This study aimed to develop emulsification assisted with ultrasonic atomization (EUA) to make embolic biodegradable poly(caprolactone) (PCL) spherical-microcarriers with uniform particle size for mass production which was used to cure hepatocellular carcinoma, because this kind of embolic drugs is expensive at the current market due to their complex manufacturing process. The embolic spherical-microcarriers with sustained-releasing therapeutic agents can shrink an unresectable tumor into a respectable size. Through high frequency vibrating surface on the ultrasonic atomizer nozzle, the thin liquid film for PCL oil-phase solution was broken into the uniform PCL microdroplets (particle sizes are from 20 to 55 μm) with less medicine loss. To determine the optimal parameters to make PCL microcarriers, the ultrasonic module parameters including the concentration of PCL solution, vibrating amplitude of atomizer, feeding rate of PCL oil-phase solution and collection distance on the particle size of microdroplets were analyzed. Besides, a vertical circulation flow field of aqueous-phase poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) solution was created to enhance the separation of the microdroplets and increase the production of the PCL microcarriers, and about 8~11 wt% of PVA solution with high stable dispersion property was used to effectively improve the yield rate of PCL spherical-microcarriers (89.8~98.2 wt%). The final particle size of PCL microcarriers was ca. 5-18 μm, indicating an about 25-50% volume shrinkage from microdroplets to solid spherical-microcarriers.Tin dioxide nanoclusters are very effective as catalysts for various reactions including CO₂ conversion and Friedel-Crafts acylation for pharmaceuticals. The nanoarchitectonics of SnO₂ could be controlled by different synthetic strategies. In the current article, we have presented synthesis of SnO₂ nanoclusters and their applications in catalysis. We have also reviewed computational studies on SnO₂ nanoclusters for using them in nanoarchitectonics and catalytic conversion of CO₂ to useful chemicals. Optimized structures of various cluster sizes are presented. The present and future perspectives of SnO₂ catalysts in biomass conversions are also given. To construct a dual-targeting (magnetic targeting and antibody targeting) multi-functional magnetic fluorescent liposome probe with a good biocompatibility and high specificity for early liver cancerdiagnosis. 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-ethanolamine-N-[amino(polyethylene glycol)] (DSPE-PEG2000-NH2) and Cyanine7 N-hydroxysuccinimide ester (Cy7-NHS) were measured and reacted for forming DSPE-PEG2000-Cy7. Egg yolk lecithin, cholesterol, DSPE-PEG2000-Cy7 and Fe₃O₄ were added in orderly into the reaction solution for synthesis of fluorescent ferroferric oxide (Fe₃O₄) liposome. The Magnetic liposome (MLP) was coupled with Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) polyclonal antibody and the ending AFP antibody modified magnetic liposome was analyzed and studied on human hepatoma cell HepG2 and cancer model mouse. The fluorescent ferroferric oxide liposome appeared as a sphericalmorphology and they were about 150 nm in mean hydrodynamic diameter with negative charge. The fluorescent magnetic probe had a little toxic effect on hepG2 cells and increased the specificity liver cancer diagnosis by AFP antibody target imaging in model mouse of liver cancer. In brief, the AFP antibody conjugated fluorescent magnetic probe is a promising multi-functional tool with good biocompatibility and high sensitivity and specificity for clinical cancer diagnosis and therapy.Characteristics of picosecond laser processing for poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) are studied in this text. Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) can be applied to micro- or nano-scale electronic devices. Short-pulsed laser is usually used for noncontact processing of nanoscale patterning of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA). This study considers optical energy of laser to be transferred into decomposition energy of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA). Using the condition of the energy balance at the decomposition interface, the variation of the ablation rate with the logarithm of the laser fluence is calculated for poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) and agrees with the measured data. This study also discusses parametric effects of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) on the variation of the ablation rate with the logarithm of the laser fluence. We demonstrate the biochip efficacies of three different polymer films (agarose, poly(oligo(ethylene glycol) methacrylate) (pOEGMA), and poly(2-hydroxyethyl metacharylate) (pHEMA) on microscopic glass surfaces. As a result, the non-biofouling performances increased in this order agarose less then pOEGMA less then pHEMA, and the binding capabilities increased in this order pHEMA less then pOEGMA less then agarose.Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) patterned with 70 × 70 nm² square arrays were etched in a CH₄/O₂/Ar gas mixture by pulse-modulated inductively coupled plasma reactive ion etching (ICPRIE). A good etch profile of MTJs with etch slope of approximately 82° was achieved by adjusting the on-off duty ratio of the plasma and pulse frequency. Langmuir probe analysis and optical emission spectroscopy confirmed that the balance between the formation of the passivation layer as an etch byproduct and sputtering effect is responsible for the etch selectivity and etch profile with a high degree of anisotropy. It is concluded that the application of pulse-modulated plasma on ICPRIE can be an effective method to obtain the anisotropic etch profile of nanometer-scale MTJs.In this paper, two new kinds of hydroxy aminimide were nanoscale synthesized utilizing Unsymmetrical dimethyl hydrazine (UDMH) and economical carboxylic acid methyl ester was analyzed through one pot reaction. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/mdl-28170.html The reaction conditions were examined and the best reaction temperature was 20 °C with the reaction time of 60 h, achieving a highest yield of 83.21% for the two aminimides. Structures of the final products are characterized by GC-MS, FT-IR and NMR. Then the thermal stability of the aminimide is tested and it is found that the decomposition temperature of one aminimide is 65.20 °C, which is better than any other aminimides used for the latent curing agent of epoxide resin.
