The Japanese archipelago is located at the periphery of the continent of Asia. Rivers in the Japanese archipelago, separated from the continent of Asia by about 17 Ma, have experienced an intermittent exchange of freshwater fish taxa through a narrow land bridge generated by lowered sea level. As the Korean Peninsula and Japanese archipelago were not covered by an ice sheet during glacial periods, phylogeographical analyses in this region can trace the history of biota that were, for a long time, beyond the last glacial maximum. In this study, we analyzed the phylogeography of four freshwater fish taxa, Hemibarbus longirostris, dark chub Nipponocypris temminckii, Tanakia ssp. and Carassius ssp., whose distributions include both the Korean Peninsula and Western Japan. We found for each taxon that a small component of diverse Korean clades of freshwater fishes migrated in waves into the Japanese archipelago to form the current phylogeographic structure of biota. The replacements of indigenous populations by succeeding migrants may have also influenced the phylogeography.
Neurological alterations are one of the main complications occurring after the third molar extractions. The aim of this prospective multicenter cohort study was to find out Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) features and distribution of neurological complications in patients undergoing lower third molar surgery and to determine the radiological and patient-related factors that could be correlated to the occurrence of inferior alveolar and lingual nerves injury.
378 patients who underwent lower third molar extraction from March 2018 to March 2019 were included. Clinical and radiological data were collected. CBCT features were recorded following Maglione et al. classification. Symptoms and characteristics of patients who experienced neurological alterations were evaluated.
193 patients needed a second-level radiological exam (CBCT). In these patients, the most common feature was Maglione class 3 a higher frequency of apical or buccal mandibular canals in direct contact with the tooth was observed. 3.17% of the patients developed a neurological complication. Maglione class 4, increased age, and operative time were all positively correlated with neurological alterations.
while the buccal or apical position of the mandibular canal was the more common findings, the lingual position was found to have a higher correlation with a negative outcome. Age and operative time were also found to be risk factors for developing nerve injury in the considered population.

The eligible non-hypertensive subjects (n = 3,396,187) among the National Health Insurance Service-National Health Screening (NHIS-HEALS) examinees (n = 10,644,911) in 2009 were followed up until 2015. A Cox proportional hazards regression was used to estimate the risk of the high blood glucose level for the incident hypertension while controlling for covariates' confounding effect. The cumulative incidence rate was 10.6% for seven years (11.6% in men and 8.3% in women). The incidence density was 1474.8 per 100,000 person-years. High fasting blood glucose (adjusted Hazard Ratio (aHR), 1.836; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.810 to 1.862), prediabetes (aHR, 1.249; 95% CI, 1.237 to 1.260), a history of diabetes mellitus (aHR, 1.635; 95% CI, 1.605 to 1.666), high triglyceride (aHR, 1.292; 95% CI, 1.280 to 1.303), a history of dyslipidemia (aHR, 1.279; 95% CI, 1.253 to 1.305) and prehypertension group (aHR, 1.964; 95% CI, 1.948 to 1.979) were significantly related to the incident hypertension after adjusting for covariates. Among real-world data in Korea, high blood glucose level was the independent risk factor for developing hypertension.
Healthcare information includes sensitive data and, as such, must be secure; however, the risk of healthcare information leakage is increasing. Nurses manage healthcare information in hospitals; however, previous studies have either been conducted on medical workers from various other occupations or have not synthesized various factors. The purpose of this study was to create and prove a model of nurses' healthcare information security (HIS). The hypothetical model used in this study was constructed on the basis of the protection motivation theory (PMT) proposed by Rogers.
A total of 252 questionnaires scored using a five-point Likert scale were analyzed, incorporating data from nurses who had been working for more than one month in general hospitals with more than 300 beds in South Korea. The survey was conducted over a total of 30 days, from 1 to 30 September 2019.
The results showed that coping appraisal significantly influence HIS intentions (estimate = -1.477,
< 0.01), whereas HIS intentions significantly influence HIS behavior (estimate = 0.515,
< 0.001). A moderating effect on the association between coping appraisal and HIS intentions was found in the group of nurses who had been working for <5 years (estimate = -1.820,
< 0.05). Moreover, a moderating effect on the association between HIS intentions and HIS behavior was found in the group of nurses who had been working for <5 years (estimate = 0.600,
< 0.001).
The results of this study can be used to develop a management plan to strengthen nurses' HIS behavior and can be used by nursing managers as a basis for developing education programs.

The thermal behavior of the prepared samples was investigated under heating in oxidative environment using thermogravimetric analysis. The hardness was measured using the Shore D hardness test. To evaluate the flammability of the samples, the ignition temperature and time-to-ignition were determined. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/bicuculline.html It was concluded that sodium bicarbonate in the studied concentrations (10 and 15 wt%) is not appropriate for use as a filler capable of improving the thermooxidative stability and reducing the flammability of epoxy polymers. The thermooxidative destruction of the samples filled with boric acid passes more slowly and more evenly via the formation of B2O3 as a result of its decomposition.
