Further studies to evaluate optimal gastric pH, the role of gastric bacteria in causing aspiration pneumonia, and the optimal empiric therapy for aspiration pneumonia are recommended.Phenomenon Patient aggression directed toward medical personnel, including medical school students during their internships, is an increasingly important issue. To minimize this phenomenon, violence management training programs were carried out. Approach To assess the efficacy of a violence management training program among medical school students and evaluate changes in the perception of aggressive behavior in relation to the participants' sense of self-efficacy and self-confidence by sex. A quasi-experimental examination of medical school students was performed before and after completion of a training program. Two hundred seventy-six students, including students of medicine, nursing, emergency medical services, and physiotherapy, participated in the study. Three standardized questionnaires were used The Perception of Aggression Scale (POAS), the Hope for Success Questionnaire (HSQ), and the General Self -Efficacy Scale (GSES). Findings The training program had a positive impact on the sense of self-efficacy in both men and women. However, the perception of aggressive behavior changed only in women and the impact of such intervention was higher for women. (2) Methods We examined the correlation between HIF-1α, metadherin (MTDH), and interleukin (IL)-10 mRNA expression, as well as their expression patterns in the prognosis of breast cancer using the Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA) databases via a web interface; tissue microarrays (TMAs) were stained for MTDH and IL-10 protein expression using immunohistochemistry. (3) Results HIF-1α, MTDH, and IL-10 mRNA expression are highly correlated and strongly associated with poor prognosis. MTDH and IL-10 protein expression of breast cancer patients usually harbored negative estrogen receptor (ER) or progesterone receptor (PR) status, and late-stage tumors have higher IL-10 expression. With regard to MTDH and IL-10 protein expression status for using univariate and multivariate analysis, the results showed that the protein expression of MTDH and IL-10 in ER-negative or PR-negative breast cancer patients have the worse prognosis. (4) Conclusions we propose a new insight into hypoxia tumors in the metabolism and immune evidence for breast cancer therapy.Recently, one-dimensional (1D) nanostructures have attracted the scientific community attention as sensitive materials for conductometric chemical sensors. However, finding facile and low-cost techniques for their production, controlling the morphology and the aspect ratio of these nanostructures is still challenging. In this study, we report the vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) synthesis of one dimensional (1D) zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods (NRs) and nanowires (NWs) by using different metal catalysts and their impact on the performances of conductometric chemical sensors. In VLS mechanism, catalysts are of great interest due to their role in the nucleation and the crystallization of 1D nanostructures. Here, Au, Pt, Ag and Cu nanoparticles (NPs) were used to grow 1D ZnO. Depending on catalyst nature, different morphology, geometry, size and nanowires/nanorods abundance were established. The mechanism leading to the VLS growth of 1D ZnO nanostructures and the transition from nanorods to nanowires have been interpreted. The formation of ZnO crystals exhibiting a hexagonal crystal structure was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and ZnO composition was identified using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) mapping. The chemical sensing characteristics showed that 1D ZnO has good and fast response, good stability and selectivity. ZnO (Au) showed the best performances towards hydrogen (H2). At the optimal working temperature of 350 °C, the measured response towards 500 ppm of H2 was 300 for ZnO NWs and 50 for ZnO NRs. The quantification of KA yield was carried out by employing a validated densitometric high performance thin layer chromatography in connection with ultraviolet detection (HPTLC-VIS). The obtained data showed that the quadratic polynomial model (R2 = 0.98) was the most appropriate. The optimized ultrasonic extraction yielded 94.7 ng/spot of KA when using methanol (79.99%) at 60 °C for 5 min. When using toluene-ethyl acetate-formic acid (70301 v/v/v) as a solvent, KA was detected in basil leaves at an Retention factor (Rf) value of 0.26 at 330 nm. Notably, the analytical method was successfully validated with a linear regression of R2 = 0.99, which reflected a good linear relationship. The developed HPTLC-VIS method in this study was precise, accurate, and robust due to the lower obtained results from both the percent relative standard deviation (%RSD) and SEM of the O. basilicum. The antioxidant activity of KA (half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) = 0.68 μg/mL) was higher than that of the reference ascorbic acid (IC50 = 0.79 μg/mL) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) (IC50 = 0.88 μg/mL). The development of economical and efficient techniques is very important for the extraction and quantification of important pharmaceutical compounds such as KA.

Of the 535 de-duplicated articles examined by two independent reviewers, there were no eligible empirical studies that assessed the association beerve to elucidate research, practice, and policy opportunities to reduce preventable severe maternal morbidity in high-income countries.
As the first known systematic review of its kind, this 'empty review' provides evidence of a lacking body of literature on the association between nurse work environment, as a modifiable organizational characteristic and preventable severe maternal morbidity in high-income countries. This article provides a call to action in the form of five recommendations for future nursing research and practice, which could serve to elucidate research, practice, and policy opportunities to reduce preventable severe maternal morbidity in high-income countries.
To explore older individuals' experienced masticatory ability and the impact of masticatory ability in daily life.
This study applied an open-ended exploratory approach using inductive reasoning. The design was inspired by the qualitative method grounded theory. The final sample consisted of twelve older participants. Seven were men, and five were women. The interviews were audio-recorded and transcribed verbatim. The interviewer successively read the transcribed data and analysed the material in cooperation with the authors.
Three categories developed from the data; Deteriorating oral health and functional loss, Eating habits, Prosthetic rehabilitation and function. A core category named Adaptation emerged. Adaptation describes how individuals successfully could adapt to a decreased function and in spite of this develop a positive view of their masticatory ability.
The participants described an experience of gradually deteriorating oral function that had affected their masticatory ability. By adaptinabits. Future research should therefore focus on how dental treatment can be combined with other interventions, such as dietary counselling and physiotherapy to recover physiological function.The H-NS-like proteins MvaT and MvaU act coordinately as global repressors in Pseudomonas aeruginosa by binding to AT-rich regions of the chromosome. Although cells can tolerate loss of either protein, identifying their combined regulatory effects has been challenging because the loss of both proteins is lethal due to induction of prophage Pf4 and subsequent superinfection of the cell. In other bacteria, H-NS promotes the cellular fitness by inhibiting intragenic transcription from AT-rich target regions, preventing them from sequestering RNA polymerase; however, it is not known whether MvaT and MvaU function similarly. Here, we utilize a parental strain that cannot be infected by Pf4 phage to define the collective MvaT and MvaU regulon and demonstrate that the combined loss of both MvaT and MvaU leads to increased intragenic transcription from loci directly controlled by these proteins. We further show that the loss of MvaT and MvaU leads to a striking redistribution of RNA polymerase containing σ70 to genomic regions vacated by these proteins. Our findings suggest that the ability of H-NS-like proteins to repress intragenic transcription is a universal function of these proteins and point to a second mechanism by which MvaT and MvaU may contribute to the growth of P. aeruginosa.[Cu(phen)2 ]2+ (phen=1,10-phenanthroline) is the first and still one of the most efficient artificial nucleases. In general, when the phen ligand is modified, the nucleolytic activity of its CuII complex is significantly reduced. This is most likely due to higher steric bulk of such ligands and thus lower affinity to DNA. CuII complexes with phen ligands having fluorinated substituents (F, CF3 , SF5 , SCF3 ) surprisingly showed excellent DNA cleavage activity-in contrast to the unsubstituted [Cu(phen)2 ]2+ -in the absence of the otherwise required classical, bioabundant external reducing agents like thiols or ascorbate. This nucleolytic activity correlates well with the half-wave potentials E1/2 of the complexes. Cancer cell studies show cytotoxic effects of all complexes with fluorinated ligands in the low μm range, whereas they were less toxic towards healthy cells (fibroblasts).

The metasynthesis approach was based on the guidelines by Sandelowski and Barroso for synthesizing qualitative research.
Seven electronic databases CINAHL, Medline, Embase, PsycINFO, Web of Science, Scopus, and SocIndex were searched on 6-10 February 2020.
Studies were critically appraised using the Joanna Briggs critical appraisal tool. Qualitative data were extracted, meta-summarised, then meta-synthesized.
Nineteen qualitative studies were included in this review. Six themes illustrated experiences in the transition to adulthood wishing for an 'ordinary' life, significance of close network, working towards independence, in need of systemic resources and services, psychosocial challenges and keeping a positive attitude.
Young people with long-term health challenges wished for as 'ordinary' a life as possible in the future. In the transition to adulthood, they gradually gained more competence in self-management skills and knowledge and strived to become more independent.

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the delivery of healthcare services, including oncology. To ensure continuity of cancer genetic counseling at a large academic medical center while also promoting the safety of patients and staff, our team transitioned to fully remote telephone genetic counseling and testing services within 48 hr. We compare differences in the six weeks following the shift to telephone genetic counseling (post-COVID) to the six weeks preceding the pandemic (pre-COVID). We maintained 99% of our total visit capacity and saw a decrease in patient no-show rate from 9.5% to 7.3%. Of all patients who received telephone genetic counseling, fewer consented to genetic testing as compared to patients seen in-person prior to the pandemic (79% pre-COVID v. 72% post-COVID; p = .012). Four weeks after this cohort was closed for analysis, 96 out of 303 samples (32%) had not been received by the genetic testing laboratory, despite at least one reminder phone call to the patient. In 13 reported instances, a second sample was required (quality not sufficient, lost or mislabeled sample), thus delaying test results. We conclude that a rapid transition to remote genetic counseling and testing allowed uninterrupted access to cancer genetics services during to the COVID-19 pandemic. Patient compliance with sample return and higher rates of sample failure emerge as potential barriers to timely genetic testing under this service delivery model.Data regarding the risk for severe COVID19 in patients with autoimmune or inflammatory diseases are scarce. To estimate the risk of those patients to develop a more severe COVID19 infection All active patients and those with dermatologic and/or rheumatologic autoimmune/inflammatory diseases were identified in a single tertiary center. The charts of those tested positive for COVID19 between 1 March 2020 and 31 May 2020 reviewed including demographics, co-morbidities, and medications. Patients with autoimmune/inflammatory diseases seem not to develop a more severe COVID19 infection than controls.
We performed an assessment to understand perceived decisional needs among those living with sickle cell disease. Additionally, we desired understanding of their preferred methods and quality of learning and sought guidance in development of a web-based patient decision aid.
The purpose of this qualitative study was to determine ways patients and caregivers receive education about sickle cell disease and available therapies. We sought to understand preferences for education, quality of current knowledge and information they would like to obtain.
Recruitment for the initial needs assessment occurred between October 2013 -April 2014. Further recruitment for clarification of internet-based searches occurred between January 2015 -September 2016. We conducted a total of 201 semi-structured qualitative interviews with patients and caregivers.
Six themes emerged healthcare provider education is good but does not meet all the learning needs of the patient/caregiver; patients/caregivers feel a strong desire to re motivated by a desire to improve QOL in seeking treatment options and use many methods to seek education to supplement what they learn from their healthcare providers and may benefit from the use of a web-based decision aid. Impact Educational needs of patients/caregivers with sickle cell disease were identified and provide the basis to inform the design of educational strategies for them. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the delivery of healthcare services, including oncology. To ensure continuity of cancer genetic counseling at a large academic medical center while also promoting the safety of patients and staff, our team transitioned to fully remote telephone genetic counseling and testing services within 48 hr. We compare differences in the six weeks following the shift to telephone genetic counseling (post-COVID) to the six weeks preceding the pandemic (pre-COVID). We maintained 99% of our total visit capacity and saw a decrease in patient no-show rate from 9.5% to 7.3%. Of all patients who received telephone genetic counseling, fewer consented to genetic testing as compared to patients seen in-person prior to the pandemic (79% pre-COVID v. 72% post-COVID; p = .012). Four weeks after this cohort was closed for analysis, 96 out of 303 samples (32%) had not been received by the genetic testing laboratory, despite at least one reminder phone call to the patient. In 13 reported instances, a second sample was required (quality not sufficient, lost or mislabeled sample), thus delaying test results. We conclude that a rapid transition to remote genetic counseling and testing allowed uninterrupted access to cancer genetics services during to the COVID-19 pandemic. Patient compliance with sample return and higher rates of sample failure emerge as potential barriers to timely genetic testing under this service delivery model.Data regarding the risk for severe COVID19 in patients with autoimmune or inflammatory diseases are scarce. Additionally, we desired understanding of their preferred methods and quality of learning and sought guidance in development of a web-based patient decision aid. We sought to understand preferences for education, quality of current knowledge and information they would like to obtain. Recruitment for the initial needs assessment occurred between October 2013 -April 2014. Further recruitment for clarification of internet-based searches occurred between January 2015 -September 2016. We conducted a total of 201 semi-structured qualitative interviews with patients and caregivers. As an edible and medicinal herb in Chinese folk medicine, Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinskaja leaves are traditionally widely used in the treatment of metabolic disorders. The vegetable Momordica charantia L. has been consumed worldwide for thousands of years as a traditional drug due to its activities against obesity and diabetes. In view of the therapeutic value of Momordica saponins (MSs) and C. paliurus polysaccharides (CPPs), an independently developed MSs- and CPPs-containing beverage (**) was evaluated for its efficacy in controlling oxidative stress and obesity in Caenorhabditis elegans.
First, we found that ** could promote the nuclear localization of DAF-16 and the translation of ***-3. Further exploring its antioxidant properties, the oxidative stress by-products reactive oxygen species, malondialdehyde, and nonesterified fatty acids were significantly inhibited in C. elegans. Moreover, damage due to diseases related to oxidative stress (age pigments and neurodegenerative diseases) was alleviated. Furthermore, fat accumulation was significantly reduced in normal and high-fat models. Finally, the lipid-lowering effects of ** might involve reductions in the size and number of lipid droplets without impairing basic physiological functions in C. elegans.

The McNemar's test was used to assess the association between HEV seropositivity and the occupation of waste picker. The association between HEV seropositivity and work characteristics of waste pickers was assessed by bivariate and logistic regression analyses. Anti-HEV IgG antibodies were detected in 14 (16.3%) of the 86 waste pickers and in 8 (9.3%) of the 86 control subjects (McNemar's pair test odds ratio (OR) = 13.0; 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.73-230.77; p = .02). Bivariate analysis showed that HEV exposure was associated with an ill status (p = .01) and reflexes impairment (p = .009). Logistic regression analysis showed that HEV seropositivity was associated with increasing age (OR = 6.52; 95% CI 1.95-21.78; p = .002) and raising pigs (OR = 12.01; 95% CI 1.48-97.26; p = .02). This is the first age- and gender-matched case-control study on the association between HEV infection and the occupation of waste picker. Waste pickers represent a risk group for HEV infection. Psychological capital emerged as a strong explanatory mechanism for the phenomenon. Drawing on spillover theory, public health education seems to reduce fear of COVID-19 with the mediating role of psychological capital. Limitations and future directions are at the end of this paper. The study outcomes revealed that organizations should focus on educating nursing staff to overcome fear of COVID-19. We compared these **** with vehicle-treated control **** and diabetic **** not receiving minocycline treatment. On day 34, depression-like behavior was investigated using the forced swim test.

Transcatheter pulmonary artery denervation (PADN) has been developed for the correction of pulmonary hypertension. We investigated pulmonary artery stimulation mapping and its role in PADN procedures. Artery stimulation was performed in 17 Landrace pigs. Low-frequency stimulation defined areas of ventricular and atrial capture. High-frequency stimulation evoked the following responses sinus rhythm slowing and/or atrial rhythm acceleration in 59% of animals, phrenic nerve capture in 100%, and laryngeal recurrent nerve capture in 23%. The sites with evoked heart rate responses were marked by discrete radiofrequency ablations (RFA). An autopsy showed nerves in the adventitia and perivascular fat under the RFA sites, and the lack of muscarinic-1, tyrosine hydroxylase, and dopamine-5 receptors' expression. During PADN, areas adjacent to the course of phrenic and recurrent laryngeal nerves should be avoided. Preoperative prediction of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) gusher is important for stapes surgery. According to the current opinion settled among otologists and radiologists, the issues of whether enlarged cochlear aqueduct might be a cause of CSF gusher in stapes surgery and which segment of the aqueduct should be taken into account to diagnose enlarged cochlear aqueduct in computerized tomography (CT) are controversial. The case we encountered led us to hypothesize that enlarged cochlear aqueduct might cause CSF gusher in stapes surgery and that shape and diameter of medial aperture of the cochlear aqueduct are important in this prediction.
Enlarged medial aperture of the cochlear aqueduct with a shape differed from that of the other side was retrospectively diagnosed in thin-slice CT in a patient who had been undergone middle ear and stapes surgery for conductive hearing loss. This finding went unnoticed in preoperative CT. In the small fenestra stapedotomy operation, CSF gusher occurred through opening in tese findings have to change the otologists' and radiologists' perspective to the cochlear aqueduct. It can be deduced that difference in shapes of the medial aperture in both sides might be an indicator of potential CSF gusher.Here we report a rare case of pseudoaneurysm at the site of aortic coarctation. Aortic coarctation and a saccular aortic aneurysm protruding from the site of this coarctation were detected in a 50-year-old woman. Owing to the shape of the aneurysm and high risk of rupture, an open surgical repair was performed. The pathological findings of the removed aneurysm revealed a pseudoaneurysm consisting of only a thin adventitial wall. Adult uncorrected aortic coarctation has a poor prognosis. One of its causes may be the formation of such a pseudoaneurysm.
This study aimed to analyze the diversity of intestinal flora in patients with chronic hepatitisB (CHB) and investigate the effect of entecavir on the intestinal flora in these patients.
Thirty patients with CHB and 30 healthy controls were recruited from the Department of Infectious Diseases and Department of Gastroenterology of Shanghai Tongji Hospital between January 2017 and December 2018. Stool samples were collected for the detection of intestinal flora by high-throughput sequencing. Patients with CHB received antivirus therapy with entecavir for 8weeks. The biochemical and virological responses were assessed and the intestinal flora were compared.
After entecavir treatment, the blood levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), interleukin-6 (IL-6), IL-8, tumor necrosis factor (TNF), and hepatitisB virus (HBV) DNA reduced significantly in patients with CHB and the species abundance of intestinal flora increased markedly. In patients with CHB, the unique genera included Butyrivibrio, Phaseolus acutifnique genera in patients with CHB before and after treatment.
Gender incongruence is defined as disharmony between assigned gender and gender identity. Several interventions are liable in this case including genital affirming surgery among other surgical interventions such as harmonization, and also the use of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists (GnRHa) for gonadal shielding. Eleven studies were included. The use of GnRHa seems to be well tolerated by the studied population. When started in pubertal transition, it was associated with a more distinct resemblance to body shape than to the affirmed sex. In addition to preventing the irreversible phenotypic changes that occur in cross-hormonal therapy, the use of GnRHa can equally contribute to the mental health of these adolescents.
There are few consistent studies on the use of GnRHa for gender incongruence.

Aortic coarctation and a saccular aortic aneurysm protruding from the site of this coarctation were detected in a 50-year-old woman. Owing to the shape of the aneurysm and high risk of rupture, an open surgical repair was performed. The pathological findings of the removed aneurysm revealed a pseudoaneurysm consisting of only a thin adventitial wall. Adult uncorrected aortic coarctation has a poor prognosis. One of its causes may be the formation of such a pseudoaneurysm. This study aimed to analyze the diversity of intestinal flora in patients with chronic hepatitisB (CHB) and investigate the effect of entecavir on the intestinal flora in these patients. Thirty patients with CHB and 30 healthy controls were recruited from the Department of Infectious Diseases and Department of Gastroenterology of Shanghai Tongji Hospital between January 2017 and December 2018. Stool samples were collected for the detection of intestinal flora by high-throughput sequencing. Patients with CHB received antivirus therapy with entecavir for 8weeks. The biochemical and virological responses were assessed and the intestinal flora were compared. The use of GnRHa seems to be well tolerated by the studied population. When started in pubertal transition, it was associated with a more distinct resemblance to body shape than to the affirmed sex. Global climate change and the industrial revolution have increased the concentration of tropospheric ozone, a photochemical air pollutant that can negatively affect plant growth and crop production. In the present study, we investigated the effects of O3 on the metabolites and transcripts of tartary buckwheat. A total of 36 metabolites were identified by gas chromatography coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry, and principal component analysis was performed to verify the metabolic differences between nontreated and O3-treated tartary buckwheat. The content of threonic acid increased after 2 days of the O3 treatment, whereas it decreased after 4 days of exposure, after which it gradually increased until the eighth day of exposure. In addition, the levels of most metabolites decreased significantly after the O3 treatment. On the contrary, the levels of two anthocyanins, cyanidin-3-O-glucoside and cyanidin-3-O-rutinoside, increased more than 11.36- and 11.43-fold, respectively, after the O3 treatment. To assess the effect of O3 on the genomic level, we analyzed the expression of anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway genes in O3-treated and nontreated buckwheat using quantitative real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (PCR). We found that the expression of all anthocyanin pathway genes increased significantly in the O3-treated buckwheat compared to that in the nontreated buckwheat. The drug alone, when subjected to AUC, exhibited a very narrow sedimentation peak at 0.2 Svedberg (S), in agreement with the expectation for a monomeric drug with a molar mass less then 1000 Dalton. Conversely, the neat polymers showed broad profiles with higher sedimentation coefficients, reflecting their larger more heterogeneous size distributions. The sedimentation profiles of the drug-polymer mixtures were expectedly different from the profile of the neat drug. With KTZ-Soluplus, a complete shift to faster sedimentation times (indicative of an interaction) was observed, while with KTZ-PAA, a split peak indicated the existence of the drug in both free and interacting states. The sedimentation profile of carbamazepine, a second model drug, in the presence of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose acetate succinate (HPMCAS, another polymer) revealed multiple "populations" of drug-polymer species, very similar to the sedimentation profile of neat HPMCAS. The interactions probed by AUC were compared with the results from isothermal titration calorimetry. In vitro dissolution tests performed on amorphous solid dispersions prepared with the same drug-polymer pairs suggested that the interactions may play a role in prolonging drug supersaturation. Iodinated contrast media (ICM) could be more appropriately dosed on patient lean body weight (LBW) than on total body weight (TBW).
After Ethics Committee approval, trial registration NCT03384979, patients aged ≥ 18years scheduled for multiphasic abdominal CT were randomised for ICM dose to LBW group (0.63gI/kg of LBW) or TBWgroup (0.44gI/kg of TBW). Abdominal 64-row CT was performed using 120kVp, 100-200mAs, rotation time 0.5s, pitch 1, Iopamidol (370mgI/mL), and flow rate 3mL/s. Levene, Mann-Whitney U, and χ
tests were used. The primary endpoint was liver contrast enhancement (LCE).
Of 335 enrolled patients, 17 were screening failures; 44 dropped out after randomisation; 274 patients were analysed (133 LBWgroup, 141 TBWgroup). The median age of LBWgroup (66years) was slightly lower than that of TBWgroup (70years). Although the median ICM-injected volume was comparable between groups, its variability was larger in the former (interquartile range 27mL versus 21mL, p = 0.01). The same was for unenhanced liver density (IQR 10 versus 7 HU) (p = 0.02). Median LCE was 40 (35-46) HU in the LBW group and 40 (35-44) HU in the TBW group, without significant difference for median (p = 0.41) and variability (p = 0.23). Suboptimal LCE (< 40 HU) was found in 64/133 (48%) patients in the LBW group and 69/141 (49%) in the TBW group, but no examination needed repeating.

, linking these two important parameters.
In this pilot study, we analyzed 1923 patients with diverse cancers and available TMB values. Overall, 273 patients met our eligibility criteria in that they had no systemic treatment prior to imaging/biopsy, and also had 2-[
F]FDG PET/CT within 6months prior to the tissue biopsy, to ensure acceptable temporal correlation between imaging and genomic evaluation.
We found a linear correlation between TMB and SUV
(p < 0.001). In the multivariate analysis, only TMB independently correlated with SUV

There has been a recent explosion of research into the field of artificial intelligence as applied to clinical radiology with the advent of highly accurate computer vision technology. These studies, however, vary significantly in design and quality. While recent guidelines have been established to advise on ethics, data management and the potential directions of future research, systematic reviews of the entire field are lacking. We aim to investigate the use of artificial intelligence as applied to radiology, to identify the clinical questions being asked, which methodological approaches are applied to these questions and trends in use over time.
We will follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines and by the Cochrane Collaboration Handbook. We will perform a literature search through MEDLINE (Pubmed), and EMBASE, a detailed data extraction of trial characteristics and a narrative synthesis of the data. There will be no language restrictions. We will take a task-centred approach rather than focusing on modality or clinical subspecialty. Sub-group analysis will be performed by segmentation tasks, identification tasks, classification tasks, pegression/prediction tasks as well as a sub-analysis for paediatric patients.
Ethical approval will not be required for this study, as data will be obtained from publicly available clinical trials. We will disseminate our results in a peer-reviewed publication. Registration number PROSPERO CRD42020154790.

For a certain class of connectivity functions in the neural field model, we are able to compute its spectral properties and the first Lyapunov coefficient of a Hopf bifurcation. By examining a numerical example, we find that the addition of diffusion suppresses non-synchronised steady-states while favouring synchronised oscillatory modes.Centrally administered bombesin induces scratching and grooming in rats. Overall, 273 patients met our eligibility criteria in that they had no systemic treatment prior to imaging/biopsy, and also had 2-[ F]FDG PET/CT within 6months prior to the tissue biopsy, to ensure acceptable temporal correlation between imaging and genomic evaluation. We found a linear correlation between TMB and SUV (p < 0.001). In the multivariate analysis, only TMB independently correlated with SUV , whereas age, gender, and tumor organ did not. There has been a recent explosion of research into the field of artificial intelligence as applied to clinical radiology with the advent of highly accurate computer vision technology. These studies, however, vary significantly in design and quality. While recent guidelines have been established to advise on ethics, data management and the potential directions of future research, systematic reviews of the entire field are lacking. We aim to investigate the use of artificial intelligence as applied to radiology, to identify the clinical questions being asked, which methodological approaches are applied to these questions and trends in use over time. We will follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines and by the Cochrane Collaboration Handbook. We will perform a literature search through MEDLINE (Pubmed), and EMBASE, a detailed data extraction of trial characteristics and a narrative synthesis of the data. There will be no language restrictions. We will take a task-centred approach rather than focusing on modality or clinical subspecialty. Sub-group analysis will be performed by segmentation tasks, identification tasks, classification tasks, pegression/prediction tasks as well as a sub-analysis for paediatric patients. Both technologies showed similar results proving the effectiveness of VCM as a screening tool for HME-based formulations.Recently, the direction of arrival estimation with co-prime arrays has gradually been applied in underwater scenarios because of its significant advantages over traditional uniform linear arrays. Despite the advantages of co-prime arrays, the spatial spectra obtained directly from conventional beamforming can be degraded by grating lobes due to the sparse spatial sampling in passive sensing applications, which will seriously deteriorate the estimation performance. In this paper, capon beamforming is applied to a co-prime sensor array as a pretreatment before high-resolution direction of arrival (DOA) estimation methods. The amplitudes extracted from the beam-domain outputs of two subarrays and the phases extracted from the cross-spectrum of the spatial spectrum are exploited to suppress the spurious peaks in beam patterns and eliminate ambiguities. Consequently, interference can be further mitigated, and the performance of high-resolution DOA methods will be guaranteed. We found that HGF and MM cell supernatants induced RANKL expression in ST2 cells, MC3T3-E1 cells, and mouse BMSCs. In addition, HGF increased phosphorylation of Met and nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) in ST2 cells, MC3T3-E1 cells, or mouse BMSCs. Moreover, Met and NF-κB inhibitors suppressed HGF-induced RANKL expression in ST2 cells, MC3T3-E1 cells, and mouse BMSCs. These results indicated that HGF promotes RANKL expression in osteoblasts and BMSCs via the Met/NF-κB signaling pathway, and Met and NF-κB inhibitors suppressed HGF-induced RANKL expression. Platinum-based chemotherapy with cetuximab is the standard of care for relapsed or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN). The aim of this trial was to investigate whether cetuximab and paclitaxel/carboplatin can achieve similar progression-free survival (PFS) with standard cetuximab and 5-FU/platinum-based chemotherapy. Standard chemotherapy treatment for SCCHN is related to severe toxicity and new, less toxic regimens are needed.
In this multicentre, randomized, controlled, phase 2 trial, 85 patients with relapsed or metastatic SCCHN were randomized in a 11 ratio to cetuximab and 5-FU/cisplatin or carboplatin (arm A) vs. cetuximab and paclitaxel/carboplatin (arm B). Eligibility criteria included age ≥18 years, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status (PS) of 0-1, and adequate organ functions. The primary endpoint was to investigate whether PFS in arm B is significantly worse than PFS in arm A.
Median PFS in arm A was 4.37 months (95% CI 2.9-5.9 m) and 6.5 months (95% CI 4.8-8.2 m) in arm B, (

This work was focused on the characterization of frond lipid composition and membrane integrity during a desiccation-rehydration cycle of two filmy fern species with contrasting desiccation tolerance Hymenophyllum caudiculatum (less tolerant) and Hymenophyllum plicatum (more tolerant). The relative water content decreased without differences between species when both filmy ferns were subjected to desiccation. However, H. plicatum reached a higher relative water content than H. caudiculatum after rehydration. Fatty acids profiles showed the presence of a very long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid during the desiccation-rehydration cycle, with eicosatrienoic acid being the most abundant. Additionally, propidium iodide permeation staining and confocal microscopy demonstrated that, following the desiccation-rehydration cycle, H. plicatum exhibited a greater membrane integrity than H. caudiculatum. Synapsins (Syns) are a family of phosphoproteins associated with synaptic vesicles (SVs). Their main function is to regulate neurotransmitter release by maintaining a reserve pool of SVs at the presynaptic terminal. Previous studies reported that the deletion of one or more Syn genes in **** results in an epileptic phenotype and autism-related behavioral abnormalities. Here we aimed at characterizing the behavioral phenotype and neurobiological correlates of the deletion of Syns in a Syn triple knockout (TKO) mouse model. Wild type (WT) and TKO **** were tested in the open field, novelty suppressed feeding, light-dark box, forced swim, tail suspension and three-chamber sociability tests. Using in vivo electrophysiology, we recorded the spontaneous activity of dorsal raphe nucleus (DRN) serotonin (5-HT) and ventral tegmental area (VTA) dopamine (DA) neurons. Levels of 5-HT and DA in the frontal cortex and hippocampus of WT and TKO **** were also assessed using a High-Performance Liquid Chromatography. TKO **** displayed hyperactivity and impaired social and anxiety-like behavior. Behavioral dysfunctions were accompanied by reduced firing activity of DRN 5-HT, but not VTA DA, neurons. TKO **** also showed increased responsiveness of DRN 5-HT-1A autoreceptors, measured as a reduced dose of the 5-HT-1A agonist 8-OH-DPAT necessary to inhibit DRN 5-HT firing activity by 50%. Finally, hippocampal 5-HT levels were lower in TKO than in WT ****. Here, we will attempt to collect and summarize the current knowledge on this subject and provide the basis for further lines of inquiry.

In free-living individuals with type 2 diabetes, nutrition biomarkers within normal ranges at baseline did not change significantly after 2years on a prescribed LC or HC diet. These results demonstrate the feasibility of delivering a nutritionally replete LC diet and the importance of considering nutritional factors in planning LC diets that have strong public health relevance to the dietary management of type 2 diabetes.

To determine the predictive performance of well-known obesity markers body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), waist-hip ratio (WHR), waist-height ratio (WHtR), and total body fat percentage (TBF%), to identify incident cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus T2DM.
Secondary data analysis of the CRONICAS Cohort Study, conducted in 3 regions of Peru. Participants without T2DM at baseline were selected for analyses. The obesity markers were evaluated at the beginning of the study, and the development of T2DM was determined at 30months of follow-up. The predictive performance of the markers was calculated using areas under the curve (AUC), and sensitivity and specificity of the best cutoff points were estimated.

To determine the predictive performance of well-known obesity markers body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), waist-hip ratio (WHR), waist-height ratio (WHtR), and total body fat percentage (TBF%), to identify incident cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus T2DM. Secondary data analysis of the CRONICAS Cohort Study, conducted in 3 regions of Peru. Participants without T2DM at baseline were selected for analyses. The obesity markers were evaluated at the beginning of the study, and the development of T2DM was determined at 30months of follow-up.
