We found negative curvilinear and negative linear relationships between male fundamental frequency (fo) and female perceptions of attractiveness and male perceptions of dominance. In addition, cortisol and testosterone negatively interacted in predicting fo, and strength and measures of body size negatively predicted formant frequencies (Pf). Our candidate-gene association analyses of GWAS datasets suggested an increased risk of breast cancer with ERCC6 (main effect 1.29 ≤ OR ≤ 2.91, 0.005 ≤ p ≤ 0.04, 11.8 ≤ MAF ≤ 40.9%), and implicated its interaction with ERCC8 (joint effect 3.03 ≤ OR ≤ 5.31, 0.01 ≤ pinteraction ≤ 0.03). We found significant upregulation of ERCC6 (p = 7.95 × 10-6) and ERCC8 (p = 4.67 × 10-6) in breast cancer and similar frequencies of ERCC6 (1.8%) and ERCC8 (0.3%) mutations in breast tumors to known breast cancer susceptibility genes such as BLM (1.9%) and LSP1 (0.3%). Several systematic reviews have evaluated the role of dual-task assessment in individuals with concussion. However, no systematic reviews to date have investigated dual-task protocols with implications for individuals with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury or ACL reconstruction (ACLR).
To systematically review the evidence on dual-task assessment practices applicable to those with ACL deficiency/ACLR, specifically with the aim to identify motor-cognitive performance costs.
Systematic review.
A systematic literature review was undertaken on those with ACL-deficient or ACL-reconstructed knees performing dual-task activities. The following databases were searched from inception to June 8, 2018 including CINAHL, PsychInfo, PubMed, SPORTDiscus, Web of Science, and gray literature. Three primary search categories (knee, cognition, and motor task) were included. Only one reviewer independently performed the database search, data extraction, and scored each article for quality. All studies were assessedlizing more difficult athletic movements.

Level 3a.Telecentric beam scanning using f-θ lenses offers nearly uniform spot size, linear beam displacement, and normal incidence angle over a planar surface. These unique properties allow for the minimization of imaging distortion over a wide field-of-view. In this article, we present a numerical method for designing custom f-θ lenses in the THz regime. We fabricated three lenses made from different commonly used polymer materials in the THz optics. We demonstrated their optical performance metrics compared to a conventional plano-convex lens over the broadband 0.3 THz-1 THz range. We find that the f-θ lens designed using the optical properties of high-density polyethylene achieved superior performance by maintaining a constant phase over a wide field of view of about 34°. We demonstrate this isophase property by measuring a constant time of arrival of the THz time-domain pulses over a reference mirror with a standard deviation of ∼19 fs, in excellent agreement with simulation predictions. This work will pave the way for the design and implementation of highly precise and fast telecentric imaging systems in the THz frequencies.Pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (PLP), the active form of vitamin B6, is an important and versatile coenzyme involved in a variety of enzymatic reactions, accounting for about 4% of all classified activities. Methionine-γ-lyase (MGL), a promising alternative anti-tumor agent to conventional chemotherapies whose catalytic mechanism is highly desired for guiding further development of re-engineered enzymes, was used as a representative PLP-dependent enzyme, and the catalytic mechanism for L-Met elimination by MGL was explored at the first-principles quantum mechanical/molecular mechanical (QM/MM) level with umbrella sampling. The QM/MM calculations revealed that the enzymatic reaction pathway consists of 4 stages for a total of 19 reaction steps with five intermediates captured in available crystal structures. Furthermore, the more comprehensive role of PLP was revealed. Besides the commonly known role of "electron sink", coenzyme PLP can also assist proton transfer and temporarily store the excess proton generated in some intermediate states by using its hydroxyl group and phosphate group. Thus, PLP is participated in most of the 19 steps. This study not only provided a theoretical basis for further development and re-engineering MGL as a potential anti-tumor agent, but also revealed the comprehensive role of PLP which could be used to explore the mechanisms of other PLP-dependent enzymes.Up to now, methods for measuring rates of reactions on catalysts required long measurement times involving signal averaging over many experiments. Ion imaging provides the desorbing product flux (reaction rate) as a function of reaction time for each laser pulse. We demonstrate the principle of this approach by rate measurements on two simple reactions CO desorption from and CO oxidation on the 332 facet of Pd. This approach overcomes the time-consuming scanning of the delay between CO and laser pulses needed in past experiments and delivers a data acquisition rate that is 10-1000 times higher. We are able to record kinetic traces of CO2 formation while a CO beam titrates oxygen atoms from an O-saturated surface. This approach also allows measurements of reaction rates under diffusion-controlled conditions.Rhodium nanoparticles (NPs) immobilized on imidazolium-based supported ionic liquid phases (Rh@SILP) act as effective catalysts for the hydrogenation of biomass-derived furfuralacetone. Bioengineering of skin has been significantly explored, ranging from the use of traditional cell culture systems to the most recent organ-on-a-chip (OoC) technology that permits skin modeling on physiological scales among other benefits. This article presents key considerations for developing physiologically relevant immunocompetent diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) models. Diabetic foot ulceration affects hundreds of millions of individuals globally, especially the elderly, and constitutes a major socioeconomic burden. When DFUs are not treated and managed in a timely manner, 15-50% of patients tend to undergo partial or complete amputation of the affected limb. Consequently, at least 40% of such patients die within 5 years postamputation. Organ-on-a-chip (OoC) technology offers desirable features that could finally enable the vision of modeling DFU for pathophysiological studies and drug testing at a microscale. This article brings together the significant recent findings relevant to developing a minimally functional immunocompetent DFU-on-a-chip model, as wound healing cannot occur without a proper functioning immune response. It looks feasible in the future to recapitulate the stagnant inflammation in DFU (thought to impede wound healing) using OoC, diseased cells, and an endogenously produced extracellular matrix.
The purpose of this review was to summarize the triumphs and pitfalls of tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) and immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) combinations.
A literature review of PubMed was conducted and studies were included if they were classified as a clinical trial and assessed TKI and ICI combinations for solid tumor malignancies. Dates of literature search included January 1, 1988 through September 22, 2019.
In the past decade, TKI and ICI monotherapy strategies have changed the management of many advanced solid tumors through their unique mechanisms of action. Denmark is a low-prevalence country for tuberculosis (TB), hepatitis B (HBV), and hepatitis C (HCV) but the three diseases have similar sociodemographic risk factors. We estimated the prevalence and possible risk factors of HBV and HCV among TB-patients in a large TB clinic in Denmark.
All patients starting anti-TB-treatment at Copenhagen University Hospital, Herlev-Gentofte from April 1
2018 through June 1
2019 were included. Results from HBV and HCV testing as well as sociodemographic information were collected. Risk factor analyses were carried out using descriptive statistics.
Of 82 patients tested for HBV, one (1.2%) had chronic HBV and 16 (19.5%) had serocleared HBV. Of 91 patients tested for HCV, three (3.3%) had chronic HCV and one (1.1%) had serocleared HCV. Country of origin other than Denmark was significantly associated with HBV-seropositivity among TB-patients, particularly patients from Greenland, Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe. No other significantly associated risk factors were found.

Bioengineering of skin has been significantly explored, ranging from the use of traditional cell culture systems to the most recent organ-on-a-chip (OoC) technology that permits skin modeling on physiological scales among other benefits. This article presents key considerations for developing physiologically relevant immunocompetent diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) models. Diabetic foot ulceration affects hundreds of millions of individuals globally, especially the elderly, and constitutes a major socioeconomic burden. When DFUs are not treated and managed in a timely manner, 15-50% of patients tend to undergo partial or complete amputation of the affected limb. The tPA exclusion criteria, defined decades ago, require updates as new technologies emerge. Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), which has begun to replace open surgery, poses a risk for acute stroke and falls outside of prior tPA guidelines. CASE REPORT Here we describe a post-TAVR patient treated safely with IV-tPA for presumed AIS. CONCLUSION Previously undescribed, we suggest that tPA should be considered for post-TAVR AIS patients who otherwise satisfy inclusion and exclusion criteria.INTRODUCTION Paroxysmal sympathetic hypersensitivity (PSH) has become more frequently recognized in patients with severe neurological brain injury. Left untreated, PSH has been associated with poor neurological outcomes. Currently, most therapeutic options are circumstantial with evidence stemming from subjective case reports. CASE SERIES Two young females were admitted after cardiac arrest and found to have anoxic brain injury with subsequent PSH. Initial treatment was targeted at relief of the hyperadrenergic symptoms, which included bromocriptine, propranolol, opioids and benzodiazepines. These therapies were minimally effective, and the patients remained comatose. After initiation of enteral baclofen treatment, they exhibited drastic reduction of PSH symptoms and became alert and interactive. After a 6-week hospital stay, they were both discharged to long-term rehabilitation centers. CONCLUSION This case series reviews the current therapies used for PSH and discusses 2 patients with uncontrolled PSH secondary to anoxic brain injury. Both patients arose from coma and had significant symptomatic improvement with enteral baclofen treatment. Thus, enteral baclofen should be considered as a primary treatment for PSH to prevent sustained symptoms and prolonged hospitalizations.OBJECTIVE To determine the feasibility of nonmydriatic fundus photography in the neurology outpatient setting and to record frequency of clinically relevant fundus findings. METHODS Over 5 weeks, fundus photographs were obtained using a nonmydriatic fundus camera in both eyes of adult patients attending our general neurology and headache clinics. A neurologist, who had received 15 minutes of training on the use of the camera, took the photographs. Quality of photographs was graded. Photographs were reviewed by 2 neuro-ophthalmologists. Treating neurologists completed a survey on the use of this technology in the neurology clinic. Feasibility parameters including ease, comfort, speed, quality, and clinical relevance of nonmydriatic fundus photography was assessed. RESULTS We obtained 505 fundus photographs of 206 patients. Median time to completion of photographs per patient was 2.12 minutes. Mean rating for ease, comfort, and speed was 9.7 out of 10. Among these, 160 had normal and 44 had abnormal findings. In 114 of 206 patients, neurologists relied on photographs for ocular fundus assessment. In the remaining 92 patients, 18 patients had abnormal photographs, of which neurologists missed the abnormality in 14 (78%). All neurologists preferred nonmydriatic fundus photography over direct ophthalmoscopy. CONCLUSIONS Using nonmydriatic fundus photography in an outpatient neurology clinic is feasible without disrupting patient flow or causing patient discomfort. All participants were separated into groups 35 years of age and younger (millennials; n = 29) and older than 35 years (Gen X/boomers; n = 27). Majority of RN/SS were 26-35 years of age (43.5%) and 50.0% had less than 3 years of nursing experience. Half of the leaders were 36-45 years of age (p = .01 vs. RN/SS), and 70.0% had 16 years of experience or greater (p = .001). There was 91 female-to-male ratio in both groups (p = .8). The RN/SS rated "salary increase" highest and leaders rated "celebration for years of service" highest (both means 4.4). Yanghe decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine prescription and has been used for breast cancer treatment for many years. However, the effective ingredients in the decoction have not been identified. The feasibility of the model was verified by testing the retention behaviors of five drugs on the protein column. We applied the model in screening the bioactive components in yanghe decoction. Rutin, liquiritin, and a compound ([M-H]- 681.7) were identified to be the potential bioactive ingredients. We studied the binding property between rutin and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 by injection amount dependent method, competitive studies, and molecular docking. We found that rutin can bind to the protein through the typical inhibitor binding site of the protein. Therefore, the chromatographic model is a useful tool to screen bioactive compounds from traditional Chinese medicine. The method is fast, reliable, and applicable to other functional proteins that can screen the potential lead compounds for the treatment of the related diseases.
To evaluate the frequency of sexual intercourse and sexual activity of patients after nerve-sparing (NS) robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RARP).
We prospectively obtained 2-years longitudinal Expanded Prostate Cancer Index Composite (EPIC) and Sexual Health Inventory for Men (SHIM) score data from 99 patients. We classified the frequency of sexual intercourse and sexual activity as 'none', 'less than once a week', 'about once a week', 'several times a week', and 'daily'.
The percentages of patients who took part in sexual activity before and at 3, 6, 9, 12, 18, and 24months after NS RARP were 55.6%, 27.9%, 38.8%, 42.5%, 44.4%, 41.7%, and 42.1%, respectively. The percentages of patients who took part in sexual intercourse before and at 3, 6, 9, and 12, 18, and 24months after NS RARP were 40.4%, 9.0%, 13.3%, 16.3%, 16.7%, 22.2%, and 23.7%, respectively. Preoperative sexual status was classified into two groups those who had sexual intercourse or those who only had sexual activity except sexual intercourse. Sexual function (SF) was investigated longitudinally using the EPIC and SHIM data between the two groups. The SHIM data showed an improvement in SF in the sexual intercourse group, but did not do so in the sexual activity except sexual intercourse group. On the other hand, SF in the EPIC data might reflect the postoperative improvement of SF in the sexual activity except sexual intercourse group.

Recurrent pleomorphic adenoma (PA) can be a lifelong disease, and rates of subsequent recurrence are high.
Patients between 2000 and 2015 were identified. Primary outcome was subsequent recurrence after surgical salvage.
Twenty-seven of 84 patients developed a subsequent recurrence. Risk factors for subsequent recurrence included a higher number of previous recurrences (P < .01), worse preoperative facial nerve function (P < .01), and deep parotid lesion(s) (P < .01). Interval since last surgery was protective (P < .01), specifically >10 years since last surgery (P < .01). For patients with a >10-year interval since their last surgery, the subsequent recurrence-free rate at 10 years follow-up was 80.2% vs 31.8%.
For patients presenting with a >10-year interval since their last surgery, subsequent recurrence rates are low, which may allow for as needed surveillance recommendations. For patients presenting with recurrent PA and ≤10 years since their last surgery, a closer surveillance is warranted.

The incidence of candidemia in our hospital has been stable over an 18-year period (1.3 episodes per 1000 admissions). Since March 2020, we have observed an increase in cases of candidemia.
In March 2020, the hospital was prepared to receive patients with COVID-19, with cancellation of elective procedures, discharge of less sick patients and the activation of beds for COVID-19. We compared the incidence of candidemia in 2 periods from January 2019 to February 2020 (period 1) and from March to September 2020 (period 2).
We diagnosed 41 episodes of candidemia, 16 in period 1 and 25 in period 2 (9 COVID-19 patients). Compared with non-COVID-19 patients, COVID-19 patients with candidemia were more likely to be under mechanical ventilation (100% vs. 34.4%, P<.001). The median number of monthly admissions in period 1 and 2 was 723 (interquartile range 655-836) and 523 (interquartile range 389-574), respectively. Yanghe decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine prescription and has been used for breast cancer treatment for many years. However, the effective ingredients in the decoction have not been identified. The feasibility of the model was verified by testing the retention behaviors of five drugs on the protein column. We applied the model in screening the bioactive components in yanghe decoction. Rutin, liquiritin, and a compound ([M-H]- 681.7) were identified to be the potential bioactive ingredients. We studied the binding property between rutin and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 by injection amount dependent method, competitive studies, and molecular docking. We found that rutin can bind to the protein through the typical inhibitor binding site of the protein. Therefore, the chromatographic model is a useful tool to screen bioactive compounds from traditional Chinese medicine. The method is fast, reliable, and applicable to other functional proteins that can screen the potential lead compounds for the treatment of the related diseases. To evaluate the frequency of sexual intercourse and sexual activity of patients after nerve-sparing (NS) robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RARP). The percentages of patients who took part in sexual intercourse before and at 3, 6, 9, and 12, 18, and 24months after NS RARP were 40.4%, 9.0%, 13.3%, 16.3%, 16.7%, 22.2%, and 23.7%, respectively. This study presents a novel strategy to accelerate the start-up of aerobic granular sludge (AGS) system and ensure the nutrient removal during cultivation. This new method consists of preparing the chitosan-based sludge aggregates outside the reactor and then seeding the reactor with such sludge aggregates. To prepare chitosan-based sludge aggregates, chitosan was dissolved in acetic acid solution acting as a cationic flocculant to bind negatively charged sludge together, and then the dissolved chitosan was in situ precipitated by readjusting pH to form stable sludge aggregates. The chitosan-induced charge neutralization and water-insolubility of chitosan were the two main reasons for the super-rapid formation of chitosan-based sludge aggregates. The as-prepared chitosan-based sludge aggregates had a **** lower sludge volume index at 30 min (SVI30) (90.1 mL/g) than the original sludge (SVI30 = 328.0 mL/g). They also had some AGS-like characteristics such as large particle size (1300 μm) and fast settling velocity (23.8 m/h). Consequently, short settling time can be achieved and excessive biomass wash-out can be avoided in the rapid start-up of AGS system with chitosan-based sludge aggregates as inoculant, which was beneficial to accelerating sludge granulation while maintaining nutrient removal. Additionally, the abundances of filamentous bacteria and Candidatus Accumulibacter and the content of extracellular polymeric substances increased during cultivation, which could also contribute to the AGS formation. Hierarchical cluster analysis of the Raman spectrum could accurately select the target Geobacter cluster. The high relative abundance of the membrane transport functional genes ftsEX in the biofilm community indicated an adaptation to reduced temperature, which aided survival of the electroactive bacteria under low temperature. The basal metabolism such as citrate cycle and glycolytic pathway maintained the electron pool for the EET process. The identification of iron (III) transport system genes in high abundance indicated their presence in an active metabolic reaction for potential electron transfer process. The abundance of MPs in aquatic environment and organisms varies periodically with rainfall. The abundance of MPs in snakehead, mandarin fish, common carp, crucian carp, chub, fingerling, grass carp, mollusc, microzoobenthos, zooplankton increased about 3.97, 2.87, 2.35, 1.8, 1.48, 1.8, 1.86, 1.98, 1.99, 3.49 times of the initial abundance of MPs in them, respectively. Suggestions are made on how new technologies surrounding DNA-based sequence analysis for fungal and bacterial identification and real-time chemical sensor technology can be leveraged by practitioners to improve inspection and remediation. The workshop put into effect a logical progression to distill and extract practice-based implications and encourage the process of transfer of the science to practice. Goals for the workshop, and this subsequent paper, are also centered on encouraging US government-funding agencies to better position and define research on the built environment geared for end-user scientists and practitioners to better explore practical solutions to dampness and mold in indoor environments. By facilitating the workshop forum and targeting industry, field practitioners, and government agencies, a sharing of needed commonalities may be infused into future research agendas and outreach efforts.The analysis of the sustainability should be addressed with a holistic approach that facilitates an integral analysis of the social, economic, institutional and environmental factors and their interactions characterizing complex socio-ecological systems (SES). Binary logistic regression was employed to assess relationships between %EWL and %TWL and to calculate a joint predictor. The association between early weight loss and sustained weight maintenance was assessed as a function of %EWL, %TWL, and this joint predictor, with receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves being used for optimal cutoff threshold identification.
In total, 143 individuals with average preoperative weight and BMI values of 88 (82, 95) kg and 31.99 (29.41, 33.15) kg/m
, respectively, were enrolled in present study. At 5years, 48.00% of patients achieved successful weight loss. Both 3-month %EWL and %TWL were significantly related to sustained weight loss at 5years (P < 0.05). ROC curves were used to identify %TWL of 19.54% at 3months as the most reliable predictor of weight loss at a 5-year follow-up (sensitivity 61.11%, specificity 76.92%).

Intestinal electrical stimulation (IES) has been proposed as a potential treatment for obesity. The aim of this study was to explore the central mechanism underlying the reduction of food intake and body weight by IES by studying the expression of anorexigenic- and orexigenic-peptide-containing neurons in the hypothalamus.
Diet-induced obese (DIO) rats were divided into three groups to receive sham, IES, and pair-feeding for 4weeks. Food intake was measured automatically and presented as daily and body weight measured weekly. The expressions of oxytocin, an anorexigenic neuropeptide, in the paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus (PVN) and the supraoptic nuclei of the hypothalamus (SON) and orexin-A, an orexigenic neuropeptide, in the lateral hypothalamic area (LHA) were studied using immunohistochemistry.
Compared with sham, IES reduced daily food intake by 28.3% at week 1, 35.6% at week 2, 15.6% at week 3, and 27.1% at week 4. Consistently, IES reduced body weight by 6.3%, compared with a weight gain of 7.2% in sham, and a slight weight loss of 0.5% in pair-feeding. Compared with sham, IES increased the expression of oxytocin-immunoreactive neurons in PVN and SON. Compared with sham, IES decreased the expression of orexin-immunoreactive neurons in LHA. Rats with pair-feeding also showed a relative decease in weight without any changes in the central hormones.

Bariatric surgery improves oxidative damage, but little is known about the differences between Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) and sleeve gastrectomy (SG). This study compared changes in lipid and protein oxidative damage markers and their correlations with body parameters of patients before and after RYGB or SG.
Body mass index (BMI), bioimpedance parameters, and biochemical parameters including lipid and protein oxidative damage markers were evaluated before and 6months after surgery. In total, 143 individuals with average preoperative weight and BMI values of 88 (82, 95) kg and 31.99 (29.41, 33.15) kg/m , respectively, were enrolled in present study. At 5years, 48.00% of patients achieved successful weight loss. Both 3-month %EWL and %TWL were significantly related to sustained weight loss at 5years (P < 0.05). ROC curves were used to identify %TWL of 19.54% at 3months as the most reliable predictor of weight loss at a 5-year follow-up (sensitivity 61.11%, specificity 76.92%). Diet-induced obese (DIO) rats were divided into three groups to receive sham, IES, and pair-feeding for 4weeks. Food intake was measured automatically and presented as daily and body weight measured weekly. Mixed methods design.
The study started in 2016 and ended in 2019. In the qualitative phase, the primary source was analysis, following Chabod's historical method (2012), while the quantitative phase involved statistical analysis of textual data.
All data came from the only nursing category magazine of the time 'L'Infermiera Italiana' (The Italian Nurse), published from 1939-1943.
From 112 articles analysed, the gradual elevation of the nurse emerged, including the partial replacement of 'old' nurses with Graduate Nurses. The analysis shows the maturation in structure, differentiation and specification, together with the birth of a new professional image. The accepted image of the nurse was now a woman of high moral character with religious ideals, but less known for her technical skills, an exception being the Visiting Health Assistant who functioned at a high level in the society.
The study shows an articulated, congruent and cohesive set of dimensions through which to review history and to understand the dynamics underlying the structuring of the nurse's professional image.
A better understanding of the dynamics behind the development of the professional image will guide present and future actions on gender stereotypes and their negative effects on the safety and quality of nursing care. International synergies and alliances are required.

Given the homology between human and canine AD, and the increased incidence of epilepsy in atopic people, we investigated the association between AD and seizure-associated activity in a small canine population.
We included 34 atopic dogs and 34 breed- and age range-matched nonatopic dogs.
We investigated the association between canine AD and signs of seizures in a retrospective, breed- and age range-matched, case-controlled study. Dog owners were interviewed using a standardized questionnaire. The presence or absence of signs of seizure activity and possible comorbidities were questioned.
Seven of the 34 atopic dogs also suffered from seizure activity. By contrast, only one dog affected with seizure signs could be identified among the 34 nonatopic dogs. Atopic dermatitis was associated with a higher frequency of seizure activity (McNemar test, P=0.035; one-sided) and atopic dogs had a higher odds ratio to develop seizures [(95% CI) 7 (0.9-56.9)] compared to the age- and breed-matched nonatopic control group. No other comorbidities were detected.
In our small retrospective study, we observed an increased prevalence of seizure activity in the atopic dog population. Further larger and prospective studies are needed to confirm these results.

This study aimed to present rates of BRCA1/2 result disclosure by probands and probands' motivators and barriers of family communication and predictive testing uptake among eligible relatives. It also examined patterns of disclosure and testing uptake among different types of relatives. Eighty-seven carriers with either breast or ovarian cancer, who had previously been found to be carriers of a pathogenic variant in BRCA1/2, were interviewed over the phone using a semi-structured interview guide. Fifty-six percent of patients were Chinese, 21% were Indian, and 23% were Malay. It was found that 62.0% of eligible first- and second-degree relatives were informed by the proband about the testing result and that 11.5% of eligible first- and second-degree relatives had genetic testing. First-degree relatives were more likely to have been informed and tested compared to second-degree relatives, as were sisters compared to brothers. The low rates of family communication and testing uptake documented in this study suggest that interventions should focus on encouraging probands to inform male and second-degree relatives and targeting such relatives to increase informed decisions and accessibility to testing. Promotion strategies should be culturally sensitive to optimize outcomes.

The low rates of family communication and testing uptake documented in this study suggest that interventions should focus on encouraging probands to inform male and second-degree relatives and targeting such relatives to increase informed decisions and accessibility to testing.
