Tissue fluoride levels of the hippocampus, neocortex, cerebellum, spinal cord, and sciatic nerve increased significantly in fluoride fed rats. Transmission electron microscopy in the experimental animals revealed axon deterioration, myelin sheath degeneration, and dark cells with scanty cytoplasm in the spinal cord and sciatic nerve. Additionally, vacuolated swollen mitochondria were observed in the neocortex, hippocampus, and cerebellum. Results suggest excess fluoride intake modulates a set of biological marker and promote neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative condition in Wister rats. Therefore, 3D printed Bowtie antenna structures were developed, which yield low cost and smaller sizes. PLA, PLA/copper, and PLA/carbon substrates were produced with a 3D printer. These materials were tested in terms of their dielectric constants between 1 and 10 GHz. The conductive part of the antenna was copper, with a thickness of 0.8 mm, which was embedded in the substrate parts. The reflection coefficients of the antennas were tested within 0-3 GHz frequency range via miniVNA network analyzer. The results show that the 3D printed PLA/copper and PLA/carbon antenna are highly suitable for the usage in biomedical imaging systems.The incidence of sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (AKI) is on the rise. ATIII levels were obtained within 48 h after admission to the ICU and before the diagnosis of sepsis-associated AKI was recorded. Renal function was assessed by measuring serum creatinine levels and urine volume. Male sex, other cardiovascular disease, and low ATIII levels were identified as independent risk factors for AKI. In current research, Bacillus licheniformis KIBGE-IB3 was screened for pectinase, xylanase, cellulase, and amylase production using date fruit wastes as substrate through solid state fermentation.
The B. licheniformis KIBGE-IB3 produced higher concentration of pectinase using date fruit wastes as substrate as compared to amylase, cellulase, and xylanase. B. licheniformis KIBGE-IB3 produced maximum pectinase using 5.0 g/dl date fruit wastes and 0.5 g/dl yeast extract. B. licheniformis KIBGE-IB3 required pH 7.0, 37 °C incubation temperature, and 72 h incubation period for maximum production of pectinase.

Dye pulsed light (DPL) was proven to be effective at treating erythematous and telangiectatic skin disorders. However, there are limited data on the efficacy of DPL treatment for erythematotelangiectatic rosacea (ETR), and researchers do not fully understand the factors that may affect the efficacy. Here, we performed a study to investigate the efficacy of DPL treatment for ETR and determine the factors affecting that efficacy.
Sixty-five patients with ETR underwent three treatment sessions with DPL at 4-week intervals and were followed up at 4weeks after the last treatment session. Skin type, sex, age, lesion site, severity of erythema and telangiectasia, VISIA percentile ranking, clinical photographs and red area images were recorded at baseline. The post-treatment erythematous and telangiectatic scores and VISIA percentile rankings were recorded, and the effects of different personal and clinical factors on the efficacy were statistically analysed.
