The Dice scores achieved by our method are 87.2%, 87.8%, 88.2% and 88.9% on left and right hippocampus on both two datasets, while the best Dice scores obtained by other methods are 86.0%, 86.9%, 86.8% and 88.0% on IABA dataset and ADNI dataset respectively. Experiments show that our approach achieves higher accuracy than state-of-the-art methods. We hope the proposed model can be transferred to combine with other promising distance measurement algorithms.
Eyestrain has been increasingly severe in our lives and works as the progress of computers and smartphones. Evaluating eyestrain helps to prevent and relieve eyestrain. Our study aimed to evaluate eyestrain by analyzing vertical electrooculogram (VEOG).

21 young subjects were asked to watch a video on the computer for a totally 120 minutes each, during which the VEOG signal was acquired using only three electrodes, and the questionnaire was answered every 30 minutes. The VEOG signal was divided into four 30-minute phases, from which VEOG signal power probability (VEOGSPP) features and blink features were extracted. The blink features include the changes of blink number (BN), group blinks number (GBN) and ratio (GBR), mean blink amplitude (Mean_BA) and duration (Mean_BD), mean blink duration at 50% (Mean_BD50), mean closing duration (Mean_CD) and opening duration (Mean_OD), mean opening duration at early 50% (Mean_ODE50) and late 50% (Mean_ODL50), mean blink maximum rising slope (Mean_BMRS) and falling slope (Mean_BMFS).

The results showed that the VEOGSPP in the high-frequency band (0.8-6.3Hz), BN, GBN, and GBR significantly increased while the VEOGSPP in the low-frequency band (0.1-0.4Hz), Mean_BA, Mean_OD, and Mean_ODL50 significantly decreased with eyestrain (P<0.05).

Functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) are reported as worldwide gastrointestinal (GI) diseases. GI motility assessment can assist the diagnosis of patients with intestine motility dysfunction. Wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) can acquire images in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract including the small intestine where other conventional endoscopes cannot penetrate, and WCE images can reveal GI motility. To generally analyze WCE frames, the high-precision registration of consecutive WCE frames is an absolute necessity. It is difficult and meaningless to register entire WCE frames on a pixel level due to the unpredictable and massive non-rigid deformation between consecutive frames, the low quality of imaging and the complex intestinal environment. Thus, the registration of region of interest (ROI) functioning in a feature level has more significance than entire frame registration.

In this paper we present Timecylce-WCE, an end-to-end automatic registration approach of ROIs on WCE images. The clinicianss, i.e., the predicted and the true joint is within the threshold - 10 pixels) of 66.49%. We also demonstrate that variants of design improved registration accuracy.

From the experimental analysis, it is clear that our proposed method outperforms the other existing methods. This lays the groundwork for subsequent studies, such as GI motility assessment, and WCE image synthesis.

The aim of this study was to explore the dose effect of bovine lactoferrin (bLF) fortification on the morbidity of diarrhea and respiratory tract infections in weaned infants with anemia.

A total of 108 infants with anemia, who were exclusively breast fed at 4 to 6 mo and weaned and formula fed at 6 to 9 mo, were recruited. The eligible infants were randomly assigned to fortified group 0 (FG0), fortified group 1 (FG1), or fortified group 2 (FG2) and were given formula fortified with 0 mg/100 g, 38 mg/100 g, and 76 mg/100 g of bLF, respectively, for 3 mo. The morbidity of diarrhea and respiratory tract infections (RTIs), the duration of respiratory and diarrhea-related illnesses, and the levels of fecal human beta-defensin 2 (HBD-2), cathelicidin LL-37 (LL-37), secretory IgA (sIgA), butyrate, and calprotectin were assessed.
