Herein, a universal compensation strategy was developed to introduce various polar organic molecules into the interlayer of Alx V2 O5 ·nH2 O by replacing partial crystal water. The high-polar groups in the organic molecules have a strong electrostatic attraction with pre-intercalated Al3+ , which ensures that organic molecules can be anchored in the interlayer of hydrated vanadates. Simultaneously, the low-polar groups endow organic molecules with a weak interaction with Zn2+ during cycling, thus liberalizing reversible Zn2+ transfer. As a result, Alx V2 O5 with polar organic molecules displays enhanced electrochemical performance. Additionally, an amines oxidation reaction is introduced to replace the H2 O oxidation process to further boost the photocatalytic CO2 reduction efficiency. Impressively, 3DOM CdSQD/NC exhibits superior activity and selectivity in photocatalytic CO2 reduction coupled with amines oxidation, affording a CO production rate as high as 5210 µmol g-1 h-1 in the absence of any sacrificial agents and alkaline additives. Moreover, 3DOM CdSQD/NC achieves an apparent quantum efficiency of 2.9% at 450 nm.

  • This study aimed to assess, by rapid tests, the immune status against COVID-19 among Healthcare Workers (HCW) with history of symptoms, and for whom SARS-CoV-2 detection was either not documented or negative.

    Whole blood by finger ***** and serum samples were taken from HCW for use with 2 rapid lateral flow tests and an automated immunoassay.

    Seventy-two HCWs were included, median duration between symptoms onset and serology sampling was 68 days. Anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were detected by rapid test in 11 HCW (15.3%) and confirmed in the 10 with available serum by the automated immunoassay. The frequency of ageusia or anosmia was higher in participants with SARS-CoV-2 antibodies (P=0.0006 and P=0.029, respectively).

This bio-nanogenerator not only overcomes the disadvantages of general ISPGs, but also accomplishes both biomechanical energy scavenging and electrical stimulation therapeutics. The enhancement of osteogenesis differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in vitro and bone regeneration in vivo are remarkably achieved. Under irradiation of 808 nm laser, the thermal effect of PDA caused PFP droplets occur liquid-gas phase transition that triggered the burst release of DOX and O2, finally amplifying the synergetic effects of PDT and chemotherapy both in vitro and in vivo. The influence of PFP, GSH and laser on drug release kinetic was explored through mathematical models. Notably, the mechanism of gas-generator on accelerating drug release under irradiation based on doing volume work and enhancing diffusion coefficient was clarified by researching the relation between DOX release, PFP release and temperature change. Additionally, the way of replenishing O2 did not rely on intracellular components but timely offered abundant "fuels" for producing reactive oxygen species (ROS) when compared with traditional manners. This work provides a new research strategy for boosting drug release and opens an avenue for constructing multifunctional controlled delivery systems.
    Some studies have suggested gender disparities in both pay and academic promotion which may adversely affect salary and career progression for female physicians. The areas of research output, funding, and authorship have not been fully and systematically examined in the emergency medicine literature. We hypothesize that gender differences may exist in research output, impact, authorship, and funding.

    We conducted a cross-sectional study examining all published articles in the top three emergency medicine journals as determined by Impact Factor between February 2015 and February 2018. We compared the authorship, number of citations of each article, funding, and h-index of each author by gender.

    Of the 10,118 authors representing 4166 original articles in our sample, 7562 (74.7%) were male and 2556 (25.3%) were female, with females underrepresented relative to the known proportion of female emergency medicine faculty. Males were proportionally more likely to be last authors (OR 1.65, 95% CI, 1.47-1.86) and less likely to be first authors than females (OR 0.85, 95% CI, 0.77-0.94). No difference in proportions of males and females in terms of being named as having funding was found (OR 1.02, 95% CI, 0.78-1.35). Males had higher h-indexes than females (5 vs. 3, p < .001) as well as a higher average number of citations (OR 1.068, 95% CI, 1.018-1.119).

  • Optic neuropathies are leading causes of irreversible visual impairment and blindness, currently affecting more than 100 million people worldwide. Glaucoma is a group of optic neuropathies attributed to progressive degeneration of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs). We have previously demonstrated an increase in survival of RGCs by the activation of macrophages, whereas the inhibition of macrophages was involved in the alleviation on endotoxin-induced inflammation by antagonist of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). Herein, we hypothesized that GHRH receptor (GHRH-R) signaling could be involved in the survival of RGCs mediated by inflammation. We found the expression of GHRH-R in RGCs of adult rat retina. After optic nerve crush, subcutaneous application of GHRH agonist MR-409 or antagonist MIA-602 promoted the survival of RGCs. Both the GHRH agonist and antagonist increased the phosphorylation of Akt in the retina, but only agonist MR-409 promoted microglia activation in the retina. The antagonist MIA-602 reduced significantly the expression of inflammation-related genes Il1b, Il6, and Tnf Moreover, agonist MR-409 further enhanced the promotion of RGC survival by lens injury or zymosan-induced macrophage activation, whereas antagonist MIA-602 attenuated the enhancement in RGC survival. Our findings reveal the protective effect of agonistic analogs of GHRH on RGCs in rats after optic nerve injury and its additive effect to macrophage activation, indicating a therapeutic potential of GHRH agonists for the protection of RGCs against optic neuropathies especially in glaucoma.Acetylcholine (ACh) signaling through activation of nicotinic and muscarinic ACh receptors regulates expression of specific genes that mediate and sustain proliferation, differentiation, and homeostasis in the intestinal crypts. Furthermore, using an MEK inhibitor (U0126), we found that mitogen-activated protein kinase/extracellular signal-regulated kinase (MAPK/ERK) signaling, which is downstream of EphB/ephrin-B signaling, is activated in M3-deficient crypts. High-frequency testing has been proposed as a potential solution to prevent outbreaks. However, current tests are not sufficiently low-cost, rapid, or scalable to enable broad COVID-19 testing. Here, we describe LEAD (Low-cost Electrochemical Advanced Diagnostic), a diagnostic test that detects severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) within 6.5 min and costs $1.50 per unit to produce using easily accessible and commercially available materials. LEAD is highly sensitive toward SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (limit of detection = 229 fg⋅mL-1) and displays an excellent performance profile using clinical saliva (100.0% sensitivity, 100.0% specificity, and 100.0% accuracy) and nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal (88.7% sensitivity, 86.0% specificity, and 87.4% accuracy) samples.     Optic neuropathies are leading causes of irreversible visual impairment and blindness, currently affecting more than 100 million people worldwide. Glaucoma is a group of optic neuropathies attributed to progressive degeneration of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs). We have previously demonstrated an increase in survival of RGCs by the activation of macrophages, whereas the inhibition of macrophages was involved in the alleviation on endotoxin-induced inflammation by antagonist of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). Herein, we hypothesized that GHRH receptor (GHRH-R) signaling could be involved in the survival of RGCs mediated by inflammation. We found the expression of GHRH-R in RGCs of adult rat retina. After optic nerve crush, subcutaneous application of GHRH agonist MR-409 or antagonist MIA-602 promoted the survival of RGCs. Both the GHRH agonist and antagonist increased the phosphorylation of Akt in the retina, but only agonist MR-409 promoted microglia activation in the retina. The antagonist MIA-602 reduced significantly the expression of inflammation-related genes Il1b, Il6, and Tnf Moreover, agonist MR-409 further enhanced the promotion of RGC survival by lens injury or zymosan-induced macrophage activation, whereas antagonist MIA-602 attenuated the enhancement in RGC survival. Here, we describe LEAD (Low-cost Electrochemical Advanced Diagnostic), a diagnostic test that detects severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) within 6.5 min and costs $1.50 per unit to produce using easily accessible and commercially available materials.   • The antibacterial activity of TS extract was somewhat higher than TM, while antifungal activity was the same. TS extract was the most active against Helicobacter pylori ATCC 43504 with MIC (minimal inhibitory concentration) = 0.625 mg/mL, exerting a bactericidal effect. The obtained data provide novel information about the phytochemistry of both thyme species and suggest new potential application of TS as a source of bioactive compounds, especially with anti-H. pylori activity.Due to the complexity of surrounding environments, lidar point cloud data (PCD) are often degraded by plane noise. In order to eliminate noise, this paper proposes a filtering scheme based on the grid principal component analysis (PCA) technique and the ground splicing method. The 3D PCD is first projected onto a desired 2D plane, within which the ground and wall data are well separated from the PCD via a prescribed index based on the statistics of points in all 2D mesh grids. Then, a KD-tree is constructed for the ground data, and rough segmentation in an unsupervised method is conducted to obtain the true ground data by using the normal vector as a distinctive feature. To improve the performance of noise removal, we propose an elaborate K nearest neighbor (KNN)-based segmentation method via an optimization strategy. Finally, the denoised data of the wall and ground are spliced for further 3D reconstruction. The experimental results show that the proposed method is efficient at noise removal and is superior to several traditional methods in terms of both denoising performance and run speed.The behaviour of textile products made from different fibres during finishing has been investigated by many scientists, but these investigations have usually been performed with cotton or synthetic yarns and fabrics. However, the properties of raw materials such as linen and hemp (other cellulose fibres) and linen/silk (cellulose/protein fibres) have rarely been investigated. The aim of the study was to investigate and compare the mechanical (breaking force and elongation at break) and end-use (colour fastness to artificial light, area density, and abrasion resistance) properties of cellulose and cellulose/protein woven fabrics. For all fabrics, ΔE was smaller than three, which is generally imperceptible to the human eye. Flax demonstrated the best dyeability, and hemp demonstrated the poorest dyeability, comparing all the tested fabrics. The colour properties of fabrics were greatly influenced by the washing procedure, and even different fabric components of different weaves lost their colours in different ways. Flax fibres were more crystalline than hemp, and those fibres were more amorphous, which decreased the crystallinity index of flax in flax/silk blended fabric. Unwashed flax fabric was more resistant to artificial light than flax/silk or hemp fabrics. Finishing had a great influence on the abrasion resistance of fabrics. The yarn fibre composition and the finishing process for fabrics both influenced the mechanical (breaking force and elongation at break) and end-use (area density and abrasion resistance) properties of grey and finished fabrics woven from yarns made of different fibres.Spinel phases, with unique and outstanding physical properties, are attracting a great deal of interest in many fields. In particular, MgFe2O4, a partially inverted spinel phase, could find applications in medicine thanks to the remarkable antibacterial properties attributed to the generation of reactive oxygen species. In this paper, undoped and Ag-doped MgFe2-xAgxO4 (x = 0.1 and 0.3) nanoparticles were prepared using microwave-assisted combustion and sol-gel methods. X-ray powder diffraction, with Rietveld structural refinements combined with micro-Raman spectroscopy, allowed to determine sample purity and the inversion degree of the spinel, passing from about 0.4 to 0.7 when Ag was introduced as dopant. The results are discussed in view of the antibacterial activity towards Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, representative strains of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. The sol-gel particles were more efficient towards the chosen bacteria, possibly thanks to the nanometric sizes of metallic silver, which were well distributed in the powders and in the spinel phase, with respect to microwave ones, that, however, acquired antibacterial activity after thermal treatment, probably due to the nucleation of hematite, itself displaying well-known antibacterial properties and which could synergistically act with silver and spinel.A vegan diet could impact microbiota composition and bacterial metabolites like short-chain (SCFA) and branched-chain fatty acids (BCFA). The aim of this study was to compare the concentrations of SCFA, BCFA, ammonia, and fecal pH between vegans and omnivores. In this cross-sectional study (vegans n = 36; omnivores n = 36), microbiota composition, fecal SCFA, BCFA, and ammonia concentrations and pH were analyzed in complete stool samples. A random forest regression (RFR) was used to identify bacteria predicting SCFA/BCFA concentrations in vegans and omnivores. No significant differences in SCFA and BCFA concentrations were observed between vegans and omnivores. Fecal pH (p = 0.005) and ammonia concentration (p = 0.01) were significantly lower in vegans than in omnivores, while fiber intake was higher (p less then 0.0001). Shannon diversity was higher in omnivores compared to vegans on species level (p = 0.04) only. In vegans, a cluster of Faecalibacterium prausnitzii, Prevotella copri, Dialister spp., and Eubacterium spp. was predictive for SCFA and BCFA concentrations. In omnivores, Bacteroides spp., Clostridium spp., Ruminococcus spp., and Prevotella copri were predictive. Though SCFA and BCFA did not differ between vegans and omnivores, the results of the RFR suggest that bacterial functionality may be adapted to varying nutrient availability in these diets.Post-exertional malaise (PEM) is regarded as the hallmark symptom in chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). Using a traced subset of nationwide panel data from 2005 covering five provinces, 101 villages, and 2026 households (collected recently in 2016) and the econometric models, this study estimated the effect of factory employment history on workers' health. The results showed that the absolute number of factory workers increased from 1998 to 2015, and the proportion of factory workers was 7.68% in 2015; the absolute number and the proportion of farmers decreased from 63.84% in 1998 to 29.06% in 2015. Given that all the respondents live in rural areas, the HlthPlace (the first place the individual went to for their last illness in 2015) was selected as the main dependent variable of interest, and Hlthexp (Healthcare expenditure per person at last illness in 2015) and self-reported health were used as auxiliary dependent variables. https://www.selleckchem.com/ The findings revealed that, after controlling the characteristics of individual, household, hospital and area, a one year increase of factory employment history corresponded to a 0.035 level increase in the probability of people choosing high-level hospital (p  less then  0.01) and a 237.61 yuan increase in healthcare expenditure (p  less then  0.1). The current study was designed to investigate the effect of FADD phosphorylation on IDE. We found that the mRNA and protein levels of IDE were significantly downregulated in FADD-D mouse livers compared with control ****. Quantitative real-time PCR analysis showed that FADD regulates the expression of IDE at the transcriptional level without affecting the stability of the mRNA in HepG2 cells. Following treatment with cycloheximide, the IDE protein degradation rate was found to be increased in both FADD-D primary hepatocytes and FADD-knockdown HepG2 cells. Additionally, IDE expression levels were reduced in insulin-stimulated primary hepatocytes from FADD-D **** compared to those from control ****. Methods We reviewed the obstetric records of all (total 809) nulliparous healthy women with vaginal singleton delivery at 37-41 weeks' gestation at our institute between July 2018 and June 2019. A face-to-face interview with the women was conducted on admission for delivery to ask whether or not they hoped to perform exclusive breastfeeding for their babies, and an additional interview was conducted one month after delivery to ask about their feeding methods currently. Conclusion Development of postpartum depression does not seem to be associated with incomplete breastfeeding at our hospital, and therefore there are other risk factors indicated in the development of postpartum depression. We conclude that suramin interferes with CHIKV entry by interacting with the E2 envelope protein, which inhibits attachment and also interferes with conformational changes required for fusion.Quantitating the health effects of employment history in factories, especially polluting ones, is essential for understanding the benefits or losses of industrialization in rural areas. Using a traced subset of nationwide panel data from 2005 covering five provinces, 101 villages, and 2026 households (collected recently in 2016) and the econometric models, this study estimated the effect of factory employment history on workers' health. The results showed that the absolute number of factory workers increased from 1998 to 2015, and the proportion of factory workers was 7.68% in 2015; the absolute number and the proportion of farmers decreased from 63.84% in 1998 to 29.06% in 2015. Given that all the respondents live in rural areas, the HlthPlace (the first place the individual went to for their last illness in 2015) was selected as the main dependent variable of interest, and Hlthexp (Healthcare expenditure per person at last illness in 2015) and self-reported health were used as auxiliary dependent variables. https://www.selleckchem.com/ The findings revealed that, after controlling the characteristics of individual, household, hospital and area, a one year increase of factory employment history corresponded to a 0.035 level increase in the probability of people choosing high-level hospital (p  less then  0.01) and a 237.61 yuan increase in healthcare expenditure (p  less then  0.1). Insulin-degrading enzyme (IDE) is a zinc metalloprotease that selectively degrades biologically important substrates associated with type 2 diabetes (T2DM). The current study was designed to investigate the effect of FADD phosphorylation on IDE. We found that the mRNA and protein levels of IDE were significantly downregulated in FADD-D mouse livers compared with control mice. Quantitative real-time PCR analysis showed that FADD regulates the expression of IDE at the transcriptional level without affecting the stability of the mRNA in HepG2 cells. Following treatment with cycloheximide, the IDE protein degradation rate was found to be increased in both FADD-D primary hepatocytes and FADD-knockdown HepG2 cells. Additionally, IDE expression levels were reduced in insulin-stimulated primary hepatocytes from FADD-D mice compared to those from control mice. Moreover, FADD phosphorylation promotes nuclear translocation of FoxO1, thus inhibiting the transcriptional activity of the IDE promoter. Together, these findings imply a novel role of FADD in the reduction of protein stability and expression levels of IDE.The pricing of medicines and health products ranks among the most hotly debated topics in health policy, generating controversy in richer and poorer markets alike. Electrocoagulation by electrocautery produces smoke which can result in damage to lateral tissues, including the gall bladder. The clips are used along with electrocoagulation to seal cystic duct and cystic artery before dissection. There are various studies about bile leakage in the case of clip application. The harmonic scalpel uses ultrasonic energy to achieve hemostasis without bleeding, dissection, and gallbladder removal from the liver bed during laparoscopic surgery by causing coagulation of proteins. The patient outcome variables such as postoperative pain, duration of hospital stay, postoperative nausea and vomiting, surgical site infections, and other complications have not been compared in review articles. In this review, we collected the information from previously published studies and reviewed the outcomes of patients undergoing harmonic scalpel cholecystectomy. Harmonic scalpel cholecystectomy reduces the duration of hospital stay, duration of operation, intraoperative and postoperative complications, and postoperative pain. Thus the harmonic scalpel can be used instead of other instruments as it has better patient outcomes.
    The N-localizer is generally utilized in a 3-panel or, more rarely, a 4-panel system for computing stereotactic positions. However, a stereotactic frame that incorporates a 2-panel (bipanel) N-localizer system with panels affixed to only the left and right sides of the frame offers several advantages improved ergonomics to attach the panels, reduced claustrophobia for the patient, mitigation of posterior panel contact with imaging systems, and reduced complexity. A bipanel system that comprises two standard N-localizer panels yields only two three-dimensional (3D) coordinates, which are insufficient to solve for the stereotactic matrix without further information. While additional information to determine the stereotactic positions could include scalar distances from Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) metadata or 3D regression across the imaging volume, both have risks related to noise and error propagation. Therefore, we sought to develop new stereotactic localizers that comprise only lore error than either the Z-localizer or M-localizer. The fatty changes in the liver are often the beginning of sequelae of complications, potentially causing steatohepatitis, liver cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. The Mediterranean diet is not only a way of eating but is considered a lifestyle and primarily consists of a plant-based diet, with olive oil as the primary lipid. In this study, we reviewed the effectiveness of the Mediterranean diet on NAFLD and its efficacy in disease management. This systematic review follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Protocol (PRISMA-P) 2009 guidelines. The PubMed database was used to gather articles, using the following terms individually and in combination, "Mediterranean diet," "non-alcoholic fatty liver disease," "insulin resistance," "metabolic syndrome," "omega-3-fatty acids." A quality appraisal was completed to include 14 articles in this systematic review. The studies discuss the correlation between the Mediterranean diet and its role in preventing and treating NAFLD. Olive oil is the major monounsaturated fatty acid, whereas nuts, seeds, and fish consist largely of polyunsaturated fatty acids, both of which are essential components of the Mediterranean diet. The plant-based diet, having sufficient amounts of vegetables, legumes, and fruits, provides its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, playing a fundamental role in preventing oxidative stress damage. Olive oil polyphenols increase apoptosis and cell cycle arrest. They also decrease proliferation and angiogenesis, all of which prevent neoplasia. Adapting the Mediterranean lifestyle has shown promising effects in NAFLD, reducing overall mortality and morbidity.

  • These findings serve as a foundation to evaluate the dynamic effects of high afterload and chronic vasodilator therapy in patients with durable LVADs.INTRODUCTION Nasal septal deviation (NSD) is one of the major causes of upper airway obstruction. Chronic hypoxia and hypercapnia due to NSD may affect the choroidal blood flow and may change the choroidal thickness (CT). In this study, the authors aimed to research the assessment of CT before and after septoplasty in patients with NSD. METHODS Ninety-two patients who underwent septoplasty surgery with the diagnose of nasal septum deviation and 58 patients for control group were enrolled to the study. CT values measured before and three months after septoplasty surgery. RESULTS CT values were subfoveal 272.51 ± 27.62, nasal 245.50 ± 21.22, temporal 248.35 ± 30.25 and subfoveal 232.09 ± 44.17, nasal 222.09 ± 38.82,temporal 227.12 ± 28.80 for the control and NSD groups, respectively (P  less then  0.001). Also choroid thickness values (subfoveal 232.09 ± 44.17, nasal 222.09 ± 38.82, temporal 227.12 ± 28.80; subfoveal 252 ± 18.90, nasal 228 ± 22.12, temporal 240 ± 25.80) were significantly different in patients with NSD, before and after septoplasty procedure, respectively (P  less then  0.001). CONCLUSION To the authors' knowledge this is the first study investigating choroid thickness measurements before and after septoplasty in patients with NSD. We found significant correlation between NSD and CT. After septoplasty surgery at 3rd month, CT increased significantly in comparision with the preoperative values.The "Jaw in a Day" (JIAD) technique, first described by Levine and colleagues, establishes immediate functional occlusion through a single-stage maxillomandibular reconstruction with concurrent implant placement and provisional prosthesis delivery. Immediate implant-borne prosthesis was fixated and all implants osseointegrated into the neomandible. The authors investigated alternative methods to local flap applications in large tissue losses on facial regions caused by GSI in the Syrian War at the light of our approaches and outcomes. MATERIALS AND METHODS The study was designed as a cross-sectional retrospective clinical cohort analyze. The authors analyzed data describing the distribution and comparisons of 187 Syrian patients who injured in the war due to GSI and transferred to our medical center from Jan 2011 and June 2018. The study included data of the patients with demographics, mechanisms of a war injury, clinical data, treatment, and outcomes. RESULTS 131(70%) of all the patients were soldiers, while the rest 56 was civilians. 58% (n = 108) of the GSI was female while remaining was males (42%; n = 79). The rate for children was 32% in all the patients as the most common soft tissues of the face were around the maxilla-zygoma (38.4%), orbita-nose region (29.3%), mandibula-teeth (18.5%). The indications for exenteration of the orbit for benign orbital lesion are rare. Not adequately treated infection of the orbit by systemic antibiotics can lead to destructive changes of soft tissues in the region of the orbit and partial exenteration with eyelid sparing technique is necessary. DESIGN Retrospective case series. METHODS Data of all patients between 2010 and 2018 who underwent exenteration of the orbit for periocular lesions infiltrating the region of the orbit were reviewed for patient demographics, previous treatment options, tumor localization and histopathologic type. RESULTS In group of 14 patients with periocular lesions total orbital exenteration underwent 12 patients (86%), in 1 patient biorbital exenteration was performed and in one patient orbital exenteration with eyelid sparing technique was performed. For 2 patients (14%) orbital exenteration was the first surgical procedure performed.

The authors investigated alternative methods to local flap applications in large tissue losses on facial regions caused by GSI in the Syrian War at the light of our approaches and outcomes. MATERIALS AND METHODS The study was designed as a cross-sectional retrospective clinical cohort analyze. The authors analyzed data describing the distribution and comparisons of 187 Syrian patients who injured in the war due to GSI and transferred to our medical center from Jan 2011 and June 2018. RESULTS In group of 14 patients with periocular lesions total orbital exenteration underwent 12 patients (86%), in 1 patient biorbital exenteration was performed and in one patient orbital exenteration with eyelid sparing technique was performed. Plain radiographs revealed osteoectasia of the long bone's diaphysis, and laboratory tests showed extremely high serum total alkaline phosphatase levels. A missense mutation on the gene TNFRSF11B was identified in homozygosity, and the diagnosis of JPD was made.Treatment with bisphosphonates was initiated early and markedly improved lower limb bowing and pain. The patient reached adulthood with normal height, minor bone deformities, and no functional impairment. Despite the good skeletal symptom's response, bisphosphonates failed to prevent or improve sensorineural hearing loss.

    The review of alternative therapies in the management of CM suggests that most of the studies used primrose oil, vitamins, and physical activity. There are very few studies conducted in relation to yoga and cyclical mastalgia. Further, most of the studies explored effect of alternative therapies on psychological outcomes. None of the studies investigated efficacy of these therapies on hormonal changes.

    Evidence suggests that biochemical clinical trial is effective with side effect, primrose oil and seeds treatment is less effective. One evidence-based study with integrated yoga therapy should be considered in the management of cyclical mastalgia. More high-quality trial with yogic approach needed to first line management of patients presenting with CM.

The World Health Organization's (WHO) "Health system building block" approach is a classic model, which can work as a road map for the national health system in the process of empowering PHCIs against COVID-19 as well as other upcoming global and regional public health emergencies.Ticks are obligate hematophagous arthropods that are distributed worldwide and are one of the most important vectors of pathogens affecting humans and animals. Despite the growing burden of tick-borne diseases, research on ticks has lagged behind other arthropod vectors, such as mosquitoes. This is largely because of challenges in applying functional genomics and genetic tools to the idiosyncrasies unique to tick biology, particularly techniques for stable genetic transformations. CRISPR-Cas9 is transforming non-model organism research; however, successful germline editing has yet to be accomplished in ticks. An observational cohort study investigating the stimulated immune response by standardized whole blood assay (TruCulture ) in adult patients with Lyme neuroborreliosis included at time of diagnosis from 01.09.2018-31.07.2020. Reference intervals were based on a 5-95% range of cytokine concentrations from healthy individuals (n = 32). Patients with Lyme neuroborreliosis and references were compared using Mann-Whitney U test. Heatmaps of cytokine responses were generated using the webtool Clustvis. In total, 22 patients with Lyme neuroborreliosis (19 definite, 3 probable) were included.
