In order to explore the influence of water on the chain reaction characteristics of gas explosion, the 20 L explosion ball experiment and the homogeneous constant volume combustion reactor of CHEMKIN 17.0 simulations were carried out. The gas explosion response under four different water contents was tested and simulated. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/bay-293.html The effects of water on the pressure, free radicals, and reactants of gas explosion were compared and analyzed. The research results show that the inhibition of water on gas explosion was enhanced with the increase of water fraction in the initial mixture; the temperature, pressure, catastrophic gases such as CO, and concentration of activation centers in the reaction system can be reduced by water; the intensity of gas explosion can be reduced by inhibiting the formation of H, O, and OH free radicals, the main reactants of gas explosion and gas explosion energy.Multidrug-resistant organisms contain antibiotic-modifying enzymes that facilitate resistance to a variety of antimicrobial compounds. Particularly, the fosfomycin (FOF) drug can be structurally modified by several FOF-modifying enzymes before it reaches the biological target. Among them, FosB is an enzyme that utilizes l-cysteine or bacillithiol in the presence of a divalent metal to open the epoxide ring of FOF and, consequently, inactivate the drug. Here, we have used hybrid quantum mechanics/molecular mechanics (QM/MM) and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to explore the mechanism of the reaction involving FosB and FOF. The calculated free-energy profiles show that the cost to open the epoxide ring of FOF at the C2 atom is ∼3.0 kcal/mol higher than that at the C1 atom. Besides, our QM/MM MD results revealed the critical role of conformation change of Cys9 and Asn50 to release the drug from the active site. Overall, the present study provides insights into the mechanism of FOF-resistant proteins.Cellulose acetate (CA) grafted with imidazole ionic liquids (CA-ILs) was synthesized by reacting CA with imidazole ionic liquids ([HO2CMmim]Cl, [HO2CEtmim]Cl, and [HO2CMmim]Br) by using tetrahydrofuran (THF) as the solvent and pyridine as the catalyst. The CA and CA-IL films were fabricated by using the casting solution method. The CA-IL films exhibited good film forming ability and mechanical properties. The successful grafting of CA with imidazole ionic liquids was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), 1H NMR, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and elemental analysis, and the grafting degrees were 2.24, 2.45, and 3.30%, respectively. The CO2 permeation properties of the CA-IL films were 65.5, 105.6, and 88.3 Barrer, increased up to 2.0, 3.2, and 2.7 times, respectively, as compared to pure CA (32.6 Barrer). The CO2/CH4 selectivities of the CA-IL films were 15.6, 12.6, and 19.2, increased up to 1.7, 1.4, and 2.1 times, respectively, as compared to pure CA (9.26). Therefore, it can be concluded that the imidazole ionic liquids are immensely useful for improving the gas separation performance of CA films. In this study, rice husk biomass was gasified under sub- and supercritical water conditions in an autoclave reactor. The effect of temperature (350-500 °C), residence time (30-120 min), and feed concentration (3-10 wt %) was experimentally studied using the response surface methodology in relation to the yield of gasification products. The quadratic models have been suggested for both responses. Based on the models, the quantitative relationship between various operational conditions and the responses will reliably forecast the experimental outcomes. The findings revealed that higher temperatures, longer residence times, and lower feed concentrations favored high gas yields. The lowest tar yield obtained was 2.98 wt %, while the highest gasification efficiency and gas volume attained were 64.27% and 423 mL/g, respectively. The ANOVA test showed that the order of the effects of the factors on all responses except gravimetric tar yield follows temperature > feed concentration > residence time. The gravimetric tar yield followed a different trend temperature > residence time > feed concentration. The results revealed that SCW gasification could provide an effective mechanism for transforming the energy content of RH into a substantial fuel product.Nowadays, heavy metal pollution has attracted wide attention. Many electrochemical methods have been developed to detect heavy metal ions. The electrode surface usually needs to be modified, and the process is complicated. Herein, we demonstrate the fabrication of electrodes by direct laser sintering on commercial polymer films. The prepared porous carbon electrodes can be used directly without any modification. The electrodes were fixed in a 3D-printed flow reactor, which led to very little analyte required during the detection process. The velocities of the analyte under stirring and flowing conditions were simulated numerically. The results prove that flow detection is more conducive to improving detection sensitivity. The limit of detection is about 0.0330 mg/L for Pb2+. Moreover, the electrode has been proved to have good repeatability and stability.Amino acid salt (AAs) aqueous solutions have recently exhibited a great potential in CO2 absorption from various gas mixtures. In this work, four hybrid machine learning methods were developed to evaluate 626 CO2 and AAs equilibrium data for different aqueous solutions of AAs (potassium sarcosinate, potassium l-asparaginate, potassium l-glutaminate, sodium l-phenylalanine, sodium glycinate, and potassium lysinate) gathered from reliable references. The models are the hybrids of the least squares support vector machine and coupled simulated annealing optimization algorithm, radial basis function neural network (RBF-NN), particle swarm optimization-adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system, and hybrid adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system. The inputs of the models are the CO2 partial pressure, temperature, mass concentration in the aqueous solution, molecular weight of AAs, hydrogen bond donor count, hydrogen bond acceptor count, rotatable bond count, heavy atom count, and complexity, and the CO2 loading capacity of AAs aqueous solution is considered as the output of the models.
