We anticipate that these methods will be useful for cross-study synthesis of stability data, extrapolating measurements to unobserved scales, and identifying underlying causes and consequences of heterogeneity.Patient-derived xenograft (PDX) assay has been widely used in preclinical research in patients with multidrug-resistant lung cancer. One hundred patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) were divided into MiniPDX group and conventional group, with 50 cases in each group. The MiniPDX assay was established by enriching high-purity tumor cells using microfluidic technology to detect the drug sensitivity of NSCLC cells. All patients underwent conventional computed tomography (CT) scans of lung and mediastinum at baseline and during follow-up. Kaplan-Meier method was used to compare the overall survival and progression-free survival of two groups. The sensitivity of the same drug in different tumor xenograft varied greatly. The overall survival, progression-free survival, and clinical benefit rate of patients in the MiniPDX-guided chemotherapy group were significantly longer than those in the conventional chemotherapy group. MiniPDX assay may be an effective tool for screening chemotherapy regimens in NSCLC patients.
Evaluation the moral courage, moral sensitivity and safe nursing care in nurses caring of infected patients by the COVID-19.

This study employed cross-sectional research.

520 nurses caring for COVID-19 patients in 5 hospitals were selected via convenience sampling. They completed questionnaires online. Data were analysed by SPSS software version 22.

Findings showed that moral courage has a strong and direct correlation with moral sensitivity (p<.001, r=0-.70) and safe nursing care (p<.001, r=0-.74). Variables of moral sensitivity, safe nursing care, work experience, age and employment status can predict 64.76% of the variance in moral courage in these nurses. Nursing care of patients with COVID-19 have reported high moral courage in recent months, and in spite of the numerous tensions and stresses in terms of caring these patients during this relative long period, they are still diligent in providing safe and high sensitive care to these patients.

Neuromodulatory therapies targeting sensory trigeminal and central pain pathways may help treat chronic ocular pain refractory to traditional therapies. The current study evaluates the long-term effects of a trigeminal neurostimulator (TNS) on ocular pain.

Retrospective review of 18 individuals at the Miami Veterans Affairs Eye Clinic with chronic, severe ocular pain who were prescribed and used TNS at home for ≥3 months. The primary outcome measures were 1) ocular symptom intensity over a 24-hour recall period (dryness, pain, light sensitivity, wind sensitivity, burning; rated on 0-10 scales) captured pre-TNS and at monthly follow-up intervals and 2) side effects. The frequency and duration of TNS was a secondary outcome measure.

The mean age of the population (n = 18) was 57.5 years (range, 34-85 years) with a male majority (67%). Two individuals discontinued use due to lacvere, chronic ocular pain. Further studies using flow cytometry and quantitative polymerase chain reaction demonstrated that both miR-25-5p overexpression and ABCA1 inhibition led to elevated levels of specific markers of endothelial cells, with concomitant downregulation of smooth muscle cell markers.
