Since December 2019, an outbreak of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-Cov-2) initially emerged in Wuhan, China, and has spread worldwide now. Clinical features of patients with COVID-19 have been described. However, risk factors leading to in-hospital deterioration and poor prognosis in COVID-19 patients with severe disease have not been well identified.
In this retrospective, single-center cohort study, 1190 adult inpatients (≥ 18years old) with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 and determined outcomes (discharged or died) were included from Wuhan Infectious Disease Hospital from December 29, 2019 to February 28, 2020. The final follow-up date was March 2, 2020. Clinical data including characteristics, laboratory and imaging information as well as treatments were extracted from electronic medical records and compared. A multivariable logistic regression model was used to explore the potential predictors associated with in-hospital deteriornot severe patients would develop severe disease in-hospital. On admission elevated D-dimer, leukocytopenia, thrombocytopenia and diabetes were independent risk factors of in-hospital death in severe patients with COVID-19. Administration of oseltamivir or ganciclovir might be beneficial for reducing mortality in severe patients.

Between April 2015 and July 2019, normal pregnant women at our hospital were recruited for the study. FTC was measured by the automatic ellipse outline and plotted against gestational age (GA). Fetal distal femoral and proximal tibial ossification measurements were obtained with standard electronic calipers from outer-to-outer margins (> 1mm as the presence of ossification).
A total of 199 pregnant women were examined. FTC increased logarithmically to GA. A nomogram of FTC was expressed by a logarithmic formula [Formula see text]. The respective 5-95th percentiles of FTC at each GA were 20.2-36.2mm at 22weeks, 25.0-44.8mm at 26weeks, 29.2-52.3mm at 30weeks, and 32.9-59.0mm at 34weeks. The fetal distal femoral epiphysis was not visualized before 30weeks, but was visualized in 100% of fetuses after 35weeks of gestation. The fetal proximal tibial epiphysis was not visualized before 33weeks, but was visualized in 73.7% of fetuses at 37weeks of gestation.

Adult male zebrafish behavior, brain transcriptome, brain methylation status, and neuropathology were examined to test the hypothesis that embryonic ATZ exposure causes delayed neurotoxicity, according to the developmental origins of health and disease paradigm. The present research investigated how a liquid or semisolid carrier influences the disintegration time and drug dissolution rate of pellets and minitablets with diazepam. The disintegration of pellets and minitablets in liquid carriers (water, milk and apple juice) was determined using a texture analyser. Dissolution tests were performed for the dosage forms dispersed in gel vehicles (2% carmellose and 0.5% carbomer gels) or applesauce. The disintegration of minitablets in water and apple juice was fast (1 min), but it slowed to 3 and 5 min in milk and gel vehicles, respectively. The pellets disintegrated in liquid carriers within 3 min. The drug dissolution rate in 0.1 M HCl depended on the gel viscosity in this medium. The preserved high viscosity of a carmellose gel inhibited the dissolution of diazepam. Researchers have attempted to recovery the enzyme activities of IBs, which are commonly known as active IBs. Tyrosine phenol-lyase (TPL) is an important enzyme that can convert pyruvate and phenol into 3,4-dihydroxyphenyl-L-alanine (L-DOPA) and IBs of TPL can commonly occur. To induce the correct folding and recover the enzyme activity of the IBs, peptides, such as ELK16, DKL6, L6KD, ELP10, ELP20, L6K2, EAK16, 18A, and GFIL16, were fused to the carboxyl terminus of TPL. The results showed that aggregate particles of TPL-DKL6, TPL-ELP10, TPL-EAK16, TPL-18A, and TPL-GFIL16 improved the enzyme activity by 40.9%, 50.7%, 48.9%, 86.6%, and 97.9%, respectively. The peptides TPL-DKL6, TPL-EAK16, TPL-18A, and TPL-GFIL16 displayed significantly improved thermostability compared with TPL. L-DOPA titer of TPL-ELP10, TPL-EAK16, TPL-18A, and TPL-GFIL16, with cells reaching 37.8 g/L, 53.8 g/L, 37.5 g/L, and 29.1 g/L, had an improvement of 111%, 201%, 109%, and 63%, respectively.
