Despite the usefulness of RAT, other theories should be taken into consideration when investigating cybercrime victimization.The study investigated whether the level of life satisfaction and general mental health was associated with COVID-19 worries at the initial stage of the COVID-19 pandemic in Poland. A cross-sectional observational study using an online questionnaire was conducted between 19 March and 27 April 2020, i.e. at the beginning of the epidemic in Poland. The study participants were residents of Poland over the age of 18 years. A total of 412 completed responses were received. The majority of respondents were women (75%), 84% respondents were mentally healthy and did not have any diagnosis of mental illnesses. Sixty-eight percent respondents indicated that they had been worried about the COVID-19 pandemic for the average of 21.75 days (SD +-16), while the median period from the onset of epidemic in Poland (20 March) to the participation in the study was 11 days. The main domains of concern included death of loved ones (75%), severe course of illness in loved ones (72%), healthcare failure (64%), consequences of the pandemic at an individual and social level (64% and 63%, respectively). There was a significant medium decrease in the level of happiness and life satisfaction during the COVID-19 epidemic (p less then .001).Dysregulation of the long non-coding RNA prostate androgen regulated transcript 1 (lncRNA PART1) is involved in the tumorigenesis of various cancers. However, little is known about its function and molecular mechanism in the development of lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). In this study, we examined the expression of PART1 in LSCC clinical tissue samples and cell lines, and gain- and loss-of-function experiments were performed to explore the function of PART1 in LSCC proliferation, invasion and migration. We found that PART1 was overexpressed in both LSCC tissues and cell lines. Functional studies revealed that PART1 knockdown significantly suppressed cell proliferation, invasion and migration but enhanced apoptosis in LSCC cells, whereas overexpression of PART1 showed the opposite results. Mechanistically, we identified that PART1 acted as a sponge of miR-185-5p, and sineoculis homeobox homolog 1 (Six1) was a direct downstream target of miR-185-5p. Moreover, restoration of miR-185-5p or silencing of Six1 partially abolished the oncogenic effect of PART1 in LSCC cells. Clinically, The areas under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve of PART1, miR-185-5p, and Six1 were 0.7857, 0.7332, 0.8112, respectively. Notably, high PART1, low miR-185-5p, and high Six1 expressions were significantly associated with severe clinical parameters and were the independent risk factors for poor prognosis of LSCC patients. Thus, we concluded that the PART1/miR-185-5p/Six1 axis might serve as a novel biomarker for the diagnosis and treatment of LSCC.
To examine differences in demographic, psychosocial, and job physical exposure risk factors between multiple low **** pain (LBP) outcomes in a prospective cohort of industrial workers.
LBP remains a leading cause of lost industrial productivity. Different case definitions involving pain (general LBP), medication use (M-LBP), seeking healthcare (H-LBP), and lost time (L-LBP) are often used to study LBP outcomes. However, the relationship between these outcomes remains unclear.
Demographic, health status, psychosocial, and job physical exposure risk factors were quantified for 635 incident-eligible industrial workers. Incident cases of LBP outcomes and pain symptoms were quantified and compared across the four outcomes.
Differences in age, gender, medical history, and LBP history were found between the four outcomes. Most incident-eligible workers (67%) suffered an LBP outcome during follow-up. Cases decreased from 420 for LBP (25.4 cases/100 person-years) to 303 for M-LBP (22.0 cases/100 person-years), to 151 for H-LBP (15.
