The star of “The Matrix” franchise and John Wick franchise Keanu Reeves once conceded the fact that the star of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise Johnny Depp was better than him in looks.

Nobody is stopping fans from drawing some unnecessary similarities between Keanu Reeves and Johnny Depp, but the truth is that the two are very different from each other, both in appearance and in behaviors.

However, it must be noted that both the actors have managed to stay afloat in Hollywood for more than three decades, and both are almost of the same age. You can argue that Jack Sparrow actor Johnny Depp is 15 months older than the former.

You can also argue that both of the actors started out their acting careers in 1984 when Johnny Depp starred in the film “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and Keanu Reeves played a cameo in the situational comedy titled “Hangin’ In.” Both the actors started climbing the ladder of success when Johnny Depp joined Tim Burton in his directorial venture “Edward Scissorhands.” Scissorhands was also the first of many strange characters that Johnny Depp played on the screen. Johnny Depp powered his stardom engine in the year 1991 when he starred in the film “Invoice & Ted’s Bogus Journey,” drama film “My Personal Non-public Idaho,” and the film “Level Break.”

Keanu Reeves had given an interview around that time, which has come to the fore not until recently. The interview reveals the fact that the actor had always been a sympathetic and humble kind of person, and this persona has not developed in recent years. He was not “needy for attention” in the year 1991, and he is still the same person today. Johnny Depp does have some problems to face now as his fallen marriage with Aquaman star Amber Heard continues to haunt him. He did lose the case he had filed against his ex-wife and the newspaper “The Sun” for the allegations that the two have blatantly called him “wife-beater” without any substantial proof.

The lost judicial case did make him lose out on the two big franchises, “Fantastic Beasts” and “Pirates of the Caribbean,” which, in turn, resulted in the actor professionally descending into a downward spiral.

Meanwhile, Keanu Reeves is currently busy with the production of The Matrix 4. He will be shooting the fourth and fifth installments of John Wick sometime this year.
