Background A novel human coronavirus, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was identified in China in December 2019. There is limited support for many of its key epidemiologic features, including the incubation period for clinical disease (coronavirus disease 2019 [COVID-19]), which has important implications for surveillance and control activities. Objective To estimate the length of the incubation period of COVID-19 and describe its public health implications. Design Pooled analysis of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported between 4 January 2020 and 24 February 2020. Setting News reports and press releases from 50 provinces, regions, and countries outside Wuhan, Hubei province, China. Participants Persons with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection outside Hubei province, China. Measurements Patient demographic characteristics and dates and times of possible exposure, symptom onset, fever onset, and hospitalization. Furthermore, mutant ncx2-/- and ncx3-/- **** have each been shown to exhibit altered long-term potentiation (LTP) in the hippocampal CA1 region due to delayed Ca2+ clearance after depolarization that alters synaptic transmission. In addition to the role of NCX at the synapse of hippocampal subfields required for LTP, the three NCX isoforms have also been shown to localize to the dendrite of hippocampal pyramidal cells. In the case of NCX1, it has been shown to localize throughout the basal and apical dendrite of CA1 neurons where it helps compartmentalize Ca2+ between dendritic shafts and spines. Given the role for NCX and calcium in synaptic plasticity, the capacity of NCX splice-forms to influence backpropagating action potentials has clear consequences for the induction of spike-timing dependent synaptic plasticity (STDP). Indocyanine green suspended in ethyl alcohol and applied to skin as a marking pen appeared clear under direct visualization and was detectable under infrared laser angiography. CONCLUSIONS Black permanent marking ink allows visualization of surgical markings under infrared laser angiography, whereas gentian violet and methylene blue did not interfere with infrared visualization. METHODS The eV equation was derived using the Cockcroft-Gault and the measured creatinine clearance (CrCl = UCrV/PCr) equations. Within the African American Study of Kidney Disease and Hypertension (AASK; n = 570) and COMBINE (n = 133) clinical trials, we identified participants with concordant estimated and measured creatinine excretion rates to define a subset with highly accurate 24-h urine collections, to assure a reliable gold standard. We then compared eV to measured 24-h urine flow rates in these trials. RESULTS In AASK, we found a high correlation between eV and measured urine flow rate (V; r = 0.91, p less then 0.001); however, Bland-Altman plots showed that eV was 9.5 mL/h lower than V, on average. Thus, we added a correction factor to the eV equation and externally validated the new equation in COMBINE. eV and V were again highly correlated (r = 0.91, p less then 0.001), and bias was improved (mean difference 5.3 mL/h). Overall, 80% of individuals had eV that was within 20% of V. CONCLUSIONS A simple equation using urine creatinine, demographics, and body weight can accurately predict urine flow rate and may have clinical utility in situations where it is difficult to accurately measure the urine flow rate. © 2020 S. Two controlled trials demonstrated the superiority of RTX over antiproteinuric therapy alone and cyclosporine. However, the FUs were relatively short and no randomized trial has been published against cyclical therapy. The available results, together with the discovery that most patients with MN have circulating antibodies against the phospholipase A2 receptor 1, support the use of cytotoxic drugs or RTX in MN. It is difficult to choose between these two different treatments. RTX is easier to use, but the FUs of the available studies are short, thus doubts remain about the long-term risk of relapses and the safety of repeated administrations of RTX. © The Author(s) 2020. We analysed late results according to the type of RVOT repair. RESULTS We collected data from 29 survivors after truncus arteriosus repair. Six (20%) of them were affected by DiGeorge syndrome. The RVOT reconstruction was achieved using a valved conduit in 58.6%, while a direct right ventricle-pulmonary artery (RV-PA) anastomosis, with or without the interposition of the left atrial appendage, was performed in the remaining. At a median follow-up time of 7.9 years (interquartile range 1.8-13.1), 6 patients (3 affected by DiGeorge syndrome) died. Between the 2 groups, there were no differences in terms of the late mortality and onset of adverse events. However, the use of a conduit seemed more prone to reintervention and onset of adverse events. CONCLUSIONS Different RVOT reconstruction techniques are safe and have similar late outcomes. However, use of a direct RV-PA anastomosis and left atrial appendage interposition may reduce the need for reoperation in the long term. © The Author(s) 2020. Heat stress is one of the most common environmental challenges to poultry worldwide. It has been extensively demonstrated that heat stress negatively impacts the health, welfare and productivity of broilers and laying hens. However, basic mechanisms associated with the reported effects of heat stress are still not fully understood. The adaptive response of poultry to a heat stress situation is complex and intricate in nature, and it includes effects on the intestinal tract. This review offers an objective overview of the scientific evidence available on the effects of the heat stress response on different facets of the intestinal tract of poultry, including its physiology, integrity, immunology and microbiota. Although a lot of knowledge has been generated, many gaps persist. The development of standardized models is crucial to be able to better compare and extrapolate results. By better understanding how the intestinal tract is affected in birds subjected to heat stress conditions, more targeted interventions can be developed and applied. © The Author(s) 2020. Moreover, it was assessed whether a special skin protection paste and soft polyurethane foam material used in daily skin care could prevent erythema around the fistula. The feasibility of both, the modified simple T-cannula and daily skin care procedure, was evaluated in a digestibility experiment. Simple T-cannulae were made of high-molecular-weight polyethylene and inserted into the distal ileum of eight growing pigs (average body weight at surgery 30 kg). Modifications in the cannula design included a longer flange (11 cm) that was narrowed from the center to the ends and a bending of the flange to adapt it to the curve of the costal arch. In order to reduce the damage to the thread on the outer cannula barrel during surgery, a special surgical plug in conjunction with a screw thread on the inside of the barrel was developed.

Success (mean ± SE) at 1 year for the intraocular pressure >21-mmHg failure criterion was 65% ± 15% for the Baerveldt glaucoma implant and 79% ± 11% for the Aurolab aqueous drainage implant (p = 0.80). The frequency of complications listed was similar for the two groups (Fisher's exact p = 0.71). However, scaffolds frequently fail to capture the structure and organization of cartilage. Additionally, many current scaffold designs do not mimic processes by which structurally sound cartilage is formed during musculoskeletal development. The objective of this review is to highlight methods that investigate cartilage ontogenesis with native and model systems in the context of regenerative medicine. Specific emphasis is placed on the use of cartilage explant cultures that provide a physiologically relevant microenvironment to study tissue assembly and development. Ex vivo cartilage has proven to be a cost-effective and accessible model system that allows researchers to control the culture conditions and stimuli and perform proteomics and imaging studies that are not easily possible using in vivo experiments, while preserving native cell-matrix interactions. We anticipate our review will promote a developmental biology approach using explanted tissues to guide cartilage tissue engineering and inform new treatment methods for OA and joint damage.Medical testing promises to establish certainty by providing a definitive assessment of risk or diagnosis. But can those who rely on tests to offer advice or make clinical decisions be assured of this certainty? This article examines how Australian health professionals, namely clinicians, microbiologists, specialist physicians and health policymakers, delineate the boundary between certainty and uncertainty in their accounts of medical testing. Applying concepts from science and technology studies, and drawing on qualitative data from a sociological study of testing in Australian healthcare, we consider how professionals ascribe meaning to testing and test results. As we argue, for these health professionals, the 'evidence' that testing generates has ambiguous ontological significance while it promises to provide diagnostic certainty and clear direction for advice or treatment, it also generates uncertainties that may lead to yet further tests. Our analysis leads us to question a key premise of testing, namely that it is possible to establish certainty in medical practice via the measurement of individual health risks and disease markers. Against this dominant view, the responses of the health professionals in our study suggest that uncertainty is intrinsic to testing due to the constantly changing, unstable character of 'evidence'. We conclude by considering the implications of our analysis in light of healthcare's increasing reliance on sophisticated technologies of 'personalised' testing using genetic information and data analytics.Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) co-occurring with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) is common in veterans. Additionally, many current scaffold designs do not mimic processes by which structurally sound cartilage is formed during musculoskeletal development. The objective of this review is to highlight methods that investigate cartilage ontogenesis with native and model systems in the context of regenerative medicine. Specific emphasis is placed on the use of cartilage explant cultures that provide a physiologically relevant microenvironment to study tissue assembly and development. Ex vivo cartilage has proven to be a cost-effective and accessible model system that allows researchers to control the culture conditions and stimuli and perform proteomics and imaging studies that are not easily possible using in vivo experiments, while preserving native cell-matrix interactions. Somatic embryos were generated by incubation of immature zygotic embryos in half-strength salt Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium with full-strength vitamins supplemented with 7.5 mg L-1 2,4-D, 100 mg L-1 L-glutamine, 50 mg L-1 myo-inositol, 45 mg L-1 adenine sulphate, 0.33% gelrite, and 6% sucrose, followed by transfer to maturation medium consisting of ½ MS medium supplemented with 5 mg L-1 phloroglucinol, 100 mg L-1 L-glutamine, 100 mg L-1 myo-inositol, 68 mg L-1 adenine sulphate, 0.38% gelrite, and 3% sucrose. After the mixing of the BCPs with 10% w/v PS-g-MNPs, nanocomposite thin films were formed by spin coating. Solvent vapor annealing (SVA) enabled the PS-g-MNPs selective placement within the PS domains of the BCPs, as revealed by atomic force microscopy (AFM). In nursing homes (NHs), vaccination for both residents and staff is the best preventive strategy. However, professionals' immunization rates are far from reaching the international recommended values. This study aims to describe the adherence and attitudes of NH staff towards flu vaccination and to explore staff hesitancy. A questionnaire was developed based on a literature review and on the 3Cs (confidence, complacency, convenience) of the WHO framework and administered among the staff of four NHs of a province in the northeast of Italy. Results demonstrated a low adherence towards annual vaccination (i.e., only 3% declared getting the flu vaccination each year). Complacency, confidence and convenience all showed a significant impact on the attitude towards vaccination both in univariate and multivariable analysis, with complacency being the most strongly associated area. The area of confidence resulted in strongly challenging factors. Only 24.8% of interviewees appeared trustful towards the efficacy of receiving immunization and 34% declared safety issues. Insights from the study can support the implementation of effective interventions to improve vaccination adherence in NHs. Specifically, increasing complacency by raising awareness related to the risks of influenza appears to be an essential strategy to effectively promote vaccination uptake.

Many strains of Campylobacter jejuni display modified heptose residues in their capsular polysaccharides (CPS). The precursor heptose was previously shown to be GDP-d-glycero-α-d-manno-heptose, from which a variety of modifications of the sugar moiety have been observed. These modifications include the generation of 6-deoxy derivatives and alterations of the stereochemistry at C3-C6. Previous work has focused on the enzymes responsible for the generation of the 6-deoxy derivatives and those involved in altering the stereochemistry at C3 and C5. However, the generation of the 6-hydroxyl heptose residues remains uncertain due to the lack of a specific enzyme to catalyze the initial oxidation at C4 of GDP-d-glycero-α-d-manno-heptose. Here we reexamine the previously reported role of Cj1427, a dehydrogenase found in C. jejuni NTCC 11168 (HS2). We show that Cj1427 is co-purified with bound NADH, thus hindering catalysis of oxidation reactions. However, addition of a co-substrate, α-ketoglutarate, converts the bound NADH to NAD+. In this form, Cj1427 catalyzes the oxidation of l-2-hydroxyglutarate **** to α-ketoglutarate. Many strains of Campylobacter jejuni display modified heptose residues in their capsular polysaccharides (CPS). The precursor heptose was previously shown to be GDP-d-glycero-α-d-manno-heptose, from which a variety of modifications of the sugar moiety have been observed. These modifications include the generation of 6-deoxy derivatives and alterations of the stereochemistry at C3-C6. Previous work has focused on the enzymes responsible for the generation of the 6-deoxy derivatives and those involved in altering the stereochemistry at C3 and C5. However, the generation of the 6-hydroxyl heptose residues remains uncertain due to the lack of a specific enzyme to catalyze the initial oxidation at C4 of GDP-d-glycero-α-d-manno-heptose. Here we reexamine the previously reported role of Cj1427, a dehydrogenase found in C. jejuni NTCC 11168 (HS2). We show that Cj1427 is co-purified with bound NADH, thus hindering catalysis of oxidation reactions. However, addition of a co-substrate, α-ketoglutarate, converts the bound NADH to NAD+. In this form, Cj1427 catalyzes the oxidation of l-2-hydroxyglutarate back to α-ketoglutarate. To adjust for potential confounding, a propensity score for treatment was ted difference, -6.9%; 95% CI, -10.6% to -3.2%). Moreover, cryoprecipitate use was associated with a significantly lower 7-day mortality but only in children with penetrating trauma (adjusted difference, -9.2%; 95% CI, -15.4% to -3.0%) and those transfused at least 100 mL/kg of total blood products (adjusted difference, -7.7%; 95% CI, -15.0% to -0.5%).

A comprehensive search of the MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library databases from the date of database inception to April 18, 2020, was conducted. The key search terms used were vitiligo, surgery, autologous, transplantation, punch, suction blister, and graft.
Of 1365 studies initially identified, the full texts of 358 articles were assessed for eligibility. A total of 117 studies were identified in which punch grafting (n = 19), thin skin grafting (n = 10), suction blister grafting (n = 29), noncultured epidermal cell suspension (n = 45), follicular cell suspension (n = 9), and cultured epidermal cell suspension (n = 17rmal cell suspension, 36.24% (95% CI, 18.92%-53.57%) for noncultured follicular cell suspension, and 56.82% (95% CI, 48.93%-64.71%) for cultured epidermal cell suspension. The rate of repigmentation of greater than 50% after any surgical intervention was 81.01% (95% CI, 78.18%-83.84%). In meta-regression analyses, the treatment response was associated with patient age (estimated slope, -1.1418), subtype of vitiligo (estimated slope, 0.3047), and anatomical sites (estimated slope, -0.4050).
The findings of this systematic review and meta-analysis suggest that surgical intervention can be an effective option for refractory stable vitiligo. An appropriate procedure should be recommended based on patient age, site and size of the lesion, and costs.

Participants included adults aged 18 years or older with available age, race, and sex data in the electronic health record system.

Conditional devices and novel protocols for imaging patients with legacy cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) have increased access to MRI in patients with devices. However, the presence of abandoned leads remains an absolute contraindication.
To assess if the performance of an MRI in the presence of an abandoned CIED lead is safe and whether there are deleterious effects on concomitant active CIED leads.
This cohort study included consecutive CIED recipients undergoing 1.5-T MRI with at least 1 abandoned lead between January 2013 and June 2020. MRI scans were performed at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. No patients were excluded.
CIEDs were reprogrammed based on patient-specific pacing needs. Electrocardiography telemetry and pulse oximetry were monitored continuously, and live contact with the patient throughout the scan via visual and voice contact was performed if possible. After completion of the MRI, CIED evaluation was repeated and programming returned to baseline or to a clinically appropriate setting.

The aim of this study is to estimate the influence of a commercial biological fungicide containing Trichoderma harzianum Rifai T-22 on dissipation kinetics and degradation of five herbicides belonging to different chemical classes clomazone, fluazifop-P-butyl, metribuzin, pendimethalin, and propyzamide, in two types of soil. Results of the study revealed that T. harzianum T-22 influences pesticide degradation and dissipation kinetics of the non-persistent herbicides clomazone, fluazifop-P-butyl, and metribuzin. In soil with a higher content of nitrogen, phosphorus, and organic matter, degradation increased by up to 24.2%, 24.8%, and 23.5% for clomazone, fluazifop-P-butyl, and metribuzin, respectively. In soil with lower organic content, degradation was on a low level, of 16.1%, 17.7%, and 16.3% for clomazone, fluazifop-P-butyl, and metribuzin, respectively. In our study, the addition of the biological preparation shortened herbicide dissipation half-lives, from 0.3 days (2.9%) for fluazifop-P-butyl, to 18.4 days (25.1%) for clomazone. The fracture process of concrete was simulated, and the peak load (Pmax) of concrete was predicted using the numerical model. Based on the simulating results, the influence of specimen size of WS and 3-p-b tests on the fracture parameters was analyzed. It was demonstrated that when the specimen size was large enough, the fracture toughness (KIC) value obtained by the linear elastic fracture mechanics formula was independent of the specimen size.

The aim of this study is to estimate the influence of a commercial biological fungicide containing Trichoderma harzianum Rifai T-22 on dissipation kinetics and degradation of five herbicides belonging to different chemical classes clomazone, fluazifop-P-butyl, metribuzin, pendimethalin, and propyzamide, in two types of soil. Results of the study revealed that T. harzianum T-22 influences pesticide degradation and dissipation kinetics of the non-persistent herbicides clomazone, fluazifop-P-butyl, and metribuzin. In soil with a higher content of nitrogen, phosphorus, and organic matter, degradation increased by up to 24.2%, 24.8%, and 23.5% for clomazone, fluazifop-P-butyl, and metribuzin, respectively. In soil with lower organic content, degradation was on a low level, of 16.1%, 17.7%, and 16.3% for clomazone, fluazifop-P-butyl, and metribuzin, respectively. In our study, the addition of the biological preparation shortened herbicide dissipation half-lives, from 0.3 days (2.9%) for fluazifop-P-butyl, to 18.4 days (25.1%) for clomazone. During the degradation study, no significant differences were noticed for pendimethalin, belonging to persistent substances. Biological protection of crops can modify pesticide concentrations and dissipation rates. Moreover, the catalyst could be magnetically separated from the reaction mixture and recycled up to ten reaction runs with a slight loss of the catalytic activity and Pd leaching. Here, non-invasive and label-free detection of trace-level of norfloxacin (NF) in human urine samples has been reported using the electrochemical technique. Nanostructured yttrium oxide (nY2O3) was synthesized at low-temperature using a one-step hydrothermal process. These nY2O3 were characterized by various methods including XRD, FT-IR, Raman spectroscopy, and TEM. A biosensing platform based on nY2O3 modified with chitosan (CH) was fabricated for the detection of NF. The nanocomposite film (CH-Y2O3/ITO) was characterized by FE-SEM, contact angle measurements, and electrochemical techniques. Further, fluoroquinolones antibodies (anti-FQ) were used to modify the CH-Y2O3/ITO electrode via covalent interaction. Non-specific sites were blocked by bovine serum albumin (BSA), those present on the anti-FQ/CH-Y2O3/ITO electrode surface. The response study of BSA/anti-FQ/CH-Y2O3/ITO bioelectrode towards NF detection revealed a wide range (1 pM-10 μM) with a lower detection limit of 3.87 pM using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The sensitivity obtained is as high as 10.14 μA μM-1 cm2 with a fast response time of ~10 min. Moreover, the diagnostic performance of the fabricated sensor was evaluated to detect NF in urine spiked sample. The recovery of NF from the spiked sample was observed from 90.5 to 101.1%, with a maximum relative standard deviation of 7.04. The obtained results of the fabricated bioelectrode (BSA/anti-FQ/CH-Y2O3/ITO) was validated with ELISA. The results were found better when compared with earlier described biosensors and commercially existing ELISA in terms of sensitivity and lower detection limit.

Platelet-associated immunoglobulin G (PA-IgG) refers to IgG attached to the surface of platelets, while the immature platelet fraction (IPF) reflects the state of platelet production in bone marrow. Since PA-IgG and IPF are increased in patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), reflecting amounts of platelet antibodies and compensatory platelet production, respectively, we hypothesized that these laboratory findings may provide useful markers for predicting treatment response in patients with ITP. We therefore retrospectively investigated associations between levels of these markers at diagnosis and response to first-line therapy in patients with ITP.
Forty-three patients diagnosed with ITP at Oita Kouseiren Tsurumi Hospital between May 2010 and November 2018 were included. Patients were divided into 2 groups based on response to corticosteroid as first-line therapy. Laboratory findings were compared between responders and nonresponders.

Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is commonly used in the treatment of medically refractory movement disorders. There have been several reports in the literature of edema developing around the implanted electrode. Most of these studies have been retrospective, suggesting that the time course and incidence of this edema are underestimated. An understanding of the incidence and time course of edema related to DBS leads is important to allow clinicians to better assess the correct course of action when edema following DBS implantation is observed.
We examined both the time course and prevalence of edema following DBS implantation by obtaining a series of postoperative MRI scans from patients who underwent DBS surgery. Edema volume was quantified by a single neuroradiologist, measuring the peri-electrode T2 signal change.
We examined postoperative MRIs in thirteen patients with fifteen DBS electrode implants. Eleven patients exhibited white matter edema on at least 1 postoperative MRI, with none being symptomatic. Edema was completely resolved in 4 of the electrode implants through postoperative day 70, with the remaining cases still exhibiting edema at the last imaged time point.
In this study, we obtained a regimented series of postoperative MRIs in an effort to determine the time course and incidence of edema. Our results show that edema following DBS implant is not rare, is often asymptomatic, and may resolve over many weeks.

Out-of-field tumor regression effects of radiation therapy (abscopal response)have been sporadically observed in the past, but they have only recently gained significant importance due to the use of innovative high-precision radiation delivery devices for the treatment of various cancers including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In this study, we provide a detailed overview of the current state of knowledge and clinical experience of radiation therapy-induced abscopal effects in patients with advanced NSCLC.
Peer-reviewed published clinical evidence on the abscopal effect of radiation therapy was collected using electronic databases such as MEDLINE via PubMed and Google Scholar. The clinical data on the abscopal effect of radiation therapy were reviewed and the outcomes have been summarized. Most studies describing the abscopal effects of radiation therapy in patients with advanced NSCLC have been in the form of either case reports or small cohort studies. Although the exact molecular mechanisms for t immunotherapy agents to maximize treatment outcomes in patients with advanced NSCLC and other cancers. Key Message The findings suggest that radiation therapy has the ability to induce abscopal effects with an increased potential to boost these effects when it is used in combination with immunotherapy for the treatment of patients with advanced NSCLC and other cancers. Clinical trials investigating radiation therapy-induced abscopal effects may lead to a dramatic change in its use especially when it is combined with immunotherapy for the treatment of patients with advanced NSCLC.

Since PA-IgG and IPF are increased in patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), reflecting amounts of platelet antibodies and compensatory platelet production, respectively, we hypothesized that these laboratory findings may provide useful markers for predicting treatment response in patients with ITP. We therefore retrospectively investigated associations between levels of these markers at diagnosis and response to first-line therapy in patients with ITP. Forty-three patients diagnosed with ITP at Oita Kouseiren Tsurumi Hospital between May 2010 and November 2018 were included. Patients were divided into 2 groups based on response to corticosteroid as first-line therapy. Laboratory findings were compared between responders and nonresponders. Median PA-IgG was 285 ng/107 cells (range, 45.5-18,200 ng/107 c000; 95% confidence interval, 1.000-1.010; p = 0.029). Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is commonly used in the treatment of medically refractory movement disorders. There have been several reports in the literature of edema developing around the implanted electrode. Most of these studies have been retrospective, suggesting that the time course and incidence of this edema are underestimated. An understanding of the incidence and time course of edema related to DBS leads is important to allow clinicians to better assess the correct course of action when edema following DBS implantation is observed. We examined both the time course and prevalence of edema following DBS implantation by obtaining a series of postoperative MRI scans from patients who underwent DBS surgery. Edema volume was quantified by a single neuroradiologist, measuring the peri-electrode T2 signal change. We examined postoperative MRIs in thirteen patients with fifteen DBS electrode implants. Eleven patients exhibited white matter edema on at least 1 postoperative MRI, with none being symptomatic. Edema was completely resolved in 4 of the electrode implants through postoperative day 70, with the remaining cases still exhibiting edema at the last imaged time point. In this study, we obtained a regimented series of postoperative MRIs in an effort to determine the time course and incidence of edema. Out-of-field tumor regression effects of radiation therapy (abscopal response)have been sporadically observed in the past, but they have only recently gained significant importance due to the use of innovative high-precision radiation delivery devices for the treatment of various cancers including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In this study, we provide a detailed overview of the current state of knowledge and clinical experience of radiation therapy-induced abscopal effects in patients with advanced NSCLC. Peer-reviewed published clinical evidence on the abscopal effect of radiation therapy was collected using electronic databases such as MEDLINE via PubMed and Google Scholar. The clinical data on the abscopal effect of radiation therapy were reviewed and the outcomes have been summarized. Most studies describing the abscopal effects of radiation therapy in patients with advanced NSCLC have been in the form of either case reports or small cohort studies. Although the exact molecular mechanisms for t immunotherapy agents to maximize treatment outcomes in patients with advanced NSCLC and other cancers. Key Message The findings suggest that radiation therapy has the ability to induce abscopal effects with an increased potential to boost these effects when it is used in combination with immunotherapy for the treatment of patients with advanced NSCLC and other cancers.
