  • Patient lateral transfers between two adjacent surfaces pose high musculoskeletal disorder risks for nurses and patient handlers. The purpose of this research was to examine the ergonomic benefits of utilizing the laterally-tilting function of operating room (OR) tables during such transfers - along with different friction-reducing devices (FRD). This method allows the patient to slide down to the adjacent surface as one nurse guides the transfer and another controls the OR table angle with a remote control. Moreover, an endurance static test (EST) was performed prior to and after each driving session. Whole-body discomfort increased with time with both seats, but no difference in discomfort scores was observed between seats throughout the driving sessions. Component ride values were calculated by applying BS 6841 frequency weightings and multiplication factors to seat accelerations in the six directions. Difference thresholds were estimated for two road profiles using the vertical component ride value and combined point ride value (i.e. the root-sums-of-squares of the six component ride values). The two road profiles had different magnitudes, but the same spectral shape, resulting in median vertical component ride values of 0.

  • Background Photoscreeners provide valid, cost-effective early detection of amblyopia risk factors; however, they require proper illumination, flash intensity, pupil dilation and patient cooperation. The Kaleidos case for the 2WIN infrared photoscreener fixes focal distance, decreases luminance and provides electric power. GoCheck Kids (GCK) has developed a flash-concentrating case for the Apple iPhone 7 Plus smartphone to reduce exposure time. Methods In remote Burmese and urban Alaskan clinics, Kaleidos and GCK were used before a confirmatory eye examination using 2013 AAPOS uniform guidelines validation, including some older patients. 2WIN refraction was compared to a cycloplegic examination using J0 and J45 vector transformation. Results In total, 48 Burmese patients and 114 Alaskan patients aged 8±6 years were evaluated utilizing 2013 amblyopia risk factor guidelines. Methods The study was carried out between December 2012 and May 2015 in 20 ophthalmology clinics. Over a one-year recruitment period per study site, all treatment naïve adult patients newly diagnosed with wet age-related macular degeneration, visual impairment due to diabetic macular edema or macular edema secondary to retinal vein occlusion requiring therapeutic management and who had not been diagnosed or treated for the same disease in the past were enrolled after providing informed consent. Study data were collected during the single study visit. Results A total of 1532 incident cases were enrolled. The estimated annual cumulative incidence of wet age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema and macular edema secondary to retinal vein occlusion requiring therapeutic management was 0.82 [95% confidence interval (CI) 0.76, 0.88; n=723], 0.63 (95% CI 0.58, 0.69; n=559), and 0.29 (95% CI 0.25, 0.32; n=250) per 10,000 cases, respectively. Conclusion The study provides estimates of the incidence of major macular diseases causing visual impairment and requiring treatment in outpatient hospital settings in Greece, indicating a considerable socioeconomic burden to the healthcare system.Purpose To evaluate the effect of extrascleral cryocoagulation for the treatment of proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) during retinal detachment repair. In all patients, PVR star-folds were treated by extrascleral cryocoagulation. Results A total of six patients with a rhegmatogenous retinal detachment associated with at least one peripheral PVR star-fold were included in this study. Reattachment of the retina was successfully achieved in all patients. Conclusion This novel and simple technique for the treatment of localized PVR using extrascleral cryocoagulation appears to be a safe and effective approach with favourable surgical success rates.Purpose The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the correlation between changes in vision and HD Analyzer dual-pass metrics versus changes in vision and conventional subjective slit lamp gradings in pseudophakic patients with posterior capsular opacity undergoing neodymiumyttrium-aluminum-garnet (NdYAG) capsulotomy. Patients and methods High contrast (HC) and low contrast (LC) best spectacle-corrected distance visual acuity (BCVA) and HD Analyzer evaluation were prospectively performed on patients with mild-to-moderate posterior capsular opacification (PCO) and monofocal and accommodating intraocular lens implants. Differences between pre- and post-operative measurements were calculated, along with the correlation of HD Analyzer metrics and slit lamp grading to changes in visual acuity. Results Following NdYAG capsulotomy (n=29), there was statistically significant improvement in HC-BCVA and LC-BCVA, decrease in optical scatter, and corresponding improvement in Strehl ratio and HD Analyzer values at all contrast levels tested (p≤0.05). Pearson test showed a high correlation between the improvement in HC-BCVA (r coefficient = 0.78) and LC-BCVA (r coefficient = 0.71) to the improvement in Objective Scatter Index (OSI). There was a higher correlation of change in HC-BCVA to pre-op OSI (r2=0.61) than to the subjective PCO grading score (r2 = 0.19). There was also a higher correlation of change in LC-BCVA to pre-op OSI (r2 = 0.49) than to subjective grading (r2 = 0.16). Conclusion The HD Analyzer provides objective measurements of forward light scatter (ie, light directed towards the retina) that can assist with both PCO grading and prediction of improvement of visual quality after YAG laser capsulotomy with higher accuracy than conventional slit lamp assessment based upon backscatter (ie, light traveling to the observer) in patients tested with monofocal and accommodating intraocular lens implants.Purpose The aim of this study was to compare human Tenon's capsule fibroblasts (HTCFs) obtained from patients who received medical therapy for glaucoma (glaucomatous patients) and patients not treated for glaucoma (non-glaucomatous patients) in terms of wound healing and fibrosis. Patients and methods Bioartificial tissues (BATs) were generated using primary HTCF-populated collagen lattices. Pro-fibrotic gene expression within HTCFs was compared between glaucomatous patients and non-glaucomatous patients after BAT culture. The BATs were also assessed regarding fibroblast-myofibroblast transition, collagen remodeling and collagen contraction using alpha-smooth muscle actin immunohistochemistry, picrosirius red staining and collagen contraction assays, respectively. Results Pro-fibrotic gene expression in BAT-cultured HTCFs derived from glaucomatous patients was significantly increased compared to non-glaucomatous patients. BATs imbued with HTCFs collected from glaucomatous patients exhibited a greater proportion of myofibroblasts as well as increased collagen contraction/remodeling compared to HTCFs isolated from non-glaucomatous patients.

  • Finally, ongoing and recently completed clinical trials targeting FGFRs in cancer are reviewed, highlighting the therapeutic potential of FGFR4 inhibition for the treatment of breast cancer.Ethnopharmacological relevance Zanthoxylum nitidum (Roxb.) DC. (Z. nitidum), which is known in China as Liang-Mian-Zhen, is mainly distributed in southern China and is widely used in traditional Chinese medicine. It is traditionally used for treating stomach ache, toothache, rheumatic arthralgia, traumatic injury and venomous snake bites. Additional medical applications include the treatment of inflammations, various types of cancer, bacterial and viral infections, gastric and oral ulcers and liver damage. Aim of this review This paper aims to offer up-to-date information on the botany, traditional uses, phytochemistry, pharmacology and toxicity of Z. nitidum. This review also discussed the perspectives for possible future research on Z. nitidum. Materials and methods A comprehensive review was carried out on studies about Z. nitidum conducted in the past 60 years by using different resources, including Flora of China, Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China and academic databases. Results At present, more than 150 chemical constituents have been separated and identified from Z. nitidum, most of which include alkaloids. Biological activities, including anti-inflammation, analgesia, haemostasis, anticancer and antibacterial, were determined via in vitro and in vivo studies. The variations in the efficacy of Z. nitidum can be attributed to the biological activities of its natural products, especially alkaloids. Toxicity studies on Z. nitidum are relatively few, thus requiring further study. Conclusions This article generalises the current research achievements related to Z. nitidum, which is an important medicinal material in China. Some traditional uses of Z. nitidum have been assessed by pharmacological studies. Unresolved problems remain, including molecular mechanisms underlying biological activities, pharmacokinetics, toxicology and therapeutic effect, which are still being studied and explored before Z. nitidum can be integrated into clinical medicine.Background Prolonged viral shedding may pose a threat to the control of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), and data on the duration of SARS-CoV-2 shedding are still limited, with the associated factors being unknown. Additional medical applications include the treatment of inflammations, various types of cancer, bacterial and viral infections, gastric and oral ulcers and liver damage. Aim of this review This paper aims to offer up-to-date information on the botany, traditional uses, phytochemistry, pharmacology and toxicity of Z. nitidum. This review also discussed the perspectives for possible future research on Z. nitidum. Materials and methods A comprehensive review was carried out on studies about Z. nitidum conducted in the past 60 years by using different resources, including Flora of China, Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China and academic databases. Results At present, more than 150 chemical constituents have been separated and identified from Z. nitidum, most of which include alkaloids.   • Oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) is a known risk factor for atherogenesis. This study aimed to reveal structural features of oxLDL present in human circulation related to atherosclerosis. When LDL was fractionated on an anion-exchange column, in vivo-oxLDL, detected by the anti-oxidized phosphatidylcholine (oxPC) monoclonal antibody, was recovered in flow-through and electronegative LDL (LDL(-)) fractions. The amount of the electronegative in vivo-oxLDL, namely oxLDL in LDL(-) fraction, present in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) was three-fold higher than that observed in healthy subjects. Surprisingly, LDL(-) fraction contained apoA1 in addition to apoB, and HDL-sized particles were observed with transmission electron microscopy. In LDL(-) fractions, acrolein adducts were identified at all lysine residues in apoA1, with only a small number of acrolein-modified residues were identified in apoB. The amount of oxPC adducts of apoB was higher in LDL(-) than in L1 fraction as determined using western blotting. The electronegative in vivo-oxLDL was immunologically purified from the LDL(-) fraction with an anti-oxPC monoclonal antibody. During plant terrestrialization, six duplication events gave rise to seven clades of subfamily VIII. Subsequently, this TF subfamily showed a tendency for expansion in bryophytes, lycophytes, and ferns and extensively diversified in ancestral gymnosperms and angiosperms in clades VIII-A-1, VIII-D, and VIII-E. The present research illuminates the persistent effects of neonatal surgical injury on the function of inhibitory SDH interneurons derived from the prodynorphin (DYN) lineage, a population which synapses directly onto lamina I spinoparabrachial neurons and is known to suppress mechanical pain and itch in adults. The results demonstrate that hindpaw incision at postnatal day (P) 3 significantly decreased the strength of primary afferent-evoked glutamatergic drive onto DYN neurons within the adult mouse SDH, while increasing the appearance of afferent-evoked inhibition onto the same population. Neonatal injury also dampened the intrinsic membrane excitability of mature DYN neurons, and reduced their action potential discharge in response to sensory input, compared to naïve littermate controls.

In addition, the timing of intensive care unit admission was considered. Multiple organ failure was defined according to the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment score. Drought altered the abundance of 284 proteins overrepresented for photosynthesis, amino acid, sugar and starch metabolism, and redox-regulation. Changes in protein levels correlated with enzyme activities (increased ATP synthase, cysteine synthase, starch synthase, RuBisCo, peroxiredoxin, glutaredoxin, thioredoxin and decreased triosephosphate isomerase, ferredoxin, cellulose synthase activities, respectively) and metabolite concentrations (increased ATP, cysteine, glycine, serine, starch, proline and decreased cellulose levels). The sh2 mutant showed a reduced increase of starch levels under drought conditions, leading to soluble sugar starvation at the end of the night and correlating with an inhibition of leaf growth rates. Increased RuBisCo activity and pigment concentrations observed in WT in response to drought were lacking in the mutant, which suffered more oxidative damage and recovered more slowly after re-watering. All rights reserved.Objectives This study aimed to investigate the stiffness of the gastrocnemius (GC) muscle with acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) elastography after botulinum toxin-A (BTX-A) injection in children with spastic cerebral palsy (CP) and to examine the relationship between elastographic and clinical parameters. Methods This prospective randomized single-blind controlled clinical study included 49 lower extremities of 33 children with spastic CP. They were randomized into 2 groups group 1 (n = 25 extremities in 17 children) received BTX-A injection and a home-based exercise program; group 2 (n = 24 extremities in 16 children) received only a home-based exercise program. Patients were evaluated in pretreatment and posttreatment periods in the first and third months with ARFI elastography, the Modified Ashworth Scale, Modified Tardieu Scale, Pediatric Functional Independence Measure, Gross Motor Function Classification System, and goniometric range of motion measurement of the ankle. Results A statistically significant difference was found in elastography of the GC muscle in group 1 only at the first month after treatment (P less then .05). No statistical difference was found in elastography of the GC after treatment in group 2. According to the Modified Ashworth Scale, Modified Tardieu Scale, and ankle passive range of motion, group 1 showed significant improvements after treatment (P less then .05). Also, there was a significant correlation between these clinical parameters and elastographic measurements (P less then .05). Conclusions According to the results of this study, the measurements from ARFI elastography combined with clinical parameters might be useful for evaluation of spasticity after BTX-A treatment in children with CP. Drought altered the abundance of 284 proteins overrepresented for photosynthesis, amino acid, sugar and starch metabolism, and redox-regulation. Changes in protein levels correlated with enzyme activities (increased ATP synthase, cysteine synthase, starch synthase, RuBisCo, peroxiredoxin, glutaredoxin, thioredoxin and decreased triosephosphate isomerase, ferredoxin, cellulose synthase activities, respectively) and metabolite concentrations (increased ATP, cysteine, glycine, serine, starch, proline and decreased cellulose levels). The sh2 mutant showed a reduced increase of starch levels under drought conditions, leading to soluble sugar starvation at the end of the night and correlating with an inhibition of leaf growth rates. Increased RuBisCo activity and pigment concentrations observed in WT in response to drought were lacking in the mutant, which suffered more oxidative damage and recovered more slowly after re-watering. All rights reserved.Objectives This study aimed to investigate the stiffness of the gastrocnemius (GC) muscle with acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) elastography after botulinum toxin-A (BTX-A) injection in children with spastic cerebral palsy (CP) and to examine the relationship between elastographic and clinical parameters. Methods This prospective randomized single-blind controlled clinical study included 49 lower extremities of 33 children with spastic CP. They were randomized into 2 groups group 1 (n = 25 extremities in 17 children) received BTX-A injection and a home-based exercise program; group 2 (n = 24 extremities in 16 children) received only a home-based exercise program. Patients were evaluated in pretreatment and posttreatment periods in the first and third months with ARFI elastography, the Modified Ashworth Scale, Modified Tardieu Scale, Pediatric Functional Independence Measure, Gross Motor Function Classification System, and goniometric range of motion measurement of the ankle. Results A statistically significant difference was found in elastography of the GC muscle in group 1 only at the first month after treatment (P less then .05). No statistical difference was found in elastography of the GC after treatment in group 2. According to the Modified Ashworth Scale, Modified Tardieu Scale, and ankle passive range of motion, group 1 showed significant improvements after treatment (P less then .05). Also, there was a significant correlation between these clinical parameters and elastographic measurements (P less then .05). Conclusions According to the results of this study, the measurements from ARFI elastography combined with clinical parameters might be useful for evaluation of spasticity after BTX-A treatment in children with CP. Furthermore, adsorption isotherms in batch experiments can be used for the determination of the solid-water distribution coefficient (Kid). This review paper discusses the guidelines of using mono/multi-parametric isotherm models with different applications. The aim of this paper is to establish criteria for choosing the optimum isotherm model through a critical review of different adsorption models and the use of various mathematically error functions such as linear regression analysis, nonlinear regression analysis, and error functions for adsorption data optimization. In this paper, 15 mono-parametric adsorption isotherm models having one, two, three, four and five parameters were investigated. In addition, 10 multi-parameter isotherm models were reviewed as well as addressing their applications. BACKGROUND Internalizing disorders (IDs), consisting of syndromes of anxiety and depression, are common, debilitating conditions often beginning early in life. Various trait-like psychological constructs are associated with IDs. Our prior analysis identified a tripartite model of Fear/Anxiety, Dysphoria, and Positive Affect among symptoms of anxiety and depression and the following constructs in youth anxiety sensitivity, fearfulness, behavioral activation and inhibition, irritability, neuroticism, and extraversion. The current study sought to elucidate their overarching latent genetic and environmental risk structure. METHODS The sample consisted of 768 juvenile twin subjects ages 9-14 assessed for the nine, abovementioned measures. We compared two multivariate twin models of this broad array of phenotypes. RESULTS A hypothesis-driven, common pathway twin model reflecting the tripartite structure of the measures were fit to these data. However, an alternative independent pathway model provided both a better fit and more nuanced insights into their underlying genetic and environmental risk factors. CONCLUSIONS Our findings suggest a complex latent genetic and environmental structure to ID phenotypes in youth. A pharmacist analysed the pharmacotherapeutic processes of all patients admitted to the Trauma Service in different healthcare locations from Monday to Friday. To detect MEs, the pharmacist reviewed this process at the following points reconciliation, prescription, validation, dispensing, and administration records. Errors were classified according to the Ruiz Jarabo classification. Subsequently, the working group designed a set of measures that were implemented with the incorporation into the Acute Care Team and the intervention of a pharmacist. Data on MEs were again collected in a post-implementation phase. RESULTS There was a statirred in the Trauma Service. © 2020 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.PURPOSE To analyze the perceptions of laypersons, dental students, and dentists regarding disparities of the maxillary dental midline and the occlusal plane (OP) when analyzing their own 2D or 3D clinical simulation. MATERIAL AND METHODS 20 participants per group volunteered (N = 60). Intraoral and facial scans, and a photograph were obtained from each participant. Two simulation groups were created 2D and 3D groups, which were subdivided into two subgroups. In the first subgroup, the OP was modified by 1-degree increments without changing the maxillary midline. In the second subgroup, the OP was modified by the same increments, but the maxillary midline was altered to match the OP inclination. Participants were asked to rate the simulations on a 1-to-6 scale and a question survey. Ordinal logistic regression (OR) was used to analyze the ratings. RESULTS Tilt of the OP had the strongest negative effect on the ratings which was further amplified by the dental midline inclination (OR = 0.122). Midline modification alone did not affect the ratings (OR = 0.744). 3D simulations had a stronger positive effect on the ratings compared to 2D simulations. For dental students, the positive rating effect of 3D simulations was similar to dentists. For laypersons, the positive rating effect of 3D simulations compared to the 2D simulations decreased relative to dentists. The survey revealed that 45% of the dentists, 80% of the students, and 50% of the laypersons preferred the 3D simulation. CONCLUSIONS The type of dimensional representation affected the esthetic perception of all participants. 3D simulations obtained higher esthetic ratings for the same esthetic discrepancy than 2D simulations.   • PURPOSE OF REVIEW The prevalence of cesarean delivery is increasing worldwide despite the advance of Trial of Labor After Cesarean section. In many countries, a history of previous cesarean section is an almost absolute indication for a repeat cesarean section. The purpose of this review was to examine if the perioperative anesthetic management of patients with repeat cesarean section is different from the anesthetic management of patients with primary cesarean section. RECENT FINDINGS This review discusses important topics, such as early diagnosis of cases with a potentially high risk for complications; the need for assessment of patients diagnosed with abnormal placentation; the importance of a multidisciplinary approach that includes interaction of the anesthesiologist, gynaecologist, and invasive radiologist; emphasizing the need for reinforcement of new methods of invasive procedures; management of massive bleeding, use of new technologies, and development of an institutional protocol for management of patients with abnormal placentation. SUMMARY According to this review, we show that the management of patients with repeat cesarean section without abnormal placentation is almost the same as the management of patients for primary cesarean section. Timely diagnosis of patient with abnormal placentation and multidisciplinary approach is crucial for prevention of morbidity or even mortality.PURPOSE OF REVIEW The objective of this review is to identify the potential of peripheral nerve blocks established over the last years for perioperative pain management in breast surgery. These new blocks will be discussed with respect to their clinical effect and necessity. RECENT FINDINGS After case reports and cadaver studies for the Pecs block and its variations sufficient clinical data from randomized controlled trial (RCT) and meta-analyses exist now. The modified Pecs block or Pecs II leads to a reduction of postoperative 24-h opioid consumption. The recently invented Erector spine block addresses the intercostal nerves. The benefits in analgesia of this approach were tested in few RCTs and showed superiority to the control group in terms of requested postoperative morphine. Most studies showed low intraoperative opioid doses and no study more than low to moderate postoperative pain scores. SUMMARY Taking the pain levels after breast surgery into account, the request of additional nerve blocks has to be pondered against the potential risks and resource requirement. To reduce or avoid intraoperative or postoperative opioids, an ultrasound-guided Pecs II block proves to be the best option for perioperative pain relief.PURPOSE OF REVIEW The goal of this review is to describe the recent improvements in clinical decision tools applied to the increasingly large and complex datasets in the pediatric ambulatory and inpatient setting. Artificial intelligence and machine learning have enabled advances in predicting outcomes, such as sepsis and early deterioration, and assisting in procedural technique. SUMMARY With more than a decade of electronic medical data generation, clinical decision support tools have begun to evolve into more sophisticated and complex algorithms capable of transforming large datasets into succinct, timely, and pertinent summaries for treatment and management of pediatric patients. Future developments will need to leverage patient-generated health data, integrated device data, and provider-entered data to complete the continuum of patient care and will likely demonstrate improvements in patient outcomes.PURPOSE OF REVIEW Acute care technologies, including novel monitoring devices, big data, increased computing capabilities, machine-learning algorithms and automation, are converging. Yet the challenges of implementation, user acceptance, ethics and regulation cannot be underestimated. Areas in which there is easy access to routinely labeled data and robust outcomes, such as those collected through national networks and quality improvement programs, are likely to be at the forefront of the adoption of these advances.PURPOSE OF REVIEW Sugammadex is a novel selective muscle relaxant binding agent capable of reversing deep neuromuscular blockade from rocuronium or vecuronium. It has not been approved for use in children by the US FDA because of lack of literature regarding pediatric patients. RECENT FINDINGS A series of new studies has reported sugammadex administration to increasingly younger patients ranging in the newborn period. Although the literature in pediatrics is improving, most of the available studies in pediatrics are underpowered, retrospective, and measure too many different variables to draw reliable, collective conclusions. SUMMARY All available evidence suggests that sugammadex is likely well tolerated and effective and can be dosed similarly to adults in patients 2 years' old and greater. Sugammadex should be used with caution in patients less than 2 years old.

  • PURPOSE OF REVIEW The prevalence of cesarean delivery is increasing worldwide despite the advance of Trial of Labor After Cesarean section. In many countries, a history of previous cesarean section is an almost absolute indication for a repeat cesarean section. The purpose of this review was to examine if the perioperative anesthetic management of patients with repeat cesarean section is different from the anesthetic management of patients with primary cesarean section. RECENT FINDINGS This review discusses important topics, such as early diagnosis of cases with a potentially high risk for complications; the need for assessment of patients diagnosed with abnormal placentation; the importance of a multidisciplinary approach that includes interaction of the anesthesiologist, gynaecologist, and invasive radiologist; emphasizing the need for reinforcement of new methods of invasive procedures; management of massive bleeding, use of new technologies, and development of an institutional protocol for management of patients with abnormal placentation. SUMMARY According to this review, we show that the management of patients with repeat cesarean section without abnormal placentation is almost the same as the management of patients for primary cesarean section. Timely diagnosis of patient with abnormal placentation and multidisciplinary approach is crucial for prevention of morbidity or even mortality.PURPOSE OF REVIEW The objective of this review is to identify the potential of peripheral nerve blocks established over the last years for perioperative pain management in breast surgery. These new blocks will be discussed with respect to their clinical effect and necessity. RECENT FINDINGS After case reports and cadaver studies for the Pecs block and its variations sufficient clinical data from randomized controlled trial (RCT) and meta-analyses exist now. The modified Pecs block or Pecs II leads to a reduction of postoperative 24-h opioid consumption. The recently invented Erector spine block addresses the intercostal nerves. The benefits in analgesia of this approach were tested in few RCTs and showed superiority to the control group in terms of requested postoperative morphine. Most studies showed low intraoperative opioid doses and no study more than low to moderate postoperative pain scores. SUMMARY Taking the pain levels after breast surgery into account, the request of additional nerve blocks has to be pondered against the potential risks and resource requirement. To reduce or avoid intraoperative or postoperative opioids, an ultrasound-guided Pecs II block proves to be the best option for perioperative pain relief.PURPOSE OF REVIEW The goal of this review is to describe the recent improvements in clinical decision tools applied to the increasingly large and complex datasets in the pediatric ambulatory and inpatient setting. Artificial intelligence and machine learning have enabled advances in predicting outcomes, such as sepsis and early deterioration, and assisting in procedural technique. SUMMARY With more than a decade of electronic medical data generation, clinical decision support tools have begun to evolve into more sophisticated and complex algorithms capable of transforming large datasets into succinct, timely, and pertinent summaries for treatment and management of pediatric patients. Yet the challenges of implementation, user acceptance, ethics and regulation cannot be underestimated. Lung phenotype was characterized by measuring lung function, total and differential cell counts, cytokine abundance, and the lung transcriptome by RNA-sequencing.
