Spherical aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy characterization reveals that the Re atoms are incorporated at the substitutional Mo sites in the MoS2 lattice. The incorporation of Re atoms leads to n-type doping of MoS2 as evidenced by Kelvin probe force microscope studies. Electrical measurements reveal that the transport properties of the Re-doped monolayer MoS2 is dramatically enhanced as compared with the pristine MoS2. The CVD method developed in this study can be applied to the production of a variety of two-dimensional transition-metal dichalcogenide films suitable for applications in electronic devices.Metal halides doping of perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) has been shown to precisely control nonradiative pathways and to improve photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY). Here, we report a trivalent lanthanide halide neodymium (III) chloride (NdCl3)-doped perovskite NCs prepared with a post-synthetic room temperature treatment for efficient blue light-emitting devices (LEDs). The Nd 3d and Cl 2p core peaks were observed in the NdCl3-doped NCs, which allowed for simultaneous doping of Nd3+ and Cl- into the pristine CsPbBr3 NCs. The NdCl3-doped NCs exhibited blue emission at a peak wavelength of 478 nm with a high PLQY of 97% in solution. We found that the Nd3+ cation incorporated into the NCs more effectively suppressed nonradiative recombination compared with common halide anion exchange from temperature dependence of optical properties. Blue LEDs based on NdCl3-doped NCs had an external quantum efficiency of 2.7%, which represents a considerable performance improvement compared with LEDs based on organic chloride salt-doped NCs.Homocysteine (Hcy) is one of the important biomarkers of clinical diagnosis, which is closely related to the occurrence and development of many diseases. Current analysis methods have difficulties in detecting Hcy in cells and living organisms. As a powerful technique, fluorescence methods combined the laser confocal imaging technology can achieve real-time visual tracking in cells and in vivo. Herein, we establish a conjugated copolymer-based fluorescence nanosensor (DPA-PFNP-Cu(II)) using the connected 2,7-dibromofluorene and 4,7-bis (2-bromothiophen-5-yl)-2-1-3-benzothiadiazole as the main chain. The competitive coordination between Hcy and Cu(II) allows the fluorescence of the polymer off to on. Finally, the nanosensor is applied for in situ imaging of Hcy levels in the kidney and liver of diabetic **** and is found that Hcy levels were positively correlated with the degree of diabetes. Notably, the depth of tissue penetration of the nanosensor enables Hcy detection of the liver and kidney through in vivo imaging without damage. Two-photon imaging and in vivo imaging achieve consistent results, which correct each other, improving the accuracy of the test result. The present works provide a new imaging technique for studying the occurrence and development of diabetes and screening of new drugs for treatment at the living level.Selective transformation of biomass feedstocks to platform molecules is a key pursuit for sustainable chemical production. Compared to petrochemical processes, biomass transformation requires the defunctionalization of highly polar molecules at relatively low temperatures. As a result, catalysts based on functional organic polymers may play a prominent role. Targeting the hydrogenolysis of the platform chemical 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF), here, we design a polyphenylene (PPhen) framework with purely sp2-hybridized carbons that can isolate 5-HMF via π-π stacking, preventing hemiacetal and humin formation. With good swellability, the PPhen framework here has successfully supported and dispersed seven types of metal particles via a newly developed swelling-impregnation method, including Ru, Pt, Au, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu. Ru/PPhen is studied for 5-HMF hydrogenolysis, achieving a 92% yield of 2,5-dimethylfuran (DMF) under mild conditions, outperforming the state-of-the-art catalysts reported in the literature. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/lirafugratinib.html In addition, PPhen helps perform a solventless reaction, achieving direct 5-HMF to DMF conversion in the absence of any liquid solvent or reagent. This approach in designing support-reactant/solvent/metal interactions will play an important role in surface catalysis.
Diabetic macular edema (DME) is a sight-threatening condition that needs regular examinations and remedies. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is the most common used examination to evaluate the structure and thickness of the macula, but the software in the OCT machine does not tell the clinicians whether DME exists directly. Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to aid in diagnosis generation and therapy selection. We thus develop a smartphone-based offline AI system that provides diagnostic suggestions and medical strategies through analyzing OCT images from diabetic patients at the risk of developing DME.

DME patients receiving treatments in 2017 at Taipei Veterans General Hospital were included in this study. We retrospectively collected the OCT images of these patients from January 2008 to July 2018. We established the AI model based on MobileNet architecture to classify the OCT images conditions. The confusion matrix has been applied to present the performance of the trained AI model.

Based on the convolutional neural network with the MobileNet model, our AI system achieved a high DME diagnostic accuracy of 90.02%, which is comparable to other AI systems such as InceptionV3 and VGG16. We further developed a mobile-application based on this AI model available at https//aicl.ddns.net/DME.apk.

We successful integrated an AI model into the mobile device to provide an offline method to provide the diagnosis for quickly screening the risk of developing DME. With the offline property, our model could help those nonophthalmological healthcare providers in offshore islands or underdeveloped countries.
