The results indicated that there was a significant increase in ROS contents accompanied by markedly decreased THC and PO levels (P  less then  0.01) in a dose- and time- dependent manner. The evolutionarily conserved CBS and NF-κB p65 showed obvious difference (P  less then  0.01) (including cellular distribution and expression level) between the healthy and pathological conditions based on IHC analysis. Even small change of endogenous H2S content may be closely related to NF-κB p65 level and PO activity (P  less then  0.01). There was significantly negative correlation (P  less then  0.05) between PO activity and expression levels of CBS and NF-κB p65. Obviously, crayfish innate immunity was a highly complex network of various cells, molecules, and signaling pathways which operate, at least partly, through small signaling molecules such as H2S. ROS-mediated CBS/H2S/NF-κB pathway probably allowed hepatopancreas to inhibit PO activity under cadmium stress. Automated vehicles (AVs), the wide adoption of which is expected to improve traffic safety significantly, are penetrating our roads. The AVs that are testing on public roads have been bullied by human road users. We are not sure whether the bullying incidents are isolated or will be common in the future. In a cross-national survey (N = 998 drivers in China and South Korea), we developed an eleven-item bullying intention questionnaire. We assumed and confirmed that, overall, participants had a greater intention to bully machine drivers than to bully other human drivers. Compared to the Korean participants, the Chinese participants reported a greater intention to drive aggressively. We combined test and spontaneous language data from a large cohort of children who stutter (CWS) and typically fluent peers, gathered from independent laboratories across the US, to appraise a variety of lexical measures. METHOD Standardized receptive and expressive vocabulary test data and spontaneous language samples from 99 pairs of CWS (ages 25-100 months), and age-, gender-, and SES-matched children who do not stutter (CWNS) were compared. Language sample transcripts were analyzed with four measures of lexical diversity. Correlations between lexical diversity measures and expressive vocabulary scores were also calculated. RESULTS On standardized tests of both receptive and expressive vocabulary, there were significant differences between CWS and CWNS. In contrast, on spontaneous language measures of lexical diversity, CWS did not differ in their lexical diversity, across analyses, compared to CWNS. Three of the four lexical diversity analyses, MATTR, VocD, and NDW, were significantly correlated with each other. CONCLUSIONS We were able to confirm prior findings of relative disadvantage on standardized vocabulary tests for a very large sample of well-matched CWS. However, spontaneous language measures of lexical diversity did not distinguish the groups. This relative weakness in CWS may emerge from task differences CWS are free to encode their own spontaneous utterances but must comply with explicit lexical prompts in standardized testing situations. METHODS 69 adults completed one of two tasks (1) a Sternberg WM task, whereby participants had to remember a string of letters over a 4-sec delay or no delay, and (2) the TGT task, whereby participants internally generated or listened to a function of an object. WM data were analyzed in isolation and then with the TGT data, using multi-experiment constrained princfunctions by allowing direct comparisons of activity across different cognitive domains. Here, we explored the association between mind-wandering and visual hallucinations in Parkinson's disease, and their relationship with brain network coupling. We administered a validated thought-sampling task to 38 Parkinson's disease patients (18 with hallucinations; 20 without) and 40 controls, to test the hypothesis that individuals with hallucinations experience an increased frequency of mind-wandering. Group differences in the association between mind-wandering frequency and brain network coupling were also examined using resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging.
