These coefficients are utilized as features symbolizing the chest X-ray input image. After applying zero-padding to unify their lengths, the feature vectors are introduced to a SVM which classifies them as either normal or COVID-19 cases.

The proposed system yields promising results in terms of classification accuracy, which justifies further work in this direction.

The DWT can produce a few features that are highly discriminative. By reducing the dimensionality of the feature space, the proposed system is able to reduce the number of required training images and diminish the space and time complexities of the system.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has raised concerns about the susceptibility amongst different groups of the population. Pregnant women are one such group. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of COVID-19 on pregnancy and maternal/neonatal outcomes.

This case series was conducted on 16 pregnant women with COVID-19 from March 21 to May 11, 2020. Clinical characteristics, pregnancy complications, medication used, maternal/neonatal outcomes, and fatality rate were investigated through this study. The mean age of the patients was 30.06 yrs. Patients from all three trimesters were included (1 in first, 5 in second, and 10 in the third trimesters). The most common clinical symptoms were shortness of breath (n = 10), dry cough (n = 10), myalgia (n = 8), and chills (n = 7). Also, three cases had papulosquamous skin lesions with fissuring. The most common laboratory results were leukocytosis (n = 8), increased liver enzymes (n = 6), elevated CRP (n = 5), and thrombocytopenia (n = 4). They should be planned individually.

To investigate the impact of MSG administration on the intensity of gonadotoxicity of QU.

Sixty eight-wk old Wistar rats weighing 180-200 gr were divided into six groups (n = 10/each) the first group as a control; the second and third groups received low and high doses of MSG (2 & 4 gr/kg i.p.), respectively, for 28 days; the fourth group received QU for seven days (25 mg/kg); and in the fifth and sixth groups, QU was gavaged following the MSG administration (MSG + QU) from day 22 to day 28. Serum testosterone and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels were measured. Testes samples were prepared for tissue MDA levels, histomorphometry, and immunohistochemistry of p53. Sperm analysis was performed on cauda epididymis.

Serum and tissue MDA levels were increased in treated groups compared to the control group. This increment was higher in the MSG + QU groups.
