To determine the reliability, responsiveness, and convergent validity of the Four-Meter Walk Test (4mWT) compared to the Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT) surrounding total knee arthroplasty (TKA).
Secondary analysis of a randomized controlled trial.

One hundred sixty-two patients (aged 63.5 ± 7.4 (mean ± sd) years; 89 females) undergoing TKA participated.
4mWT (usual and fastest) and 6MWT were measured 1-2weeks preoperatively, and 1, 2, 3, 6 and 12months post-operatively.
4mWT demonstrated excellent test-retest reliability with Interclass Correlation Coefficients (ICC's) ranging from 0.80 to 0.93 s. 4mWT also demonstrated small measurement error with Standard Error of Measurement (SEM) ranging from 0.15 to 0.35 s. 4mWT (fastest) demonstrated similar responsiveness to 6mWT in the first 2 months after surgery and better responsiveness from 2 to 3months after surgery. Convergent validity between 6MWT and 4mWT (fastest) was high, with Pearson correlation coefficients ranging from 0.73 space and time requirements to conduct each test, 4mWT may be preferred for routine clinical assessment. Liver tissue levels of GPx and MDA as well as semiquantitative RT-PCR analysis of hepatic cytokine expression were also conducted. In the SCI group, results showed liver tissue damage in the form of lipid infiltration, blood vessel congestion, vacuolated cells with apoptotic nuclei and increased collagen deposition. Increased CD68-positive macrophages and a decreased number of PCNA-positive cells was detected. Moreover, liver enzymes, total cholesterol and triglycerides were increased while serum albumin, total proteins and HDL-c were decreased in the SCI group. Oxidative stress and increased expression of inflammatory cytokines were detected. According to age-specific analyses, the youngest category (20-29 years) had the highest median values of serum TSH in all BMI groups. With increasing BMI, the 2.5th percentile of TSH remained approximately unchanged and the 97.5th percentile showed an increasing pattern. FT4 level was significantly higher in the normal weight group compared to obese individuals (p less then .001); females had significantly lower FT4 levels than males in normal weight and obese groups (p less then .001). According to age categories, the youngest group (20-29 years) had higher levels of FT4 than the elderly group in all BMI categories. A decreasing pattern in both 2.5th and 97.5th percentiles of FT4 was observed along with increasing BMI. Conclusions Compared to the normal weight population, obese individuals have slightly lower FT4 concentrations accompanied by similar TSH levels. With increasing BMI, upper limits of TSH and FT4 show increasing and decreasing patterns, respectively.
The healthcare system and service capacity are overwhelmed by the Covid-19 pandemic. There is a substantial unmet need for rehabilitation service to all patients affected by Covid-19 directly or indirectly. This article aims to describe how to rapidly reconfigure and bring rehabilitation services **** during the pandemic.
The Steer committee meeting was held for the development of a strategic preparedness plan and safety management based on principles and evidence of rehabilitation, which will lead to effective mitigation of consequences resulted from Covid-19.
Five measures were taken in Southwest China during the pandemic, which includes the "First contact responsibility" and management system; the full-coverage system for nosocomial infection control; the "Closed-off management" system; the full-coverage system for body temperature monitoring; the adoption of 5G-based telerehabilitation. With the implementation of these measures, the capacity and capability were enhanced to safely reopen and operate rehabilitation facilities in Southwest China.
