When I first started Retro Bowl, I ignored the facility upgrades and focused entirely on signing the best players I could find. That was a huge mistake. Within two seasons, my players were constantly injured and the fan support was at an all-time low. My personal experience has since changed—I now prioritize the stadium and training grounds. It’s a much slower build, but seeing my team become a stable powerhouse is so much more satisfying. You really have to think about the "business" side of the sport. Managing the coaching staff is another layer I’ve grown to love; hiring a defensive coordinator with a high rating can actually win you games even though you don't control the defense yourself. It’s this hidden depth that makes the game so much more than just a retro throwback. It’s a living, breathing world that reacts to every move you make.
