Here, we explore the possibility of a simple albeit general relation that relates temperature coefficients to frequencies of the associated phonon modes in 2D materials. Remarkably, by resorting to a renormalized phonon picture, we explicitly show that the ratio between the temperature coefficient of Raman shift and the associated phonon frequency is almost a constant that is varied only between materials. The third-order response of Weyl semimetal is nearly independent on the Fermi level, which is quite different from the sensitive dependence (on the Fermi level) of the linear response. The ****is excited by an oscillating Gaussian obstacle along a broad range of driving frequencies Ω. The PRs are detected via a quantity that is closely related to the time-average of the kinetic energy. The significant result of this work is that the trapping geometry plays a major role in defining the values of Ω at which PRs arise and controls their response to disorder. As such, it reveals the interplay of trapping geometry and disorder in these resonances. The dynamics of the modal coefficient C0(t) as well as that of the phase-mismatch δ(t) between the C0(t) and C1(t) are examined at and away from PR. At PR, |C0(t)| is generally found to be lower in magnitude than away from it, demonstrating that the atoms leave the n = 0 ground state towards higher states. In the harmonic oscillator trap, the dynamic pattern of δ(t) is found to be quite robust against changes in the disorder strength contrary to the box potential. This faint emission of light due to temperature-induced changes of permanent polarization is induced by different types of charge carrier recombination, outside and inside the crystal. With decreasing atmospheric pressure, the external discharge mechanism transitions from sparse intense gas discharge pulses at ambient pressure, to frequent faint discharges close to 1 mbar, to a continuous emission which is referred to as smooth pyroelectric luminescence. Our experimental setup exposes the crystal to constant positive and negative temperature changes in the range of 360K - 450K under high vacuum while simultaneously measuring the surface charge density and the emitted intensity. A microscopic model of the luminescence allows the description of the time-dependent pyroelectric luminescence, in particular the determination of deep trap potentials that are otherwise inaccessible to thermal ionization. Using this model, we show that the behavior of this emission in LiNbO3 crystals is consistent with the release of trapped electrons by the Poole-Frenkel effect from a Dirac-well potential, while the commonly assumed coulombic trap shape is in clear disagreement with both the temporal evolution of the emission as well as the magnitude of the electric field obtained in our measurements. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd.Short Wavelength Infrared (SWIR) photovoltaic (PV) detectors are of very great interest. In this study, layers of p-type, quantum confined (QC) PbS nano-domains (NDs) structure engineered to absorb SWIR light at 1550nm were fabricated from solution using Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD). The layers were grown on top of two different n-type CdS intermediate layers using different CBD protocols. The CdS/PbS heterojunctions showed similar photoluminescence behavior, but a profoundly different electrical response to SWIR illumination. One type of heterojunction exhibited a PV response to SWIR light, while the other responded only under an applied bias. Existing burn center referral criteria were developed several years ago, and subsequent innovations in burn care have occurred. Coupled with frequent errors in estimation of extent of burn injury and depth by referring providers, patients are both over and under-triaged when the existing criteria are used to support patient care decisions. In the absence of compelling clinical trial data on appropriate burn patient triage, we convened a multi-disciplinary panel of experts to execute an iterative eDelphi consensus process to facilitate a revision. The eDelphi process panel consisted of n=61 burn stakeholders and experts and progressed through four rounds before reaching consensus on key clinical domains. The major findings are that 1) burn center consultation is strongly recommended for all patients with deep partial thickness or deeper burns ≥ 10% TBSA burned, for full thickness burns ≥ 5% TBSA burned, for children and older adults with specific dressing and medical needs, and for special burn circumstances including electrical, chemical, and radiation injuries; 2) smaller burns are ideally followed in burn center outpatient settings as soon as possible after injury, preferably without delays of a week or more; 3) frostbite, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome/TENS, and necrotizing soft tissue infection patients benefit from burn center treatment; and 4) telemedicine and technological solutions are of likely benefit in achieving this standard. Unlike the original criteria, the revised consensus-based guidelines create a framework promoting communication so that triage and treatment are specifically tailored to individual patient characteristics, injury severity, geography, and the capabilities of referring institutions. © The Author(s) 2020. Each of these activities is tightly regulated in both time and space. While we have a good understanding of chromatin organization in space, for example in fixed snapshots as a result of techniques like FISH and Hi-C, little is known about chromatin dynamics in living cells. The rapid development of flexible genomic loci imaging approaches can address fundamental questions on chromatin dynamics in a range of model organisms. Moreover, it is now possible to visualize not only single genomic loci but the whole genome simultaneously. These advances have opened many doors leading to insight into several nuclear processes including transcription and DNA repair. In this review, we discuss new chromatin imaging methods and how they have been applied to study transcription. © The Author(s) 2020. The decomposition process was classified into four stages fresh, bloated, decayed, and dry. Except for the decayed stage, the elapsed time for each stage of decomposition was similar between open and shaded habitats, with all carcasses reaching dryness in 13 and 14 d, respectively. In total, 2009 insects were collected during the decomposition process with 1,863 flies belonging to seven families and 15 species, and 146 beetles belonging to six species and three families. In addition, there was a substantial difference in the insect number and species between decomposition stages. However, SFHs are uncommon in permanent supportive housing (PSH) for formerly homeless adults, who have fivefold higher smoking rates than the general population. We pilot-tested a brief intervention to increase voluntary adoption of SFHs among PSH residents in the San Francisco Bay Area. METHODS PSH residents (n=100) and staff (n=62) from 15 PSH sites participated in the intervention between October 2017 to February 2018. Research staff provided counseling to PSH residents on how to adopt a SFH and trained PSH staff on how to counsel residents on smoking cessation. The primary outcome was self-reported voluntary adoption of a SFH for ≥90-days and the secondary outcome was carbon monoxide (CO)-verified PPA at 6-months follow-up. PSH staff completed the Smoking Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices survey at baseline and 3-months follow-up. RESULTS At 6-months, 31.3% of PSH residents had adopted a SFH (versus 13.0% at baseline) and 16.9% reported CO-verified PPA. A positive attitude toward a SFH policy was associated with increased odds of SFH adoption (Adjusted Odds Ratio [AOR] 8.68, 95% CI 2.42, 31.17). Voluntary SFH adoption was associated with increased PPA (AOR 26.27, 95% CI 3.43, 201.30). PSH staff reported improved attitudes toward and self-efficacy in delivering cessation care, and decreased barriers to discussing smoking cessation among PSH residents between baseline and 3-months follow-up. CONCLUSIONS In this single-arm study, a brief intervention increased SFH adoption and PPA among PSH residents. © The Author(s) 2020. Existing burn center referral criteria were developed several years ago, and subsequent innovations in burn care have occurred. Coupled with frequent errors in estimation of extent of burn injury and depth by referring providers, patients are both over and under-triaged when the existing criteria are used to support patient care decisions. In the absence of compelling clinical trial data on appropriate burn patient triage, we convened a multi-disciplinary panel of experts to execute an iterative eDelphi consensus process to facilitate a revision. The eDelphi process panel consisted of n=61 burn stakeholders and experts and progressed through four rounds before reaching consensus on key clinical domains. The major findings are that 1) burn center consultation is strongly recommended for all patients with deep partial thickness or deeper burns ≥ 10% TBSA burned, for full thickness burns ≥ 5% TBSA burned, for children and older adults with specific dressing and medical needs, and for special burn circumstances including electrical, chemical, and radiation injuries; 2) smaller burns are ideally followed in burn center outpatient settings as soon as possible after injury, preferably without delays of a week or more; 3) frostbite, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome/TENS, and necrotizing soft tissue infection patients benefit from burn center treatment; and 4) telemedicine and technological solutions are of likely benefit in achieving this standard. Unlike the original criteria, the revised consensus-based guidelines create a framework promoting communication so that triage and treatment are specifically tailored to individual patient characteristics, injury severity, geography, and the capabilities of referring institutions. © The Author(s) 2020. Cadherins play an important role in the regulation of cell differentiation as well as neoplasia. Here we describe the origins and methods of the induction of differentiation of two mouse breast epithelial cell lines, HC11 and EpH4, and their use to study complementary stages of mammary gland development and neoplastic transformation. The HC11 mouse breast epithelial cell line originated from the mammary gland of a pregnant Balb/c mouse. It differentiates when grown to confluence attached to a plastic Petri dish surface in medium containing fetal calf serum and Hydrocortisone, Insulin and Prolactin (HIP medium). ADDME has been designed with a combination of 3D-printed, laser-cut, and online-sourced components. The protocol is arranged into easy-to-follow sections, with detailed diagrams and parts lists under the headings of framing, y-axis and bed, x-axis, extrusion, electronics, and software. The performance of ADDME is evaluated through extrusion testing and 3D printing of complex objects using viscous cream, chocolate, and Pluronic F-127 (a model for bioinks). The results indicate that ADDME is a capable platform for the fabrication of materials and constructs for use in a wide range of industries.

The aim of this study was to evaluate eligibility for sacubitril-valsartan using criteria described in PIONNER-HF in non-selected patients hospitalized for ADHF. METHODS AND RESULTS Between November 2014 and May 2019, 799 patients were recruited in a prospective registry of acute heart failure at the University Hospitals of Geneva (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT02444416). The cohort consists of consecutive patients admitted to the Department of Medicine with ADHF. Eligibility for sacubitril-valsartan was determined using criteria described in PIONEER-HF, including left ventricular ejection fraction, clinical parameters, and co-morbidities. Of 799 patients, 123 (15.39%) were eligible for sacubitril-valsartan treatment. Clinical outcomes including all-cause mortality and readmission were similar in eligible and non-eligible groups, hazard ratio 1.02 (95% confidence interval 0.81-1.29, P = 083). CONCLUSIONS Using current criteria from randomized controlled trials, only 15% of non-selected patients admitted for ADHF are theoretically eligible for sacubitril-valsartan. Eligibility for sacubitril-valsartan using published criteria is not associated with worse outcome, suggesting that further evaluation of benefits of sacubitril-valsartan in heart failure patients based on parameters other than left ventricular ejection fraction may be of interest. © 2020 The Authors. A live attenuated vaccine (LAV) and glycoprotein E (gE) subunit vaccine were developed to prevent VZV-induced diseases. We recently reported that single-strand RNA (ssRNA) based on the intergenic region of the internal ribosome entry site of cricket paralysis virus (CrPV) is an effective adjuvant for protein-based and virus-like particle-based vaccines. Here, Chinese hamster ovary expression system and an LAV from Oka/SK strains. METHODS We appraised the adjuvant effect of the same CrPV ssRNA encoding the gE gene formulated in the two vaccines using VZV-primed C57BL/6 **** and guinea pigs. Humoral immunity and cell-mediated immunity were assessed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and ELISPOT in gE subunit vaccine and by ELISA and fluorescent antibody to membrane antigen in LAV. RESULTS The gE subunit vaccine-induced gE-specific antibodies and CD4+ T-cell responses (indicated by interferon-γ [IFN-γ] and interleukin-2 secretion) in the ssRNA-based adjuvant containing the VZV gE gene. Therefore, an ssRNA adjuvant combined with gE antigen can trigger the innate immune response and induce an adaptive immune response to ultimately activate humoral and cell-mediated responses. VZV LAV could also induce VZV-specific antibodies and IFN-γ stimulated by LAV, whereas the effect of ssRNA as a vaccine adjuvant could not be confirmed. However, the ssRNA adjuvant increased VZV-specific neutralizing antibody response. CONCLUSIONS Taken together, these results highlight that the gE subunit vaccine and LAV developed in this study can be functional VZV vaccines, and ssRNAs appear to function better as adjuvants in a subunit vaccine than in an LAV. © 2020 The Authors. The aim of this study was to evaluate eligibility for sacubitril-valsartan using criteria described in PIONNER-HF in non-selected patients hospitalized for ADHF. METHODS AND RESULTS Between November 2014 and May 2019, 799 patients were recruited in a prospective registry of acute heart failure at the University Hospitals of Geneva (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT02444416). The cohort consists of consecutive patients admitted to the Department of Medicine with ADHF. Eligibility for sacubitril-valsartan was determined using criteria described in PIONEER-HF, including left ventricular ejection fraction, clinical parameters, and co-morbidities. Of 799 patients, 123 (15.39%) were eligible for sacubitril-valsartan treatment. Clinical outcomes including all-cause mortality and readmission were similar in eligible and non-eligible groups, hazard ratio 1.02 (95% confidence interval 0.81-1.29, P = 083). CONCLUSIONS Using current criteria from randomized controlled trials, only 15% of non-selected patients admitted for ADHF are theoretically eligible for sacubitril-valsartan. Eligibility for sacubitril-valsartan using published criteria is not associated with worse outcome, suggesting that further evaluation of benefits of sacubitril-valsartan in heart failure patients based on parameters other than left ventricular ejection fraction may be of interest. © 2020 The Authors. We recently reported that single-strand RNA (ssRNA) based on the intergenic region of the internal ribosome entry site of cricket paralysis virus (CrPV) is an effective adjuvant for protein-based and virus-like particle-based vaccines. Here, Chinese hamster ovary expression system and an LAV from Oka/SK strains. METHODS We appraised the adjuvant effect of the same CrPV ssRNA encoding the gE gene formulated in the two vaccines using VZV-primed C57BL/6 mice and guinea pigs. Humoral immunity and cell-mediated immunity were assessed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and ELISPOT in gE subunit vaccine and by ELISA and fluorescent antibody to membrane antigen in LAV. RESULTS The gE subunit vaccine-induced gE-specific antibodies and CD4+ T-cell responses (indicated by interferon-γ [IFN-γ] and interleukin-2 secretion) in the ssRNA-based adjuvant containing the VZV gE gene. Therefore, an ssRNA adjuvant combined with gE antigen can trigger the innate immune response and induce an adaptive immune response to ultimately activate humoral and cell-mediated responses. VZV LAV could also induce VZV-specific antibodies and IFN-γ stimulated by LAV, whereas the effect of ssRNA as a vaccine adjuvant could not be confirmed. However, the ssRNA adjuvant increased VZV-specific neutralizing antibody response. CONCLUSIONS Taken together, these results highlight that the gE subunit vaccine and LAV developed in this study can be functional VZV vaccines, and ssRNAs appear to function better as adjuvants in a subunit vaccine than in an LAV. © 2020 The Authors. She became quadriplegic with bulbar palsy and was intellectually handicapped after a measles infection at age 7. Tube feeding was introduced because of dysphagia at age 15. Noninvasive positive pressure ventilation was required due to central hypoventilation in her early thirties. She died of neurogenic respiratory failure at 39 years. Autopsy findings revealed a markedly atrophic brain (709 g, -6.0 standard deviation), especially in the frontal lobe, cerebellum, and brainstem portions. We found demyelination, gliosis, and cystic lesions throughout the brain, and we saw Rosenthal fibers accumulating in the perivascular spaces. We also identified a variety of abnormalities in other organs such as pancreatic necrosis, completely desquamated epithelium in the lower esophagus and stomach, foreign-body giant cells in the colon submucosa, glomerular sclerosis, and multiple bladder stones. METHODS Sleep quality and medication were assessed using the sleeping questionnaire for children with neurological and other complex diseases (SNAKE). Behavioral disorders were assessed by the Rett Syndrome Behavior Questionnaire (RSBQ). Questionnaires were sent to the 700 members of the Elternhilfe für Kinder mit Rett Syndrom in Deutschland e.V. (Rett Aid) of which 287 were included. Questionnaires were filled out by the primary caregivers. RESULTS Sleep quality was rated as very good to good by over 60% of caregivers in contrast to data available in the literature. Behavioral disorders related to regression such as loss of acquired hand skills (p = 0.046) and isolation (p = 0.002) were found to be associated with sleep quality. Melatonin showed a significant association (p = 0.007) with sleep quality. CONCLUSION Our study showed sleep dysfunction to be less prevalent in RTT-affected individuals than evidence from past studies has suggested. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES Standardized assessments were conducted. Peabody Developmental Motor Scales-2 (PDMS-2), Gross Motor Function Measure-66, Pediatric Motor Activity Log (PMAL), and Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Inventory were measured pre- and postintervention. Children who agreed to participate in the accelerometer study additionally wore accelerometers on both their wrists for 3 days before and after the intervention. RESULTS The mCIMT group exhibited greater improvement in PMAL-how often (p = 0.048; ηp2 = 0.173), PMAL-how well (p = 0.008; ηp2 = 0.289), and PDMS-2 visual motor integration (p = 0.014; ηp2 = 0.256) posttreatment than the control group. This study aimed to analyze the outcomes in patients undergoing immediate, intermediate, and delayed repair of BDI.
We retrospectively analyzed 412 patients with BDI from March 2015 to January 2020. The patients were divided into three groups based on the time of BDI reconstruction. Group 1 underwent an immediate reconstruction (within the first 72 hours post-cholecystectomy, n=156); group 2 underwent an intermediate reconstruction (from 4 days to 6 weeks post-cholecystectomy, n=75), and group 3 underwent delayed reconstruction (after 6 weeks post-cholecystectomy, n=181).
Patients in group 2 had significantly more early complications including anastomotic leakage and intra-abdominal collection and late complications including anastomotic stricture and secondary liver cirrhosis compared with groups 1 and 3. Favorandent factors of a favorable outcome.

Serum microRNA expression profiles (miRNA-29a, miRNA-200, miRNA-335 and miRNA-21) were analysed in 137 patients with HCC and liver cirrhosis and 49 healthy subjects (used as negative controls) using real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), as a routine tumour marker, was also assessed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
The expression levels of miRNA-21, miRNA-335 and miRNA-200 were significantly up-regulated, whereas those of miRNA-29a were remarkably down-regulated in patients with HCC compared with those in healthy subjects. miRNA-200 had the most elevated area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) among single miRNAs used to predict HCC occurrence (AUC = 0.72). The highest discriminatory power was recorded using a panel based on the combination of four miRNAs, miRNA-200, miRNA-29a, miRNA-21 and miRNA-355, and AFP levels (AUC = 0.92). The four-miRNA panel combined with AFP levels exhibited high accuracy in predicting HCC with small tumour sizes of <2 cm (AUC = 0.90) and ≥2 cm (AUC = 0.93). The combination of the four-miRNA panel and AFP resulted in an AUC value of 0.83 for single lesions, which was lesser than that recorded for ≥2 lesions (AUC = 0.94, 0.95, respectively).

Opioid use disorder (OUD) is a major public health issue in the United States. Medications for OUD (MOUD), which combines the use of approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies, represents an evidence-based approach to treat individuals living with an OUD. However, MOUD has not kept up with increased demand and new treatment approaches are needed. One approach is injectable naltrexone, an approved and effective MOUD treatment, provided by pharmacists, who are more geographically accessible and have legal authority to administer it in some states.
To explore how different community pharmacists provide injectable naltrexone treatment and identify best practices.
An exploratory sequential mixed-methods design was used to investigate pharmacy-based naltrexone injection practices, involving a pharmacist questionnaire and interviews with pharmacists, prescribers, and community stakeholders. An inductive/iterative content analysis approach, guided by an initial straw model, was used to identi could inform the development and evaluation of an intervention based on these best practices to further explore the utility of community pharmacy-based naltrexone injection services.
The study demonstrates how community pharmacies developed and implemented a naltrexone injection service. Pharmacists' and prescribers' feedback clearly suggests an untapped interest, as well as resources, in realizing pharmacists' roles as providers of injectable naltrexone treatment. Lipids have long been recognized as contributors to the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of DM and its complications, but recent discoveries have highlighted ceramides, a class of bioactive sphingolipids with cell signaling and second messenger capabilities, as particularly important contributors to insulin resistance and the underlying mechanisms of DM complications. Besides their association with insulin resistance and pathophysiology of type 2 diabetes, evidence is emerging that certain species of ceramides are mediators of cellular mechanisms involved in the initiation and progression of microvascular and macrovascular complications of DM. Advances in our understanding of these associations provide unique opportunities for exploring ceramide species as potential novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers. This review discusses the links between ceramides and the pathogenesis of DM and diabetic complications and identifies opportunities for novel discoveries and applications.

Serum microRNA expression profiles (miRNA-29a, miRNA-200, miRNA-335 and miRNA-21) were analysed in 137 patients with HCC and liver cirrhosis and 49 healthy subjects (used as negative controls) using real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), as a routine tumour marker, was also assessed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The expression levels of miRNA-21, miRNA-335 and miRNA-200 were significantly up-regulated, whereas those of miRNA-29a were remarkably down-regulated in patients with HCC compared with those in healthy subjects. miRNA-200 had the most elevated area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) among single miRNAs used to predict HCC occurrence (AUC = 0.72). The highest discriminatory power was recorded using a panel based on the combination of four miRNAs, miRNA-200, miRNA-29a, miRNA-21 and miRNA-355, and AFP levels (AUC = 0.92). The four-miRNA panel combined with AFP levels exhibited high accuracy in predicting HCC with small tumour sizes of <2 cm (AUC = 0.90) and ≥2 cm (AUC = 0.93). Medications for OUD (MOUD), which combines the use of approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies, represents an evidence-based approach to treat individuals living with an OUD. However, MOUD has not kept up with increased demand and new treatment approaches are needed. One approach is injectable naltrexone, an approved and effective MOUD treatment, provided by pharmacists, who are more geographically accessible and have legal authority to administer it in some states. To explore how different community pharmacists provide injectable naltrexone treatment and identify best practices. An exploratory sequential mixed-methods design was used to investigate pharmacy-based naltrexone injection practices, involving a pharmacist questionnaire and interviews with pharmacists, prescribers, and community stakeholders. An inductive/iterative content analysis approach, guided by an initial straw model, was used to identi could inform the development and evaluation of an intervention based on these best practices to further explore the utility of community pharmacy-based naltrexone injection services. This pairing can be facilitated by traditional conferences and newer modalities such as telemedicine and training applications. Peer support to patients, such as that offered through the NKF Peers Program, and support and respite to care partners can have beneficial effects toward both increasing the number of patients who choose home dialysis as a modality and improving retention in home dialysis programs. We therefore examined isoprene emission in leaves of Oxford poplar clone exposed to O3 (ambient, AA [35.0 nmol mol-1 as daily mean]; 1.5 × AA; 2.0 × AA), soil N (0 and 80 kg N ha-1) and soil P (0, 40 and 80 kg P ha-1) in July and September in a Free-Air Controlled Exposure (FACE) facility. We also investigated the response of isoprene emission to foliar N, P and abscisic acid (ABA) contents in September because the 2-C-methylerythritol-5-phosphate (MEP) pathway of isoprenoid biosynthesis produces ABA. We found that O3 increased isoprene emission in July, which was associated to increased dark respiration, suggesting an activation of metabolism against O3 stress as an initial response. However, O3 decreased isoprene emission in September which was associated to reduced net photosynthesis. In September, isoprene emission was positively correlated with leaf N content and negatively correlated with leaf P content in AA. However, no response of isoprene emission to foliar N and P was found in elevated O3, suggesting that the isoprene responses to foliar N and P depended on the O3 exposure levels. Isoprene emission rate in 1.5 × AA and 2.0 × AA increased with increasing leaf ABA content, indicating accelerated senescence of injured leaves to favor new leaf growth when high O3 and nutritional availability in the soil were combined. Even though foliar N and P usually act as a proxy for isoprene emission rate, the impact of recent abiotic factors such as O3 should be always considered for modeling isoprene emission under climate change.Manganese oxides (MnOx) and Mn2+ usually co-exist in the natural environment, as well as in water treatments for Mn2+ removal. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the influence of Mn2+ on the stability of MnOx nanoparticles, as it is vital to their fate and reactivity. In this study, we used the time-resolved dynamic light scattering technique to study the influence of Mn2+ on the initial aggregation kinetics of MnOx nanoparticles. The results show that Mn2+ was highly efficient in destabilizing MnOx nanoparticles. The critical coagulation concentration ratio of Mn2+ (0.3 mM) to Na+ (30 mM) was 2-6.64, which is beyond the ratio range indicated by the Schulze-Hardy rule. This is due to the coordination bond formed between Mn2+ and the surface O of MnOx, which could efficiently decrease the negative surface charge of MnOx. As a result, in the co-presence of Mn2+ and Na+, a small amount of Mn2+ (5 μM) could efficiently neutralize the negative charge of MnOx, thereby decreasing the amount of Na+, which mainly destabilized nanoparticles through electric double-layer compression, required to initiate aggregation.0 Commenti 0 condivisioni 13 Views 0 Anteprima
