  • We introduce an improved Bonferroni method for testing two primary endpoints in clinical trial settings using a new data-adaptive critical value that explicitly incorporates the sample correlation coefficient. Our methodology is developed for the usual Student's t-test statistics for testing the means under normal distributional setting with unknown population correlation and variances. Specifically, we construct a confidence interval for the unknown population correlation and show that the estimated type-1 error rate of the Bonferroni method with the population correlation being estimated by its lower confidence limit can be bounded from above less conservatively than using the traditional Bonferroni upper bound. We also compare the new procedure with other procedures commonly used for the multiple testing problem addressed in this paper.The Joint Commission standards now include identification and monitoring patients at high-risk for adverse outcomes of opioid use. Our institution does not have a method to identify at-risk patients. This pilot aimed to assess feasibility of pharmacist-led identification of a population for pain management and opioid stewardship. All patients admitted to the hospital were screened; electronic health record reports identified all opioid, antidepressant, and benzodiazepine administrations within the previous 24 hours, and pertinent family and social history risk factors for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and opioid-induced respiratory depression (OIRD). Data were exported to spreadsheets and calculated risk scores for OUD and OIRD, and opioid utilization and morphine milligram equivalents (MME) were tabulated. Chart reviews were completed on patients identified as high risk for OUD or OIRD, if MME was 90 or greater, or those receiving four or more "as needed" opioid doses in the previous 24 hours. Potential regimen adjustments based on the primary investigator's judgment were categorized. Mean number of patients identified per day to receive stewardship was 13, and 18.6 potential interventions per day were identified. Based on results of this pilot, pharmacist-led identification of inpatients warranting pain and opioid stewardship is feasible at our institution.By preventing infectious diseases, vaccines contribute substantially to public health. Besides, they offer great opportunities to investigate human immune responses. This is particularly true for live-attenuated virus vaccines which cause resolving acute infections and induce robust immunity. The fact that one can precisely schedule the time-point of vaccination enables complete characterization of the immune response over time, short-term and over many years. The live-attenuated Yellow Fever virus vaccine strain YF-17D was developed in the 1930's and gave rise to the 17D-204 and 17DD vaccine sub-strains, administered to over 600 million individuals worldwide. YF vaccination causes a systemic viral infection, which induces neutralizing antibodies that last for a lifetime. It also induces a strong T cell response resembling the ones of acute infections, in contrast to most other vaccines. In spite of its use since 1937, learning how YF vaccination stimulates such strong and persistent immune responses has gained substantial knowledge only in the last decades. Here we summarize the current state of knowledge on the immune response to YF vaccination, and discuss its contribution as a human model to address complex questions on optimal immune responses.
    We quantified the association between public compliance with social distancing measures and the spread of SARS-CoV-2 during the first wave of the epidemic (March-May 2020) in 5 states that accounted for half of the total number of COVID-19 cases in the United States.

    We used data on mobility and number of COVID-19 cases to longitudinally estimate associations between public compliance, as measured by human mobility, and the daily reproduction number and daily growth rate during the first wave of the COVID-19 epidemic in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York.

    The 5 states mandated social distancing directives during March 19-24, 2020, and public compliance with mandates started to decrease in mid-April 2020. As of May 31, 2020, the daily reproduction number decreased from 2.41-5.21 to 0.72-1.19, and the daily growth rate decreased from 0.22-0.77 to -0.04 to 0.05 in the 5 states. The level of public compliance, as measured by the social distancing index (SDI) and daily encounter-density change, was high at the early stage of implementation but decreased in the 5 states. The SDI was negatively associated with the daily reproduction number (regression coefficients range, -0.04 to -0.01) and the daily growth rate (from -0.009 to -0.01). The daily encounter-density change was positively associated with the daily reproduction number (regression coefficients range, 0.24 to 1.02) and the daily growth rate (from 0.05 to 0.26).

    Complete mesocolic excision (CME) of colon cancer with extended lymphadenectomy was suggested to improve radical resection of colon cancer. This comprehensive review aimed to assess the current literature for the outcomes of CME of colon cancer through an appraisal of the findings of published systematic reviews and meta-analyses.

    A systematic literature review searching for the studies that assessed the outcome of CME of colon cancer was conducted. Electronic databases were queried from 2009 through November 2020. The main objectives of this review were to illustrate the technical aspects and outcome of CME and to summarize the findings of the published systematic reviews.

    Thirteen systematic reviews were retrieved. All reviews found CME to provide longer bowel, larger area of mesentery resected, and more lymph nodes (LNs) retrieved than standard colectomy. All systematic reviews except two found similar complication rates between CME and standard colectomy. Four systematic reviews documented the surviE as the standard of care for colon cancer.
    The incidence of metastatic melanoma is increasing in all ages. Multiple trials with targeted drugs and immune checkpoint inhibitors showed improved survival in metastatic melanoma. However, patients aged ≥75 years are often under-represented in clinical trials, therefore raising questions on safety and efficacy of treatment.

    We analyzed a real-world cohort of 3054 patients with metastatic melanoma stratified for age (≤65 years, 66-74 years and ≥ 75 years), and BRAF status, providing data on treatment strategies, toxicity, and survival. Kaplan Meier curves and Cox Proportional Hazard Models were used to present overall survival (OS) and Melanoma Specific Survival (MSS).

    Overall, 52.2% of patients were ≤ 65 years and 18.4% of patients ≥75 years. BRAF mutated tumors were found less often in patients ≥75 years 34.5% versus 65% in patients ≤65 years. Patients ≥75 years received systemic therapy less frequently compared to their younger counterparts independent of the BRAF status. When receiving treatment, no statistical significant difference in grade 3 or 4 toxicity was observed. Three year Overall Survival rate was 13.7% (9.1-19.3) in patients ≥75 years versus 26.7% (23.1-30.4) in patients ≤65 years, with a Hazard Ratio (HR) of 1.71 (95%CI 1.50-1.95), p < 0.001. Three year Melanoma Specific Survival was 30.4% (22.0-39.2) versus 34.0% (29.7-38.2), HR 1.26 (95% CI 1.07-1.49), p = 0.005 with an adjusted HR of 1.21 (1.00-1.47), p = 0.049.

The reported RCTs identified a group of ** patients (pT1-2N0M0 R0, grade 1-2, estrogen receptor (ER) positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) negative tumours) in which the absolute risk of local recurrence (LR) was considered low enough to omit RT. The most common risk factors were tumor diameter, nodal and receptor status. This study aimed to investigate the effect of axillary surgery on lymphatic flow from the chest wall in patients who have undergone mastectomy, including those have undergone breast reconstruction and vascularized lymph node transfer (VLNT).

    Following mastectomy in 100 breasts, the directions of lymph flow from the chest wall was compared between the SLNB omission, SLNB, Ax, and Ax followed by VLNT groups using indocyanine green (ICG) lymphography in cross-sectional study. Lymph flow on the deep epigastric artery perforator (DIEP) flap was also investigated.

In addition to the benefits such as shorter growth period and minimal water and land use, it also produces nutritious fodder that contains essential nutrients required for the growth and reproduction of livestock. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of feeding hydroponic maize fodder on the reproductive performance of **** kids. Twenty-four Tellicherry **** kids aged around 3 months were randomly selected and allocated into three treatment groups, namely, control, treatment 1 (T1), and treatment 2 (T2). Experimental diets were formulated by replacing the concentrate with hydroponic maize fodder at 0% (control), 25% (T1), and 50% (T2) level. The **** kids supplemented with hydroponic maize fodder attained puberty earlier (T1, 246.50 ± 2.61 days; T2, 241.00 ± 2.06 days) (P less then 0.05); had higher (P less then 0.05) scrotal circumference, testicular volume, and fresh semen characteristics; and exhibited intense sexual behaviors than the non-supplemented kids. Furthermore, hydroponic maize fodder supplementation improved the digestibility of dry matter (DM) (P less then 0.01), organic matter (OM) (P less then 0.01), crude fiber (CF) (P less then 0.05), ether extract (EE) (P less then 0.01), and nitrogen-free extract (NFE) (P less then 0.01) in the kids. In conclusion, hydroponic maize fodder feeding did not have any negative impact on the reproductive performance of kids. Furthermore, the hydroponic maize fodder supplementation enhanced the kids' nutrient digestibility and reproductive performance.

    A total of 141 nulliparous women were examined with three-dimensional transperineal ultrasound (3D-TPU) at the 24th and 34th weeks of gestation, 5th day postpartum, and 1month postpartum. Puborectalis muscle trauma was diagnosed and the area of levator hiatus (ALH) was measured.

    One hundred and five normal vaginal deliveries, 19 vacuum/forceps deliveries, and 17 cesarean deliveries were included. In the normal delivery group, the rate of puborectalis muscle trauma was low and showed no significant change between the 24th and 34th weeks of gestation (12.5% vs. 17.2%, p = 0.42). The rate of trauma significantly increased to 70.2% at the 5th day postpartum (p < 0.001). Twenty-four Tellicherry buck kids aged around 3 months were randomly selected and allocated into three treatment groups, namely, control, treatment 1 (T1), and treatment 2 (T2). Experimental diets were formulated by replacing the concentrate with hydroponic maize fodder at 0% (control), 25% (T1), and 50% (T2) level. The use of antiplatelet agents after heart transplantation (HT) has been inconsistent and although aspirin (ASA) is often a part of the medication regimen after HT, limited evidence is available on its benefit.

    CAV progression was assessed by measuring the difference in plaque volume and plaque index between the last follow-up and the baseline coronary intravascular ultrasound examination. Overall, 529 HT recipients were retrospectively analyzed (337 had ≥2 intravascular ultrasound studies). The progression in plaque volume (P = .007) and plaque index (P = .002) was significantly attenuated among patients treated with early ASA (within the first year after HT). Over a 6.7-year follow-up, all-cause mortality was lower with early ASA compared with late or no ASA use (P < .001). No cardiac deaths were observed in the early ASA group, and the risk of CAV-related graft dysfunction was significantly lower in this group (P = .03). However, the composite of all CAV-related events (cardiac death, CAV-related graft dysfunction, or coronary angioplasty) was not significantly different between the groups (P = .16).

The main outcome was incident HF defined as the first adjudicated HF hospitalization or HF death through December 31, 2016. We estimated hazard ratios for the associations of DASH diet score quartiles with incident HF, and incident HF with reduced ejection fraction and HF with preserved ejection fraction using the Lunn-McNeil extension to the Cox model. We tested for several prespecified interactions, including with age. Compared with the lowest quartile, individuals in the second to fourth DASH diet score quartiles had a lower risk for incident HF after adjustment for sociodemographic and health characteristics quartile 2 hazard ratio, 0.69 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.56-0.85); quartile 3 hazard ratio, 0.71 (95% CI, 0.58-0.87); and quartile 4 hazard ratio, 0.73 (95% CI, 0.58-0.92).     Seventy-seven cases from Shanghai Ruijin Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine were retrospectively collected and divided into the neoadjuvant radiochemotherapy (NRCT) group and the neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NCT) group. The differences between the two groups in tumor regression, postoperative complications, rectal function, disease-free survival, and overall survival were compared using the

    test and Kaplan-Meier analysis.

    Baseline data showed no statistical differences between the two groups, whereas the NRCT group had a higher rate of T4 (30/55

Seventy-seven cases from Shanghai Ruijin Hospital affiliated with Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine were retrospectively collected and divided into the neoadjuvant radiochemotherapy (NRCT) group and the neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NCT) group. The differences between the two groups in tumor regression, postoperative complications, rectal function, disease-free survival, and overall survival were compared using the test and Kaplan-Meier analysis. Baseline data showed no statistical differences between the two groups, whereas the NRCT group had a higher rate of T4 (30/55 5/22, < 0.05) than the NCT groups. Twelve cases were evaluated as complete responders, and 15 cases were evaluated as tumor regression grade 0. Except for the reduction rate of T stage (NRCT 37/55 NCT 9/22, < 0.05), there was no difference in effectiveness between the two groups. To study the clinical features and prognostic predictors in patients with sepsis after gastrointestinal tumor surgery in intensive care unit (ICU).   • In this paper, ultrasonic cellulase extraction (UCE) was applied to extract polyphenols from passion fruit. The extraction conditions for total phenol content (TPC) and antioxidant activity were optimized using response surface methodology (RSM) coupled with a Box-Behnken design (BBD). The results showed that the liquid-to-solid ratio (X2) was the most significant single factor and had a positive effect on all responses. The ANOVA analysis indicated quadratic models fitted well as TPC with R2 = 0.903, DPPH scavenging activity with R2 = 0.979, and ABTS scavenging activity with R2 = 0.981. The optimal extraction parameters of passion fruit were as follows pH value of 5 at 30 °C for extraction temperature, 501 (w/v) liquid-to-solid ratio with extraction time for 47 min, the experimental values were found matched with those predicted. Infrared spectroscopy suggested that the extract contained the structure of polyphenols. HIF-prolyl hydroxylases (PHs) are molecules that constitute the core molecular mechanism of detecting a decrease in the partial pressure of oxygen, or hypoxia, in the cells; they can be called oxygen sensors. In this review, I discuss the process of molecular cloning of HIF and HIF-PH, which explains hypoxia-induced EPO expression; the development of HIF-PH inhibitors that artificially or exogenously activate HIF by inhibiting HIF-PH; and the significance and implications of medical intervention using HIF-PH inhibitors.Cellular structures with tailored topologies can be fabricated using additive manufacturing (AM) processes to obtain the desired global and local mechanical properties, such as stiffness and energy absorption. Lattice structures usually fail from the sharp edges owing to the high stress concentration and residual stress. In this study, several lattice topologies with fillets were designed, and the effects of the fillets on the stiffness, energy absorption, energy return, and energy loss of an open-cell lattice structure were investigated at a constant relative density. A recently developed high-speed AM multi-jet fusion technology was employed to fabricate lattice samples with two different unit cell sizes. Nonlinear simulations using ANSYS software were performed to investigate the mechanical properties of the samples. Experimental compression and loading-unloading tests were conducted to validate the simulation results. The results showed that the stiffness and energy absorption of the lattice structures can be improved significantly by the addition of fillets and/or vertical struts, which also influence other properties such as the failure mechanism and compliance. By adding the fillets, the failure location can be shifted from the sharp edges or joints to other regions of the lattice structure, as observed by comparing the failure mechanisms of type B and C structures with that of the type A structure (without fillets). The results of this study suggest that AM software designers should consider filleted corners when developing algorithms for generating various types of lattice structures automatically. Additionally, it was found that the accumulation of unsintered powder in the sharp corners of lattice geometries can also be minimized by the addition of fillets to convert the sharp corners to curved edges.In Italy, human cases of West Nile virus (WNV) infection have been recorded since 2008, and seasonal outbreaks have occurred almost annually. A significant circulation of the pathogen was suggested by studies on blood donors, with annual incidence rates ranging from 1.353 (95% confidence intervals (95% CI) 0.279-3.953) to 19.069 cases per 100,000 specimens (95% CI 13.494-26.174). The annual incidence rates of WNND increased during the study period from 0.047 cases per 100,000 (95% CI 0.031-0.068) in 2012, to 0.074 cases per 100,000 (95% CI 0.054-0.099) in 2020, peaking to 0.377 cases per 100,000 (95% CI 0.330-0.429) in 2018. There were 60 deaths. Cases of WNND were clustered in Northern Italy, particularly in the Po River Valley, during the months of August (56.7%) and September (27.5%). Higher risk for WNND was reported in subjects of male sex (risk ratio (RR) 1.545, 95% CI 1.392-1.673 compared to females), and in older age groups (RR 24.46, 95% CI 15.61-38.32 for 65-74 y.o.; RR 43.7, 95% CI 28.33-67.41 for subjects older than 75 years), while main effectors were identified in average air temperatures (incidence rate ratio (IRR) 1.3219, 95% CI 1.0053-1.7383), population density (IRR 1.0004, 95% CI 1.0001-1.0008), and occurrence of cases in the nearby provinces (IRR 1.0442, 95% CI 1.0340-1.0545). EPR oximetry and spin trapping were used to examine the oxygen photoconsumption and photo-induced formation of superoxide anion, and time-resolved near infrared phosphorescence was employed to determine the singlet oxygen photogeneration by the melanins. The efficiency of superoxide and singlet oxygen photogeneration was related to the chemical composition of the studied melanins.

  • Prostate cancer has a high incidence in men and is the second cause of cancer death among americans male. microRNA (miR) is becoming a potential new prognostic factor for prostate cancer. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are common polymorphisms, characterized by a single exchange of nitrogen based in the DNA. This polymorphism is present in the miRs, altering their function.

    To evaluate the role of SNP rs1834306 of miR100 and rs2910164 of miR146a in the development and prognosis of prostate cancer.

    One hundred patients diagnosed with prostate cancer and 68 controls were selected. The identification of SNP was rated by quantitative polymerase chain reaction from blood samples, and the analysis was performed within the presence of SNP and the prognostic variables.

    In the SNP rs1834306 (miR100), a smaller presence of the polymorphic homozygous genotype was identified in patients with PSA >10 ng/mL, (
    =0.03); when evaluating only the presence of the polymorphic allele G (

    To evaluate the long-term clinical outcomes of 2 cemented ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) acetabular components, with the main difference between the 2 components being their method of sterilisation.

    Data was collected prospectively on 352 consecutive total hip replacements, performed between March 2000 and July 2004, at a single centre. A posterior approach was used with a cemented C-Stem femoral component (DePuy, Warsaw, IN, USA) in all cases and either the Ogee (DePuy, Warsaw, IN, USA) or the Opera (Smith & Nephew, Memphis, TN, USA) acetabular implant. Patients were reviewed clinically and radiologically with a median 12-year follow-up (6-16 years).

    The risk of experiencing loosening was 90% lower for the Gamma irradiated implant (GII) group compared to the ethylene oxide sterilised implant (EOSI) group, which was statistically significant (
    = 0.003), (HR 0.10; 95% CI, 0.02-0.45). The incidence of cup revision was also lower in the GII group (
    = 0.029), but after adjustment for age, gender and BMI was not statistically significant (

    Bioselection to assess tumor response after induction chemotherapy has been introduced as an alternative treatment strategy to total laryngectomy for patients with advanced larynx squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). Tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) have proven to serve as prognostic biomarkers in head and neck cancer but have not been evaluated as a way to select patients for treatment paradigms. The aim of this study is to evaluate the role of pretreatment TILs in patients with advanced LSCC undergoing the bioselection paradigm.

    Patients with advanced LSCC treated with bioselection and available tissue were included (N = 76). Patients were stratified into CD8-low and CD8-high cohorts by using the median TIL count. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and multivariate cox regression were performed with SPSS version 26 (IBM).

Significantly lower exercise was found in the dissatisfied compared to the appreciative BIP (p = 0.005), with marginally lower exercise in the dissatisfied compared to the average BIP (p = 0.029 with adjusted α = 0.02). This research has implications for designing targeted interventions supporting postpartum wellbeing.

The limit of detection concentration (CLOD ) of this system was 100 μM paraquat. Moreover, among eight cationic salts tested, NaCl was selective to enhance the detection sensitivity of the system, resulting in the reduction of CLOD to 0.10 μM.   • Achieving sustained engagement in family-based preventive intervention programs is a serious challenge faced by program implementers. Despite the evidence supporting the effectiveness and potential population-level impacts for these programs, their actual impact is limited by challenges around retention of participants. In order to inform efforts to better retain families, it is critical to understand the different patterns of attendance that emerge across the duration of program implementation and the factors that are associated with each attendance pattern. In this study, we identified latent classes of attendance patterns across the seven program sessions of the Strengthening Families Program For Parents and Youth Ages 10-14 (SFP 10-14). However, most of the research about nanoparticles stays in vivo and in vitro stage, and only few clinical researches about nanoparticles have been reported. In this review, we first summarize the current applications of nanoparticles in cancer diagnosis and treatment. After that, we propose the challenges that hinder the clinical applications of NPs and provide feasible solutions in combination with the updated literature in the last two years. Alcohol use was assessed at baseline and 3 months by self-report and by the biomarker phosphatidylethanol (PEth). Overall, 35% of women were heavy drinkers, defined as women reporting ≥ 1 past-30-day heavy drinking episode (≥ 4 standard drinks on one occasion) or with PEth blood levels ≥ 80 ng/mL. Interventions that increase social support and decrease stigma are pivotal for increasing PrEP use disclosure among WWID.Alcohol use has a deleterious effect on the health status of persons living with HIV, negatively affecting antiretroviral adherence and increasing the risk of transmission. Alcohol use is not an isolated behavior but intimately linked to stigma and poor psychological status among other factors. This paper utilizes a crossover design to test the efficacy of three multilevel interventions, individual counselling (IC), group intervention (GI) and collective advocacy (CA) for change, among HIV positive males who consume alcohol, treated at five ART Centers in urban Maharashtra, India. While GI shows a significant effect on the largest number of outcome variables, IC through its psychosocial emphasis demonstrated a significant impact over time on stigma and depression, and CA with its emphasis on societal change showed positive impact on stigma and advocacy for self and others.     Schistosomiasis japonica is a chronic parasitic disease that seriously harms people's health. Oncomelania hupensis is the only intermediate host of Schistosoma japonicum. The micro-environmental factors surrounding the snail have a great impact on the survival, growth and reproduction of O. hupensis, but there are few relevant systematic analyses until the present. This scoping review aims to identify and summarize the micro-environmental factors that greatly affect O. hupensis, and to find gaps in research thus to provide directions for future in-depth studies.

    This scoping review searched databases with search terms of the combinations of "Micro(-)environment", "Oncomelania" and their expanded aspects. A total of 133 original articles were recruited. Predefined data fields were extracted including research methods, influencing factors, and their effects on O. hupensis. Most studies focused on vegetation factors (54.1%), and other factors noted were soil composition (27.8%), water environmental factors ( the impact of micro-environmental factors on snails and close the research gaps.

    To compare the incidence of osteoporotic fractures in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) with matched controls from a university hospital.

    Consecutive RA patients (n = 100) were matched (age and sex) with controls (12). The follow-up period began at the index date, defined as the date of diagnosis for RA patients and the date of the first medical claim at the Health Management Organization (HMO) for non-RA patients. Fracture incidence rates per 1000 persons-years (PY) for distinct types of fractures were calculated. This retrospective analysis included 277 patients with rrHL who underwent first transplant with auto-HCT or allo-HCT between 2007-2017. Patients in the auto-HCT cohort (N = 218) were older, more likely to be in CR at the time of transplant and receive maintenance therapy post-transplant. Ten speech-language-hearing therapists and 60 healthy participants who were native monolingual Japanese speakers were recruited to determine MCs. Stage 2 examined the criterion validity and reliability of the Japanese-MCA. Language samples of 20 participants with aphasia, as verified by Standard Language Test of Aphasia (SLTA), and 20 healthy older participants were used. Results of Stage 1 of the study yielded normative data with a set of target MCs that were geographically and linguistically specific for use in Japan. The results also revealed the comparability of the Japanese-MCA and previously reported versions of other languages. Stage 2 findings indicated not only a high correlation of criterion validity, but also good reliability of the test. With established norms and specific scoring criteria of the Japanese-MCA, it is believed that this new tool will become a useful addition to clinical management and research of aphasia in Japan.The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on medical education and accelerated an evolution in continuing professional development that was already underway. Medical educators have the added complexity of learning to teach and assess trainees virtually as remote learning has become a necessity. National and international organisations have increased collaborative efforts to ensure the latest clinical information is disseminated promptly to front-line physicians. The shift to virtual learning has democratised clinical information, allowing for wider global participation and transforming how we approach continuing professional development.
    Self-disclosing a concealable stigmatized identity (CSI) such as mental illness is generally associated with enhanced psychological well-being. Research also supports the link between social support and psychological well-being. Yet, few theoretical explanations exist for the role that mental illness disclosure plays in the association between social support PWB.

    To test two competing models linking self-disclosure to psychological well-being a mediator model in which self-disclosure indirectly contributes to psychological well-being via social support quality (i.e., self-disclosure is a pre-requisite of social support), and a moderator model in which self-disclosure enhances social support benefits (i.e., self-disclosure is a "booster" of social support benefits).

This theoretical exploration not only suggested the presence of strong interactions between (SARS-CoV-2 + Favipiravir/Dolutegravir) but also emphasized the clinical suitability of Favipiravir over Dolutegravir to treat SARS-CoV-2 main protease. The supremacy of Favipiravir over Doultegravir is well supported by the results of global clinical trials on SARS-CoV-2 infection. Thus, this work will pave the way for incremental advancement towards future design and development of more specific inhibitors to treat SARS-CoV-2 infection in humans.Communicated by Ramaswamy H.
