Biofilm from a pristine stream was exposed under controlled conditions in microcosms to a mining effluent (ME), and its structural (algal biomass, community composition, diatom metrics) and functional (photosynthetic activity, nutrient uptake) responses were evaluated over time and compared with unexposed biofilms used as control. Biofilm exposed to ME showed drastic functional responses after one day of exposure, with a significant decrease in photosynthetic efficiency and nutrient uptake, that were recovered over time. Biofilm exposed to ME showed a progressive increase in diatom metrics (abundance, density and growth rate) over time, compared to the control. However, a significant decrease in diatom species diversity, richness and cell size was also observed in biofilm exposed to ME. This study revealed that the ME affected the biofilm causing short-term functional responses, which were recovered simultaneously with a drastic diatom community structure shift.Microplastics are ubiquitous in the environment and given the large number of published hazard and exposure studies, quantitative environmental risks assessments of microplastics become feasible. We present here the first environmental risk assessment for marine waters based only on measured concentrations. The Thevariability and uncertainty of the measured data was accounted for in the exposure assessment, while probabilistic species sensitivity distributions were used for hazard assessment, from which a probability distribution was extracted for the predicted no-effect concentration (PNEC). By dividing the exposure distribution by the PNEC-distribution, we were able to calculate probabilistic risk characterisation ratios for each water body in which measurements were performed. Results show a good coverage of the world's major water bodies by measured exposure concentrations (****), while the hazard assessment could be improved by aligning the type of particles tested in hazard studies (size, form, polymer) to those actually found in the oceans. Overall, the mean predicted no-effect concentration (PNEC) is 3.84·106 part m-3, with Oryzias melastigma being the most sensitive species (calculated mean NOEC of 3.90·106 part m-3). Interestingly, the only type of dose descriptor that could be extracted from the literature for particles above 10-20 μm was the highest observed no effect concentration (HONEC), which indicates a very low or null toxicity of these larger MPs towards marine organisms. The mean ****is 1.5·103 part m-3, the highest concentrations being measured in the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. Although there is a very small overlap of the probability distribution associated with the RCR (0.00002 % of the data points), the mean RCR is 4·10-4 and therefore risks are unlikely given the available data. However, as increasing amounts of plastic reach the environment, RCRs can be expected to increase in the future.Triclosan, a widely used biocide broadly found in aquatic environments, is cause of concern due to its unknown effects on non-targets organisms. In this study, a multi biomarker approach was used in order to evaluate the 72 h-effect of triclosan on the freshwater alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata (Raphidocelis subcapitata). Triclosan, at environmental relevant concentrations (27 and 37 μg L-1), caused a decrease of proliferative capacity, which was accompanied by an increase of cell size and a profound alteration of algae shape. It was found that triclosan promoted the intracellular accumulation of reactive oxygen species, the depletion of non-enzymatic antioxidant defenses (reduced glutathione and carotenoids) and a decrease of cell metabolic activity. A reduction of photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a and b) was also observed. For the highest concentration tested (37 μg L-1), a decrease of photosynthetic efficiency was detected along with a diminution of the relative transport rate of electrons on the photosynthetic chain.

We further use machine learning to build 27-, 10- and 3-gene classifiers that differentiate COVID-19 from other ARIs with AUROCs of 0.981, 0.954 and 0.885, respectively. While learning by task repetition has been shown to improve vWM performance in young adulthood, little is known on whether a similar enhancement can be achieved also by the aging population. By combining different behavioral and electrophysiological measures, we investigated whether practicing a specific task (delayed match-to-sample judgement) over four consecutive sessions could improve vWM in healthy aging, and which are the neurophysiological and cognitive mechanisms modulated by learning. Behavioral data revealed that task repetition boosted performance in older participants, both in terms of sensitivity to change (as revealed by d' measures) as well as capacity estimate (as measured by k values). At the electrophysiological level, results indicated that only after task repetition both target individuation (as evidenced by the N2pc) and vWM maintenance (as reflected by the CDA) were modulated by target numerosity. Our results suggest that repetition learning is effective in enhancing vWM in aging and acts through modifications at different stages of stimulus processing.A SARS-CoV2 super-spreading event occurred during carnival in a small town in Germany. Due to the rapidly imposed lockdown and its relatively closed community, this town was seen as an ideal model to investigate the infection fatality rate (IFR). Here, a 7-day seroepidemiological observational study was performed to collect information and biomaterials from a random, household-based study population. The number of infections was determined by IgG analyses and PCR testing. We found that of the 919 individuals with evaluable infection status, 15.5% (95% CI[12.3%; 19.0%]) were infected. This is a fivefold higher rate than the reported cases for this community (3.1%). 22.2% of all infected individuals were asymptomatic. The estimated IFR was 0.36% (95% CI[0.29%; 0.45%]) for the community and 0.35% [0.28%; 0.45%] when age-standardized to the population of the community. Participation in carnival increased both infection rate (21.3% versus 9.5%, p less then 0.001) and number of symptoms (estimated relative mean increase 1.6, p = 0.007). While the infection rate here is not representative for Germany, the IFR is useful to estimate the consequences of the pandemic in places with similar healthcare systems and population characteristics. We demonstrate that the presence of nitrogen oxides (up to 0.83%) in the carbon dioxide feed leads to a considerable Faradaic efficiency loss in carbon dioxide electroreduction, which is caused by the preferential electroreduction of nitrogen oxides over carbon dioxide. The primary products of nitrogen oxides electroreduction include nitrous oxide, nitrogen, hydroxylamine, and ammonia. Among nephrolithiasis diseases, cystinuria is potentially treatable, and further stone formation may be preventable. We report 23 patients who were identified biochemically and genetically to have cystinuria showing the diversity of the phenotype of cystinuria and expanding the genotype by identifying a broad spectrum of mutations. Patients and Methods This is a multicenter retrospective chart review, where clinical and biochemical data, genetic analysis and the progress of the disease were documented over five years at two centers from 2014 to 2019. Results Of 23 patients who were identified biochemically and/or genetically to have cystinuria, 14 (62%) were male. Thirteen patients were homozygous, and two were heterozygous for the SLC3A1 gene. Seven were homozygous and one was compound heterozygous for the SLC7A9 gene. We have detected 12 genetic variants including five novel variants. SLC3A1 gene variant c.1400 T > A (p.Met467Lys) is found in 38% of our cohort. Although 21 patients required surgical intervention, none developed ESRD. The number of stone episodes per year varied widely (median frequency of 0.45 stones/ per year, range between 0.06 and 78.2), with no significant difference in stone events per year between sexes (P = 0.73). Conclusion Despite the high rate of consanguinity in Saudi Arabia, there was a broad spectrum of genetic variants. Most of our patients are homozygous recessive for SLC genes with multiple generations affected which indicates early screening and prevention of disease in these families. Patients with cystic fibrosis (CF) and advanced lung disease develop hypoxaemia and hf the major barriers to treatment in children. This article will review the current evidence for indications, adverse effects and long term follow up including adherence to NIV in children with chronic lung disease.
Leydig cell tumors (LCT) are the most common hormone-secreting testicular tumors; it is a rare cause for precocious pseudo-puberty in boys. The tumors secrete high amounts of testosterone. We present two cases of LCT in prepubertal boys presenting with precocious puberty.

The patient had reported enlarged and painless swelling of the left testicle from a year ago. The puberty status of the patient was A1P3G4. Independent risk factors significantly associated with development of DP were bottle-only feeding (adjusted odds ratio (aOR) = 4.65; 95% CI 2.70-8.00), little tummy time when awake (aOR = 3.51, 95% CI 1.71-7.21), delay of motor development (aOR = 2.85, 95% CI 1.08-7.49), and obesity at diagnosis (aOR = 2.45, 95% CI 1.02-5.90). Among nephrolithiasis diseases, cystinuria is potentially treatable, and further stone formation may be preventable. We report 23 patients who were identified biochemically and genetically to have cystinuria showing the diversity of the phenotype of cystinuria and expanding the genotype by identifying a broad spectrum of mutations. Patients and Methods This is a multicenter retrospective chart review, where clinical and biochemical data, genetic analysis and the progress of the disease were documented over five years at two centers from 2014 to 2019. Results Of 23 patients who were identified biochemically and/or genetically to have cystinuria, 14 (62%) were male. Thirteen patients were homozygous, and two were heterozygous for the SLC3A1 gene. Seven were homozygous and one was compound heterozygous for the SLC7A9 gene. We have detected 12 genetic variants including five novel variants. SLC3A1 gene variant c.1400 T > A (p.Met467Lys) is found in 38% of our cohort. Although 21 patients required surgical intervention, none developed ESRD. The number of stone episodes per year varied widely (median frequency of 0.45 stones/ per year, range between 0.06 and 78.2), with no significant difference in stone events per year between sexes (P = 0.73). We hypothesized that transcription factors (TF) and other transcription-related genes are needed to orchestrate those changes. In this work, downstream analysis using bioinformatic tools and published microarray data allowed us to identify sixty transcriptional regulators (including 10 TF) and to integrate their function in physiologically relevant networks. Functional associations revealed a connection between Arnt, Bhlhe41 and Dbp circadian rhythm genes with the Ar circuitry and a small gene network centered in Pex14, which might indicate a previously unanticipated metabolic shift. We have also identified human homologs and mapped the corresponding genes to human chromosome regions commonly affected in prostate cancer, with particular attention to the PTEN/HHEX/MXI1 cluster at 10q23-25 (frequently deleted in PCa) and to MAPK1 at 22q11.21 (delete in intermediate risk but not in high risk PCa). Twenty genes were found mutated or with copy number alterations in at least five percent of three cancer cohorts and six of them (PHOX2A, NFYC, EST2, EIF2S1, SSRP1 and PARP1) associated with impacted patient survival. RESULTS Patients of mucosal lesion group had a significantly higher frequency of ganglionitis and myositis when compared to the chagasic patients with intact mucosa and non-chagasic group. The density of anti-galectin-3-immunostained cells was significantly higher in the chagasic patients with intact mucosa group when compared to the non-chagasic group. The group of chagasic patients with intact mucosa presented a higher percentage of collagen in relation to the patients with mucosal lesion and to the non-chagasic group, with a significant difference. Standard surgical technique with fluoroscopy was used for each approach. Following fixation, each specimen was loaded to failure with a Bionix ® 858 MTS device, applying a downward axial force at a distance to create torque. Torque to failure was compared between DP and PD Groups using Student's t test, with p=0.05 used to determine statistical significance. RESULTS Statistical analysis demonstrated that the mean torque to failure slightly favored the DP Group (37.3Nm) to the PD Group (32.2Nm). However, the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant (p=0.55). CONCLUSION In subtalar arthrodesis, there is no significant difference in construct strength between dorsal-to-plantar and plantar-to-dorsal screw orientation.

The trace metal detection test (TMDT) is an effective and convenient technique to potentially link perpetrators and metallic weapons by comparing morphological information of developed imprints and suspected weapons. However, metallic items without characteristic patterns and incomplete contact with weapons often lead to inadequate morphological features in developed imprints on hands, resulting in difficulty in identifying suspected weapons and a failure to demonstrate potential relationships between perpetrators and weapons. This paper presents a subsequent procedure, after application of the TMDT, for inferring possible weapon-source of a specific imprint. As a proof of concept, all the experiments involved metallic items as an example and were carried out under controlled laboratory conditions. An analytical method was established by selecting elements of interest in developed imprints from seven metallic items (three groups), undertaking quantitative ICP-MS determination of the elements, and comparing the elements in these imprints (inter- and intra-group comparisons) and with those in their source items. Using the established method, possible groups and types of source metallic items could be inferred based on elemental characteristics in imprints, under the premise that no other metal sources exist before or after contacting specified metallic items. This method could be useful for providing investigative clues and evidence of association for developed imprints that lack unique morphological features and for verifying the results of color reactions in the TMDT. For this reason, it can serve as a standard supplementary procedure after the application of the TMDT, which could further strengthen the correlations between perpetrators and weapons even common metallic objects. V.PURPOSE Nowadays, (-)-cannabidiol (CBD) is gaining popularity for the treatment of various problems and can be found easily in many stores in Belgium. However, such product must comply with the law if the total tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content [(-)-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol + (-)-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinolic acid A (THC-A)] is higher than 0.2%, it is considered as narcotic by the Belgian legislation. In this context, we have developed a method to quantify major cannabinoids (THC, THC-A, CBD, cannabidiolic acid, cannabigerolic acid, cannabigerol and cannabinol) in plant material. METHODS After drying, a liquid-liquid extraction was performed on plant materials, followed by dilutions. Extracts were analyzed by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography combined with a photodiode array detector. Mobile phases consisted of methanol and 0.1% formic acid in water applied in a 16-minute gradient mode. After validating the method, it was applied to 213 samples seized by the police in CBD shops. RESULTS The method fulfilled the criteria in terms of specificity, calibration curve, precision, trueness and dosing range. Total THC content ranged from 0.14 to 1.17% (median 0.38%) with 110 samples exceeding the Belgian legal threshold of 0.2%. The amounts measured in the samples varied greatly, some were 6 times below the amount labelled on the packaging, others showed a concentration 4 times higher than stated on the package. Same strain also showed concentration differences from shop to shop. CONCLUSION Our method was successfully validated and applied to samples seized in CBD shops. Half of the products exceeded the Belgian legal threshold. THC and CBD concentrations discrepancies showed that products sold in CBD shops are not pharmaceutical grade. Dog attacks today represent a health hazard considering that prevention strategies have not always been successful. The identification of the dog that attacked the victim is necessary, considering the civil or criminal consequences for the animal's owner. An accurate scene analysis must be performed collecting a series of important information. Forensic investigations in dog attacks involve different methods, such as the evaluating of the canine Short Tandem Repeat (STR) typing in saliva traces on wounds or bite mark analysis, however, these techniques cannot always be applied. The effort to find new methods to identify the dog that attacked the victim represents a very interesting field for the forensic community. This study aims to propose an innovative approach, based on the identification of the victim's profile in the dog's mouth, using a buccal swab on the suspected aggressor dog, to find the victim's genetic profile. In addition, a further goal of this study is to determine the persistence time of hexogen DNA in the dog's mouth to define a timeframe for performing this particular technique. For this purpose, ten different dogs were used to aggressively bite a bovine sample (reference sample) to simulate the victim. For each dog two buccal swabs were taken at different time intervals 30', 45', 60', 90', 120', 150', 180' and 240'. The typing of the swabs provided an interpretable profile after 45' while traces of bovine profile were found until 150' after the dog attack simulation. We describe such lesions in a 62-year-old Muslim patient with uncontrolled glycemia who practiced prolonged, repeated religious prayers in sitting position causing significant pressure over dorsum of both ankles. He developed prayer-induced callous formation on dorsum of both ankles, with more thickening and a healed ulcer on left. Prayer-induced skin lesions should be carefully managed in patients with diabetes, who are more vulnerable for infections and gangrene due to as venous/arterial insufficiency and peripheral neuropathy. BACKGROUND Adequate sleep is crucial for normal functioning. However, most people, including middle-aged adults of reproductive age, show a marked reduction in their sleep duration. Thus, sleep is a major issue that should be addressed in health management. We investigated the effects of short-term sleep restriction on subjective parameters (sleepiness, stress, fatigue) and physiological parameters (cortisol, thyrotropin [TSH], thyroxine [T4], triiodothyronine [T3], C-reactive protein [CRP]) in middle-aged adults, the recovery of these parameters after rest, and the associations between parameters. METHODS A total of 118 healthy adults (59 men, 59 women), aged 35-44 years, and without sleep problems, were enrolled. Participants underwent a 4-h sleep restriction per day for 3 day at a hospital, and then returned to their daily lives to take four days of rest. A questionnaire and blood test were administered before and after sleep restriction, and after the recovery period, to assess subjective and physiological parameters.

An analytical method was established by selecting elements of interest in developed imprints from seven metallic items (three groups), undertaking quantitative ICP-MS determination of the elements, and comparing the elements in these imprints (inter- and intra-group comparisons) and with those in their source items. Using the established method, possible groups and types of source metallic items could be inferred based on elemental characteristics in imprints, under the premise that no other metal sources exist before or after contacting specified metallic items. This method could be useful for providing investigative clues and evidence of association for developed imprints that lack unique morphological features and for verifying the results of color reactions in the TMDT. For this reason, it can serve as a standard supplementary procedure after the application of the TMDT, which could further strengthen the correlations between perpetrators and weapons even common metallic objects. V.PURPOSE Nowadays, (-)-cannabidiol (CBD) is gaining popularity for the treatment of various problems and can be found easily in many stores in Belgium. However, such product must comply with the law if the total tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content [(-)-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol + (-)-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinolic acid A (THC-A)] is higher than 0.2%, it is considered as narcotic by the Belgian legislation. In this context, we have developed a method to quantify major cannabinoids (THC, THC-A, CBD, cannabidiolic acid, cannabigerolic acid, cannabigerol and cannabinol) in plant material. METHODS After drying, a liquid-liquid extraction was performed on plant materials, followed by dilutions. Extracts were analyzed by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography combined with a photodiode array detector. Mobile phases consisted of methanol and 0.1% formic acid in water applied in a 16-minute gradient mode. After validating the method, it was applied to 213 samples seized by the police in CBD shops. RESULTS The method fulfilled the criteria in terms of specificity, calibration curve, precision, trueness and dosing range. Total THC content ranged from 0.14 to 1.17% (median 0.38%) with 110 samples exceeding the Belgian legal threshold of 0.2%. The amounts measured in the samples varied greatly, some were 6 times below the amount labelled on the packaging, others showed a concentration 4 times higher than stated on the package. Same strain also showed concentration differences from shop to shop. CONCLUSION Our method was successfully validated and applied to samples seized in CBD shops. Half of the products exceeded the Belgian legal threshold. THC and CBD concentrations discrepancies showed that products sold in CBD shops are not pharmaceutical grade. An accurate scene analysis must be performed collecting a series of important information. Forensic investigations in dog attacks involve different methods, such as the evaluating of the canine Short Tandem Repeat (STR) typing in saliva traces on wounds or bite mark analysis, however, these techniques cannot always be applied. The effort to find new methods to identify the dog that attacked the victim represents a very interesting field for the forensic community. This study aims to propose an innovative approach, based on the identification of the victim's profile in the dog's mouth, using a buccal swab on the suspected aggressor dog, to find the victim's genetic profile. In addition, a further goal of this study is to determine the persistence time of hexogen DNA in the dog's mouth to define a timeframe for performing this particular technique. For this purpose, ten different dogs were used to aggressively bite a bovine sample (reference sample) to simulate the victim. For each dog two buccal swabs were taken at different time intervals 30', 45', 60', 90', 120', 150', 180' and 240'. The typing of the swabs provided an interpretable profile after 45' while traces of bovine profile were found until 150' after the dog attack simulation. He developed prayer-induced callous formation on dorsum of both ankles, with more thickening and a healed ulcer on left. CONCLUSIONS We can affirm that GCS score is underestimated in acutely intoxicated head trauma patients. In the end of the surgery, a balafilcon A lens was used in one eye and a samfilcon A lens was used in the fellow eye randomly. Pain, blurred vision, epiphora, photophobia, and foreign body sensation were assessed on the first and third postoperative day using a visual analogue scale (0 = no ocular pain or discomfort, 10 = highest level of ocular pain and discomfort). For balafilcon A and samfilcon A lenses, mean scores for pain were 6.22 ± 2.81 and 3.11 ± 2.90 on first postoperative day (p less then 0.001) and 1.57 ± 1.65 and 0.68 ± 0.85 on third postoperative day (p = 0.001), respectively; mean scores for foreign body sensation were 6.11 ± 2.53 and 3.19 ± 2.72 on first postoperative day (p less then 0.001) and 3.16 ± 1.92 and 1.35 ± 1.43 on third postoperative day (p less then 0.001), also respectively; and mean scores for epiphora were 6.46 ± 2.64 and 5.46 ± 3.40 on first postoperative day (p = 0.007) and 1.68 ± 1.60 and 1.32 ± 1.31 on third postoperative day (p = 0.065), again respectively. No significant difference in blurred vision or photophobia emerged between the lenses on first and third postoperative day after PRK. Wearing samfilcon A lenses after photorefractive keratectomy can significantly manage pain, decrease foreign body sensation on first and third postoperative day, and reduce epiphora on first postoperative day.

Spurred into action by the COVID-19 pandemic, the global scientific community has, in a short of period of time, made astonishing progress in understanding and combating COVID-19. Given the known human protein machinery for (a) SARS-CoV-2 entry, (b) the host innate immune response, and (c) virus-host interactions (protein-protein and RNA-protein), the potential effects of human genetic variation in this machinery, which may contribute to clinical differences in SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis and help determine individual risk for COVID-19 infection, are explored. The Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD) was used to show that several rare germline exome variants of proteins in these pathways occur in the human population, suggesting that carriers of these rare variants (especially for proteins of innate immunity pathways) are at risk for severe symptoms (like the severe symptoms in patients who are known to be rare variant carriers), whereas carriers of other variants could have a protective advantage against infection. The occurrence of genetic variation is thus expected to motivate the experimental probing of natural variants to understand the mechanistic differences in SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis from one individual to another.Uromodulin, also known as the Tamm-Horsfall protein or THP, is the most abundant protein excreted in human urine. It is associated with the progression of kidney diseases; therefore, changes in the glycosylation profile of this protein could serve as a potential biomarker for kidney health. Herein, we introduce a radically simplified sample preparation workflow, with direct ESI-MS analysis, enabling the quantification of N-linked glycans that originate from uromodulin. The method omits any glycan labeling steps but includes steps to reduce the salt content of the samples, thereby minimizing ion suppression. The method is effective for quantifying subtle glycosylation differences of uromodulin samples derived from different biological states. We also determined the crystal structure of BcCGL in complex with the PLP cofactor and identified the substrate binding mode. We observed that the replacement of the conserved Glu321 residue to alanine showed increased activity by providing wider active site entrance and hydrophobic interaction for the substrate. We suggest that the structural differences of the α13-α14 region in CGL enzymes might determine the active site conformation.Spin-orbit coupling (SOC), the relativistic effect describing the interaction between the orbital and spin degrees of freedom, provides an effective way to tailor the spin/magnetic orders using electrical means. Here, we report the manipulation of the spin-orbit interaction in the lattice-matched InSb/CdTe heterostructures. Owing to the energy band bending at the heterointerface, the strong Rashba effect is introduced to drive the spin precession where pronounced weak antilocalization cusps are observed up to 100 K. With effective quantum confinement and suppressed bulk conduction, the SOC strength is found to be enhanced by 75% in the ultrathin InSb/CdTe film. Most importantly, we realize the electric-field control of the interfacial Rashba effect using a field-effect transistor structure and demonstrate the gate-tuning capability which is 1-2 orders of magnitude higher than other materials. The adoption of the InSb/CdTe integration strategy may set up a general framework for the design of strongly spin-orbit coupled systems that are essential for CMOS-compatible low-power spintronics.Here we present a platform for discovery of protease-activated prodrugs and apply it to antibiotics that target Gram-negative bacteria. Because cleavable linkers for prodrugs had not been developed for bacterial proteases, we used substrate phage to discover substrates for proteases found in the bacterial periplasm. Rather than focusing on a single protease, we used a periplasmic extract of E. coli to find sequences with the greatest susceptibility to the endogenous mixture of periplasmic proteases. Using a fluorescence assay, candidate sequences were evaluated to identify substrates that release native amine-containing payloads. We next designed conjugates consisting of (1) an N-terminal siderophore to facilitate uptake, (2) a protease-cleavable linker, and (3) an amine-containing antibiotic. Using this strategy, we converted daptomycin-which by itself is active only against Gram-positive bacteria-into an antibiotic capable of targeting Gram-negative Acinetobacter species. The water content of the polymeric supramolecular system played a crucial role in exhibiting adhesion behavior at low temperatures. The adoption of the InSb/CdTe integration strategy may set up a general framework for the design of strongly spin-orbit coupled systems that are essential for CMOS-compatible low-power spintronics.Here we present a platform for discovery of protease-activated prodrugs and apply it to antibiotics that target Gram-negative bacteria. Because cleavable linkers for prodrugs had not been developed for bacterial proteases, we used substrate phage to discover substrates for proteases found in the bacterial periplasm. Rather than focusing on a single protease, we used a periplasmic extract of E. coli to find sequences with the greatest susceptibility to the endogenous mixture of periplasmic proteases. Using a fluorescence assay, candidate sequences were evaluated to identify substrates that release native amine-containing payloads. We next designed conjugates consisting of (1) an N-terminal siderophore to facilitate uptake, (2) a protease-cleavable linker, and (3) an amine-containing antibiotic. There were no significant relationships between the power variables and the 0-10 m sprint interval. Greater VJ height (r = -0.534) and PBM (r = -0.557) related to a faster 0-20 m sprint interval.
