However, no studies have evaluated the association between LVDD and septic acute kidney injury (AKI) among patients with severe sepsis and septic shock.

This multicenter retrospective study evaluated adult patients with severe sepsis or septic shock between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2019, who underwent echocardiography within 24 hours after admission to an intensive care unit.

A total of 495 adult patients were enrolled in the study. LVDD grades II and III were associated with severe (stage 3) AKI (

for trend < 0.001). E/e' and e' were risk factors for septic AKI (OR, 1.155; 95% CI, 1.088-1.226,
 < 0.001; and OR, 7.218; 95% CI, 2.942-17.712,
 < 0.001, respectively) in the multivariate logistic regression analysis. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of E/e' and e' was 0.728 (95% CI, 0.680-0.777,
 < 0.001) and 0.715 (95% CI, 0.665-0.764,
 < 0.001), respectively.

LVDD was associated with septic AKI, and E/e' and e' are useful predictors of septic AKI among patients with severe sepsis or septic shock.

When acetate was used, dissolved oxygen (DO) was quickly consumed and resulted in an anoxic condition for 52 h. Then, DO increased quickly by photosynthetic reaction. Whenever we put acetate in a reactor after DO was recovered to higher than 7 mg/L, cells were quickly grown via cell respiration, which subsequently resulted in an anoxic condition. Compared to aeration, ammonium acetate, ammonium acetate with aeration tests, the highest maximum biomass productivity of 0.73 g/L/d was obtained for pH control test with ammonium acetate dosage. From this study, we found that DO was essential for the fast assimilation of acetate and depleted DO was quickly regenerated for pH control test. From this fact, we found that pH control test with ammonium acetate dosage was the best cultivation method for Scenedesmus acuminatus under mixotrophic condition. These findings could be a useful reference for maximizing the cultivation of S. acuminatus in industrial-scale applications.Increasing numbers of female victims of violent sexual assaults are being murdered with the aim of concealing the identity of the perpetrator. This paper presents a case study where improper handling of biological evidence led to loss of evidentiary value, and the semen could not be located on the vaginal swabs and victim's garments due to improper preservation of samples. NICCAT thermodynamic functions were detected in the range of 100-1000 K. The thermal strong stability of developed crystals was evaluated by TGA/DTA measured. Powerful biological actions on humans cervical cancer cell line was observed and proved to be effective. The in vitro and in silico anticancer studies show that NICCAT has better activity against human cervical cancer cell line (HeLa) and in bioinformatics analysis.
In this study, we aimed to investigate self-esteem and clinical features in clinically referred children and adolescents with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and comorbid Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) and compare these to children and adolescents without SAD.

One hundred and twenty child and adolescent drug-naïve outpatients (6-15 years of age) with a primary diagnosis of ADHD were included. Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia for School Age Children-Present and Lifetime Version (K-SADS-PL), was used to evaluate ADHD and comorbidities. Parents filled in clinical and sociodemographic data form, Conners Parent Rating Scale (CPRS) and patients filled in Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES) and Çapa Social Phobia Scale for children and adolescents (ÇESFÖ).

Forty-six of the 120 (38.3%) children had comorbid SAD. Forty-six patients with SAD (ADHD + SAD group) and 74 patients without SAD (ADHD without SAD group) were compared in terms of the sociodemographic and clinical features, rate of psychiatric comorbidities, and rating scale scores.
