The difference is the Madden 20 coins Show appears to be making advancements or is already at such a level that is excellent that it's fine. Regrettably Madden discovered the model while they had/have the monopoly so the franchise mode just got disregarded.
The handling of Diamond Dynasty of the Show is pretty good. I've never been big about these modes whatsoever and haven't even touched...
