we observe a fourfold enhancement of maximum current efficiency and twofold enhancement of luminance compared to a PeLEC without NIL, reaching a maximum current efficiency of 0.07598 cd/A at 3.5 V and luminance of 1084 cd/m2 at 4 V.

Herein, we report the reversible TS effect in a one-dimensional CP due to the martensitic phase transition during both heating and cooling cycles. The TS effect was preceded by anisotropic thermal expansion showing high expansion coefficients. In addition, the nonmolecular crystals show reversible contraction and recovery during multiple heating-cooling cycles due to the self-restorative shape memory effect. The reversible actuation of the CP could be repeated for 20 heating-cooling cycles in differential scanning calorimetry experiments, suggesting its great potential as a multicyclic actuator. In this work, we study the kinetics of perovskite grain growth with surface energy calculations by first-principles density functional theory (DFT) and reveal that the surface energy-driven preferential grain growth during NIL, which involves multiplex processes of restricted grain growth in the surface-normal direction, abnormal grain growth, crystallographic reorientation, and grain boundary migration, is the enabler of the material quality enhancement. We adapted the SAHM curriculum for a required four-week rotation for pediatricians in training. Models were adjusted for childhood mental health symptoms, body mass index, and family income.
Earlier breast development was associated with higher depressive symptoms among whites (β=-.19; p < .01) and higher anxiety symptoms among Latinas (β=-.26; p < .05), but lower depressive symptoms among Asians (β= .24, p < .05). A retrospective cohort of patients with sacrococcygeal aseptic operations (class I incision category) from January 2017 to March 2018 were divided into intervention (sandwich dressing) and control groups (conventional dressing). The surgical site infections (SSI) rate, wound healing course, hospitalization time, and medical costs in the two groups were determined. To exclude the influence of other factors, operation time, blood loss, age, sex ratio, the distance of the incision from the distal edge to the anus, and initial defecation times were compared between the groups.
The SSI rates and medical costs in the interventional group were significantly lower than the control group (0% vs 78.57%, P < 0.0001; 3.27 ± 0.98 vs 5.83 ± 1.66 ¥10,000, p < 0.0001). Hospitalization times were also lower in the intervention compared to the control group (17.05 ± 4.77 vs 34.50 ± 15.47 day, P = 0.001).

In the last few years, significant effort has been devoted to uncover the molecular mechanisms and predictive markers of resistance. These analyses identified various DNA (single nucleotide variations, amplifications) and RNA variants (e.g., the splice variant AR-V7) of androgen receptor in association with resistance to abiraterone and enzalutamide therapies. Additionally, androgen receptor independent resistance mechanisms were also described. Some of these alterations can be detected in tumor tissues and/or in liquid biopsies of prostate cancer patients and therefore may serve as predictive biomarkers. According to the diversity of potential resistance mechanisms, it appears that a combination of markers representing various resistance mechanisms may provide better performance as single markers. In the present review, we summarize the most important androgen receptor dependent and independent resistance mechanisms and pay attention to methodological details. Recent data has highlighted that some of the resistance mechanisms to next-generation antiandrogen agents are associated with a better response to other therapies, we give an overview on currently ongoing clinical studies evaluating this promising aspect.Leprosy is one of the neglected diseases in the world and Brazil is the second country with more cases. The authors conclude that with this patient profile, greater vigilance should be taken regarding possible adverse effects, especially anemia.

The present study was designed to investigate the anti-rheumatic effects and the mechanism of angiotensin (Ang)-(1-7) in rat models with collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). The CIA model was established using male Wistar rats by intradermal injection of bovine collagen-II in complete Freund's adjuvant at the base of the tail. The levels of angiotensin converting enzyme 2 (ACE2)/Ang-(1-7)/Mas receptor (MasR) were reduced in CIA rats. The attenuation of paw swelling and arthritis scores and improvement of indexes of spleen and thymus were done by Ang-(1-7) injection in CIA rats. The increased levels of inflammatory cytokines, such as interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, and interferon (IFN)-γ in the serum and hind paw were blocked by Ang-(1-7) administration. In addition, enhanced NADPH oxidase (Nox) activity, increased levels of superoxide anions and malondialdehyde (MDA), and weakened superoxide dismutase (***) activity, were all reversed by treatment with Ang-(1-7). Nox1 overexpression reversed the suppressing effects of Ang-(1-7) on paw swelling and arthritis scores in CIA rats. The Ang-(1-7)-induced improvement in spleen and thymus indexes in CIA rats was abolished by Nox1 overexpression. Nox1 overexpression reversed the inhibitory effects of Ang-(1-7) by increasing IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, and IFN-γ levels in the serum and hind paw of CIA rats. Here, we verified the hypothesis that amino acids (AA) regulating the critical metabolic pathways necessary for maintenance, growth, reproduction, and immunity of an organism, may constitute a favourable target in GB biomarker research. We measured the plasma amino acids levels in 18 GB patients and 15 controls and performed the quantitative and qualitative metabolomic analysis of free AA applying high-performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LC-QTOF-MS). We present both the raw data and the results of our statistical analysis. The majority of AA were lowered in the study group in comparison to the control group. Five of these (arginine, glutamic acid, glutamine, glycine, and histidine) differed significantly (all p 0.9). Plasma levels of leucine and phenylalanine decreased in the case of GB with lost alpha-thalassemia/mental retardation X-linked (ATRX) expression on immunohistochemistry (p = 0.003 and 0.045, respectively). We demonstrated for the first time that certain plasma-free AA levels of GB patients were significantly different from those in healthy volunteers. Target profiling of plasma-free AA, identified utilizing LC-QTOF-MS, may present prognostic value by indicating GB patients with lost ATRX expression. The positive control diet [65.3% fishmeal (46% crude protein on dry matter basis)] and all low-fishmeal diets contained 40% true protein and 10% lipids. There were 3 tanks per treatment group (20 fish/tank). Fish with the mean initial body weight of 16.6 g were fed to satiety twice daily. Compared with the unsupplemented low-fishmeal group, supplementing either 0.5% methionine or 0.5% methionine plus 0.5% taurine to the low-fishmeal diet improved (P less then 0.05) the growth, feed utilization, retention of dietary protein and lipids, and health of largemouth bass, reduced (P less then 0.05) the occurrence of black skin syndrome from ~ 40 to ~ 10%. Histological sections of tissues from the fish with black skin syndrome showed retina degeneration, liver damage, and enteritis in the intestine. Compared with methionine supplementation, supplementing 0.5% taurine alone to the low-fishmeal diet did not affect the growth or feed efficiency of fish and had less beneficial effects (P less then 0.05) on ameliorating the black skin syndrome. These results indicated that (a) the basal low-fishmeal diet was inadequate in methionine or taurine; and (b) dietary supplementation with methionine was an effective method to improve the growth performance, feed efficiency, and health of largemouth bass. Further studies are warranted to understand the pathogenesis of the black skin syndrome in largemouth bass.
In our companion paper, random intercept models (RIMs) investigated response-shift effects in a clinical trial comparing Eculizumab to Placebo for people with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). RIMs predicted Global Health using the EQ-5D Visual Analogue Scale item (VAS) to encompass broad criteria that people might consider. The SF36™v2 mental and physical component scores (MCS and PCS) helped us detect response shift in VAS. Here, we sought to "****-translate" the VAS into the MCS/PCS scores that would have been observed if response shift had not been present.
This secondary analysis utilized NMOSD clinical trial data evaluating the impact of Eculizumab in preventing relapses (n = 143). Analyses began by equating raw scores from the VAS, MCS, and PCS, and computing scores that removed response-shift effects. Correlation analysis and descriptive displays provided a more comprehensive examination of response-shift effects.

There were 3 tanks per treatment group (20 fish/tank). Fish with the mean initial body weight of 16.6 g were fed to satiety twice daily. Compared with the unsupplemented low-fishmeal group, supplementing either 0.5% methionine or 0.5% methionine plus 0.5% taurine to the low-fishmeal diet improved (P less then 0.05) the growth, feed utilization, retention of dietary protein and lipids, and health of largemouth bass, reduced (P less then 0.05) the occurrence of black skin syndrome from ~ 40 to ~ 10%. Histological sections of tissues from the fish with black skin syndrome showed retina degeneration, liver damage, and enteritis in the intestine. Compared with methionine supplementation, supplementing 0.5% taurine alone to the low-fishmeal diet did not affect the growth or feed efficiency of fish and had less beneficial effects (P less then 0.05) on ameliorating the black skin syndrome. These results indicated that (a) the basal low-fishmeal diet was inadequate in methionine or taurine; and (b) dietary supplementation with methionine was an effective method to improve the growth performance, feed efficiency, and health of largemouth bass. Further studies are warranted to understand the pathogenesis of the black skin syndrome in largemouth bass. In our companion paper, random intercept models (RIMs) investigated response-shift effects in a clinical trial comparing Eculizumab to Placebo for people with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). RIMs predicted Global Health using the EQ-5D Visual Analogue Scale item (VAS) to encompass broad criteria that people might consider. The SF36™v2 mental and physical component scores (MCS and PCS) helped us detect response shift in VAS. Here, we sought to "back-translate" the VAS into the MCS/PCS scores that would have been observed if response shift had not been present. This secondary analysis utilized NMOSD clinical trial data evaluating the impact of Eculizumab in preventing relapses (n = 143). Analyses began by equating raw scores from the VAS, MCS, and PCS, and computing scores that removed response-shift effects. Our research questions were 'have females residing in rural areas experienced changes in alcohol consumption, unhealthy food consumption, smoking, exercise or health seeking during the COVID-19 pandemic?' and 'are there differences in health behaviour changes between rural females living with or without children?'. Net increases (scale of 0-1) in consumption of unhealthy food (95% CI 0.05, 0.22) and alcohol (95% CI 0.12, 0.29) were observed. Net decreases (scale of -1 to 0) in visits to the doctor (95% CI -0.23, -0.35) and other health professionals (95% CI -0.40, -0.54) were observed. Compared with females living without children, females who lived with children were significantly associated with increased alcohol consumption (OR 2.4 (95% CI 1.4, 4.1), decreased visits to the doctor (OR 1.9 (95% CI 1.1, 3.2) and decreased visits to other health professionals (OR 1.9 (95% CI 1.1, 3.3). Through the method of epidemic dynamics, this paper analyzes the local and global stabilities of the SIALS model. Besides, this paper introduces a five-tuple attack-defense game model to further study the dynamic relationship between malware and WRSNs. By introducing a cost function and constructing a Hamiltonian function, the optimal strategies for malware and WRSNs are obtained based on the Pontryagin Maximum Principle. Furthermore, the simulation results show the validation of the proposed theories and reveal the influence of parameters on the infection. Multivariate analysis was applied to identify factors associated with dosing decisions and treatment outcomes. Several parameters were associated with dose choice, escalation to higher dose or treatment outcomes, but only few exhibited a consistent association across both studies. These were younger age for initial dose choice and basal number of urgency and change in incontinence episodes for up-titration. Treatment outcome (difference between values at 12 weeks vs. baseline) for each OAB system was strongly driven by the respective baseline value, whereas no other parameter exhibited a consistent association. Patients starting on the 30 mg dose and escalating to 45 mg after 4 weeks had outcomes comparable with those staying on a starting dose of 30 or 45 mg. We conclude that dose escalation after 4 weeks brings OAB patients with an initially limited improvement to a level seen in initially good responders. Analysis of underlying factors yielded surprisingly little consistent insight.
