Methods SGLT1 levels were measured in diabetic patients with similar conditions who visited our hospital from January to December 2019. Wistar male rats (n = 50) were divided into five groups control, diabetes induced by streptozotocin infusion, and diabetes treated with 0.5, 1.0, or 1.5 mg/kg mizagliflozin via stomach gavage for 12 weeks. H9C2 cardiomyocytes were treated with mizagliflozin and then exposed to a high glucose concentration (30 mmol/L). TUNEL assays were performed, and bcl2, bax, p-p38, p-Erk, p-JNK and caspase-3 levels were measured. We used siRNA and an SGLT1 overexpression plasmid to detect the effects of SGLT1. Results SGLT1 levels were significantly elevated in DCM patients, and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis identified SGLT1 as influencing DCM. For exposure assessment, Pb, Cd, As, and Hg have resulted in higher than acceptable risks in 25 kinds of herbs. The maximal Estimated Daily Intake of Pb in seven herbs, of Cd in five, of Hg in four, and As in three exceeded their corresponding Provisional Tolerable Daily Intakes. In total 25 kinds of herbs present an unacceptable risk as assessed with the Hazard Quotient or Hazard Index. Additionally, the carcinogenic risks were all under acceptable limits. Notably, As posed the highest risk in all indicators including Estimated Daily Intake, Hazard Index, and carcinogenic risks. Ovarian cancer is the most lethal of all gynecologic cancers.1 Primary debulking surgery (PDS) with achievement of no residual tumor (RT, 0) still is the recommended treatment, and the one with the greatest prognostic impact.2,3 Given the usual disease spread, several surgical procedures often are needed, and one of the most frequent is rectosigmoid resection.4 Anastomotic leak is the most feared complication. Other common complications are persistent urinary, defecatory, and sexual dysfunction due to autonomic nervous system injuries during surgery.5 Even if mesorectal resection is not deemed part of the treatment paradigm for advanced ovarian cancer (AOC), total mesorectal excision (TME) is the most common surgical technique used. However, for selected cases, with detection of no lymphadenopathies at the origin of the of the inferior mesenteric artery and a favorable ratio between the length of the left colon and the extent of the bowel carcinomatosis, a mesorectal-sparing resection with the preservation of the superior rectal artery and the mesorectal tissue should be pursued. This report presents the case of a 54-year-old woman with a diagnosis of FIGO stage 3C AOC who underwent PDS. The video (video 1) provides a step-by-step description of the surgical technique adopted for colorectal resection with mesorectal-sparing technique. There is consensus that systemic chemotherapy should be the first line of therapy for most patients. Radiation therapy is the most commonly used and best-studied local ablative therapy. One recent randomized controlled trial (LAP-07) failed to demonstrate an overall survival benefit for conventional chemoradiation therapy after induction chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone. This study had several limitations, and ongoing studies are re-evaluating the role of chemoradiation after more effective chemotherapy regimens as well as more advanced radiation techniques. In parallel, there has been increasing interest in other thermal and non-thermal methods of ablation. In particular, irreversible electroporation has gained traction for treatment of LAPC, with at least one ongoing randomized controlled trial designed to address its role compared with systemic chemotherapy alone. Multiple preclinical and clinical studies are investigating combinations of local ablation and immunotherapy with the goal of generating immune responses that will meaningfully improve outcomes.
The ACOSOG Z0011 trial showed that completion axillary lymph node dissection (cALND) can be safely omitted for some patients with T1-2 clinically node-negative breast cancer with one to two involved sentinel lymph nodes (SLNs) treated with breast-conserving therapy (BCT). A total of 306 patients were included, 199 (65.0%) of whom were treated with BCT and 107 (35.0%) with mastectomy. Patients treated with mastectomy were more often treated with cALND compared with those treated with BCT (71.0% versus 26.6%, p < 0.0001). Overall, 52 of the mastectomy patients (68.4%) could have avoided cALND if they had chosen BCT.

Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is a rare but aggressive malignancy, and many prognostic factors that influence survival remain undefined. Individually, the GRAS (Grade, Resection status, Age, and Symptoms of hormone hypersecretion) parameters have demonstrated their prognostic value in ACC. This study aimed to assess the value of a cumulative GRAS score as a prognostic indicator after ACC resection.
A retrospective cohort study of adult patients who underwent surgical resection for ACC between 1993 and 2014 was performed using the United States Adrenocortical Carcinoma Group (US-ACCG) database. A sum GRAS score was calculated for each patient by adding one point each when the criteria were met for tumor grade (Weiss criteria ≥3 or Ki67 ≥20%), resection status (micro- or macroscopically positive margin), age (≥50 years), and preoperative symptoms of hormone hypersecretion (present). Overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) by cumulative GRAS score were analyzed by the Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test.
Of the 265 patients in the US-ACCG database, 243 (92%) had sufficient data available to calculate a cumulative GRAS score and were included in this analysis. The 265 patients comprised 23 patients (10%) with a GRAS of 0, 52 patients (21%) with a GRAS of 1, 92 patients (38%) with a GRAS of 2, 63 patients (26%) with a GRAS of 3, and 13 patients (5%) with a GRAS of 4. An increasing GRAS score was associated with shortened OS (p < 0.01) and DFS (p < 0.01) after index resection.
In this retrospective analysis, the cumulative GRAS score effectively stratified OS and DFS after index resection for ACC. Further prospective analysis is required to validate the cumulative GRAS score as a prognostic indicator for clinical use.

Furthermore, immune cells at the scaffolds differentiate early- and late-stage disease with greater accuracy (0.83) than the natural metastatic site (liver, 0.50). TA and BVLD were successfully immobilized onto the stent surface with considerable amounts of 330 ± 12 and 930 ± 80 ng/cm2, respectively. The abundant phenolic hydroxyl groups of TA imparted the stent with ability to suppress inflammation. Meanwhile, BVLD provided an antithrombogenic and endothelial-friendly microenvironment. This paper summarizes the global challenges and gaps faced in monitoring the quality of fortified foods, the guidance produced in response to these challenges, where we are today in terms of effective implementation, and what approaches and opportunities may be usefully applied to enhance the quality of fortified foods moving forward.Ultrasonic (US) treatment was combined with pH shifting (pHS) and mild thermal (40 °C) (T40) treatment (US/T40/pHS) to improve the solubility of potato protein. The effects of the ultrasonication frequency, ultrasonication time, and incorporation sequence on the solubility of potato protein were investigated. The results showed that online US/T40/pHS treatment resulted in higher solubility of potato protein and enhanced free amino group release during in vitro digestion. The solubility of potato protein treated with online US/T40/pHS at a mono-frequency of 40 kHz for 15 min increased by 1.73 times compared with the control (p less then 0.05). The digestibility rate increased by 16.0% and 30.8% during gastric and intestinal digestion, respectively, compared with the control (p less then 0.05). It was demonstrated that online US/T40/pHS treatment significantly changed the secondary and tertiary structures of potato protein according to the results of circular dichroism and internal fluorescence. SDS-PAGE, particle size, and atomic force microscopy (AFM) showed that structural changes led to the formation of large soluble aggregates. The purpose of this study was to obtain the relationships between friction-induced vibration and the friction coefficient, specific pressure, temperature, and stiffness of the bearing support during the shutdown process of WLRBs. Using transient dynamic analysis (Abaqus/Standard), the shutdown process of the bearing system was simulated by setting a friction coefficient curve, and with the fast Fourier transform (FFT), the data in the time domain were then converted to the frequency domain. In addition, an orthogonal table was applied to select the best level for each factor. The results show that proportionally increasing the friction coefficient and specific pressure caused higher vibrations, and the effect of the specific pressure on vibration is more prominent than that of the friction coefficient. Higher temperatures led to an increase in the peak frequency of noise (squeal) and the virtual value of acceleration. Increasing the stiffness of the bearing support decreased the higher-frequency squeal but dramatically increased the lower-frequency chatter. This paper summarizes the global challenges and gaps faced in monitoring the quality of fortified foods, the guidance produced in response to these challenges, where we are today in terms of effective implementation, and what approaches and opportunities may be usefully applied to enhance the quality of fortified foods moving forward.Ultrasonic (US) treatment was combined with pH shifting (pHS) and mild thermal (40 °C) (T40) treatment (US/T40/pHS) to improve the solubility of potato protein. The effects of the ultrasonication frequency, ultrasonication time, and incorporation sequence on the solubility of potato protein were investigated. The results showed that online US/T40/pHS treatment resulted in higher solubility of potato protein and enhanced free amino group release during in vitro digestion. The solubility of potato protein treated with online US/T40/pHS at a mono-frequency of 40 kHz for 15 min increased by 1.73 times compared with the control (p less then 0.05). The digestibility rate increased by 16.0% and 30.8% during gastric and intestinal digestion, respectively, compared with the control (p less then 0.05). It was demonstrated that online US/T40/pHS treatment significantly changed the secondary and tertiary structures of potato protein according to the results of circular dichroism and internal fluorescence. SDS-PAGE, particle size, and atomic force microscopy (AFM) showed that structural changes led to the formation of large soluble aggregates. The purpose of this study was to obtain the relationships between friction-induced vibration and the friction coefficient, specific pressure, temperature, and stiffness of the bearing support during the shutdown process of WLRBs. Using transient dynamic analysis (Abaqus/Standard), the shutdown process of the bearing system was simulated by setting a friction coefficient curve, and with the fast Fourier transform (FFT), the data in the time domain were then converted to the frequency domain. In addition, an orthogonal table was applied to select the best level for each factor. The results show that proportionally increasing the friction coefficient and specific pressure caused higher vibrations, and the effect of the specific pressure on vibration is more prominent than that of the friction coefficient. Higher temperatures led to an increase in the peak frequency of noise (squeal) and the virtual value of acceleration. Increasing the stiffness of the bearing support decreased the higher-frequency squeal but dramatically increased the lower-frequency chatter. The following parameters were evaluated acid mixture (H2SO4, H3PO4, CH2O2 or CH3COOH with HNO3, 2 to 14.4 mol L-1), ultrasound amplitude (10 to 70%) and reaction time (5 to 50 min). The minimum inhibitory concentration of FAMEs was calculated to be 155 μg/mL for Chromulina sp. and 162 μg/mL for Nannochloropsis sp. against L. monocytogenes. Time-killing kinetics showed that FAMEs efficiently inhibited the growth of L. monocytogenes in a time and concentration dependent manner. The mechanism of action of FAMEs was studied by analysing its effects at a ****on the cellular metabolism, membrane permeability, and membrane integrity of L. monocytogenes. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) results showed that cells exposed to FAMEs showed damaged cell membrane structure with leakage of the internal contents in the cells of L. monocytogenes. Fluorescence microscopy images showed that L. monocytogenes cells treated with FAMEs showed high dead cell population corresponding with propidium iodide positive cells. We screened 9600 small chemical compounds in high-throughput screening using cholangiocarcinoma cell line HuCCT1 expressing BEX2 protein fused with NanoLuc, and identified a compound, BMPP (1, 3-Benzenediol, [4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl]). BMPP was found to exert decreasing effects on BEX2 protein expression and G0 phase population of the tumor cells, and increasing effects on ATP levels and chemotherapeutic sensitivity of the cells. These findings indicate that BMPP is a valuable chemical compound for reducing dormant CSC-related phenotypes. Thus, the identification of BMPP as a potential CSC suppressor provides scope for the development of novel therapeutic modalities for the treatment of cancers with BEX2 overexpressing CSCs.

The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of bariatric surgery on non-traffic accident-related fractures in patients with obesity.
This retrospective cohort study was conducted using the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database. Patients aged 18 to 55 years with obesity diagnosis between 2003 and 2008 were enrolled and divided into two groups non-surgical and bariatric surgery groups. After propensity score matching, 1322, 1322, and 4359 subjects were included in the bariatric surgery (BS), non-surgical (NS), and general population (GP) groups, respectively. Based on multivariate analysis, the risk of overall fractures is similar between the BS group (hazard ratio [HR] = 0.774, p = 0.164) and the NS group; nevertheless, the risk of overall fractures was higher in the BS group (HR = 2.210, p<0.001) than in the GP group. The BS group had a significantly lower risk of non-traffic accident-related fractures (HR = 0.542, p = 0.010) than the NS group but a higher risk of non-traffic accident-related fractures (HR = 1.693, p = 0.023) than the GP group.

Our purpose is to present the video of a revisional bariatric surgery made by laparoscopic approach in a patient with a previous open retrogastric retrocolic Capella gastric bypass.
The patient presents dysphagia, gastroesophagic reflux disease (GERD), and pain, with a BMI of 36 kg/m
. Her supplementary tests show a hiatal hernia, GERD, and a Candy Cane Syndrome. The surgery was difficult due to multiple adhesions. Hiatal hernia was repaired and pillars were closed. The band was visualized intraoperatively close to the gastrojejunal anastomosis, although the high endoscopy did not detect neither stenosis nor difficulty of passage to the gastric pouch. It showed the retrogastric gastrojejunal anastomosis with a normal food loop and a 15-cm widened blind loop (Candy Cane Syndrome), which was resected.

The time interval between bariatric surgery and pregnancy is controversial. In this study, we report and compare the outcomes of pregnancy from two groups of bariatric surgery (BS) patients who became pregnant less than 12 months (early) and above 12 months (late) after surgery.
For this retrospective study, women of reproductive age who became pregnant after BS between 2010 and 2019 were reviewed, allocated into two groups, and compared. Perinatal care was provided as standards and continued at monthly intervals by a gynecologist. Demographic data, pregnancy-related events, results of any screening tests in each trimester, the reports of all ultrasonographies, and lab data were extracted from their medical documents. Chi-square and t-test were used for analysis.
Four hundred seventy-seven out of 1046 participants were of reproductive age. 12 and 37 women were put in early and late pregnancy groups, respectively. No significant difference was observed in the rate of maternal complications, outcomes of pregnancies, and the rate of fetal and neonatal problems in pregnancies conceived during the first vs. second year postbariatric surgery. 91.6% of the patients with early pregnancy had at least one perinatal/neonatal finding. Mean neonatal birth weight was 2610 ± 152 and 2881 ± 315 g in early and late pregnancy groups, respectively. Patients with early pregnancy were not at significantly higher odds for any pregnancy-related or neonatal complications.

Our purpose is to present the video of a revisional bariatric surgery made by laparoscopic approach in a patient with a previous open retrogastric retrocolic Capella gastric bypass. The patient presents dysphagia, gastroesophagic reflux disease (GERD), and pain, with a BMI of 36 kg/m . Her supplementary tests show a hiatal hernia, GERD, and a Candy Cane Syndrome. The surgery was difficult due to multiple adhesions. Hiatal hernia was repaired and pillars were closed. The band was visualized intraoperatively close to the gastrojejunal anastomosis, although the high endoscopy did not detect neither stenosis nor difficulty of passage to the gastric pouch. It showed the retrogastric gastrojejunal anastomosis with a normal food loop and a 15-cm widened blind loop (Candy Cane Syndrome), which was resected. She had a left pneumonia and damage in left hepatic lobe (LHL). She was discharged after antibiotic treatment for 7 days. The patient has improved clinically, without dysphagia nor GERD. In this study, we report and compare the outcomes of pregnancy from two groups of bariatric surgery (BS) patients who became pregnant less than 12 months (early) and above 12 months (late) after surgery. For this retrospective study, women of reproductive age who became pregnant after BS between 2010 and 2019 were reviewed, allocated into two groups, and compared. Perinatal care was provided as standards and continued at monthly intervals by a gynecologist. Demographic data, pregnancy-related events, results of any screening tests in each trimester, the reports of all ultrasonographies, and lab data were extracted from their medical documents. A total of 109 consecutive patients who were over 18 years of age with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 and endemic HCoVs were enrolled. Finally, 19 patients with SARS-CoV-2 CAP were compared to 40 patients with endemic HCoV CAP. Flu-like symptoms such as cough, sore throat, headache, myalgia, and prolonged fever were more common in SARS-CoV-2 CAP, whereas clinical findings suggestive of bacterial pneumonia such as dyspnea, leukocytosis with left shift, and increased C-reactive protein were more common in endemic HCoV CAP. Bilateral peripherally distributed ground-glass opacities (GGOs) were typical radiologic findings in SARS-CoV-2 CAP, whereas mixed patterns of GGOs, consolidations, micronodules, and pleural effusion were observed in endemic HCoV CAP. Coinfection was not observed in patients with SARS-CoV-2 CAP, but was observed in more than half of the patients with endemic HCoV CAP. There were distinctive differences in the clinical and radiologic findings between SARS-CoV-2 and endemic HCoV CAP. Further investigations are required to elucidate the mechanism underlying this difference. The aim of this study was to identify the best feeding regime in mass-rearing colonies of Glossina palpalis gambiensis to optimize the yield of sterile males. We investigated the mortality and fecundity for various feeding regimes and day alternation (3× Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 4× Monday-Wednesday-Friday-Saturday, 4× Monday-Wednesday-Thursday-Friday and 6× all days except Sunday) on adult tsetse flies in routine rearing over 60 days after emergence. The day alternation in the 4 blood meals per week (feeding regimes 2 and 3) had no effect on tsetse fly mortality and fecundity. The best feeding regime was the regime of 4 blood meals per week which resulted in higher significant fecundity (PPIF = 2.5; P = 0.003) combined with lower mortality of females (P = 0.0003) than the 3 blood meals per week (PPIF = 2.0) and in similar fecundity (PPIF = 2.6; P = 0.70) and mortality (P = 0.51) than the 6 blood meals per week. This feeding regime was extended to the whole colonies, resulting in an improved yield of sterile males for the ongoing eradication program in Senegal and would be more cost-effective for the implementation of the next-coming sterile insect technique (SIT) programs in West Africa.
To combat social distancing and stay-at-home restrictions due to COVID-19, Canadian communities began a Facebook social media movement, #Caremongering, to support vulnerable individuals in their communities. Little research has examined the spread and use of #Caremongering to address community health and social needs.
We examined the rate at which #Caremongering grew across Canada, the main ways the groups were used, and differences in use by membership size and activity.
We searched Facebook Groups using the term "Caremongering" combined with the names of the largest population centres in every province and territory in Canada. We extracted available Facebook analytics on all the groups found, restricted to public groups that operated in English. We further conducted a content analysis of themes from postings in 30 groups using purposive sampling. Posted content was qualitatively analyzed to determine consistent themes across the groups and between those with smaller and larger member numbers.
The search of Facebook groups across 185 cities yielded 130 unique groups, including groups from all 13 provinces and territories in Canada.

Autophagy-related genes Atg4a, LC3B, and Beclin-1 were determined using qPCR, Western blot, or immunofluorescence. In addition, RNA interference was used to analyze the effect of Atg4a on the induction of autophagy. TargetScan 7.2 was used to predict the target genes of miR-433, and Smad9 was determined using qPCR. Results Our results indicated that miR-433 increased the expression of Atg4a and induced autophagy by increasing the expression of LC3B-Ⅱ and Beclin-1 in an Atg4a-dependent manner. In addition, miR-433 upregulated the expression of Cdk12 and inhibited cell proliferation in a Cdk12-dependent manner and promoted apoptosis in HT-22 cells under the treatment of 10-hydroxycamptothecin. Conclusion The results of our study suggest that miR-433 may regulate neuronal growth by promoting autophagy and attenuating cell proliferation. Voxel-based degree centrality (DC) was calculated as a measure of global synchronization and compared between PD patients and HC groups matched in terms of disease onset and severity. DC was decreased in bilateral Rolandic operculum and left insula and increased in the left superior frontal gyrus (SFG) and precuneus of EOPD patients compared to YCs. DC was decreased in the right putamen, mid-cingulate cortex, bilateral Rolandic operculum, and left insula and increased in the right cerebellum-crus1 of LOPD patients compared to OCs. Correlation analyses showed that DC in the right cerebellum-crus1 was inversely associated with the Hamilton Depression Scale (HDS) score in LOPD patients. Thus, EOPD and LOPD patients show distinct alterations in global synchronization relative to HCs. Furthermore, our results suggest that the left SFG and right cerebellum-crus1 play important roles in the compensation for corticostriatal-thalamocortical loop injury in EOPD and LOPD patients, whereas the cerebellum is a key hub in the neural mechanisms underlying LOPD with depression. Hence, in this feasibility study, we seek to investigate the following question Can tumor location on treatment-naïve MRI provide early cues regarding likelihood of a patient developing pseudo-progression vs. tumor recurrence? In this study, 74 pre-treatment Glioblastoma MRI scans with PsP (33) and tumor recurrence (41) were analyzed. First, enhancing lesion on Gd-T1w MRI and peri-lesional hyperintensities on T2w/FLAIR were segmented by experts and then registered to a brain atlas. Using patients from the two phenotypes, we construct two atlases by quantifying frequency of occurrence of enhancing lesion and peri-lesion hyperintensities, by averaging voxel intensities across the population. Analysis of differential involvement was then performed to compute voxel-wise significant differences (p-value less then 0.05) across the atlases. Statistically significant clusters were finally mapped to a structural atlas to provide anatomic localization of their location. Our results demonstrate that patients with tumor recurrence showed prominence of their initial tumor in the parietal lobe, while patients with PsP showed a multi-focal distribution of the initial tumor in the frontal and temporal lobes, insula, and putamen. These preliminary results suggest that lateralization of pre-treatment lesions toward certain anatomical areas of the brain may allow to provide early cues regarding assessing likelihood of occurrence of pseudo-progression from tumor recurrence on MRI scans.

Aligning with the major cell types found within the ischemic brain, stem-cell-based clinical trials for ischemic stroke have fallen under three broad cell lineages hematopoietic, mesenchymal, and neural. In this study, 74 pre-treatment Glioblastoma MRI scans with PsP (33) and tumor recurrence (41) were analyzed. First, enhancing lesion on Gd-T1w MRI and peri-lesional hyperintensities on T2w/FLAIR were segmented by experts and then registered to a brain atlas. Using patients from the two phenotypes, we construct two atlases by quantifying frequency of occurrence of enhancing lesion and peri-lesion hyperintensities, by averaging voxel intensities across the population. Analysis of differential involvement was then performed to compute voxel-wise significant differences (p-value less then 0.05) across the atlases. Statistically significant clusters were finally mapped to a structural atlas to provide anatomic localization of their location. Our results demonstrate that patients with tumor recurrence showed prominence of their initial tumor in the parietal lobe, while patients with PsP showed a multi-focal distribution of the initial tumor in the frontal and temporal lobes, insula, and putamen. BPS-associated clostridia encode a large and diverse spectrum of degradative carbohydrate-active enzymes (CAZymes) that enable them to utilize the intramuscular carbohydrate stores and facilitate sporulation. In total, 516 glycoside hydrolases (GHs), 93 carbohydrate esterases (CEs), 21 polysaccharide lyases (PLs), 434 glycosyl transferases (GTs) and 211 carbohydrate-binding protein modules (CBM) with predicted activities involved in the breakdown and transport of carbohydrates were identified. Clostridia genomes have different patterns of CAZyme families and vary greatly in the number of genes within each CAZy category, suggesting some level of functional redundancy. In this work, an ammonium metabolic network during SAV fermentation was constructed through the meta-transcriptomic analysis of in situ samples, and the potential mechanism of acid affecting ammonium metabolism was revealed. The results showed that ammonium was enriched as the acidity increased. Meta-transcriptomic analysis showed that the conversion of glutamine to ammonia is the key pathway of ammonium metabolism in vinegar and that Lactobacillus and Acetobacter are the dominant genera. When added to UHT skim milk, a concentration of 1000 mg/L inhibited L. monocytogenes growth through 7 days of storage at 7 °C, and application of 1300 and 1500 mg/L reduced counts to levels below the limit of enumeration at day 21. In contrast, 2000 mg/L were necessary to inhibit growth through 7 days in whole milk. Glycolipid solutions at concentrations ≥10% reduced L. monocytogenes counts on Queso Fresco through 7 days when applied as a dip. A specific and rapid detection of this fungus therefore is required. In the current study, a loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay was developed and optimized for the species-specific detection of P. expansum. The assay showed high specificity during tests with genomic DNA of 187 fungal strains. The detection limit of the developed assay was 25 pg genomic DNA of P. expansum per reaction. The assay was successfully applied for the detection of the fungus on artificially contaminated apples, grapes, apple juice, apple puree, and grape juice. The developed assay is a promising tool for rapid, sensitive, specific, and cost-efficient detection of P. expansum in quality control applications in the food and beverage industry.Beer production is predominantly carried out by Saccharomyces species, such as S. cerevisiae and S. pastorianus.
