  • Rationale Fibrates are widely used to control hypertriglyceridemia and mixed dyslipidemia alone or in combination with statins. These drugs have rare, but severe and potentially vital adverse reactions of rhabdomyolysis and secondary acute renal failure (ARF). The objective of this article is to analyze this adverse effect of fibrates and ensure the safety of drug use. Patient concerns We report a case of rhabdomyolysis and ARF due to fenofibrate monotherapy in a 68-year-old female with post-pancreatitis diabetes mellitus and review reported cases of rhabdomyolysis correlated with fibrates monotherapy. The present paper performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the predictive significance of DKK1 in cancer.To assess the relationship between the expression of DKK1 and prognostic role in human cancers, a total of 16 articals were screened from the multiple online databases (Pubmed, EMBASE, CNKI, Web of Science and Google Scholar) in our study. By using the STATA soft,pooled hazard ratio and 95% confidence intervals of overall survival (OS), progression-free survival, disease-free survival and time to recurrence were used to evaluate the strength of this relationship.The meta-analysis showed that higher expression of DKK1 was significantly associated with shorter OS in cancer patients. In stratified analyzes, the higher expression of DKK1 could reduced the OS in patients with breast cancer,digestive system cancer and urogenital system cancer, but not patients with the lung cancer. Methods The present study is a prospective parallel randomized controlled pilot trial. A total of 60 eligible participants will be randomly assigned to a treatment or control group at a 11 ratio. The treatment group will receive fire needle therapy and the control group will receive watchful waiting with lifestyle advice and education regarding BPH. Participants will receive intervention for 4 weeks, with a follow-up period of 4 additional weeks. Adverse events will be recorded to assess the safety and tolerability of fire needle therapy for mild-moderate BPH. The primary outcome will be the change in the International Prostate Symptom Score.

  • Atrial mass was increased in ZO-1cKO. Electrophysiological and optical mapping studies indicated high-grade atrioventricular (A-V) block in ZO-1cKO comparing to CTL hearts. While ZO-1 associated proteins such as vinculin, connexin 43, N-cadherin, and α-catenin showed no significant change with the loss of ZO-1, Connexin-45 and Coxsackie-adenovirus (CAR) proteins were reduced in atria of ZO-1cKO. Further, with loss of ZO-1, ZO-2 protein was increased significantly in ventricular CMs in a presumed compensatory manner, but was still not detected in the AV nodal myocytes. High levels of canonical TMPK protein were detected in the cytosolic fraction, whereas low levels were found in the nuclear and mitochondrial matrix fractions. Strikingly, despite the detection of high TMPK activity in the mitochondrial outer membrane, canonical TMPK protein was not detected in this fraction. Previous studies were entirely restricted to the violence against women in the reproductive age group. There is lack of evidence about the factors affecting violence against women during pregnancy. Understanding such factors, women's perception regarding violence during pregnancy and their justification of such violence could manifest an important aspect of violence. Women living in slum communities particularly are victims of violence. In this context, this study intended to examine women's perception, prevalence of, and factors affecting the violence against women during pregnancy in the slum communities of Pune. A community-based cross-sectional study of 1-year duration was undertaken in urban slums of Pune city, Maharashtra, India. The study participants were women who have delivered 2 years preceding the survey. Using simple random sampling, 500 women were selected from 10 purposively selected slums. House-to-house visits were made and face-to-face interviews conducted using a pretested structured questionnaire. Univariate, bivariate, and logistic regression analyses were applied. The study results show that 15.3% of women have experienced violence during their recent pregnancy. Furthermore, 9.2% of women experienced physical violence, 1.8% sexual violence, and 11.2% psychological violence. Education level of women, husband's education and alcohol consumption, history of violence in the family, and provision of spurious justification for violence have emerged as some of the leading factors associated with the violence inflicted during pregnancy. Effective interventions at both community and health care settings are needed urgently to reduce the violence inflicted during pregnancy.

  • BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to compare the macular and peripapillary vessel densities in eyes of young Chinese adults with different degrees of myopia and to evaluate the association of macular and peripapillary vessel densities with axial length and retinal nerve fibre layer thickness. METHODS A total of 128 eyes (mild myopia, 42; moderate myopia, 45; severe myopia, 41) underwent optical coherence tomography angiography imaging. Parameters assessed were vessel densities in the superficial capillary plexus and deep capillary plexus of the macular area, peripapillary vessel density, retinal nerve fibre layer thickness, foveal thickness and foveal avascular zone area (mm2 ). RESULTS Vessel densities in the macular and peripapillary areas as well as peripapillary retinal nerve fibre layer thickness decreased significantly when comparing high myopia to mild myopia. Axial length was significantly associated with vessel density in the macular area (superficial capillary plexus r = -0.249, p = 0.008; deep capillary plexus r = -0.398, p  less then  0.001), peripapillary area (r = -0.204, p = 0.028), foveal avascular zone area (r = -0.309, p  less then  0.001), and foveal thickness (r = 0.354, p  less then  0.001). Negative correlations were found between axial length and peripapillary vessel density as well as retinal nerve fibre layer thickness at the nasal superior, nasal inferior and inferior nasal quadrants. CONCLUSION Varying degrees of myopia affected macular and peripapillary vessel densities as well as retinal nerve fibre layer thickness in young healthy adults. The high myopic group had the lowest vessel density in the superficial capillary plexus, deep capillary plexus of the macular area and the peripapillary area. Furthermore, a significant correlation between sperm IL-6R expression, seminal plasma IL-6 and total sperm count could be demonstrated, whereas a negative correlation was observed in sperm IL-6R expression and motility. However, no statistical significance could be observed between IL-6R expression, vitality and morphology. Moreover, incubation of spermatozoa with IL-6 led to a slight but significant decrease in motility after 24 hr. In vivo imaging of the carotid arteries in three subjects has been performed. RESULTS The measured noise correlation matrices show the decoupling level between the individual elements to be -12.5 dB and better. Anatomical localizer imaging of the carotids shows both carotids in every subject well visualized after B1-shimming. In vivo black-blood, carotid images were acquired with very high in-plane spatial resolution (0.25 × 0.25 mm2 ) with clear depiction of the vessel walls. CONCLUSIONS The flexibility of the proposed coil has been demonstrated by imaging subjects with different neck circumferences.
    BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to compare the macular and peripapillary vessel densities in eyes of young Chinese adults with different degrees of myopia and to evaluate the association of macular and peripapillary vessel densities with axial length and retinal nerve fibre layer thickness. METHODS A total of 128 eyes (mild myopia, 42; moderate myopia, 45; severe myopia, 41) underwent optical coherence tomography angiography imaging. Parameters assessed were vessel densities in the superficial capillary plexus and deep capillary plexus of the macular area, peripapillary vessel density, retinal nerve fibre layer thickness, foveal thickness and foveal avascular zone area (mm2 ). RESULTS Vessel densities in the macular and peripapillary areas as well as peripapillary retinal nerve fibre layer thickness decreased significantly when comparing high myopia to mild myopia. Axial length was significantly associated with vessel density in the macular area (superficial capillary plexus r = -0.249, p = 0.008; deep capillary plexus r = -0.398, p  less then  0.001), peripapillary area (r = -0.204, p = 0.028), foveal avascular zone area (r = -0.309, p  less then  0.001), and foveal thickness (r = 0.354, p  less then  0.001). Negative correlations were found between axial length and peripapillary vessel density as well as retinal nerve fibre layer thickness at the nasal superior, nasal inferior and inferior nasal quadrants. CONCLUSION Varying degrees of myopia affected macular and peripapillary vessel densities as well as retinal nerve fibre layer thickness in young healthy adults. The high myopic group had the lowest vessel density in the superficial capillary plexus, deep capillary plexus of the macular area and the peripapillary area.   • Objectives This study aims to develop a new prognostic score based on changes in serial laboratory data from patients with pediatric acute liver failure (PALF). Methods We retrospectively reviewed data on 146 patients with PALF at the Seoul National University Children Hospital (SNUCH) and the Asan Medical Center (AMC). Daily morning laboratory records were obtained for up to 7 days after diagnosis of PALF total bilirubin (TB) (mg/dL), international normalized ratio for prothrombin time (INR) at enrolment; peak TB, peak INR, peak ammonia (μmol/L); the difference between the peak TB and TB at enrollment (ie, Δpeak TB), the difference between the peak INR and INR at enrollment (ie, Δpeak INR), the maximum change in serial TB (ie, Δdaily TB), the maximum change in serial INR level (ie, Δdaily INR). We assigned nontransplanted patients in SNUCH and AMC to derivation and validation cohorts, respectively. Results Δpeak TB, Δdaily TB, Δpeak INR, and Δdaily INR were significantly higher in the nonsurvival group. We developed a new score that can predict mortality in nontransplanted patients (derivation cohort n = 42, validation cohort n = 33). PALF-Delta score (PALF-Ds) = [0.232 × Δpeak TB (mg/dL)] + [2.263 × Δdaily INR] + [0.013 × peak ammonia (μmol/L)] - 4.498. The score yielded AUC 0.918 in the derivation cohort (sensitivity 81%, specificity 91%) and AUC 0.947 in the validation cohort (sensitivity 100%, specificity 89%). Dosing regimens in children are extrapolated from adult data using a fixed, weight-based dose, which is often not adequate. While clinical trials have focused on safety and efficacy, there is limited data on pharmacokinetic characteristics and immunogenicity of IFX in children. The objective was to provide a systematic overview of current literature on pharmacokinetic and immunogenicity of IFX in children with IBD, to assess the validity of current adult to pediatric dosing extrapolation. Methods A literature search identified publications up to October 2018. Eligibility criteria were study population consisting of children and/or adolescents with IBD, report of IFX trough levels and/or antibodies-to IFX, full text article or abstract, article in English, and original data. Results Initial electronic search yielded 2360 potentially relevant articles, with 1831 remaining after removal of duplicates. An additional search yielded another 202 potentially relevant articles. Of the 2033 retrieved articles, 2000 articles were excluded based on title, abstract, or eligibility criteria. Clearance of IFX was increased in young children and children with extensive disease, leading to lower trough levels after extrapolated dosing of 5 mg/kg, antibodies-to IFX emergence, and subsequent reduced efficacy. Conclusions Adult to pediatric weight-based dosing extrapolation is often inadequate. Human-to-human transmission has been documented to occur through respiratory secretions, feces, aerosols, and contaminated environmental surfaces. Pediatric patients present a unique challenge as they may have minimal symptoms and yet transmit disease. Endoscopists face risk for infection with viruses like SARS-CoV-2, as the aerosol generating nature of endoscopy diffuses respiratory disease that can be spread via an airborne and droplet route. We describe our center's methodology for pediatric patient risk stratification to facilitate responsible use of endoscopic resources during this crisis. We also describe our recommendations for use of personal protective equipment by endoscopists, with the goal of ensuring the safety of ourselves, our anesthesiology and endoscopy staff, and our patients.The delivery of endoscopic care is changing rapidly in the era of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) Endoscopy and Procedures Committee has formulated this statement to offer practical guidance to help standardize endoscopy services for pediatric patients with the aim of minimizing COVID-19 transmission to staff, patients, and caregivers and to conserve personal protective equipment (PPE) during this critical time. Appropriate use of PPE is essential to minimize transmission and preserve supply. Pediatric endoscopic procedures are considered at high risk for COVID-19 transmission. We recommend that all pediatric endoscopic procedures are done in a negative pressure room with all staff using proper airborne, contact, and droplet precautions regardless of patient risk stratification. This includes appropriate use of a filtering face-piece respirator (N95, N99, FFP2/3, or PAPR), double gloves, facial protection (full visor and/or face shield), full body water-resistant disposable gown, shoe covers and a hairnet. In deciding which endoscopic procedures should proceed, it is important to weigh the risks and benefits to optimize healthcare delivery and minimize risk. To inform these decisions, we propose a framework for stratifying procedures as emergent (procedures that need to PROCEEED), urgent (PAUSE, weigh the benefits and risks in deciding whether to proceed) and elective (POSTPONE procedures). This statement was based on emerging evidence and is meant as a guide. It is important that all endoscopy facilities where pediatric procedures are performed follow current recommendations from public health agencies within their jurisdiction regarding infection prevention and control of COVID-19.Introduction With the current coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, concerns have been raised about the risk to children with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). One of its main actions is the regulation of blood glucose level when it is elevated as it potentiates insulin release. It is also known that GLP-1 protects neurons from damage caused by neurodegenerative diseases. Lixisenatide is one of the GLP-1 analogues that has a strong affinity to the GLP-1 receptor. Experimental animal studies have shown that it holds a neuroprotective effect in Parkinson, myocardial, and cerebral ischemic disease animal models. The beneficial effect of lixisenatide on the brain after cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) is not clarified yet; thus, it needs further explanatory studies. Our research is the first to study the effect of lixisenatide on myeloperoxidase (MPO) and toll-like receptors (TLRs)/mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) pathway in a rat model of cerebral I/R. Lixisenatide with 2 doses 0.7 and 7 nmol/kg was given intraperitoneal in 2 different groups for 14 days; then, the bilateral common carotid artery was occluded for 1 h followed by reperfusion for 1 h. Examination of hippocampus CA1 neurons by Nissl stain showed that the number of intact neurons was elevated in the lixisenatide-treated group related to the control group (I/R group). This study shows the role of WES in the identification of disease-causing mutations in a disease such as HSP which can be caused by diverse mutations in several genes.Here, we monitored the expression of three genes (hsp70, hsp22, and hsf1) involved in heat shock response in Drosophila melanogaster in males and females of different age. Also, we investigated age- and sex-dependent expression of three major genes participating in the production of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) (cse, cbs, and mst), implicated in stress resistance and aging. Surprisingly, in the cbs-/- strain, we detected an upregulation of hsf1 transcription in the 30-day-old females. After heat shock in the control strain, hsp70 and hsp22 induction decreased with age in males and hsp22 decreased in females, while in the cbs-/- strain, a pronounced drop in the induction capacity of both hsp genes was seen in 30-day-old males and females. However, in most cases, the expression levels of hsf1 and H2S-producing genes do not exhibit pronounced changes depending on sex, age, or heat shock.   • Objective The role of vitamin K in the regulation of vascular calcification is established. However, the association of dietary vitamins K1 and K2 with risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) is inconclusive. Design Prospective cohort study. Setting We followed participants in the community-based Hordaland Health Study from 1997 - 1999 through 2009 to evaluate associations between intake of vitamin K and incident (new onset) CHD. Baseline diet was assessed by a past-year food frequency questionnaire. Energy-adjusted residuals of vitamin K1 and vitamin K2 intakes were categorised into quartiles. Participants 2987 Norwegian men and women, age 46-49 years. Methods Information on incident CHD events was obtained from the nationwide Cardiovascular Disease in Norway (CVDNOR) Project. Multivariable Cox regression estimated HRs and 95% CIs with test for linear trends across quartiles. Analyses were adjusted for age, sex, total energy intake, physical activity, smoking and education. A third model further adjusted K1 intake for energy-adjusted fibre and folate, while K2 intake was adjusted for energy-adjusted saturated fatty acids and calcium. Results During a median follow-up time of 11 years, we documented 112 incident CHD cases. In the adjusted analyses, there was no association between intake of vitamin K1 and CHD (HRQ4vsQ1 = 0.92 (95% CI 0.54 to 1.57), p for trend 0.64), while there was a lower risk of CHD associated with higher intake of energy-adjusted vitamin K2 (HRQ4vsQ1 = 0.52 (0.29 to 0.94), p for trend 0.03). Further adjustment for potential dietary confounders did not materially change the association for K1, while the association for K2 was slightly attenuated (HRQ4vsQ1 = 0.58 (0.28 to 1.19)). Conclusions A higher intake of vitamin K2 was associated with lower risk of CHD, while there was no association between intake of vitamin K1 and CHD. Participants A total of 4110 registered nurses engaged in clinical work related to intravenous infusion. Primary and secondary outcome measures Nurses' knowledge of PICC maintenance was measured by the score of an anonymous, self-reported questionnaire. Results The mean score of PICC maintenance among 4110 nurses was 72.86±14.86. 83.5% of the participants exhibited a score of 60 or above, and 34.1% of them exhibited a good grade with a score of 80 or above. The difference in the correct rate among different dimensions was statistically significant (H=17.721, p less then 0.01). The generalised linear model indicated that the factors influencing the nurses' PICC maintenance knowledge included gender, age, professional title, work setting and previous history of PICC maintenance training. Conclusions In conclusion, the knowledge of PICC maintenance was at a medium level among nurses in Hunan province, China. Multiple steps should be taken to improve the nurses' PICC maintenance knowledge, including disseminating PICC maintenance knowledge in multiple ways, such as courses, lectures, seminars and new media. Particular attention should be given to populations who responded poorly in this survey, and targeted education for nurses should be distributed based on their performance on specific dimensions, such as the replacement of dressing and needle-free connectors. Included studies reported HRs or ORs on the association between organ damage (measured by the Systemic Lupus International Collaborating Clinics/American College of Rheumatology Damage Index (SDI) score) and mortality. Study quality was assessed using the modified Newcastle-Ottawa assessment. Pooled HRs were obtained using the DerSimonian and Laird random-effects model. Heterogeneity was assessed using the Cochrane Q (Q) and I2 statisti and decrease mortality for patients with SLE.Over the past 5 years, several studies have begun to uncover the links between the classical signal transduction pathways and the physical mechanisms that are used to sculpt branched tissues. These advances have been made, in part, thanks to innovations in live imaging and reporter animals. With modern research tools, our conceptual models of branching morphogenesis are rapidly evolving, and the differences in branching mechanisms between each organ are becoming increasingly apparent. Here, we highlight four branched epithelia that develop at different spatial scales, within different surrounding tissues and via divergent physical mechanisms. Participants A total of 4110 registered nurses engaged in clinical work related to intravenous infusion. Primary and secondary outcome measures Nurses' knowledge of PICC maintenance was measured by the score of an anonymous, self-reported questionnaire. Results The mean score of PICC maintenance among 4110 nurses was 72.86±14.86. 83.5% of the participants exhibited a score of 60 or above, and 34.1% of them exhibited a good grade with a score of 80 or above. The difference in the correct rate among different dimensions was statistically significant (H=17.721, p less then 0.01). The generalised linear model indicated that the factors influencing the nurses' PICC maintenance knowledge included gender, age, professional title, work setting and previous history of PICC maintenance training. Conclusions In conclusion, the knowledge of PICC maintenance was at a medium level among nurses in Hunan province, China. Multiple steps should be taken to improve the nurses' PICC maintenance knowledge, including disseminating PICC maintenance knowledge in multiple ways, such as courses, lectures, seminars and new media. Particular attention should be given to populations who responded poorly in this survey, and targeted education for nurses should be distributed based on their performance on specific dimensions, such as the replacement of dressing and needle-free connectors. Survey findings from 2018 were compared with 2009 data from 101 cancer center executives and 96 palliative care program leaders. RESULTS The overall response rate was 69% (140 of 203) for the cancer center executive survey and 75% (123 of 164) for the palliative care program leader survey. The sample consisted of 1917 hospitals that responded to the American Hospital Association Information Technology Supplement every year from 2014 to 2016. RESULTS Adoption of each approach increased by 9-15 percentage points over the study period. The average number of HIE approaches used by each hospital increased from 1.0 to 1.4. Adoption of each approach was associated with increased likelihood that providers routinely had necessary outside information of 4.2-12.7 percentage points and 4.5-13.3 percentage points increase in information integration. Secure messaging was associated with the largest increase in both. Toxicological findings and demographic information were evaluated for the impaired driving cases tested positive for PCP in blood. Additionally, the Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) findings were examined for 12 cases in 2018. A total of 615 DWI cases positive for PCP in blood were identified in which the traffic offense occurred between August 2013 and December 2018. The mean (median, range) PCP concentration was 47 (43, 7-180) ng/mL. A total of 23% of those cases were females, and 77% were males; 85% were blacks, 10% were whites and 5% were other races/ethnicities as identified by the arresting officer.

  • Retrotransposable elements are widely distributed and diverse in eukaryotes. Their copy number increases through reverse-transcription-mediated propagation, while they can be lost through recombinational processes, generating genomic rearrangements. We previously identified extensive structurally uniform retrotransposon groups in which no member contains the gag, pol, or env internal domains. Because of the lack of protein-coding capacity, these groups are non-autonomous in replication, even if transcriptionally active. The Cassandra element belongs to the non-autonomous group called terminal-repeat retrotransposons in miniature (TRIM). It carries 5S RNA sequences with conserved RNA polymerase (pol) III promoters and terminators in its long terminal repeats (LTRs). Here, we identified multiple extended tandem arrays of Cassandra retrotransposons within different plant species, including ferns. At least 12 copies of repeated LTRs (as the tandem unit) and internal domain (as a spacer), giving a pattern that resembles the cellular 5S rRNA genes, were identified. A cytogenetic analysis revealed the specific chromosomal pattern of the Cassandra retrotransposon with prominent clustering at and around 5S rDNA loci. The secondary structure of the Cassandra retroelement RNA is predicted to form super-loops, in which the two LTRs are complementary to each other and can initiate local recombination, leading to the tandem arrays of Cassandra elements. The array structures are conserved for Cassandra retroelements of different species. We speculate that recombination events similar to those of 5S rRNA genes may explain the wide variation in Cassandra copy number. Likewise, the organization of 5S rRNA gene sequences is very variable in flowering plants; part of what is taken for 5S gene copy variation may be variation in Cassandra number. The role of the Cassandra 5S sequences remains to be established.In this commentary, I discuss the scientific changes brought by the exposome, asking what is new about this approach and line of research. I place the exposome in a historical perspective, by analyzing the conditions under which the exposome has been conceived, developed and established in the context of contemporary epidemiological research. I argue that the exposome has been developed by transferring approaches, methods and conceptualizations from other lines of research in the life and health sciences. I thus discuss the conceptual and methodological innovations of the exposome as a result of the merging and adaptation of these elements for new uses and purposes. On this basis, I argue that the novelty of the exposome should be seen in incremental rather than revolutionary terms and, in this sense, the exposome shares significant elements with other projects and repertoires in postgenomics. I conclude by discussing the consequences of this analysis for the potential limitations and future development of exposome research.The ongoing episode of coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) has imposed a serious threat to global health and the world economy. The disease has rapidly acquired a pandemic status affecting almost all populated areas of the planet. The causative agent of COVID-19 is a novel coronavirus known as SARS-CoV-2. The virus has an approximate 30 kb single-stranded positive-sense RNA genome, which is 74.5% to 99% identical to that of SARS-CoV, CoV-pangolin, and the coronavirus the from horseshoe bat. According to available information, SARS-CoV-2 is inferred to be a recombinant virus that originated from bats and was transmitted to humans, possibly using the pangolin as the intermediate host. The interaction of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein with the human ACE2 (angiotensin-converting enzyme 2) receptor, and its subsequent cleavage by serine protease and fusion, are the main events in the pathophysiology. The serine protease inhibitors, spike protein-based vaccines, or ACE2 blockers may have therapeutic potential in the near future. At present, no vaccine is available against COVID-19. The disease is being treated with antiviral, antimalarial, anti-inflammatory, herbal medicines, and active plasma antibodies. Thus, sensitive and rapid detection of stress biomarkers (e.g., cortisol) is important for management of various diseases with harmful symptoms, including post-traumatic stress disorder and depression. Here, we describe rapid and sensitive cortisol detection based on a conducting polymer (CP) nanotube (NT) field-effect transistor (FET) platform. The synthesized polypyrrole (PPy) NT was functionalized with the cortisol antibody immunoglobulin G (IgG) for the sensitive and specific detection of cortisol hormone. The anti-cortisol IgG was covalently attached to a basal plane of PPy NT through an amide bond between the carboxyl group of PPy NT and the amino group of anti-cortisol IgG. The resulting field-effect transistor-type biosensor was utilized to evaluate various cortisol concentrations. Cortisol was sensitively measured to a detection limit of 2.7 × 10-10 M (100 pg/mL), with a dynamic range of 2.7 × 10-10 to 10-7 M; it exhibited rapid responses ( less then 5 s). The synthesized polypyrrole (PPy) NT was functionalized with the cortisol antibody immunoglobulin G (IgG) for the sensitive and specific detection of cortisol hormone. The anti-cortisol IgG was covalently attached to a basal plane of PPy NT through an amide bond between the carboxyl group of PPy NT and the amino group of anti-cortisol IgG. The resulting field-effect transistor-type biosensor was utilized to evaluate various cortisol concentrations. Cortisol was sensitively measured to a detection limit of 2.7 × 10-10 M (100 pg/mL), with a dynamic range of 2.7 × 10-10 to 10-7 M; it exhibited rapid responses ( less then 5 s). These K2CO3·1.5H2O nanograins not only enhance the stability of the SEI by constructing a stable scaffold but also create more diffusion routes for K ions. On the basis of the above, using the **** as the anode of potassium-ion batteries delivers reversible capacities of 463 mAh g-1 at 50 mA g-1 and 195 mAh g-1 at 10 A g-1 with a long cycling life. As-prepared CuCo2O4 composite spinels, especially CuCo-H3 prepared by adding cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, showed superior reactivity for PMS activation.
