The marketed devices do not embed the latest technological advances but routine wound care will soon take advantage of it. Indeed, the reduction of health system spending is driving the emergence of the devices marketed in the coming years and mobile health should undergo a spectacular development with the integration of enhanced imaging hardware and software tools in smartphones.AIMS The meta-analysis was performed to summarize the available evidence and assess the efficacy of telemedicine for patients with chronic wounds. APPROACH PUBMED, EMBASE, Web of Science, The Cochrane Library, CBM, CNKI, WanFang and VIP databases were electronically searched to identify eligible studies updated to February 2020 to collect RCTs regarding the efficacy of telemedicine for patients with chronic wounds. Two reviewers independently screened the literature, extracted data and assessed the risk of bias of included studies with the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions. A meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.3 and StataSE. RESULTS Fourteen studies involving a total of 1926 patients were included in the meta-analysis. Compared with usual care, telemedicine intervention significantly improved wound healing rate (RR=1.44, 95% CI, 1.16-1.80, P =0.001) and reduced adverse events (RR = 0.52, 95% CI, 0.34-0.80, P =0.003). No significant differences were found between patients allocated to the telemedicine group or usual care group, in terms of the outcomes of healing time, change in wound size, or mortality. INNOVATION Telemedicine is an effective approach to promote chronic wound healing and reduce adverse events. CONCLUSION The meta-analysis demonstrates that telemedicine may improve the healing rate and reduce adverse events for patients with chronic wounds. The data were analysed for meaning.Results Well-being emerged in situations where women could feel an unconditional beingness. This entails not having demands on oneself and includes some form of freedom from having to perform. The surroundings and supportive environments are important for this unconditional beingness to be present. In order to feel well-being in everyday life, the women need to balance their energy and find helpful tools that can achieve a balance in everyday life.Conclusions Healthcare staff need to understand the importance of unconditional beingness in supportive environments for patients living with stress-related illness in order to support their health and well-being. It is also important to support patients in finding helpful tools that can aid them to achieve a balance in everyday life.The circulation of flaviviruses, dengue (DEN), Japanese encephalitis (JE) and West Nile (WN) viruses, and others, is generating a major concern in many countries. Both JE along with DEN have been endemic in large regions of India. WN virus infection, although circulating in southern regions for many years, in recent years, WN encephalitis patients have been demonstrated. While vaccines against JE have been developed and decrease outbreaks, in case of DEN and WN, vaccines are still in developing level, especially, it has been difficult to achieve the long-term protective immune response. The first licensed DEN vaccine, which is a live attenuated vaccine, was administered in countries where the virus is endemic, and has a potential to cause serious side effects, especially when administered to younger population as observed in the Philippines vaccination drive.
