Unfavourable communication increases missed nursing care. Oncology wards have more communication complexity than general wards; therefore, creating a positive communication environment is important for ensuring quality care. This study aimed to understand the relationship between organizational communication satisfaction and missed nursing care in Taiwan.
This cross-sectional study was performed to measure organizational communication satisfaction and missed nursing care in six oncology wards at a stand-alone cancer centre hospital in Taipei, Taiwan in December, 2018.
The study collected data using the Communication Satisfaction Questionnaire and the MISSCARE survey. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics, t test, analysis of variance and Pearson product-moment correlation analysis in December 16, 2018.
A total of 111 questionnaires were collected, and the response rate was 92.5%. The study showed that nurses tended to miss nursing care when they were dissatisfied with the unit's manpower status organizational communication environment, horizontal and diagonal communication and informal communication.

(1) To evaluate risk of hospitalization following initiation of perampanel (pre- and post-analysis) and (2) to compare hospitalization rates following initiation of perampanel vs lacosamide.
Patients were identified from Symphony Health's Patient Integrated Database if they had a prescription for perampanel (July 1, 2014-June 30, 2016). Patients 4-11years of age with any partial-onset seizure (POS) or ≥12years of age with any POS or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizure (GTCS) (pre-post); or ≥12years of age (perampanel vs lacosamide). The first fill of perampanel ("index date") marked the start of the analysis period. Patients had ≥1 additional fill for perampanel and ≥2 diagnoses for epilepsy or nonfebrile convulsion diagnosis during pre-index (based on ICD-9/ICD-10 codes). Patients were matched using a 11 propensity scoring method for the perampanel vs lacosamide analysis. Primary outcome was hospitalization during the one year following medication initiation.
Pre- and post-perampanel N=1771 (mean lizations, a reduction of 65.0% vs 58.9%, respectively (P<.05).

In this context, we introduce NP Navigator - a freely available intuitive online tool for visualization and navigation through the chemical space of NPs and NP-like molecules. It is based on the hierarchical ensemble of generative topographic maps, featuring NPs from the COlleCtion of Open NatUral producTs (COCONUT), bioactive compounds from ChEMBL and commercially available molecules from ZINC. NP Navigator allows to efficiently analyze different aspects of NPs - chemotype distribution, physicochemical properties, biological activity and commercial availability of NPs. The latter concerns not only purchasable NPs but also their close analogs that can be considered as synthetic mimetics of NPs or pseudo-NPs.Bio-nanoscience research encompasses studies on the interactions of nanomaterials with biological structures or what is commonly referred to as the biointerface. Fundamental studies on the influence of nanomaterial properties, including size, shape, composition, and charge, on the interaction with the biointerface have been central in bio-nanoscience to assess nanomaterial efficacy and safety for a range of biomedical applications. However, the state of the cells, tissues, or biological models can also influence the behavior of nanomaterials at the biointerface and their intracellular processing. Thus, current established protocols for propagating tumor cells in vitro are limiting because resections obtained from conventional singular samples limit the diversity in cell populations and do not accurately model the heterogeneous tumor. Utilization of discarded tissue obtained from cavitron ultrasonic surgical aspirator (CUSA) of the whole tumor mass allows for establishing novel cell lines in vitro from the entirety of the tumor, thereby creating an accurate representation of the heterogeneous population of cells originally present in the tumor. Furthermore, while others have described protocols for establishing patient tumor lines once tissue has arrived in the research lab, a primer from the operating room (OR) to the research lab has not been described before. This is integral, as basic research scientists need to understand the surgical environment of the OR, including the methods utilized to obtain a patient's tumor resection, in order to more accurately model cancer biology in laboratory.
