  • Based on the Richards-Wolf vector diffraction integration, we obtained the expressions of the intensity and velocity of femtosecond radially polarized pulses at the focus near a dielectric interface, and the pulses are modulated by an optical system consisting of diffractive optical elements (DOEs) and a high numerical aperture (NA) lens. The factors that affected the intensity distribution and velocity evolution of the three-dimensional optical capture structural pulse (optical chain) are also analyzed. In addition, the equivalent principal point error converges quickly and hardly affects the attitude of the star tracker, which is verified by both theory and experiment. Based on our previous work, the surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy detection was performed on the beverages containing fentanyl by the prepared AgNPs and the SE-SERDS spectra of test samples were collected by the dual-wavelength rapid excitation Raman difference spectroscopy system. In addition, the quantitative relationship between fentanyl concentrations and the Raman peaks was constructed by the Langmuir equation. The experimental results show that the limits of quantitation for fentanyl in distilled water and Mizone were 10 ng/mL and 200 ng/mL, respectively; the correlation coefficients for the nonlinear regression were as high as 0.9802 and 0.9794, respectively; and the relative standard deviation was less than 15%.   • Skin graft vascularization is investigated mainly by histological evaluation. Immunohistochemical analysis has been conducted only in ****. Transcutaneous oxygen tension (TcPO2 ), which is an index of blood flow, has not been evaluated in skin grafts and only a few studies have reported biologic monitoring data using color tone evaluation and surface temperature. In humans, these tests can be performed non-invasively. To evaluate human skin graft vascularization, we analyzed biomonitoring data after skin grafting. We evaluated 14 patients who underwent skin grafting surgery at Nagoya City University Hospital. The TcPO2 , color tone, surface temperature, and dermoscopic observations at recipient sites were measured at postoperative day (POD) 4, 6, and 11. Mean TcPO2 levels at POD4, 6, and 11 were 12.7, 15.2, and 33.5 mmHg, respectively, and significantly higher at POD11 than at POD4 (p = 0.003, Steel-Dwass test). Dermoscopic observation revealed gradually increasing redness and yellowness. Color tone evaluation measured by spectrophotometry supported the appearance. The a*(redness) value at POD4, 6, and 11 was 6.19, 9.20, and 11.27, respectively, and significantly higher at POD11 than at POD4 (p less then 0.001, Steel-Dwass test). The b*(yellowness) value at POD4, 6, and 11 was 8.83, 9.24, and 13.02, respectively, and significantly higher at POD11 than at POD4 (p = 0.020, Steel-Dwass test). The surface temperature did not significantly differ between graft and control sites. These findings suggest that skin graft vascularization started by POD6 and stabilized by POD11. Because TcPO2 increases after POD4, skin grafts should remain undisturbed until at least POD11.Severe pulmonary hypertension (PHT) is a contraindication to liver transplantation (LT); however, the prognostic implication of mild to moderate PHT in living-donor LT (LDLT) is unknown. The study cohort retrospectively included 1307 patients with liver cirrhosis who underwent LDLT. PHT was defined as a mean pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) of ≥25 mmHg, measured intraoperatively just before surgery. After topical application, only the Trio formulation profoundly increased lateral packing of lipids and their compactness. Cryo-SEM showed that, unlike the placebo formulation, the Trio formulation prevented the water loss when applied before the dehydration process.
    Skin graft vascularization is investigated mainly by histological evaluation. Immunohistochemical analysis has been conducted only in mice. Transcutaneous oxygen tension (TcPO2 ), which is an index of blood flow, has not been evaluated in skin grafts and only a few studies have reported biologic monitoring data using color tone evaluation and surface temperature. In humans, these tests can be performed non-invasively. To evaluate human skin graft vascularization, we analyzed biomonitoring data after skin grafting. We evaluated 14 patients who underwent skin grafting surgery at Nagoya City University Hospital. The TcPO2 , color tone, surface temperature, and dermoscopic observations at recipient sites were measured at postoperative day (POD) 4, 6, and 11. Mean TcPO2 levels at POD4, 6, and 11 were 12.7, 15.2, and 33.5 mmHg, respectively, and significantly higher at POD11 than at POD4 (p = 0.003, Steel-Dwass test). Dermoscopic observation revealed gradually increasing redness and yellowness. Color tone evaluation measured by spectrophotometry supported the appearance. The a*(redness) value at POD4, 6, and 11 was 6.19, 9.20, and 11.27, respectively, and significantly higher at POD11 than at POD4 (p less then 0.001, Steel-Dwass test). The b*(yellowness) value at POD4, 6, and 11 was 8.83, 9.24, and 13.02, respectively, and significantly higher at POD11 than at POD4 (p = 0.020, Steel-Dwass test). PHT was defined as a mean pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) of ≥25 mmHg, measured intraoperatively just before surgery. Despite the rapidly increasing number of preclinical studies using BCT to overcome the limitations of conventional cancer treatments, very few BCT studies have advanced to clinical trials. In patients undergoing BCT, the precise localization and quantification of bacterial density in different body locations is important; however, most clinical trials have used subjective clinical signs and invasive sampling to confirm bacterial colonization. There is therefore a need to improve the visualization of bacterial densities using noninvasive and repetitive in vivo imaging techniques that can facilitate the clinical translation of BCT. In vivo optical imaging techniques using bioluminescence and fluorescence, which are extensively employed to image the therapeutic process of BCT in small animal research, are hard to apply to the human body because of their low penetrative power. Thus, new imaging techniques need to be developed for clinical trials. In this review, we provide an overview of the various in vivo bacteria-specific imaging techniques available for visualizing tumor-treating bacteria in BCT studies.
    Little is known about how sheltering in place to contain the spread of COVID-19 over extended periods affects individuals' psychological well-being. This study's objective was to analyze the factors associated with MSM's (men who have sex with men) low psychological well-being in the COVID-19 pandemic context.

    This cross-sectional study was conducted online across Brazil (26 states and federal district) in April and May 2020. The participants were recruited using snowball sampling and Facebook posts. Data were collected using social media and MSM dating apps. We estimated the prevalence, crude prevalence ratio (PR), and the respective confidence intervals (CI95%).

    The prevalence of low psychological well-being found in the sample was 7.9%. Associated factors were belonging to the youngest group (PR 2.76; CI95% 1.90-4.01), having polyamorous relationships (PR 2.78; CI95% 1.51-5.11), not complying with social isolation measures (PR 6.27; CI95% 4.42-8.87), not using the social media to find partners (PR 1.

    We aimed to present our initial clinical experience on the implementation of a stereotactic MR-guided online adaptive radiation therapy (SMART) for the treatment of liver metastases in oligometastatic disease.

    Twenty-one patients (24 lesions) with liver metastasis treated with SMART were included in this retrospective study. Step-and-shoot intensity-modulated radiotherapy technique was used with daily plan adaptation. During delivery, real-time imaging was used by acquiring planar magnetic resonance images in sagittal plane for monitoring and gating. Acute and late toxicities were recorded both during treatment and follow-up visits.

    The median follow-up time was 11.6 months (range, 2.2 to 24.6 months). The median delivered total dose was 50 Gy (range, 40 to 60 Gy); with a median fraction number of 5 (range, 3 to 8 fractions) and the median fraction dose was 10 Gy (range, 7.5 to 18 Gy). Ninety-three fractions (83.7%) among 111 fractions were re-optimized. No patients were lost to follow-up and all patients were alive except one at the time of analysis. All of the patients had either complete (80.9%) or partial (19.1%) response at irradiated sites. Estimated 1-year overall survival was 93.3%. Intrahepatic and extrahepatic progression-free survival was 89.7% and 73.5% at 1 year, respectively. There was no grade 3 or higher acute or late toxicities experienced during the treatment and follow-up course.

    This study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes and toxicities of salvage proton beam therapy (PBT) in patients with locoregional recurrent non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

    We retrospectively reviewed 53 patients who received salvage PBT for locoregionally recurrent NSCLC between January 2016 and December 2019. The median clinical target volume (CTV) was 71.2 cm3 (range, 13.3 to 1,200.7 cm3). The median prescribed dose was 64.0 cobalt gray equivalent (CGE) (range, 45.0 to 70.0 CGE). One-third of the patients (32.1%) received concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT).

    The patients' median age was 67 years (range, 44 to 86 years). The initial treatments were surgery in 31 (58.5%), definitive CCRT in 12 (22.6%), and definitive radiotherapy in 10 (18.9%) patients. The median disease-free interval (DFI) was 14 months (range, 3 to 112 months). Thirty-seven patients (69.8%) had a previous radiotherapy history. We aimed to present our initial clinical experience on the implementation of a stereotactic MR-guided online adaptive radiation therapy (SMART) for the treatment of liver metastases in oligometastatic disease. Twenty-one patients (24 lesions) with liver metastasis treated with SMART were included in this retrospective study. Step-and-shoot intensity-modulated radiotherapy technique was used with daily plan adaptation. During delivery, real-time imaging was used by acquiring planar magnetic resonance images in sagittal plane for monitoring and gating. Acute and late toxicities were recorded both during treatment and follow-up visits. The median follow-up time was 11.6 months (range, 2.2 to 24.6 months). The median delivered total dose was 50 Gy (range, 40 to 60 Gy); with a median fraction number of 5 (range, 3 to 8 fractions) and the median fraction dose was 10 Gy (range, 7.5 to 18 Gy). Ninety-three fractions (83.7%) among 111 fractions were re-optimized. No patients were lost to follow-up and all patients were alive except one at the time of analysis. All of the patients had either complete (80.9%) or partial (19.1%) response at irradiated sites. Estimated 1-year overall survival was 93.3%. In such systems, human activity is as critical on natural resilience as processes and sediment supply derived from the natural setting. Pre- and post-storm observations of these interactions on the intensively developed Atlantic coast of the Gulf of Cádiz, (Spain and Portugal) are examined to determine natural and engineering resilience. Three case studies are used in three CHANS, showing that human interventions interact in complex ways with the natural system influencing post-storm recovery. In natural coasts, storm impact is assessed in terms of geomorphological response; on developed coasts, it is quantified as damage to infrastructure or loss of amenity. Preparedness, availability of resources, choice of response and the speed at which human agencies respond affect resilience for post-storm beach beisaster or emergency.The intervention of human in phosphorus pool seems to be a vicious circle. The rapid population growth leads to the global food shortage, which leads to the massive use of phosphate fertilizer and the continuous exploitation of phosphate rocks. With the massive loss and fixation of phosphate fertilizer in the soil, the unavailable phosphorus in the soil becomes superfluous, while the phosphate mineral resources turn to scarce. Interestingly, exogenous carbonaceous materials, notably, biochar and humic substances, have been widely used as soil conditioners in agricultural production up to date, among other actions to interfere with the balance between the different phosphate species, which offer effective roles for increasing soil available phosphorus. This article reviews the regulation mechanisms of biochar and humic substances on phosphorus availability and circulation, including improving soil physicochemical characteristics, regulating microbial community structure, and directly interacting with phosphorus to affect the fate of phosphorus in soil. Finally, the prospects for future research directions are made, and it is hoped that the review of this article can arouse people's attention to the current plight of agricultural production and provide some methods for improving the efficiency of phosphate fertilizer use in the future.The disappearance of submerged aquatic vegetation caused by the use of purse seine in productive fishery has aroused the attention of the national government. The spatio-temporal variation of groundwater chemistry and stable isotopic signatures suggested that nitrate originated mainly from chemical fertilizers due to agricultural activities and in part from liquefied manure affected by local livestock industries. Two transport processes appeared to be responsible for the nitrate in the confined coastal aquifer 1) the direct penetration from the land surface through the wellbore leakage at incompletely grouted wells, and 2) the addition of nitrate-contaminated groundwater from upgradient areas where the confining layer is pinched out. Presently the potential nitrate sources are distributed up to 600 m above mean sea level(amsl), and the isotopic signatures implies that the provenance of coastal groundwater could be upland areas of up to 1280 m amsl. Subsequently, nitrate sources at upland areas could be picked up and carried down to the coastal groundwater under the confined condition of the basaltic aquifer that the regional groundwater recharge occurs. Consequently, groundwater contamination in the coastal aquifer should be considered in the big picture of groundwater system accommodating both regional and local flows.

    Herein, we introduce our phase II study of cisplatin plus vinorelbine combined with atezolizumab as adjuvant therapy for completely resected NSCLC with
    mutation. Accrued patients will be pathological stage II-IIIA with completely resected NSCLC and whose tumors have
    mutation. Treatment comprises four cycles of cisplatin plus vinorelbine combined with atezolizumab followed by maintenance with atezolizumab. The primary endpoint is the disease-free survival (DFS) rate at 2 years. Secondary endpoints are DFS, overall survival, and safety. In total, 18 patients will be enrolled in this study.

    During the observational period 66patients were diagnosed with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Overall survival was 84.6%. Left-sided hernia occurred in 51patients (78.5%) with amortality of 7.8%. In comparison, right-sided hernia occurred less frequently (n = 12) but showed a higher mortality (33.3%, p = 0.000). Critically instable patients were provided with venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO, 32.3%, n = 21).
