The gambling addiction problem, one which is present worldwide and at all social levels, is one of the most pervasive problems in contemporary society. According to the research literature, gambling addiction is determined by other psychiatric disorders. In the present study, we investigate the degree to which gambling can be predicted by depression and anxiety in a Romanian sample. The study has been conducted on a sample of 920 persons in the general population. Results show that depression predicts gambling in proportion of 26.3 percent, while anxiety predicts 31.5 percent of gambling variance. In the discussion portion of the study, we provide a psyhological interpretation of the results.ATF3 is an essential transcription activator in regulating cancer-related genetic expression. To identify the role of ATF3 in ovarian tumor, we investigated the correlation between ATF3 expression and the clinicopathological properties using multiple database. The cBioPortal and GEPIA database displayed the clinical information of ovarian patients harboring or without harboring ATF3 mutation. Furthermore, we assessed the relationship between survival and ATF3 expression level using Kaplan-Meier plotter, which reveals that the ovarian patients with higher expression of ATF3 suffered the worse overall survival and progression-free survival. The differentially expressed genes were analyzed using gene ontology, protein-protein interaction network, and gene set enrichment analysis to identify the hub gene and critical pathways, significantly affecting the tumorigenesis of ovarian tumor. Finally, we assessed the correlation between ATF3 and immune cell infiltration using Tumor Immunoassay Resource (TIMER) database. The results demonstrated that higher expression has a positive correlation with macrophage infiltration, expression for M1- and M2-type macrophages. Our study suggests that ATF3 can regulate the cell cycle and heme-related oxidative phosphorylation process, and it may be a critical factor to regulate the macrophage cell to be infiltrated into ovarian cancer. ATF3 can be used as a biomarker for diagnosis and therapy of ovarian tumor.
This study aims to evaluate the long-term results of sliding shape extraocular muscle transposition, which is a novel operation method of delivering both vascular protection and strengthening of the muscles and transposition of the muscles.

The patients' files were scanned retrospectively. All patients underwent a complete eye examination in addition to motility examination, both preoperatively and postoperatively. Patients were followed up for at least 1year. Pre- and postoperative deviation measurement values and transposition effects were compared statistically. The two parameters were evaluated separately.

In patients where 7-mm (or greater) resection was planned, the complete muscle widening transposition procedure was successful. Only two-thirds of transpositions could be achieved in patients who underwent less than 7mm of strengthening. There was no anterior segment ischemia in the patients who underwent three rectus' muscle surgery in the same eye. Transposition effects were perfect in those whose vertical deviation was not due to monocular elevation deficiency. While resection effect was excellent in those MED (monocular elevation deficiency) and CEOMF (congenital extraocular muscle fibrosis) cases, transposition effects were limited but found at similar rates as with the standard resection and transposition procedures in CCDD (congenital cranial dis-innervation diseases) (R2-1).

The purpose of this study was to analyze the states of stress and mental fatigue using data fusion while e-sport activity. In the study, ten volunteers performed e-sport duty which required both physical and mental effort and skills for 2 min. Volunteers' electroencephalogram (EEG), galvanic skin response (GSR), heart rate variability (HRV), and eye tracking data were obtained before and during game and then were analyzed. In addition, the effects of e-sports were evaluated with visual analogue scale and d2 attention tests. The d2 tests are performed after the game, and the game has a positive effect on attention and concentration. By evaluating HRV and GSR together, it was seen that the emotional processes of the participants were stressed in some and excited in others. Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) is a proven therapy for Parkinson's Disease (PD), frequently resulting in an enhancement of motor function. Nonetheless, several undesirable side effects can occur after DBS, which can worsen the quality of life of the patient. Thus, the clinical team has to carefully select patients on whom to perform DBS. Over the past decade, there have been some attempts to relate pre-operative data and DBS clinical outcomes, with most focused on the motor symptomatology. In this paper, we propose a machine learning-based method able to predict a large number of DBS clinical outcomes for PD.

We propose a multimodal pipeline, referred to as PassFlow, which predicts 84 clinical post-operative clinical scores. PassFlow is composed of an artificial neural network to compress clinical information, an image processing method from the state-of-the-art to extract morphological biomarkers our of T1 imaging, and an SVM to perform the regressions. We validated PassFlow on 196 PD patients who undergone a DBS.
