  • Abnormal activation of transforming growth factor (TGF)-β is a common cause of fibroblast activation and fibrosis. In bleomycin (BLM)-induced lung fibrosis, the marked expression of phospho-Src homology-2 domain-containing phosphatase (SHP) 2, phospho-signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) 3, and suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) 3 was highly associated with pulmonary parenchymal lesions and collagen deposition. Human pulmonary fibroblasts differentiated into myofibroblasts exhibited activation of SHP2, SOCS3, protein inhibitor of activated STAT1, STAT3, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-10. The significant retardation of interferon (IFN)-γ signaling in myofibroblasts was revealed by the decreased expression of phospho-STAT1, IFN-γ-associated genes, and IFN-γ-inducible protein (IP) 10. Interestingly, BIBF 1120 treatment effectively inhibited both STAT3 and SHP2 phosphorylation in TGF-β1-differentiated myofibroblasts and BLM fibrotic lung tissues, which was accompanied by suppression of fibroblast-myofibroblast transition. Moreover, the combined treatment of BIBF 1120 plus IFN-γ or SHP2 inhibitor PHPS1 plus IFN-γ markedly reduced TGF-β1-induced α-smooth muscle actin and further ameliorated BLM lung fibrosis. Accordingly, myofibroblasts were hyporesponsiveness to IFN-γ, while blockade of SHP2 contributed to the anti-fibrotic efficacy of IFN-γ.
    The effects of orthognathic surgery (OGS) on the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) are still controversial. Based on a high-volume uniform collective, the function and clinical symptoms of the TMJ and the dysfunction index (Di) by Helkimo were evaluated prior and up to 2years after OGS.

    A longitudinal cohort study was performed between 2006 and 2016. A comprehensive examination focusing on TMJ function, temporomandibular disorder (TMD) symptoms, and the Di had been performed preopertaively (T0) and postoperatively at 6weeks (T1), 6months (T2), 1 year (T3), and 2years (T4). The predictor variables used were sex, age, skeletal class, type of surgery, and amount of dysfunction or number of TMD complaints before treatment. The outcome of this study was TMD symptoms and the Di. Descriptive and bivariate statistics were computed, and the significance level was set at P<.05.

    The sample consisted of 375 patients (247 women, 128 men, mean age 28.1±9.4years), 269 with skeletal Class II (71.7%) and 106 with skeletar long-term effects on the TMJ.

Currently, enucleation is the treatment of choice for sporadic solitary insulinoma if diameter is less than 2cm and the structural integrity of the pancreatic duct can be maintained. However, the procedure has a risk of postoperative complications, and especially of pancreatic fistula. There is growing interest in endoscopic ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (EUS-RFA) as an effective and less invasive alternative treatment for benign sporadic insulinoma.

    We retrospectively analyzed the efficacy and safety of EUS-RFA in four patients with benign localized insulinoma treated in our tertiary care center between June 2018 and November 2019. The present review evaluates in vitro and in vivo data generated to date in the context of latest advances in understanding the primary function and biophysical behavior of these macromolecules. It also provides an overview of relevant synthetic and characterization methods, macromolecular biodegradation pathways, and polyphosphazene-based multi-component, nanoparticulate, and microfabricated formulations.Atherosclerosis is a kind of chronic inflammatory diseases characterized by dysfunction of local immune responses. Here we engineer platelet-derived extracellular vesicles (PEVs) to load MCC950, an NLRP3-inflammasome inhibitor, for atherosclerosis-targeted therapy. PEVs which are readily collected from the activated platelets selectively bind multiple cell types associated with the formation of atherosclerotic plaque in vivo. Intravenous administration of MCC950-PEVs could significantly reduce the formation of atherosclerotic plaques, lower the local inflammation and inhibit proliferation of macrophages and T cells at the plaque site compared with free drug administration in ApoE-KO ****.     Our results indicate that the overall species richness as well as the composition of ***** gut microbiota may be shaped by regular feeding with supplemented additives. On the Family and Genus level both additives (garlic extract and probiotics) seem to decrease microbiome diversity and richness. However, when it comes to garlic supplementation, we found the opposite trend on the Species level.

    The analysis of the selected microbial function indicates that both additives used in this study (garlic extract and composition of probiotics) seem to create a greater metabolic potential than estimated in a control group of sows. A general trend of losing or decreasing members of pathogenic species in the ***** microbiome seems to occur in relation to both supplemented additives. In the prevention of some bacterial diseases supplemented additives could be considered for future use.

    In Ontario, Canada, Indigenous communities experience some of the province's worst drinking water, with issues ranging from deteriorating water quality to regulatory problems and lack of support. When water is known, or suspected, to be unsafe for human consumption, communities are placed under a Drinking Water Advisory. Between 2004 and 2013, approximately 70% of all on-reserve communities in Ontario were under at least one Drinking Water Advisory. Despite the widespread impact of Drinking Water Advisories on health and wellbeing, little is known about First Nation individuals' perceptions and experiences living with a Drinking Water Advisory. This study presents information shared by members of a community who have lived with Boil Water Advisories on and off for many years, and a long-term Boil Water Advisory since 2017. The goal of this paper is to unpack and explore the Boil Water Advisories from the perspective of community members and provide considerations for current and future Boil Water Advisory mitionally, benefits of participatory research and community ownership include enhanced local research capacity, and increased awareness of, and desire for, research to inform decisions.
    A direct outcome was the identification of a critical need to reinforce best practices for health protection through community education and outreach. More broadly, Chief and Council were able to use the findings to successfully advocate for improved drinking water for the community. Additionally, benefits of participatory research and community ownership include enhanced local research capacity, and increased awareness of, and desire for, research to inform decisions.
    Guanxin V (GXV), a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), has been widely used to treat coronary artery disease (***) in clinical practice in China. However, research on the active components and underlying mechanisms of GXV in *** is still scarce.

    A virtual screening and network pharmacological approach was utilized for predicting the pharmacological mechanisms of GXV in ***. The active compounds of GXV based on various TCM-related databases were selected and then the potential targets of these compounds were identified. Then, after the *** targets were built through nine databases, a PPI network was constructed based on the matching GXV and *** potential targets, and the hub targets were screened by MCODE. Moreover, Metascape was applied to GO and KEGG functional enrichment. Finally, HPLC fingerprints of GXV were established.

    A total of 119 active components and 121 potential targets shared between *** and GXV were obtained. The results of functional enrichment indicated that several GO biological processes and KEGG pathways of GXV mostly participated in the therapeutic mechanisms. Furthermore, 7 hub MCODEs of GXV were collected as potential targets, implying the complex effects of GXV-mediated protection against ***. Six specific chemicals were identified.

    Tumour subtype has a significant effect on bone metastasis in breast cancer, but population-based estimates of the prognosis of patients with bone metastases at breast cancer diagnosis are lacking. The aim of this study was to analyse the influence of tumour subtype and other factors on the prognosis and survival of patients with bone metastases of breast cancer.

    Using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Program data from 2012 to 2016, a retrospective cohort study was conducted to investigate stage IV breast cancer patients with bone metastases. Stage IV patient characteristics according to subtype were compared using chi-square tests. Overall survival (OS) and prognostic factors were compared using the Kaplan-Meier method and the Cox proportional hazards model, respectively.

  • The purpose of this report is to describe the four ethical principles that will assist ACIP in formulating recommendations for the allocation of COVID-19 vaccine while supply is limited, in addition to scientific data and implementation feasibility 1) maximize benefits and minimize harms; 2) promote justice; 3) mitigate health inequities; and 4) promote transparency. These principles can also aid state, tribal, local, and territorial public health authorities as they develop vaccine implementation strategies within their own communities based on ACIP recommendations.The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends introducing complementary foods (i.e., any solid or liquid other than breast milk or infant formula) to infants at approximately age 6 months (1). Although a consensus on ideal timing is lacking, most experts agree that introduction of complementary foods before age 4 months is too early because of infant gastrointestinal and motor immaturity (1,2). In addition, early introduction prevents exclusively breastfed infants from reaching the recommended 6 months of exclusive breastfeeding (1) and might be associated with increased risk for overweight and obesity (3). Nationally representative data on complementary feeding are limited; state-level estimates have been previously unavailable. CDC analyzed 2016-2018 data from the National Survey of Children's Health (NSCH) (N = 23,927) to describe timing of complementary feeding introduction and prevalence of early introduction of complementary foods before age 4 months (early introduction) among children aged 1-5 years. Prevalence of early introduction was 31.9% nationally and varied geographically and across sociodemographic and infant feeding characteristics. These estimates suggest that many infants are introduced to complementary foods before they are developmentally ready. Approximately one third (34%) of 87 counties in Minnesota had at least one primary, secondary, or tertiary case associated with this rally.     The purpose of this report is to describe the four ethical principles that will assist ACIP in formulating recommendations for the allocation of COVID-19 vaccine while supply is limited, in addition to scientific data and implementation feasibility 1) maximize benefits and minimize harms; 2) promote justice; 3) mitigate health inequities; and 4) promote transparency. These principles can also aid state, tribal, local, and territorial public health authorities as they develop vaccine implementation strategies within their own communities based on ACIP recommendations.The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends introducing complementary foods (i.e., any solid or liquid other than breast milk or infant formula) to infants at approximately age 6 months (1).   • The cesarean section is utilized to deliver babies since the late 19th century. Nowadays, the frequency of cesarean section is increased, mainly because of the low rate of complications and for the increasing demand from future mothers, scared by the idea of painful labor. Although the technique to perform cesarean section has been refined over time, infections, hemorrhage, pain and other consequences still represent matter of debate. To try to reduce the incidence of these complications many trials, randomized or not, have been performed, with the aim to analyze different technical aspects of this surgery. The aim of our review was to resume all the evidence-based instructions on how to best approach to cesarean section practice, in a step-to-step fashion, considering pre-operative actions, opening and closing steps, and postoperative prophylaxis.
    The Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a new coronavirus detected in China at the end of 2019. Because SARS-CoV-2 is highly infectious due to contamination in the air, there is a high risk of infection in the dental environment which is represents a serious problem for professionals and students (dentistry and dental hygiene). In Italy, since February 23, 2020, the government has suspended all teaching activities of schools and universities.

    An anonymous questionnaire was administered to the students of the degree courses in Dental Hygiene of the Emilia Romagna Region, one of the most affected regions in Italy. The survey was intended to highlight the practical and emotional consequences of the emergency of COVID-19 on educational activities and in the training of students.

    The survey was sent to the 150 students enrolled in the universities of Bologna, Ferrara and Modena and Reggio Emilia; 141 of them completed it (94%). Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, several surveys have been proposed to measure the impact of this emergency situation on dental professionals; at present, however, there are still no assessments for dental hygiene degree courses, in particular aimed at assessing the psychological impact on students.

    Psoriasis is a chronic inflammation resulting from interactions between immunological and genetic factors. An important tolerogenic role in this autoimmunological disease is played by HLA-G, which is modulated by IL-10. Therefore, this study (N=80) aimed to evaluate changes in the serum sHLA-G and IL-10 levels in active psoriasis vulgaris and in the early stages of treatment with Methotrexate (MTX) compared to healthy controls. The 14-bp INDEL of the HLA-G gene was evaluated to find possible associations with clinical and laboratory variables.

    The level of sHLA-G and IL-10 in serum was evaluated (ELISA tests) in patients before the first dose of MTX and at week 12 of treatment, compared to healthy control donors. The 14-bp INDEL in 3'UTR of the HLA-G gene was identified using gDNA templates isolated from full blood. HLA-G amplicons were obtained by PCR, separated by electrophoresis and sequenced.

Studies on this topic are scarce. This study aimed to assess the impact of STIs different from HIV on QOL, mood and sexual functioning in the patients attending our STIs center in comparison with patients affected by chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).

This work presents an overview of the technological applications of microalgae for the treatment of wastewater from ***** farms and the by-products (pigments, polysaccharides, lipids, proteins) and services of commercial interest (biodiesel, biohydrogen, bioelectricity, biogas) generated during this process. Furthermore, the environmental benefits while applying microalgae technologies are discussed.Agriculture is responsive to weather and climate variability. In addition to the climatic stressors, coastal agriculture is influenced by non-climatic factors. Therefore, understanding farmers' perception of the causes of their changes in farm management plays a key role in motivating them to adopt agricultural adaptations. The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in coastal farm management in Bangladesh over the last decade compared to the previous one. We explored whether the causes of those changes were climatic or non-climatic as perceived by the farmers and the factors that shaped their perceptions. We interviewed 381 farmers sampled from ten subdistricts along the coast of Bangladesh. Descriptive statistics showed that the farmers had changed on average 10 to 11 farm management practices. Though the average value was 67%, a higher number of farmers in the western coastal zone mentioned that climate change had impacts on their farm management. Adoption of rice crop-related adaptations was greater than livestock, fisheries or general agricultural practices. According to the discriminant function analysis, discriminative variables were perception of climatic impacts on farm productivity, climate change awareness, involvement with non-farm jobs, age, education, organizational affiliation, number of changed farm practices, and meteorologically consistent perception of rainfall and temperature. To address this lack, since January 2018, students enrolled in planning-related courses offered by the University of West Florida Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences have engaged with stakeholders on the redevelopment of superfund sites located in Pensacola, FL under the auspices of the USEPA's College Underserved Community Partnership Program. The engagement centered on the reuse of two of these superfund sites for the betterment of the stakeholders' socio-economies and their biophysical environments. I focus in this paper on four examples of engaging with students in planning for superfund site remediation and redevelopment. The examples are of engaging with county staff; collaboratively engaging with city staff and a private firm; engaging with county commissioners; and engaging with a private firm between two superfund sites over the course of one year. I highlight the contextual, unique needs, of each stakeholder group yet emphasize the applicable lessons across all four examples. I also focus on best practices to develop plans and outlines for mutually beneficial products and outcomes for both students and stakeholder groups in the process of land revitalization.Recreational use of nature areas is increasing worldwide. All trail-based activities have a certain degradation effect on vegetation and soil, and conflicts between conservation values and recreation may occur. Controversy still exists regarding the relative impact of mountain bikers compared to hikers on trails. In this study, we manipulated the use intensity from hikers and mountain bikers on existing, natural-surfaced trails, and investigated effects of increased use and the relative importance of mountain biking on trail degradation. In two study sites, two trails were selected, one designated for hiking and one for biking. Passes were counted with TRAFx counters. The proportion of mountain bikers on the designated biking trails was on average 47%, and on the hiking trails 13%. To dampen these net negative effects, corresponding renewable energy thresholds were computed and discussed.

This work presents an overview of the technological applications of microalgae for the treatment of wastewater from swine farms and the by-products (pigments, polysaccharides, lipids, proteins) and services of commercial interest (biodiesel, biohydrogen, bioelectricity, biogas) generated during this process. In addition to the climatic stressors, coastal agriculture is influenced by non-climatic factors. Therefore, understanding farmers' perception of the causes of their changes in farm management plays a key role in motivating them to adopt agricultural adaptations. The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in coastal farm management in Bangladesh over the last decade compared to the previous one. We explored whether the causes of those changes were climatic or non-climatic as perceived by the farmers and the factors that shaped their perceptions. We interviewed 381 farmers sampled from ten subdistricts along the coast of Bangladesh. Descriptive statistics showed that the farmers had changed on average 10 to 11 farm management practices. Though the average value was 67%, a higher number of farmers in the western coastal zone mentioned that climate change had impacts on their farm management. Adoption of rice crop-related adaptations was greater than livestock, fisheries or general agricultural practices. According to the discriminant function analysis, discriminative variables were perception of climatic impacts on farm productivity, climate change awareness, involvement with non-farm jobs, age, education, organizational affiliation, number of changed farm practices, and meteorologically consistent perception of rainfall and temperature. To address this lack, since January 2018, students enrolled in planning-related courses offered by the University of West Florida Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences have engaged with stakeholders on the redevelopment of superfund sites located in Pensacola, FL under the auspices of the USEPA's College Underserved Community Partnership Program. The engagement centered on the reuse of two of these superfund sites for the betterment of the stakeholders' socio-economies and their biophysical environments. I focus in this paper on four examples of engaging with students in planning for superfund site remediation and redevelopment. The examples are of engaging with county staff; collaboratively engaging with city staff and a private firm; engaging with county commissioners; and engaging with a private firm between two superfund sites over the course of one year. I highlight the contextual, unique needs, of each stakeholder group yet emphasize the applicable lessons across all four examples. I also focus on best practices to develop plans and outlines for mutually beneficial products and outcomes for both students and stakeholder groups in the process of land revitalization.Recreational use of nature areas is increasing worldwide. All trail-based activities have a certain degradation effect on vegetation and soil, and conflicts between conservation values and recreation may occur. Controversy still exists regarding the relative impact of mountain bikers compared to hikers on trails. In this study, we manipulated the use intensity from hikers and mountain bikers on existing, natural-surfaced trails, and investigated effects of increased use and the relative importance of mountain biking on trail degradation. In two study sites, two trails were selected, one designated for hiking and one for biking. Passes were counted with TRAFx counters. The proportion of mountain bikers on the designated biking trails was on average 47%, and on the hiking trails 13%. Given the limited knowledge displayed by the communities, this study facilitates bridging KAP gaps to minimise disease burdens by strengthening public education.     In dentistry, imaging is the most frequently used diagnostic tool. As a result, a steady increase in the use of imaging modalities are leading to an increase in healthcare cost and in patients' radiation exposure.

    67-year-old patient attended for a surgical removal of lower left third molar. A sectioned panoramic radiograph showed an incidental finding of a well-defined, unilocular radiolucency apical to the lower left second and third molars. This was partially superimposed over the outline of the ID canal. A Stafne's bone cavity was considered as the most likely diagnosis. Further imaging was considered due to location not being fully below the ID canal as usually described in the literature. Reviewing previous imaging on PACS revealed the patient has had a CT angiogram of the head and neck 5 years prior. This showed a lingual bone defect of the surface of the mandible in the region of interest. The extension of the submandibular gland into the defect confirmed the likely nature of Stafne's bone cavity.

    This case highlights the essential role of reviewing (if in the same practice) or requesting (from a different practice) previous images. The international Commission for Radiological Protection regularly publishes data relating to the principles of dose reduction; Justification, Optimisation and Limitation. All examinations have to be justified to ensure the benefit to the patient outweigh the risk and radiation should be kept as low as reasonably achievable.

Surgeons generally agree that symptomatic masses or those with progressive growth should undergo surgical resection. We report a case of an accidental finding of an organized thymic hematoma in a 46-year-old female. At first totally asymptomatic, the hematoma was misdiagnosed for a thymic cyst and resected when it increased in size and compressed surrounding mediastinal structures. A detailed anamnesis highlighted a minor thoracic trauma which turned out to be the cause. Retrosternal hematoma generally grows several months after trauma and initial stabilization; therefore, it is mandatory to include an organized hematoma in the differential diagnosis of the retrosternal neoformations.Colonic adenomas are commonly encountered lesions that are a precursor of colorectal cancer. We present the case of a 68-year-old male with a rapidly enlarging hepatic artery aneurysm related to type B aortic dissection extending into the coeliac axis, which presented unique difficulties due to its morphology and filling via the false lumen. Endovascular treatment involved stent-graft placement from the coeliac axis into the splenic artery with the intention of excluding the coeliac supply to the common hepatic artery. Despite early stent-graft occlusion, the aneurysm was successfully excluded and adequate hepatic and splenic perfusion was maintained. They almost never cause heart failure, unless there is associated congenital heart disease or the ductus venosus in patent. We present an unusual case of IAPF in an 11-day-old boy, who presented with features of cardiac failure associated with increased N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT pro-BNP). The IAPF arose directly from the aorta, separated from the hepatic artery and divided to separately supply both left and right portal veins. The ductus venosus was occluded. The IAPF was treated with embolization of the aorto-portal fistula, accessed through a direct percutaneous puncture of the fistula. Embolization was associated with an immediate clinical improvement and a rapid and sustained normalization of the NT pro-BNP level. A similar re-presentation was noted and treated with repeat embolization. The child is well on follow-up. To our knowledge, this is the first case of cIAPF, which was presented with cardiac failure when the ductus venosus has closed and has been treated successfully with direct, percutaneous transhepatic embolization of the fistula, twice.

Surgeons generally agree that symptomatic masses or those with progressive growth should undergo surgical resection. We report a case of an accidental finding of an organized thymic hematoma in a 46-year-old female. At first totally asymptomatic, the hematoma was misdiagnosed for a thymic cyst and resected when it increased in size and compressed surrounding mediastinal structures. A detailed anamnesis highlighted a minor thoracic trauma which turned out to be the cause. We present the case of a 68-year-old male with a rapidly enlarging hepatic artery aneurysm related to type B aortic dissection extending into the coeliac axis, which presented unique difficulties due to its morphology and filling via the false lumen. Endovascular treatment involved stent-graft placement from the coeliac axis into the splenic artery with the intention of excluding the coeliac supply to the common hepatic artery. Despite early stent-graft occlusion, the aneurysm was successfully excluded and adequate hepatic and splenic perfusion was maintained. We present an unusual case of IAPF in an 11-day-old boy, who presented with features of cardiac failure associated with increased N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT pro-BNP). The IAPF arose directly from the aorta, separated from the hepatic artery and divided to separately supply both left and right portal veins. The ductus venosus was occluded. The IAPF was treated with embolization of the aorto-portal fistula, accessed through a direct percutaneous puncture of the fistula. Embolization was associated with an immediate clinical improvement and a rapid and sustained normalization of the NT pro-BNP level. A similar re-presentation was noted and treated with repeat embolization. The child is well on follow-up. To our knowledge, this is the first case of cIAPF, which was presented with cardiac failure when the ductus venosus has closed and has been treated successfully with direct, percutaneous transhepatic embolization of the fistula, twice.

  • Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS) is a common neonatal condition in premature infants. Its treatment often requires the use of surfactants. The administration of surfactants has evolved to less invasive surfactant administration (LISA) methods in recent years. Nasal high frequency oscillatory ventilation (nHFOV) is also a good new technology for respiratory support. The use of LISA combined with nHFOV for RDS has not been reported.

    A 970 g male infant who was born at 29 weeks of gestational age suffered progressive dyspnea immediately after birth.

    According to his clinical symptoms, X-ray, and blood gas analysis results, the extremely low birth weight infant was diagnosed with RDS and deep hypercapnic acidosis.

    Less invasive surfactant administration combined with nasal high frequency oscillatory ventilation was utilized in the infant. The mean airway pressure (Paw) was set at 7 cm H2O, amplitude (ΔP) was set at grade 5.5 (level set according to the perception of vibration of the chest wall), frequency was set at 8 Hz, inspiratory time (Ti) was set at 33%, and FiO2 was set at 0.30.

    The patient's pCO2 dropped to 90.9 mm Hg in 2 hours and to 57.8 mm Hg in the following 4.5 hours; the patient was weaned from nHFOV after 12 hours. On day 61, the patient was discharged and free of respiratory symptoms.

    A 36-year-old male patient presented with dryness and scales on his whole body.

    The patient was diagnosed with MF based on results of pathological examination, immunohistochemical staining, and T-cell receptor gene rearrangement test.

    The patient was advised to take an herbal medicine orally twice daily and apply a topical moisturizer after showering.

    After treatment and follow-up, the patient's symptoms of dryness and scales improved and his condition stabilized.

Thyroid sclerosing mucoepidermoid carcinoma with eosinophilia is also a rare low grade malignant thyroid neoplasm. To date, comorbidity of these 2 tumors in the thyroid gland has not been reported in the English literature.

    Here, we present a case of a 67-year-old women with a 6-month history of mass of left neck. She complained of a painless mass in the right neck.

    Based on histopathological examination of H&E stained sections, immunohistochemical staining assay and molecular tests, the patient was diagnosed with ATC combined with sclerosing mucoepidermoid carcinoma with eosinophilia.

    The patient underwent radical surgery for thyroid cancer.

    No complications, local recurrence or metastases were observed during a 1 year and 3 months follow-up after surgery.

    Lenvatinib (LEN) is a novel potent multi-tyrosine kinase inhibitor, approved as first-line treatment for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Considering its high objective response rate, LEN therapy could be expected to achieve downstaging of tumors and lead to conversion therapy with hepatectomy or ablation. However, the feasibility of conversion therapy after LEN treatment in unresectable HCC remains largely unknown.

    Here, we reported 3 cases of unresectable HCC case 1, a 69-year-old man diagnosed with ruptured HCC; case 2, a 72-year-old woman with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis-based HCC; and case 3, a 73-year-old man with a history of alcoholic cirrhosis-based HCC.

    In all cases, cirrhosis was classified as Child-Pugh 5 and modified albumin-bilirubin grade 1 or 2a. HCC was diagnosed as Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer (BCLC) stage B.

    In all cases, LEN was initiated after conventional-transcatheter arterial embolization enforcement, while maintaining liver function.

    In all cases, the main tumor size decreased after 6 months of LEN treatment and no satellite nodes were detected, indicating downstaging of HCC to BCLC stage A.

Differentially methylated genes (DMGs) at 5'-C-phosphate-G- 3' (CpG) sites and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were screened and the overlapping genes in DMGs and DEGs were then subject to gene set enrichment analysis. Next, the weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) was used to search hub DMGs associated with ccRCC. Cox regression and ROC analyses were performed to screen potential biomarkers and develop a prognostic model b survival for ccRCC patients.N6-methyladenosine (m6A) modification is the most abundant modification on eukaryotic RNA. In recent years, lots of studies have reported that m6A modification and m6A RNA methylation regulators were involved in cancer progression. Then we performed a univariate Cox regression analysis and LASSO (least absolute shrinkage and selection operator) Cox regression model to investigate the prognostic role of m6A regulators in ESCA, and the results indicated that a two-gene prognostic signature including ALKBH5 and HNRNPA2B1 could predict overall survival of ESCA patients. Moreover, HNRNPA2B1 is higher expressed in high-risk scores subtype of ESCA, indicating that HNRNPA2B1 may be involved in ESCA development. Subsequently, we confirmed that the level of m6A and HNRNPA2B1 was significantly increased in ESCA. We also found that HNRNPA2B1 expression positively correlated with tumor diameter and lymphatic metastasis of ESCA. Moreover, functional study showed that knockdown of HNRNPA2B1 inhibited the proliferation, migration, and invasion of ESCA. Mechanistically, we found that knockdown of HNRNPA2B1 inhibited the expression of de novo fatty acid synthetic enzymes, ACLY and ACC1, and subsequently suppressed cellular lipid accumulation. Patients were divided into TARGIT group and EBRT group according to different radiotherapy methods. The OS rates at 1, 3, and 5 years were 87.4, 73.3, and 61.5% for patients who underwent SR, respectively, and 89.9, 42.4, and 23.9%, respectively, for patients who received RFA. CSS rates at 1, 3, and 5 years were 91.5, 73.8, and 66.1%, respectively, for the SR group and 93.5, 53.4, and 30.0%, respectively, for the RFA group. The OS and CSS rates were evaluated to be significantly better in the SR group than in the RFA group after the multivariate Cox regression and IPTW analysis. We examined overall and ED subtype-specific associations among suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, and general and specific aspects of emotion dysregulation in a large sample of individuals with ED, at presentation for treatment and 1-year follow-up.

    Using registry data from 2,406 patients, scores on the Difficulties in Emotion Dysregulation Scale (DERS) at initial registration were examined as predictors of recent suicidal ideation and self-report lifetime suicide attempts. Associations were examined in the full sample and in each ED subtype. In 406 patients, initial DERS scores were examined as predictors of suicidality at 1-year follow-up.

    Overall DERS was associated with suicidal ideation and suicide attempts, even when adjusting for ED psychopathology and current depression. Perceived lack of emotion rega risk trait for future suicidality that applies transdiagnostically. Results support addressing emotion dysregulation in treatment in order to reduce suicidality.

There were 2049 children less then 10 kg, with the predominant diagnosis being congenital heart disease (CHD) (59.8% [n=1226]) and 28.1% (n=577) requiring MCS. Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) was the most common form of MCS at listing, with ventricular assist device (VAD) more common after listing. There was no difference in the use of ECMO at or after listing for cardiomyopathy versus CHD (8.9% versus 7.2%; P=0.2; 5.4% versus 6.4%; P=0.4). However, there was a significant difference in the use of VAD both at listing (8% versus 2.4%; P less then 0.001) and after (22.8% versus 5.1%; P less then 0.001) between the 2 groups. When comparing these groups, patients with CHD were smaller and younger and had a higher proportion with previous cardiac surgery. Survival at 3 months demonstrated better survival for VAD therapy compared with ECMO (74.3% versus 48.6%; P less then 0.001). In patients less then 5 kg, survival did not differ between ECMO and VAD (P=0.01) for the CHD or the cardiomyopathy group (P=0.38), but patients with cardiomyopathy demonstrated better survival on both forms of support.     The WEB device offers another option for treating wide neck bifurcation aneurysms (WNBA). The objective was to compare procedure variables, radiation and implant cost between WEB and stent assisted coiling (SAC) for WNBA.

    A retrospective comparison of similarly sized WNBA treated with SAC or WEB over 5-years was performed. The operating room (arrival-departure), anesthesia (intubation-extubation), procedure duration (puncture-closure), fluoroscopy time and radiation dose(m-Gy) were recorded from the patients' charts. We diagnosed him with a ruptured dissecting aneurysm of the left intracranial VA and performed endovascular parent artery occlusion on the left VA. For the right unruptured VA aneurysm, we performed coil embolization simultaneously. At 2 weeks after the endovascular treatment, follow-up DSA revealed that multiple
    dissecting aneurysms developed on the origin of the left VA and left and right internal thoracic arteries. Those aneurysms were treated with coil embolization. For the right unruptured VA aneurysm, we performed coil embolization simultaneously. Those aneurysms were treated with coil embolization. Other remaining aneurysms on the left thyrocervical trunk, right transverse cervical artery, and both common iliac arteries were treated by conservative therapy. While continuing medical treatment for RA, the patient recovered and was discharged to a rehabilitation hospital. Methods and Results Consecutive patients presenting to our center with a first event of a regular sustained monomorphic VT (n=59) or a regular supraventricular tachycardia (SVT; n=109) between January 2012 and September 2019 were interviewed regarding their symptoms during the arrhythmic event. We included only patients with a first arrhythmic event to avoid the influence of previous medical encounters on our patients' terminology. As expected, patients with VT were older (age 68.8±13.6 versus 52.6±16.8 years; P less then 0.001), more often of male sex (94.9% versus 37.6%; P less then 0.001), had lower left ventricular ejection fraction (37±11% versus 59±2%, P less then 0.001) and more comorbidities (87.6% versus 40.5%; P less then 0.001) compared with patients with SVT. Importantly, even though the heart rate upon presentation did not differ between the 2 groups (165±26 beats/min during VT versus 171±32 beats/min during SVT; P=0.16), symptomatology differed significantly; specifically, palpitations were reported in only 8.8% of VT patients, compared with 90.7% of SVT patients (P less then 0.001). Common symptoms in the VT group included chest pain (64%), dyspnea (21%), and dizziness (26%). Conclusions Despite similar heart rate, patients with VT rarely report having palpitations, whereas patients with SVT do so commonly. Researchers categorized tweets as either a disclosure of victimization (N = 6) or a response to this hashtag (N = 275). When responding to the hashtag, users commented on the emotional impact of victimization, provided positive responses within the forum (i.e., advocacy, call to action, raising awareness, and prosocial reactions), and also engaged in negative responses within the forum (i.e., distracting attention away from the experiences of victims, egocentric responses which called attention to themselves or others, and otherwise harmful reactions).
