The mellitic triimide (MTI) bearing three imide groups on a benzene core with C3 symmetry is proposed as a new building block for organic electrode materials in LIBs. MTI delivers a higher theoretical specific capacity up to 282 mAh g -1 with more increased reduction potentials than the well-known pyromellitic diimide building block because the additional imide group can accept one more electron and provide the electron-withdrawing effect. A model compound, ethyl-substituted mellitic triimide (ETTI), shows well distinguished and reversible three one-electron redox reactions at -0.97, -1.62 and -2.34 V vs. Ag/Ag + in 0.1 M TBAHFP electrolyte, but the redox potentials are **** more increased in 2 M LiTFSI electrolyte, which are -0.60, -0.86 and -1.42 V vs. Ag/Ag + . The DFT calculation reveals that the unique C3 symmetric structural design leads to the more elevated reduction potential of MTI in the Li-based electrolyte by formation of a stable 7-membered ring with a Li-ion and the two carbonyl oxygen atoms. In a Li-ion coin cell, the ETTI electrode delivers a specific capacity of 176 mAh g -1 , corresponding 81% of capacity utilization, with clear three voltage plateaus. The elevated average discharge voltage (2.41 V vs. Li/Li + ) of ETTI allows it to deliver one of the highest specific energy (421 Wh kg -1 ) among reported diimide-based electrode materials. Finally, its redox mechanism is investigated by ex-situ FT-IR measurements and DFT calculation. © 2020 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. The appealing characteristics of silk spinning include the sustainable sourcing of the protein material, the all-aqueous processing into fibers, and the unique material properties of silks in various formats. Substantial progress has been made to mimic silk spinning in artificial manufacturing processes, despite the gap between natural and artificial systems. This report emphasizes the universal spinning conditions utilized by both spiders and silkworms to generate silk fibers in nature, as a scientific and technical framework for directing molecular assembly into high-performance structures. The preparation of regenerated silk feedstocks and mimicking native spinning conditions in artificial manufacturing are discussed, as is progress and challenges in fiber spinning and 3D printing of silk-composites. La intervención quirúrgica es más compleja que la intervención médica respecto a aspectos especiales relacionados con los procedimientos. No se ha realizado ningún estudio transversal de la calidad de las revisiones sistemáticas de ensayos aleatorizados quirúrgicos enfocado a evaluar aspectos especiales relacionados con las intervenciones quirúrgicas. MÉTODOS Se realizó una encuesta transversal de revisiones sistemáticas de ensayos quirúrgicos aleatorizados publicados en el 2007 o el 2017 mediante una búsqueda en PubMed. La calidad del informe se evaluó mediante la lista de verificación PRISMA que incluía 27 variables relacionadas con detalles de la intervención. Se realizó un análisis de regresión lineal univariable y multivariable para explorar qué factores de la lista de verificación era indicadores de la calidad de los informes. RESULTADOS Se identificaron 204 revisiones sistemáticas. La mediana (rango intercuartílico) de la puntuación PRISMA fue de 22 (20, 24), y las revisiones sistemáticas publicadas en el 2017 tuvieron una puntuación significativamente más alta que las de 2007 (22 (21, 24) versus 20 (17, 22) P less then 0,001)). De las 27 variables, 15 se informaron adecuadamente y 3 se informaron mal en menos del 50% de las publicaciones. La proporción entre las otras variables varió entre el 55,4% y el 78,3%. En el análisis multivariable, las revisiones sistemáticas publicadas en el 2017 se asociaron con informes mejores (coeficiente 0,59, i.c. del 95% 0,50 a 0,69) y Cochrane (coeficiente 0,67, i.c. del 95% 0,55 a 0,81). CONCLUSIÓN La calidad de los informes de las revisiones sistemáticas de ensayos quirúrgicos aleatorizados ha mejorado en los últimos 10 años. The are three requisites for a substitute of milk in CMA tolerability, nutritional adequacy, and cost-effectiveness. We evaluate here the tolerability of a new amino acid-based infant formula for the management of CMA. METHODS In a phase III/IV prospective, multicentre, open-label, international study, infants and children with immunoglobulin E-mediated CMA were exposed to a diagnostic double-blinded, placebo-controlled food challenge with a new amino acid formula by Blemil Plus Elemental using Neocate as the placebo. If tolerant to it, the study formula was integrated into the patients' usual daily diet for 7 days. Efficacy on day 7 was assessed in terms of symptoms associated with CMA, amount of formula consumed, nutritional and energy intake, and anthropometric data. RESULTS Thirty children (17 M and 13 F; median age, 1.58; range, 0.08-12.83 years) completed the open challenge and were able to consume the study formula for at least 7 days. No signs or symptoms of allergic reactions were recorded among children assuming either the test or the control formula, with a lower 95% one-sided confidence interval for the proportion of subjects who did not experience allergic reactions above 90%.
